Bridging the Distance: Exploring the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens for UK Canon Users
For Canon camera users in the UK seeking to bridge the distance and capture breathtaking telephoto shots, the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens emerges as a compelling option. This versatile lens strikes a perfect balance between reach, performance, and portability, making it ideal for various photography styles, including wildlife, sports, and travel adventures across the UK.
Unleashing the Power of Zoom:
The 100-400mm focal length boasts an impressive zoom range, allowing you to effortlessly capture distant subjects. Whether it's a majestic stag silhouetted against the Scottish Highlands or a thrilling action sequence on the football pitch, this lens empowers you to frame your desired composition without needing to physically move closer. This reduces unwanted distractions and allows you to focus solely on your subject, enhancing the creative freedom and storytelling potential of your photography.
Travel Light, Shoot Big:
Unlike conventional super-telephoto lenses known for their bulk, the RF 100-400mm surprises with its compact and lightweight design. Weighing approximately 635g, it becomes a perfect companion for photographers on the move, especially those who value portability and ease of use. This makes it ideal for exploring the diverse landscapes of the UK, from the rugged coastlines of Wales to the bustling streets of London, without feeling weighed down by your equipment.
Sharpen Your Focus, Steady Your Shots:
Canon's renowned image stabilization (IS) technology shines through in this lens, offering up to 5.5 stops of shake correction. This allows you to capture sharp and clear images even at slower shutter speeds, a significant advantage in low-light conditions or when using the lens handheld. When paired with a compatible Canon EOS R series camera featuring in-body image stabilization (IBIS), the combined system can achieve an impressive 6 stops of correction, further minimizing camera shake and blurring for exceptional image quality.
Silent Speed, Precise Focus:
The Nano USM autofocus motor ensures smooth, quiet, and precise focusing, crucial for capturing fast-moving subjects like athletes in action or elusive wildlife. This silent operation also makes it ideal for situations where noise might be disruptive, such as during concerts or wedding ceremonies. This combination of speed and quietness allows you to capture fleeting moments with precision and discretion.
Uncompromising Image Quality:
Featuring one Ultra-Low Dispersion (UD) element and one Aspherical element, the RF 100-400mm effectively minimizes chromatic aberration and other forms of distortion throughout the zoom range. This translates to sharp, high-quality images with excellent colour clarity and detail, ensuring your photos accurately reflect the beauty and vibrancy of the UK's diverse landscapes and subjects.
A Perfect Fit for UK Photographers:
For Canon camera enthusiasts in the UK, the RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens offers several unique advantages:
Capture the Majesty of the UK: From the dramatic cliffs of Dover to the serene beauty of the Lake District, this lens allows you to capture the essence of the UK's diverse landscapes from a variety of perspectives.
Embrace Wildlife Encounters: The UK boasts a rich tapestry of wildlife, from majestic red kites soaring over the Welsh countryside to playful otters frolicking in the Scottish lochs. This lens offers the necessary reach and image stabilization for capturing stunning wildlife moments in detail.
Travel with Ease: Whether exploring the bustling streets of London or venturing into the remote beauty of the Scottish Highlands, the compact and lightweight design makes the RF 100-400mm a perfect travel companion for photographers on the go.
Conclusion:
The Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens stands out as a versatile and powerful option for Canon camera users in the UK seeking to bridge the distance and capture breathtaking telephoto shots. Its combination of features makes it ideal for wildlife, sports, travel, and various other photography endeavours. Hi, my partner and I absolutely love all your pictures! We have an interest in photography and are wondering what gear you're using.
Much love from a fellow Värmlänning!
Hello there, fellow Värmlänning,
I’m glad you and your partner like my pictures!
My go-to camera, especially in the summer, is a Canon EOS 80D. I also own a Canon 6D Mark II, which I tend to use more during winter and on dark, cloudy, or rainy days. For lenses, I rely on the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM zoom lens for distant shots, and a 100mm f/2.8L Macro lens for capturing close-up details of flowers, plants, and insects. I’ve been using these cameras and lenses for years, and I know them as well as family. Sometimes we argue (“Focus!”, “No, it’s NOT too dark!”, “Why can’t you communicate like a normal camera?!” etc.), but I always love them, quirks and all.
