“𝐺𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑃𝑢𝑚 𝑃𝑢𝑚 𝑁𝑒𝑒𝑑𝑠 𝐺𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑆ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑡𝑒𝑟“~𝓁ℯ𝓁ℯ ✧˚ · . ✧˚ · . ✧˚ · .
pt5…
He maneuvered you through the walk way and turned on the lights, as ‘All Mine ‘ began to play through the small JBL speaker resting on his bed along with a basket full of his hoodies, candy, skin care things, and flowers. He then brought out a huge target bag and gave it to you, smiling showing his pearly whites. Grills still in, mustache only a bit longer than usual made him look extra fine. “AWWWWW CON CONNN HOW SWEET OF YOU!” you practically screamed nearly dropping the bag, hugging him. Lifting you up laughing, you wrapped your legs around his waist as he placed you on the bed. “Boy fuck no I’m not laying in your bed in my outside clothes” “You’re ridiculous y/n” he sighed watching you strip, sliding off your biker shorts and folding them, and stuffing them into the portion of your bag made for dirty clothes.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
Sitting criss cross apple sauce while he leaned on his dresser, licking his lips at the imprint of your pussy through your underwear. Such a pervert. A long purple heavy item was pulled out of the bag, you seen a plush white fabric on the other side, and to your surprise, it was the weighted blanket that you had been eyeing in target but was sold out when you went to buy it. “Thank you so much boo!! I literally love your whole soulll” you said wrapping the blanket around yourself. You went through the whole basket, saying thank you every time you found something new, showering him with words of affirmation and compliments. “I’m gonna go use this in the shower” you said taking the face masks and shower gel your almost-boyfriend got you. He couldn’t help but spoil you.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
It was his love language and he did it because he loved you. He was in love with you, and he wasn’t afraid to admit it, but he was afraid that he would fuck up the one thing that he cherished in his life. So Sasha helped him write a letter and made it look all Shakespeare-ish. Dipping it in coffee, leaving it to dry, tearing and burning it a little, he was so pleased with how it looked but didn’t want to see your reaction to it in fear of rejection. You left the steam filled shower all clean and lathered up in some nice Aveeno lotion ,hair neatly tied in a head-tie alone after removing your bonnet. “Ima shower too” He said quickly grabbing a towel and leaving the note on the bed. “what’s thi-“ the door shut before you could answer. “rude ass” the note was flipped over, a curious smile grew on your face, intrigued by the old style love letter. You read it, all of it, it was so heart warming that you couldn’t help the tears that fell onto your face.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
You didn’t know that he felt that way about you, it felt so good to be loved, and needed and cared for. His shower abruptly stopped as you knocked on the door. Hurrying to dry off, he opened the the door, met with a hug. “Connie I’m in love with you too, and I wouldn’t know what to do with myself without you”
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ ‘Let Me Break Your Heart Again’ by Laufy played on the speakers now.. great timing.
