As I understand it, "sentient" most likely became the more familiar term because it was relevant in animal rights contexts. "Sentient" basically just means 'able to experience sensation'. Experience/Consciousness, the basic ability to recognize a distinction between internal and external sensations (hence why it's pretty much equivalent to 'self-awareness', literally awareness of a 'self'), was argued as the prerequisite for the capacity for suffering, so demonstrating an animal was sentient was part of arguing for better treatment of those animals. Of course, other people would try to demonstrate that an animal wasn't sentient in order to claim it was ok to do anything to them - that they were just biological automatons, in effect. A bad argument, of course, with just one reason why being that you can't really prove the absence of sentience. In scifi, characters would say things like 'you can't do that/let that happen to a sentient being', and it was a reasonable thing to say! Just that in context those 'sentient beings' would tend to be sapient as well, because that's more interesting in fiction. From there it got copied by other authors and got twisted from 'a creature as capable of suffering and of being mistreated as a human is' to 'a creature mentally equivalent to a human'. "Sapient" means having wisdom, or more specifically the capacity for abstract thought - the ability to both hold onto information and to put different pieces of information together to create projections and predictions independent of prior experience. A human who had never experienced a cave collapse may still deduce that something must hold up the roof of a cave, that that something is probably the cave wall, and that digging the cave deeper may lead to the roof falling in. A crow can see that when a human's shoelaces are untied, they tie them again - so if it unties a human's shoes, it can deduce, they'll be distracted enough for the crow to steal something. Sapience is the ability to see underlying principles across different events, to calculate and draw new conclusions. This and this, therefore that.
Of course, it can be hard to prove the absence of sapience, too, because sapience is something you do, not really something you are. A lot of humans spend most of their days not demonstrating use of their sapience at all, just following instinct and training patterns, if sophisticated ones. If you don't have a reason to use it, or something to use it with, it's hard to demonstrate that you're sapient - and if you do demonstrate it, it's easy to mistake for possibly being just instinct or training.
I'd say cut some slack on use of sentience and sapience as words, because a lot of the time they're used to talk about ethics and mistreatment, and for that, sentience is the relevant quality. Sapience doesn't really mean you're more or less capable of suffering, except maybe in that you have an enhanced capacity for anxiety, fear and emotional suffering from being able to recognize dangers and implications more easily.
More recently, some scifi has started using the word 'sophont', which also basically just means having wisdom (it's the same 'soph' as in sophist or philosopher). It's mostly a synonym for 'a sapient being', but in my experience has some stronger connotations of having transmitted knowledge, collective culture and technology.
i am on my knees tears running down my face knuckles raw and bleeding and BEGGING people to learn the difference between sentient and sapient

Hi, genuine question, why transandrophobia is not real? I just thought it was a word to describe the transphobia specifically targeted to transmascs, but if that is not the case id like to be corrected. Also your art is so beautiful I love it!
hey anon. firstly, thank you, i'm glad you like my art. secondly, i am at the end of the day just a guy who draws sometimes. this is a question which was already answered many times by transfeminists on here, and ideally you'd want to get the perspectives of tma people rather than mine. and just in general, keep up with discussions of transmisogyny and listen to transfems, yeah?
all that said, since you are asking me personally... to put it as simply as i can: transandrophobia, or transmisandry, is not real because misandry is not real. that should be the end of the discussion, really. there is no need for a special word to describe transphobia targeted at transmascs, because transphobia and/or other forms of oppression (real ones, Not misandry) depending on any particular situation already cover everything. why is there a desire for a special word to begin with, anyway? girls got one, we want one too? c'mon
but also like, all that aside, regardless of how real or not real transandrophobia is, it is a dog whistle. if someone associates with the transandrophobia crowd, they are most likely a transmisogynist. that should be enough of a reason to steer away from those guys and not trust them. sure, some posts by them might seem compelling or validating at a glance, i've definitely seen younger trans guys who don't know any better start looking in that direction because they feel like they are finally being given a tool to discuss their experiences. i assume that's partially why your question is framed like that, too, because a simple "we just want a word to discuss our oppression" is a lot more convincing than "we hate trans women and want to make them out to be the true oppressors" or "we're just men rights activists but with a trans flag, which also means that we are incapable of oppressing trans women because of our inherent connection to womanhood. don't worry about what that logic implies about our views of trans women" or... you get the picture. it's transmisogyny through and through, you don't even need to dig much
again, i hope you'll look more into what trans women have to say on this, it would do more good than my short clumsy explanation, but hopefully it at least gives you some vague idea