I also have a wide-angle lens. Unfortunately, my zoom lens is beyond repair, and I’ll need to replace it eventually, but it’s just not affordable right now. I can still use it, though the quality isn’t what it used to be in every situation. I find myself arguing with it even more than before, but it won’t listen to reason. Still, I won’t give up on it—I never give up on old friends!
Canon has released a whole new line of cameras and lenses since I got my gear, and I know plenty of people who prefer other brands, but I’ve been very happy with my setup. Whatever you decide on, I recommend trying it out before buying if possible. Secondhand gear is also a great option. While the camera is important, a high-quality zoom lens can make just as much of a difference, depending on the kind of shots you’re after. Most importantly, have fun with it. Creative people can take amazing photos with any old camera they find!
All the best, Michael

If tssm, msm and usm Norman Osborn swapped universes, how would the Peter's impressions be?
(i did a random roulette, so usm norman goes with tssm peter, tssm norman goes with msm peter, and msm norman goes with usm peter)
usm norman would probably feel the same about tssm peter as he does with usm peter; "the son he never had" and stuff. the only difference would be that tssm peter doesnt take usm norman's weed
tssm norman would not stand msm peter. absolutely annoyed. get me out of here i cant stand listening to this kid ramble on for another second i have shit to do
usm peter would hate msm norman. imo msm norman was the goofiest goblin out of all the normans (now that i think about it hes kind of like william afton but worse), and usm peter would sniff him out immediately. does not buy any of his bullshit or listen to anything he says

While drawing my usm characters redesigns I always search lots of clothes references and ideas that would fit the characters... And then I end up buying some of them for myself lol-
Or even better - I already own something that would suit the character and I just draw them wearing it (sometimes I change colors tho) (its mostly shoes tbh)

Your thoughts on the new All-In series announced at NYCC ?(Aquaman finally gets a series back !)
Anonymous asked: Adams taking over Aquaman. Realised his thing is apparently doing back to basics relaunches for characters who haven't gotten books in a while
Shame the solicits leaked early and spoiled a bunch of the announcements. Yes Adams does seem to be establishing a niche for himself as the guy DC asks to do "crowd-pleasing" cleanup runs for fallen franchises. It's a role Waid has played himself in the past, no wonder he likes Adams.

Truthfully Adams has yet to keep me engaged. I fell off his Flash and then his GL, but I'll be giving him another chance here. Seems like it could be dumb fun and that's all I'm looking for. At least there won't be any dumb relationship drama between Arthur and Mera like he did with Hal and Carol.
Wow where do I even begin? "John Jones" being white is not what I expected. That's twice now Camp has declined to use the racebent version of a character, instead opting for the original white appearance (the other was 6160 Nick Fury being white). Surprised me, until I remembered that Camp has said New Frontier is one of his favorite DC stories. With that in mind his approach makes more sense. Meanwhile "J'onn" being an interdimensional alien who looks like a Pablo Picasso painting and doesn't even actually hail from Mars apparently is probably the biggest swing we'll see done with the basic character concept in the AU. I'm intrigued by this approach and am eager to see what Camp does given how much I've loved his Ultimates.
Rapid fire thoughts on the other announcements:
Absolute Flash and Absolute GL both look amazing art wise. Doing Flash by way of Bendis/Bagley USM was a no-brainer buy from me, but Ewing seemingly treating the Green Lantern as an object of cosmic horror akin to the Space Odyssey Monolith is raising my hopes for his run
New Gods is going to make Cagle a household name, everything about this book is screaming that it's going to be Ram V giving New Gods the Swamp Thing treatment in a way that finally gets people to care about the Fourth World outside of Darkseid and Apokolips. Dare I hope that the child spoken of in the solicits is Osul and Ram will be acknowledging PKJ's Olgrun contribution? He and PKJ seem friendly and thus it's not outside the realm of possibility
Jace Fox Batman returns and looks like he'll be involved in a new Power Company book. Good for Jace, I thought DC had completely given up on him
Seems like Volcana is making her first mainline comics debut in BL which is neat
Ridley is the next Superstar writer on Action and doing a story about... hope. Yay. He's had more misses than hits lately, and his misses with Black Panther in particular were unbelievably awful, but I want to believe he will bring some of that Other History fire to this. If not it's only three issues. Can't believe DC is dragging this era out, are they seriously going to go to June with this Superstar bullshit? I know what I said previously but I will be mega butthurt if they're dragging this out only to announce Taylor taking over

Sam Alexander headcanons
Just a bunch of random headcanons abt my boy Sam
USM Nova
Since he's the shortest(and most likely the smallest in the team), he often gets teased by Peter, who's just a little bit taller than Sam. There were plenty times when they had some banters because of this height issue, that Ava and Danny often were dragged into it. Usually it always ends with Luke's "My dwarfs are bantering again lol" and now everyone after his smug tall ass.