Relief hit Connie as tears brimmed his eyes, he was a thug but thugs cry too.. that was the most gangster thing Connie could have ever done in his life, and it was being vulnerable, vulnerable enough to admit how restless he was every night you were upset at him, every night that you didn’t warm the side of his bed the way you did during sleep overs.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
The depths of despair dragged Connie into it’s grasp and forced him to stay there until he figured out why he felt so depressed without you. But it so happened to be the reason in itself.. he was without you.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
A passionate kiss filled both of your lips. You wiped his tears away and wiped your own, wet eyelashes looked up at him as you pulled away from him. You both smiled in relief as you smooched his lips. “Baby you got abs? Yea you gettin some tonight” you said before ripping the towel off his abdomen, revealing his pretty pink dick.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
It was perfect, and you didn’t know how you were going to take it all in but it didn’t matter because that bitch had no choice but to fit. He lifted you while squeezing your ass, sliding the basket on to the floor, laying you back on the bed. He reached over to his bedside table and picked up the purple condoms you bought for him as a joke that he had saved just for a moment like this and slipped it on himself.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
He deepened the kiss again, untying your robe and throwing it on the floor along side the rest of the organized chaos. “Connie I need you so bad right now” you said, rubbing the small melanated bunch of nerves in between your legs. “Let me do that for you mama” he said, sliding his fingers inside you, “ah” you sighed. You missed the feeling of him pumping inside you like this, walls clenching around his fingers , you smiled as he let them enter your mouth,licking up your own juices made you almost cum right there. His hood lined up perfectly with your entrance, like his cock was made to fit your pretty cunt. He thrusted deeply “Ouue fuck connnn” you moaned, wrapping both legs and arms around him, lapping at his neck like it was candy, everything about him tasted sweet, He thrusted into your pussy slowly at first so you could adjust to his length, then his strokes got rough and aggressive.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
He hit your cervix with every stroke which made you go feral. Lewd slaps and squelches filled the the nearly silent room. “Fuckk this pussy Connieee”, no longer feeling his throbbing dick inside of you, you whined at the emptiness “turn around for me lovey” he whispered in your ear while you turned yourself over, he placed a pillow under your stomach and grabbed a hold of your hips, inserting his cock right where it belonged, he started back his rough pace, slapping your ass as you grabbed the sheets “fuck back” his voice stern, “fuckkk yes baby im-“ He moaned out, grunts occasionally leaving his mouth, flowing into your ears, filling the room, his words seeped through your skin, his touch was intoxicating, you were addicted to his hands and the way your body molded into him perfectly, thinking about his cock digging into the back of your pretty pussy was enough to send you over the edge.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
An orgasm blossomed inside of you, leaving thick trails of your cum on connie’s shaft, “Im cumminggggg” you whispered halfway through pleasure, his thrusts became sloppy and more like jabs, his hips staggered as you felt his them lock in place, his dick twitched inside of you “fuckk baby this pussy so tight” you felt the release of sperm into the condom inside of you, “And who’s is it baby?” he asked grabbing your neck gently kissing your cheek waiting for an answer “ all yours papa” you replied as he smirked at the rightful answer, his lips touched yours, causing you both to fall into a deep kiss that felt like it lasted forever. He left pecks all over your neck and cheeks, feeling that familiar shyness from months ago, you giggled and hid your face into his neck, covering your exposed breasts that were filled with hickeys. “Girl what you tryna hide? Like you didn’t just tell me that this pussy was mine while i was digging you out” he laughed mocking you “Nigga ill never fuck you again stop” you cheesed hiding your eyes while Connie snuck a kiss on your clit before disposing the condom, wiping himself off, then you.
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷
Now mostly clothed with connie’s shirt and your pajama shorts, and connie in some sweat pants, you both laid in bed cuddled up, lights off, mess on the floor left for tomorrow. ”That dick was excellent” you said dapping him up “I’m glad you liked it girl” he said kissing you. “Damn you love these lips” - “Which ones?” you playfully shoved him and giggled “You’re officially my boyfriend Connie” you said “But keep this between us, nobody knows what we do but they know that you’re mine.. i like my privacy.. keep these hoes wondering” he nodded and smiled at your remark, cuddling up closer to you, while you shifted some of your attention to the TV which was playing ‘The Craft’, and then back to him. He turned your head to face him fully, looking into those big brown eyes that got him here, he finally answered ,“Yea baby i like the sound of that”….
+*:ꔫ:*﹤ ﹥*:ꔫ:*+゚

Blind Faith
Chapter 2: Fate
Pairing: Matt Murdock x Reader
Chapter Summary: Fate brings you and the Devil of Hell's Kitchen together again.
Warnings for this chapter: attempted attack, cursing, mentions of alcohol.
Chapter 1 here
New York City
11:00 PM
You haven’t told anyone about your savior.
It’s nearly midnight, and you and your friends are getting ready to go out. There were plenty of distractions around you—things you had grown used to over the past four years living here. The JBL speaker that played Hannah’s pre-game playlist, the sounds of phones clicking when a selfie was taken, and shot glasses slamming on the marble countertop—the familiar position of leaning over the bathroom sink to draw on your eyeliner. Emily asking you to help her tie her halter top at her neck.