Fandom Discourse Analysis
Mentions of aging up, enjoying villian characters, and disliking popular characters.
Something I have noticed about anime becoming more popular and mainstream and also the rise in minors in certain spaces is a constant level of discourse over certain topics. I truly believe it’s a good thing anime has become more popular. However, as it brings in more viewers, I think it’s important too open up the conversation surrounding the necessity of distinguishing fiction from reality. There is a lot of posts I see while browsing tags and although I don’t post often I think something needs to be said about three very specific topics that, for me, mean a lot and seem to have a lot of discourse surrounding them.
One of the things I see happening a lot lately within the community is the hatred against people for liking fictional characters who happen to be minors in their respective animes. The aging up dilemma. First off, let me start by saying that a fictional pixel on a screen does not = minor. It can not be a minor because it is a drawing that was made up whenever the author wrote it. And in a lot of these instances, these characters are crafted by the authors with traits that appeal broadly to audiences, transcending their canon ages. This is particularly evident in shonen anime, where characters are often depicted with maturity, wisdom, or exaggerated physical features that align more closely with adult aesthetics rather than with children. This stylistic choice by many authors is done purposely to cater to a wide demographic, enabling viewers to form connections with characters regardless of age.
It's important to recognize that a great majority of the time it is NOT the age that attracts viewers to the character which differentiates them with people in real life who are attracted to minors. Having a crush on, or writing about a fictional character that, like I said previously more closely align with adult aesthetics, does not make someone a pedophile. I think when it comes to loli and shota, then yes maybe we can open up this conversation as those characters are made to look like children. But that’s another topic. Acknowledging the fictional nature of these characters and their resemblance to adult fictional characters should be taken into consideration and not be misconstrued as indicative of real-life inclinations towards minors. Not to mention many of these authors don’t want them to be minors which is why they write about them as adults. Again, these are NOT minors. They are drawings and their ages can be changed depending on who’s writing them. An author could come out tomorrow and say the character has always been an adult and that would make it canon. It is not the same as pedophilia. Most people like characters like Sukuna that doesn’t reflect their real life tastes. Which brings me to my next point.
Liking a villainous character does not correspond to endorsing those actions in real life. Anime often portrays "evil" characters with a depth that makes them appealing through usually through some form of tragic backstory, a charismatic or confident personality, or having extremely complex motivations. I think this makes people often misunderstand that liking them is a reflection of one's real-world values. That is not the case.
Some people even like these characters just for being attractive and due to the fact they are fictional, and again an authors way of getting people to appeal to said characters, it can not be misconstrued of saying that those actions would be okay in real life scenarios. These characters allow viewers to explore themes of conflict, redemption, and moral ambiguity that can be explored in safety because it’s fiction. I think one of the main reasons people find themselves drawn to them is that villian characters are often created with flaws and authors give them depth to explore said flaws. This is why anti-hero characters are also often seen as more relatable and engaging. Anti-heroes, like villains, aren't bound by the usual moral constraints and often make decisions that are more realistic than heroes would. They can express doubts, conflicts, and vulnerabilities that mirror real human experiences. This makes them intriguing and allows audiences to connect with them on a deeper level.
All that said I think the attraction to villainous or morally grey characters often stems from their complexity and the opportunity they provide for viewers to engage with difficult ideas and emotions in a safe, controlled setting. These characters challenge our perceptions of good and evil by navigating a blurred line between the two which is appealing for most people.
The last thing I want to bring up which kind of ties in with liking villainous characters is that disliking certain characters beloved by others is not necessarily a negative stance. Anime characters are crafted with diverse backgrounds, personalities, and motives, which naturally produce varied reactions among viewers. Understanding a character's motives yet still disliking them is completely valid and should stop being treated as inherently wrong or a negative reflection of someone.
People are allowed personal preference and I think that encourages a a better discussion within anime communities whereby differing opinions can coexist. It is through these discussions that fans can dig into character analysis and conversations revolving around characters. Recognizing that disagreement over characters is totally normal and that people can be cool with each other, or be friends and disagree is important in both real life and fiction.
At the end of the day there is also the block button which I will admit I use when needed, if you disagree with someone’s take. Instead of sending them hate and being a horrible person on the internet.