Not a dancer, not a singer, not a musician, but definetely an artist. Has a little art account where he posts his super cool drawings for his 47 followers. It's a small fan base, but they're definetely active and even have their own discord group where they help each other to improve their skills. Nobody knows about this account(Except for Coulson who keeps that sacred secret) and Sam kinda feels like that's the only way he can actually express himself without getting worried about being annoying.
And about being annoying. Sam is definetely uncomfortable with being seen as clingy, because he's not! He's just really talkative extrovert and he does have some problems with shuting up when he's talking about things he's interested in. That's why usually only Danny can handle his endless rants about Space adventures.
Likes to play in Minecraft, especially with space mods, even made a skin of himself. Once tried to make everyone on the team to play in Minecraft and succeed! They've played for 2 hours straight, busy with different stuff. Pretty much sure Danny was exploring the world, Luke got an armor and ran to fight that Dragon, Ava was trying to make a big stylish house and was complaining that there was no female villagers, Peter was constantly dying because of the stupidest things ever, and Sam? Sam was multitasking and helping them all out. It was a fun experience.
Champion Sam
He's actually an extremely overethinking person with quick reflexes. That's pretty much how he survives in space. It happens that his overthinking is also quite a problem, because it often makes him anxious, especially when he loses fights, or gets in awkward conversation with adult superheroes or just talks to girls he liked. Sometime it's just easier to fly away, but he not oftens gets an opportunity to do so.
In childhood he kinda was 'impressed' by gangsta thing and tried to walk around with his pants sagging. His mom was concerned by that, because gangs aren't about fun and what if her little baby boy will get in some bad company? Luckily, it couldn't happen because his dad clowned him so badly, he was in embarassed state for two weeks at the very least.
It is a bit hard for him to participate in conversations with others about science since he was never a fan of it, but hey, at least he can make jokes about science! (Although most of them are insanely innacurate). Whenever he cracks a joke everyone will went silent for a few seconds, before Kamala will laugh like it was the funniest joke ever, really forcing natural laugh and others will start that too, since, yeah, Sam's joke is terrible, but he tried!
Somehow installed his playlist in his helmet and whenever he has to fly to somewhere for a long time, which is at least 15 minutes, and it is already long for him, he turns in on and just flies, vibing. Sometime it feels like running in the morning and he made an excuse out of it that works perfectly. Back then when only his mom knew about his secret, he used this excuse a lot. He needs to fly and save someone? "Guys, I'm going jogging, yeah, bye" and when he returs he's kinda sweaty and tired and everyone buys it. He can't use this excuse now though, everyone who needs know about his secret identity.
Yepppp, that's ittt, yehhhhh

I wanna generate hype for Ultimate Black Panther! Ultimate Spider-Man started the new universe out right, and this looks to be just as amazing! USM obviously is a big success but having this new Black Panther find a strong following would be even better! Peach Momoko did the designs for Killmonger and Oyoyo and she’s also the main artist for the Ultimate X-Men!
God, Marvel comics is so back.
Thanks for this!!! These are great! I can't wait to buy these <3

Okay, I was finally able to find a PDF of the Hobgoblin arc in the original USM comics and read it this morning after putting it off for years; for context, I followed USM as it was coming out during the 2000s and stopped when Gwen was killed off during the Carnage arc, only sporadically checking things years after print, so technically I had last seen the USM version of Harry at the end of the Ultimate Six storyline way back during its original run, and all I knew is that Harry died eventually, though I misremembered when exactly.
Anyway, I wasn't going to liveblog my read through, though I did wish I had jotted down thoughts as I was going along bc I have a lot of general and specific thoughts that I can't remember off the top of my head, and maybe I will go back later to jog my memory, but here are my main thoughts on the storyline:
It's just okay? It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't say it's good either - the most accurate description I can think of is that it felt more like set up for the next Goblin arc than a complete story in and of itself bc most of it is just Harry running around for exposition until he becomes the Hobgoblin unintentionally right at the end and it's over in one issue.
