Her entire thing is that she's really rich and throws gold around for expensive products while she spouts how she's the daughter of the Duke so she should be given what she wants when she wants it. Not the worst thing though I guess since villainess is in the title but wouldn't that also imply that what Reilynn is doing is shitty when she buys a child-like ML as a slave, hell besides being a bitch and flaunting her wealth, what does she even do that's actually villainous? Pretty much everything she does is treated as more girl-boss behavior

They also pretty much checked out every uncomfortable manhwa trope into the ML Javi, a shape shifter who mostly looks like a 12 year old boy, was bought by Reilynn essentially as a slave with extra steps (not even extra steps, she just treats him like a cute pet or little brother) and Javi also acts like a clingy child who won't leave his big sister alone. I kid you not, I have seen people pull out the whole "she may look 8 but she's actually 300 years old!" Excuss To justify this pedophilic-slave/master relationship

Wanna know what's even worse? Reilynn had 3 other men who were into her she could choose from, so good job making her look even more like a pedo author!

My Glow Up Game

Lately I haven't been feeling really inspired about my journey to becoming her so I decided to revisit and rework it. I chose several different areas that I want to work on and I only listed goals that I could achieve now or within the next month (or 2 at the most).

The areas I will be focusing on:

Skin Care - my target area will be my ENTIRE BODY 😂 but mainly focusing on hyperpigmentation, fine lines under the eyes (thank you ordinary eye serum 😒), textured skin and smaller pores. My goals will include buying products from Ulta/Sephora, doing my skincare routine 2x a day and implementing a few DIY treatments like a turmeric mask.

Grooming - major focus will be on hair removal and nails. for hair removal i will be switching to waxing and sugaring. the goal is to start visiting a sugaring salon for certain areas of my body that's more difficult for me to wax (like underarms). for everything else, i will be doing waxing at home.

for nails, i was doing polygel but i'm over it lol. i'm tempted to start going to the salon for this as well but all the salons i've found in my city are those cookie cutter type salons (ya'll know what i'm talking about) that charge $100+ for thick nails (that's apparently still trending here) and the quality of the work - i can almost match it so i don't find it worth the price. instead i'm going to go all in with gel-x (i've played around with it and brought a few things on amazon to try it out) but i'm gonna level up and get some items from NKK and Erica's ATA drill bits.

Natural Hair/Extensions - focusing on growing out my natural hair (and making it healthier) to prepare it for either micro weft or i-link extensions. the goal here is simple: buy products and create a hair care routine.

Wardrobe - i'm splitting my wardrobe goals into several parts because i have to build an entire wardrobe. but i'm going to start with sleepwear, lingerie and loungewear, plus a few casual summertime pieces.

Bedroom Decor - if you've read my recent posts, you already know that i'm not happy with the state of my bedroom but i've decided not to do too much to it because it's not worth the investment. i do plan on buying a few bedding sets and a few inexpensive furniture pieces (like a nightstand). i also will start buying (or being gifted) flowers to place in my bedroom as well.

Beauty - purchasing basic makeup and essentials along with mini perfumes until i discover my staple fragrances.

Healthy Food - starting off simple with buying juices (especially green juices), fruits and veggies, eating salads, and healthy frozen meals.

Exercise - focusing on lower body workouts, improving flexibility, continuing pilates, buying cute workout fits.

for all his talk of honor, i find angeal’s participation the wutai war super hypocritical. did he buy into the idea that wutai was a savage nation that shinra was obligated to modernize by force, or did he have doubts about the war but just go along with it anyway out of duty to his men?

We're not really given much insight on Angeal's reactions to the war itself. Shinra likely was spinning a very strong propaganda campaign by the time he enlisted. And since Angeal had already joined up and was so closely tied to Genesis and later Sephiroth, he likely went along with Shinra's lies, if only to stay close to his friends and to uphold some level of status for his family. We don't know the full extent of what he was like on the battlefield. For all we know, he could have been a more "honorable" fighter than the others, or at least tried to be. Brainwashing was probably a big thing within the ranks so Angeal was probably eased into justifications that seemed logical in his head, being a young teenager and mostly just here to be with Genesis.

It was also extremely likely he and Genesis were both groomed into eventually joining Shinra from an early age, especially considering they were both products of Project G. They might have had gentler childhoods than someone like Seph, but that doesn't take away from the fact that they were probably very much always destined to integrate with Shinra's conquest regardless of their personal beliefs.

What I'm saying is that Angeal's dreams and honor code was likely his subconscious coping mechanism to a role he was manipulated into taking. And when it finally all comes crashing down on him, he breaks.