If you weren’t a royal watcher back then, then how do you remember - 7 years later - all those details so clearly to be able to have formed, and maintained, such a specific opinion?
I'm just putting together all the articles I've found.
Don’t do that, anon. If you say “I wasn’t a royal watcher then but (repeats a very popular argument Sussex Squad has been making since 2016)”, you’ll be treated like a squaddie and it won’t be fun or go well here for you. Just ask the question.
First, it is not “famously known that William strayed.” It is “famously known” that William went out with some friends and was photographed in the presence of other women. (Man interacts with women other than his wife. 😱 Shocking)
Second, you sound very confident and very sure that William absolutely “strayed” that night. Show me your proof. Because I’ve made it very clear here - unless you have cold, hard, fact-based proof, receipts, and evidence that William cheated (as in actual messages, actual videos of him kissing/fucking/what-else-have-you with other people, actual witnesses and not blurry photos taken from across the restaurant), that narrative is not tolerated or accepted here. I draw the same line with Harry and Meghan.
We can talk about rumors but what I don’t, and won’t, accept are narratives that declare it truth when there has been no proof. Which leads me to:
Third, there is absolutely zero evidence today, or previously, to make the rumor that Louis is a “save the marriage” baby plausible in even the slightest remote factor. In fact, it is more plausible and more realistic that William and Kate had a third child to delay becoming full-time working royals than it is that their marriage was in trouble and the baby was a last-ditch effort to save the relationship.
Finally, just because you weren’t a royal watcher 7 years ago doesn’t mean you’re absolved of repeating Sussex Squad rumors. It means that you’ve bought their PR - and yes, this is PR. How else do you think this became “famously known” to the point that, according to you, KP did damage control with their own PR spin? Because people who don’t like William or who hate his very existence - including Sussex Squad - used PR to bring attention to it in the very first place.
Like I said, we can talk about rumors of William cheating but as it seems you have accepted this narrative as confirmed fact, you’re best taking it somewhere else.

I was wondering if you have a Homicidal Liu, Jane the killer and Nina the killer designs?
They're nothing special that differs from how majority of the fandom views them tbh. These are not necessarily final designs, just some i doodled to get my ideas across.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I have no idea how to describe the aesthetic I'd go with for Liu, all I know that is I once heard a hc of him being a detective specifically trying to hunt down Jeff which stuck to my head since then skfksg. So i think i def want to convey that in his design somehow, which ig just means i want him to look mysterious and professional lol.
With jane's design im kinda torn between the average jane design, slim dress and elegant hair versus a more whimsigoth approach. That is just for my personal preference cause i llloove the whimsigoth aesthetic and fashion, but i do think that trad goth fits her better.
Nina my love is definitely scene and the design i have for her in my mind is way more complex than what i doodled lmao. Also a personal touch to her hoodie is bunny ears, cause i have a purple hoodie with bunny ears and it just fits her i think.
But yeah, if I were to draw these characters they'd look something like this! Ofc more polished if i were to draw them on digital, but the general idea is there