I think I would have enjoyed the story a lot more if I had read it as a teenager bc as an adult, I just really didn't care about all the high school dating drama, and the love triangle but not really between Peter, Harry, and MJ is a major part of the character drama, and I just don't find it compelling now, even if it makes sense for characters who are supposed to be fifteen.
USM had this weird thing where each arc was heavily decompressed, but the overall pacing both in terms of in universe events and the plotting of arcs was highly compressed in that ten years of real time publishing takes places within a year of the in universe timeline, so major events happen at a breakneck pace within months of Peter becoming Spider-Man - and Harry as a character definitely suffers from this bc this version of him feels very underdeveloped; from what I remember about the issues that one before this arc, he disappears for very long stretches of time where he reappears for a few issues before disappearing again, and he doesn't really get much depth as a character or in terms of his relationships, especially with Peter, like, tbh I still feel like I don't know anything about this Harry and had a time really buying them as close childhood friends forever in this universe, so the intended emotional moments didn't hit as hard for me as they were supposed to, and Harry's general absence is definitely why so much of the arc was just exposition for setting up the next Goblin arc.
I generally like Bagley's art, but I do think he has a problem with consistency when it comes to faces (and same face, especially for women) and his faces sometimes look weirdly rubbery and like people are melting, though in fairness, I remember USM being on a fast schedule, so it's not really his fault - anyway, with Harry, his design is inconsistent in a jarring way bc in some panels, he does look like a teenager, but in other panels, he looks like a grown man in his twenties or even thirties, which makes the intended hard hitting moments of him just being a child kind of awkward.
There is a certain scene that is just awful in terms of the copaganda (taps the sign that says that Spider-Man is not ACAB) that reads even worse today, and it's weird bc you could do a reading of the scene as being about police corruption, but it's framed as a positive bonding moment between two cops (Spider-Man not beating the Spider-Cop allegations) - though I suddenly remembered that I think Jean DeWolffe in this universe turns out to be a corrupt cop (shaking my head to show I think all cops are corrupt) instead of the Good Cop TM she is in the 616 comics, so maybe this scene was supposed to be read as shady and not like girlboss cop thing.

In the ever-evolving world of photography, the right equipment can significantly impact creativity and efficiency. The Canon EOS R5 C and the RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM Lens are two standout products that cater to both professional photographers and videographers. Available at AWPRO in Dubai, these pieces of equipment promise to enhance your shooting experience while addressing common challenges faced by photographers.
Canon EOS R5 C Powerhouse
The Canon EOS R5 C is a groundbreaking mirrorless cinema camera that excels in both still photography and video recording. With a full-frame sensor boasting 45 megapixels, it captures stunning images with exceptional detail. Here are some key features:
8K RAW Video Recording: The R5 C allows for internal recording of 8K video at up to 60 frames per second, making it ideal for filmmakers seeking high-resolution footage.
Dynamic Range: With an impressive 15 stops of dynamic range, this camera provides excellent detail in shadows and highlights, crucial for dynamic scenes.
Autofocus System: Utilizing Dual Pixel CMOS AF II, it offers fast and accurate focusing, essential for capturing moving subjects.
Challenges and Solutions:
Heat Management: Extended recording times can lead to overheating. The R5 C includes a built-in cooling fan, enabling non-stop 8K recording without interruptions
Weight Considerations: Weighing around 1.7 pounds, it is relatively lightweight for a full-frame camera, but can still feel cumbersome during long shoots. Pairing it with lighter lenses like the RF 70-200mm can help alleviate this issue.
RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM Lens Versatility in a Compact Design
The RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM Lens is renowned for its versatility across various photography genres, from portraits to sports. Its design is notably 27% shorter and 28% lighter than its EF counterpart, enhancing portability without sacrificing performance.
Key Features:
Image Stabilization: With up to 5 stops of image stabilization, this lens ensures sharp images even in low-light conditions or during handheld shooting.
Custom Control Ring: A unique feature of RF lenses is the customizable control ring on the barrel, allowing photographers to adjust settings intuitively while shooting.
Challenges and Solutions:
Limited Zoom Range: While the 70-200mm range is versatile, some may find it limiting for specific scenarios. Adding a teleconverter can extend its reach without compromising image quality.