The expectations placed on women are so frustrating and men don't really experience anything close. Like not saying that they don't have stupid beauty/body standards placed on them (by the patriarchy), but like for the most part they get to just exist as they are. They aren't largely shamed by society or told they're undateable for things like body hair, not wearing makeup, looking old or having smile lines, not having a big ass/boobs, etc etc. It's exhausting not being able to just exist in my natural state without being shamed

Love In Beauty Chapter One: Piercing Eyes

Steve was working hard, fingers stained with blue highlighter as he highlighted important information in his Esthetics textbook. Steve was on his third month of Esthetician school with only five more months to go. He felt weird being the only male Esthetician in a class of women but he managed to make a small group of friends he calls his 'Estie-Besties' the other girls saw him as weird and even some spread rumors on him being a creep. He wasn't, Steve had a dream and he wanted to follow it, even if his father thought it was 'stupid' and 'a waste of money'. Steve didn't care, he knows what he wants to be and his passion only made him shine brighter in his class.

"I feel like they don't schedule me client's on purpose." Steve sighs, rolling ice globes over Robin's cheeks.

"Mmmmm less talking more globing." Robin sighs softly.

It's silly little imagine hours.

I realized a bit ago that with a modern reader like Player, they're probably (at least at first) more well put together and groomed than even some royalty in Hyrule. Like, they didn't exactly have a lot by way of deodorant or skincare and such in basically medieval times so the player probably smells better and looks better than a lot of people.

i just dont buy the „no alternatives“ argument. there are alternatives but impoverished women are systematically pushed into prostitution by their families and partners, by social workers and feminists telling them its a choice without questioning why men dont choose it, by employers who know this is a last resort for women and choose to employ men instead, and there is no pushback because the men as a class also profit from prostitution, as sex buyers and competitors on the regular job market.

bathing/showering - it barely counts as a headcanon bc it's just a normal relationship moment, but the casual intimacy of showering at his place for the first time just kills me. unplanned, so she doesn't have anything with her, but she's SO sweaty (for reasons) and can't go to work in the morning like this. using his soap. and then as she stays over more and more, slowly populating his bathroom with her stuff.

products could go either way -- maybe he only buys manly man soaps for men, and she brings in the girly crap, but I could also see subverting that gender paradigm. she's practical, not the type to think much about grooming beyond the necessary (unpainted nails and unstyled hair in her one portrait support this) vs him as a bit of a dandy. his shiny 50s almost-pompadour stands out a bit compared to 1950s Business Standard. I bet he's the one with nicer shampoo.

but ofc they're both ride-or-die for aperture products, so when aperture-brand soap is ready to hit the shelves, they switch to that. until the rashes get too bad (within a week). luckily they're able to repurpose the stuff as paint stripper.

Hello readers and welcome to the FOR MEN blog!  I am Krista, the men's grooming expert and the blog author.  You can expect to read everything related to men's grooming services, education, and tips.  Topics will include men's hair care, men's hair product reviews, and application techniques.  I will also discuss men's body waxing processes, aftercare, and men's skincare and shaving tips.  I won't forget men's nail care too.

My Humble Beginnings

I first started my company blog in 2005, where I planned to write about anything from men’s grooming products and services to our company parties. When social media started, I jumped on every platform possible to promote my men's hair salon. I created a company page on Facebook business pages in 2007. In the beginning, I just wanted to have visibility wherever I could so clients could find the salon. My instincts told me that the more websites the business was on, the more my business would be found. At that time, very (and I mean very) few hair salons were using the web as a tool to grow, which meant there was no competition. That did not last long.  As more businesses in my industry got online, I had to learn to be strategic. This is when I learned I needed a unique voice and needed to post content related to my professional expertise. I want to be the person men come to when they have grooming questions.

What The m Blog Promises to Deliver

I started forming online connections that fit my goal on and offline.  At first, I accepted every incoming friend request, but over time, I realized that just having connections did not meet my overall objective. I set out to make connections that inspired me as much as I was hoping to educate others. According to Dr. Gilpin, social capital is the “collective value of all social networks and the norms of reciprocity and trustworthiness that arise from them.” It is one of the reasons I will never venture into buying followers, as seen in this MIC.com article. In the MIC article, a want-to-be influencer paid another social media influencer $20 to boost his follower count so that he, too could be considered a mega influencer. Buying followers was an option for me when I started out, but it just did not feel right.  As Dr. Giplin pointed out, social capital is built through authenticity and trustworthiness by focusing on the relationship. I built my following organically and vow to maintain an authentic voice in this blog.

My goal is to post fresh content designed to solve a problem and inform or motivate our men in their grooming endeavors.