I did a whole bunch of drawings for Jason's team two weeks back, so now its time to concentrate on Steph's team! Here we've got 4 new characters for her team, with a couple extra tomorrow as well. Lets go into to them, one by one.
Tumblr media
First up is the lantern for the group, more specifically a Violet Lantern apprentice aka Miri Riam! Her reasons for coming to earth is unknown at the moment but they seem to have some connection to Carol Ferris. Carol's also a Violet Lantern and Hal's(Green Lantern) on-and-off girlfriend and occasional antagonist. Perhaps Miri was sent to become Carol's apprentice? I've got more info on whats happening there, but thats for later.
As for why Miri was chosen for the group, I knew I wanted some kind of Lantern for the team, but couldn't find a green lantern that was both in Steph's age group and have fun interactions with them. But then I thought, does it have to be a green lantern? I had a red lantern for Jason's group after all. I looked around and found Miri! I don't know her exact age but I knew she was a young adult, so I'm just gonna have her be around Steph's age group.
The Violet Lanterns Corps are very ...enthusiastic about the power of love and Miri's no exception. She wants everyone to know the joy of Love, she's honestly kinda annoying about it. I remember this one GL issue where she was destroying a city just to get Kyle and Soranik to resolve their love troubles. That pretty much became the basis for how I'm writing Miri's personality. Like I said above, I'll get more into Miri at a later time.
Tumblr media
Next is Maxine Hunkel aka Cyclone, granddaughter of Ma Hunkel aka the golden age Red Tornado! I already posted a drawing of her a while back, I thought she'd make a fun fit for the team. She's has such high energy and so much enthusiasm I couldn't help but find her utterly endearing. I think at a later point she'll end up joining the JSA but for now she's just having fun with this team.
Btw I thought that maybe her grandmother, Ma Hunkel, could fit a similar role that the other Red Tornado did for Young Justice, helping out a young hero team. Just a way to emphasize how Steph and Tim's teams can serve as foils to each other.
Tumblr media
Next up is the archer of the group, Mia Dearden aka Speedy II. Tho she should probably have a different name due to Roy still being Speedy atm. Maybe Speedette? Ehhh, gotta workshop that.
Anyways here's Mia and Steph meeting as civilians, with Mia showing off her bow. Mia seems to be in some sort of school uniform, perhaps Oliver is sponsoring her to go to a fancy academy? Her backstory is similar to canon, with Oliver saving her from bad people. I'm not sure if her story should be exactly the same as canon, since Mia is 10 but terrible things like that do happen in real life to young children. But I don't know if a goofy au like mine is the best place to show that. But for now lets just say Mia is currently trying to heal and become a hero like Green Arrow.
I imagine Steph and Mia get along really well, they just get each other in a lot of ways. Steph can see Mia might be hurting inside and wants to cheer her up, hopefully with all of Mia's new friends she can.
Last up is Jaime Reyes aka Blue Beetle III. Unfortunately I haven't drawn him all that much so no individual drawing for him, tho I do like him.
As for why Jaime, I remember liking him in the YJ cartoon and found him pretty likeable in the comics as well. But I've always like the spiderman hero archetype anyways, which Jaime fits really well (I mean, it was done on purpose). Static and Sideways also fit the archetype and are in the team as well. Arguably you can say add Steph to this too, probably more than Tim in my personal opinion.
Another reason I wanted to add Jaime is that he and Steph almost became teammates in canon, in a failed Young Justice project. What could have been huh. Third reason is more silly tho, if Barbara and Ted Kord start to date in this au, imagine how grossed out Steph and Jaime will be lmao.
So there's four new teammates for the team, but! I've got a couple extra for tomorrow! And later on I hope to finally post some more doodles of these characters (some of them are real old, more than a year old). Especially Miri, she turned out to be such a fun character, and I've always liked the all the lantern corps. Here's a bonus doodle of them btw (with bonus unmasked Sideways):

So many new members, well, hope you liked all that!