Bokeh Quality: Achieving beautiful bokeh can be challenging with zoom lenses. However, the large f/2.8 aperture allows for stunning background blur, making it suitable for portrait photography.
Impact on Photographers
Both the Canon EOS R5 C and RF 70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM Lens significantly enhance a photographer's toolkit:
Convenience: Their compact designs make them easy to carry, allowing photographers to shoot longer without fatigue.
Quality Output: The combination of high-resolution imaging and advanced autofocus systems results in professional-grade photos and videos.
Creative Flexibility: With capabilities spanning various formats and settings, these tools empower photographers to explore their creativity without limitations.
Where to Buy
For those in Dubai looking to elevate their photography game, both products are available at AWPRO. This reputable retailer offers competitive pricing and expert advice on camera gear.

Comics this week ?
Action Comics #1076 - I’m out. I can’t justify buying a weekly series that I’m not enjoying, the cost is too high. Waid delivers at least one good character beat an issue, for Clark anyway, but his plots are terrible. Henry simply doesn’t have enough time to make the art look good. Waid’s Kenan/Kon voices are seriously off-kilter, although Kon becoming Space Emperor of the Khunds is the first interesting direction for him since his return. I continue to enjoy the Kara backup but hopefully I can get a trade of it somewhere. What a disappointment this turned out to be from Waid, serious possibility that LDoLL is the final Superman story from him I buy. I genuinely believe that the election shredding his belief in Silver Age storytelling conventions might be the best thing that has ever happened to him as a writer. It’s time for him to evolve or retire.
World’s Finest #33 - Almost dropped this too but I’m holding off to see if that Jimmy story next issue can hold my interest.
Jenny Sparks #4 - I liked it. Glad Jenny got shocked when Carla actually killed Ronald, she’s been fairly smug and cynical about everything and that can get annoying if it’s never undermined. I’d say contrasting Obama bragging about how killing Bin Laden makes Western civilization safer with Jenny setting up one of the CEOs responsible for causing the Great Recession which basically destroyed millennials chances of upward mobility and revealed the hollowness of American capitalism is pretty heavy handed… except people seem to think King is writing an America Fuck Yeah story so maybe it’s not heavy handed ENOUGH. The point being that the methods of Obama, and Jenny who previously shared them, wherein you kill the “bastards” and use violence to make the world better is completely worthless when the world you’re aiming to protect is rotting from within.
Wonder Woman #15 - For a run that didn’t plan to use the WGs at all initially, King has done more than anyone else in recent memory to make me like them. Diana trusting Cheetah enough to interrogate someone did feel like a stretch, I dunno if I buy that she’d be that quick to trust Barbara to hold back. Great issue, and I loved the backup with Steve. I really am eager to see more of a deep dive into him as a character.
Ultimate Spider-Man #11 - Read this first and it’s probably why I’m harsh on Waid because this might be the platonic ideal of a Spider-Man issue. Perfect mix of superhero action and organic drama. Spidey gets to snark back at the civs who give him grief, show how much he’s grown as a hero via taking down a bunch of henchmen single-handedly, and when he loses it’s not because of incompetence or “Parker Luck”, but because Peter is too compassionate for his own good and doesn’t want to hurt the brainwashed people. Even gets some respect from the villains with Negative immediately recognizing that Spidey is someone he can’t control.
Meanwhile on the drama side, MJ reveals she’s freaking out beneath her mask of calm because seeing Peter arrive home all beaten and bloody hammers how serious the stakes are. Peter and MJ get a heart to heart conversation where they talk about their concerns like adults, and then they get horny because they love each other! With Ben at the end we get the reveal that he knows Peter is Spider-Man, and Ben again drives home how serious the danger is by asking Peter if he’s ready to die, which Peter answers in the negative. It’s great stuff! It’s Hickman deftly predicting every complaint people might have about this slow burn and responding accordingly! The first year of USM has been “the good times”, but now as we enter the second year the story is setting up Spidey for a fall. Someone is going to die, that much is clear, only question is who. Ben is the obvious choice, he even thinks it will be himself based on his talk with Peter, but right now I think it’s going to be Jonah who bites it.

Claims arise against Globe House Buyers,LLC and Michael Candelario
On Dec. 18, 2019, the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force arrested Candelario in Phoenix. The original warrant stems from Candelario’s failure to appear last year for a status hearing on his retrial for felony theft charges, said Det. Sam Hatley, with the Carson City (Nev.) Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division. The jury trial ended with a hung jury—11 to 1 in favor of conviction, Hatley said.