I understand it, too.
I genuinely do find Solas attractive, albeit in a different way. I would love to romance him with a different character someday---I just wish we got Solas for who he truly was from the start of that romance or that the truth had come out earlier. I'm good at avoiding spoilers, and I hadn't known he would betray the Inquisitor, nor had I even known you couldn't romance him as a human. I had actually gone in fully expecting Mira to flirt with him a little (I knew nothing about Cullen's romance at the time and had always heard Solas was the way to go), but that's simply not how their dynamic played out anyway.
I have no doubt his and Lavellan's is an enthralling story in DA:I, and I would at some point like to experience it. I fully understand the appeal. I would fully be there myself with the right character and mindset.
Solas is captivating. He's someone you could talk with for hours on end about the most abstract concepts, but there's always that small sense of him keeping his distance (even before the topic ever comes up). Even I knew there was more he wasn't saying by the way he dodged questions and some of the dialogue between him and other companions. Though for someone who didn't know better, that could've simply meant he was far more powerful than he let on, knew more than he let on, likely older than he seemed, and wanted to protect himself. The whole, "elven god of lies" thing was a bit more of a twist than I'd anticipated. A secret, ancient elf hiding some things I can do, especially if those layers get peeled back over time. I'm less sure about elven Loki.
I think it truly would've been interesting had it gone a bit more in the direction of Children of Fallen Gods/Mother of Death and Dawn (which, some have noticed, draws some considerable parallels to Solavellan in ways that can't be considered coincidence). Without bringing too many spoilers to the forefront of the conversation, there is some...mutual awareness and corruption that occurs between Totally-Not-Solas and Totally-Not-Lavellan. The power dynamic's more balanced and decision making more...comparable to some degree.
(I am not, by the way, blaming Solas or pointing any fingers at anyone regarding their power dynamics in DA:I).
Solas is the guy whose beauty (if you lean that way at all) isn't quite as noticeable until you get into a really deep discussion with him and realize your heart's beating a little too quickly and you're definitely sitting closer to him now than you were before. He draws you in. He piques your curiosity a bit too much.
I truly do not factor in looks at all (within reason---I'm blatantly partial to humans, elves, fae, vampires, etc.) when I play games with romance options. Solas (in theory; I played as a human, which negates the option) would've been every bit as high up on my to-romance list as Cullen. In truth, he was higher just because he was the one I knew so many were obsessed with. Just because Cullen caught my eye faster didn't mean he and my Inquisitor would've been a good match.
But wow, were they.
I easily lean more towards the "Solas-is-attractive" camp in general. Honestly, I love the fact that the romance options in DA:I were so different and unique from each other. Any players who chose to pursue a romance could find one that suited their characters perfectly. I like that there are a range of personalities, dynamics, and looks, and that there's good variety.
For me personally, nothing in that particular game will ever top Cullen's just because it's so incredibly hyper-specific to every little thing I love and value most even in real life. It's perfect for Mira's story; she is, admittedly, a lot like me. I couldn't believe a romance like that even existed in a game (and you already know why/the many layers I'm referring to).
Yet I also know there are plenty who wouldn't like his romance at all and vastly prefer Solas (or someone else in general).
That's the beauty of it, though.
But, yeah..."ugly?" That's not even a word I'd consider for Solas at all.

Random q but do you think lesbians can be fujos?
oh ok so I do have thoughts on this. I do think lesbians can ship mxm obviously bc shipping doesn't = ravenously consuming smut content BUT I feel like in order to be a fujoshi you do kind of have to fetishize mxm in fiction-which is morally neutral btw & I promise if someone comes to my inbox again talking about the evil fujos I will simply laugh. imagine yaoi being treated as an important social justice issue like what a joke. oh I'm sorry are the fictional drawings going to be made to feel small under the oppressive weight of my my lecherous voyeuristic gaze ? crying tears of blood in shame
ANYWAYS ok I got off topic. my point is I don't understand why a lesbian would specifically have an affinity for mxm ships like even above fxf ships. makes no sense to me. but I acknowledge that there's actually a lot of fujos who have no interest in dating men or even any attraction to real life men sometimes & only go for women, in which case idk what to call them. I mean their dating & sex behavior is identical to lesbians but then they're going home to write graphic mxm smut? I feel like you have to be at least a kinsey 5.9 for that to appeal to you. but I'm never gonna get super heated at someone who only is attracted to women irl for identifying as a lesbian when there's such a greater evil lurking in this world (women who date men while calling themselves lesbians)

Day 53
Alright so I’m gonna level with you.
I REALLY wanted to do a V3 based pic for this day. However at the time I couldn’t for the life of me come up with an actual idea for it.
I think it’s because I was very tunnel visioned on specifically trying to do something with Junko Enoshima the 53rd, for very obvious reasons. This was back before I really had any opinions on Tsumugi, at that point the space she held in my brain was “Unique Antagonist that shows up semi-often in Junkan Fics.”
Which isn’t like, the best way one could view the character I can imagine. Though she had it better than Yasuke at least I didn’t even know who he was outside of occasionally appearing in these fics until like, somewhere in the first month of Project Production. I’ve never read DR0, someday though. someday.
Anyway back to Tsumugi, mostly thanks to the local bandit, I’ve come to appreciate the character a lot more. I’m not like, an expert on the character. I'm still kind of feeling things out purely through osmosis, i’m not really an expert on nothing. However I like her a lot more than I used to, which means I have hindsight.
If I was making Day 53 right now I would probably just make some kind of art about Tsumugi being a Junkan Shipper. We’ve all given characters headcanon based on ourselves before, gender, sexuality, personal experiences, that weird clicking thing you can do with your thumb (or is that just me?), we love to impart aspects of ourselves onto these characters.
And when the hell else am I going to headcanon such a specific fuckin’ aspect of myself such as “I ship Junkan” onto a character? It’s Tsumugi or nothing.
Honestly I’m not gonna guarantee but I might actually just make a pic based on what I’m currently thinking for a Tsumugi Themed Junkan art, and just, posted the same day as this one? If I do i’ll schedule it in advance to post like, an hour or two after this one. Enjoy the suspense of whether I actually did that or not!
Oh, and I actually edited this image a bit. Both because I thought Junko's face just looked, bad in this. But also for reasons I'm not gonna bother getting into right now. However as a result we got this funny bit during the editing process
Tumblr media
What if Junko was creepypasta lol . . . . . . . oh
oh god DAMMIT WAIT I LIKE THIS. Now I can't draw it until this Day gets released! DAMMIT!

Given your classification of Wicked, what is your favorite "fanfiction that society pretends is not fanfiction"?
hmm i thought this over for a bit and couldn't think of anything. i think my definition of "this is just a fanfic" is stricter than a lot of those posts joking about how, eg, dante's inferno is just bible fic. for my definition, a fanfic is:
not done with the explicit blessing of copyright holder. so things like tie-in novels, while often feeling like fanfiction, are not (EXCEPTION: if a creator has been like "ooooh hehehe i love fanfiction and i encourage it!!" that does NOT count as "explicit blessing"). if it's public domain and there's no one to give a blessing, it's still fanfic (e.g., Wicked itself)
i don't generally count things based on religion or mythology as fanfiction unless it's based really strongly on a very specific text. so i don't count dante's inferno or good omens or supernatural as "bible fanfiction" because while those stories draw from christian mythology, they use christian mythos beyond just the bible. nor would i count Percy Jackson as Greek mythology fanfic, but i guess i would consider counting the tiktok musical Epic as an Odyssey fanfic because it's based on a specific text. you're free to disagree with me on this; i am aware there are indeed "bible" and folklore categories on most fanfiction websites
i generally tend to lean towards only counting written works as fanfic, which might disqualify the Epic example above. but for the sake of this conversation, we'll let non-written media be fic
i'm on the fence about across-media adaptations as fanfic. translations and audiobooks are not fanfiction (but ARE transformative works). shot-for-shot remakes don't seem like they should be fanfics? i think for adaptations that make changes, i.e. wicked the book compared to wicked the musical, then i would count it as fanfic.... and i think i have to allow this even when very few changes or made, because some fics are literally just the exact same story but now sasuke is a girl. i'm currently working on a fic that's literally just a canon event from a different POV. sometimes a fanfic is just canon with one (1) change
so then for my favorite......... i'm not sure. my first thought was the zillions of takes on sherlock holmes that exist, but i can't say i'm particularly enamored with any of them (unless i've forgotten an old favorite?) Mean Girls might technically be fanfic of the book Queen Bees and Wannabes, which is the funniest answer