As the former owner of the Lake Tahoe Brewing Company, Candelario was arrested by CCSO deputies on a property theft-related warrant in 2016. The U.S. Marshals service states that Candelario advertised beer canning equipment for sale on a brewing industry website. The victim, who owned a brewery in British Columbia, Canada, made an agreement with Candelario to buy the equipment. Allegedly, while the victim paid more than $45,000, Candelario received the funds but never arranged for the equipment to be shipped to him.
A U.S. military veteran, the victim was allegedly forced to cash in his retirement to cover the losses. He filed a report with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in British Columbia, which forwarded it to the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrested Candelario without incident at his former brewing company, which closed in January 2016.
USMS also alleges that Candelario is involved with fraudulent activities across the nation, setting up fake companies taking money from hospitals in Virginia, Louisiana and California.
After his Phoenix arrest last month, Candelario appeared before Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Judge Barbara L. Spencer.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Candelario was released on a $25,000 bond on Dec. 19, 2019, despite being the subject of a no-bail warrant out of Carson City, Nev.
After learning about Candelario’s release, Carson City District Attorney Jason Woodbury said, “We are working with the Maricopa County Attorney’s office to process a Governor’s Warrant from our jurisdiction so Mr. Candelario can be extradited back to our jurisdiction for trial.”
Asked if he was consulted prior to Candelario’s release, Woodbury said no, adding that at first he was “very concerned because the process in our jurisdiction is different.”
“In Carson City, a person will be held in jail for an out-of-state warrant until he or she waives extradition, is actually extradited or posts the bail required by the warrant,” Woodbury said. “I was worried that Mr. Candelario had been authorized to post a bond not authorized by our warrant and we would not see him again.”
Since then, however, Woodbury learned that Maricopa County’s process is different, “or at least it was in this case,” he said.
“He is allowed to surrender himself on the warrant in Nevada if he chooses,” Woodbury said. “Otherwise, he is required to appear before the Maricopa County Court every 30 days pending extradition.”
Candelario is scheduled for fugitive from justice hearings on Jan. 29, Feb. 12 and March 11, all on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. Spencer waived Candelario’s required presence at the Jan. 29 FFJ hearing.
Maricopa County contacted the Carson City Sheriff’s Office “fairly quickly after Candelario bailed out to let them know we’d have to go through the formal extradition process,” Woodbury said.
At this point, Woodbury’s office is proceeding with Candelario’s extradition, “which is exactly what we would be doing if he was still incarcerated and had not been allowed to post a bond,” he said.
“So, for our process, it makes no difference,” Woodbury added.
For his part, Candelario alleges that the USMS arrest was based on false and biased information provided by Hatley and Woodbury. He deferred further comment to his attorney, Paul Quade of Reno.
Quade said that he represented Candelario “related to the 2015 allegations of theft in Carson City,” agreeing to a phone interview on that case in the near future.
“I am advising him (Candelario) not to make any further statements regarding that case or the conduct of the prosecutors in Carson City given the circumstances,” he said.
In reponse to further questioning, Quade said that he would not comment on “any steps we may or may not take in the future related to the case in Carson City.”
“I can only tell you that the case is five years old, relates to a failed business venture; the alleged victim has already been reimbursed and the first trial resulted in a hung jury,” Quade said. “The allegations are extremely weak related to any ill intent on behalf of my client and I have not been party to such an unexplainable prosecution in my 25 plus years as a criminal defense attorney.”
On the subject of reimbursing the alleged victim, Woodbury said, “Among other lawsuits, Three Ranges Brewery—the victim in the criminal case—sued Mr. Candelario civilly. They were awarded a judgment of $82,073.13 (plus accruing interest) in May 2016.”
In April of 2017, Candelario paid Three Ranges $45,000 of the judgement, which was the original amount the brewery had paid Candelario “for the canner that was never delivered,” Woodbury said.
Quade went onto say that the fugitive warrant is “primarily related to my retirement from criminal litigation and the transfer of counsel which did not work out for Mr. Candelario.”
” At this point, I decided to return to this unfinished business because I firmly believe Mr. Candelario is getting railroaded in Carson City,” he said. “We will be aggressively defending this matter, hopefully to a successful conclusion at the next trial.”