Little Pony and Little Johnny Facts
Little Pony is almost always called Pony or Pone. Or Little Colt / Colt (Darry and Soda exclusive, however). Johnny calls him Pone-Pone, and he cries if anyone else calls Ponyboy that. Steve uses "Little boy", and Dally typically uses 'Kid' no matter which one he's referencing, Two-Bit does too, though he's usually referencing Ponyboy (he calls Johnny 'puppy' / 'Little puppy' and Johnny is "weirdly" attached to it).
Ponyboy hates, and I mean absolutely hates, the color green. He will not use any child's plate or utensil's or cups that are green. He will cry or get unreasonably pissed off or just unmanageable. He will also refuse to be next to you if you are wearing green; something Steve found out the hard way (and he was surprisingly upset by this).
Johnny cannot stand scratchy clothing on himself. He will break down and cry and it will not stop until the clothes are off of him. And then he steals someone's softest sweatshirt and wears only that for a while. It helps him come down from the feeling of scratchy clothes. (Dally bought a shit ton of soft clothing with his secret job and got really soft detergent for the Curtis' household)
Johnny loves the color Purple, and red but red isn't loved as much as purple is. He has a purple long sleeved shirt that he curls up in and he'll get these sleep-y eyes and he will curl up into Ponyboy's side (if he's not actively doing something that requires lots of movement), beside Ponyboy, or against Dally. Sometimes he'll curl up with Sodapop on the couch while Two-Bit and Ponyboy play.
Speaking of, Pony and Johnny absolutely have favorites when it comes to the gang. Ponyboy's is Sodapop and Two-Bit, whilst Johnny's is Dally and Darry (Steve is Sodapop's favorite, and surprisingly, Dally's favorite). Pony absolutely loves days with Two-Bit, which usually end with the two of them worn out, or passed out before Dinner is even made, the two of them curled up together. Pony has less nightmares after day's with Two-Bit.
Johnny hates going outside for any reason no matter how 'old' or 'young' he regresses. The Curtis household is his safe place, and having or needing to leave it will leave him dead silent with watery eyes and shakey breathing, which may sound like an over reaction… it's not. He's absolutely terrified of even being in the yard (Dally found out that if you wrap him up in a blanket and hold him, Johnny's fine with being on the porch). Johnny's scared of someone finding out about his and Pony's regression and it internalized to Little Johnny; Little Pony absolutely does not care, as long as he has Johnny or Sodapop, or Two-Bit, he does not care where they are.
Little Pony loves rabbit's and deer, while Little Johnny loves bears and puppies. Specifically in stuffed animals, though stickers and drawings and designs absolutely make them smile. They gang ended up saving up a lot, wanting to give a gift to the little's (the flips included, not that Dally or Sodapop knew this) a bracelet with a charm on it. Each bracelet was pretty pricy, although not too expensive. Pony's has a rabbit charm, Johnny's has a puppy, Sodapop's has a duck, and Dally's has a bear. All four teared up (Dally) or cried (the other three)… There was a cuddle pile with four regressors and the remaining caregivers.
If Johnny hated anyone being mad at him while he is not regressed, he hates anyone even being upset in general around him when he is regressed. He will tear up and start to cry too; something that has absolutely freaked Steve out when he ended up babysitting both littles. He'd managed to figure out that Ponyboy had gotten upset because of something that happened in his story and it seemingly affected Johnny despite Ponyboy never outwardly reacting other than a quiet whimper, and even then Steve would not classify the sound Ponyboy made to a whimper.

Mortifying! Transformers equivalent of nearly 30yo man forced to third wheel his parents

[Image ID: A digital drawing of RiD15 Ratchet, Optimus and Bumblebee. Optimus and Ratchet are holding hands with Optimus smiling gently and Ratchet either talking or laughing. Bumblebee is walking next to them, looking bored. The background is mostly white, except for a patch of grassy dirt defined under their feet. The artist's signature, Silverior968 is overlayed over the image in green. / End ID]