And yet, despite all these distractions—despite all the conversations you’ve had and the time that’s passed since last week—you couldn’t stop thinking about him: your savior.
When you stumbled into your apartment last week after getting attacked (and then saved), no one noticed your entrance because they were sound asleep. When you looked at your appearance in the mirror, you didn’t look like you had been attacked. Sure, your hair was messy, and your knees a bit scraped, but otherwise you looked fine. Seeing Emily asleep on the couch, you half thought about telling her about what happened in the morning. The other side of you won—you’d keep your interaction with your savior a secret.
Why? You weren’t sure. So much of your life was shared with people, so much of it you had to share. You wanted to keep your moment with your savior to yourself. It was precious, and it didn’t need to be shared. No one needed to know.
“Hello? Earth to __?” Bella cooed your name, waving a shot of tequila in your face. You traded the lipstick you were holding for the shot. Following Bella out of the bathroom and into your living room, you meet Hannah and Emily who held shots of their own.
“To the official end of the semester, and thus the end of our undergrad years,” Bella raised her shot in the area. The rest of you did the same, and you added one more line.
“And to the beginning of what lies ahead,” you smiled at your friends. You didn’t want to get sentimental, but it was hard not to. At least, your lease in this apartment didn’t end until December, so the four of you still had time to make more memories living together.
After that, you all took your shots and made matching grimacing faces once the alcohol burned down your throat. It didn’t stop you all from pouring another round.
Your savior still lingered in the back of your mind, and you wondered if you’d get to see him again.
~~~
Midnight
Another night, another bar.
This time, you definitely drank more than your capacity. Simply put… it was one of those nights. Did you regret it? Not right now. Would you? Maybe. You were having too much fun to care. And… Hannah was handing you another shot.
“When’s the last time we had any water?” You shouted over the music at her.
She shrugged and flipped her blonde hair behind her shoulders.
“You said another shot?!” She laughed and took your hand to lead you through the crowd of people to the bar. Reaching the bar, you leaned over the wooden countertop and got the bartender’s attention. It was a young woman, with dark hair wearing hoop earrings.
“Two shots of Tito’s,” you ordered, “please.”
“Let me buy this round,” a voice shouted in your ear unpleasantly. Startled, you jumped next to Hannah a bit and the two of you looked at where the voice came from. It was a guy, around your age, maybe older, who bore an NYU collared shirt. He didn’t look familiar, you thought. You hated unsolicited offers, especially from men at the bar.
“No thanks,” you curtly replied, facing the other way. The bartender gave you a knowing look and took your card from your hand—you wouldn’t be so forgetful of it, this time.
As if offended, the guy, who you now saw had sandy blonde hair, frowned. He was clearly confused by your rejection.
You and Hannah ignored him while you took your shots.
“Hello?” He called for your attention again.
“I said we don’t need your money,” you snapped at him. “Go bother someone else.”
Perplexed, the guy rolled his eyes, muttered something under his breath, and left the bar. You shook your head and grabbed Hannah’s hand.
“Why do men think it’s such a grand gesture to offer to buy us six-dollar shots?!” You said in exasperation.
“The audacity,” Hannah replied.
Moving back to the dance floor, you and Hannah found Emily and Bella who were next to a group of guys—familiar faces, probably a “situationship” they had going on. You eyed the guys suspiciously. It was hard not to, given the history of your friends’ choice of men. For the sake of having a good time, though, you decided to play nice. You told yourself you’d only get mean if any of the guys started acting like assholes.
“We might bounce to another bar,” Emily told you, “are you cool with that?”
“That’s good with me. Let me step outside for fresh air and then I’ll meet you when you finish your drinks here,” You replied. If you were going to start all over again at another bar, might as well prepare yourself by getting as much fresh air as possible, before you’d be stuck in yet another stuffy club.
You pushed past the crowds, and it was then you realized that you seriously needed water. You walked zig-zagged, but your mind was sharp enough to know where you were going. You dodged some more people outside and walked around the building of the bar to the alleyway. There were enough people around the front you weren't concerned for your safety, truthfully this time.
You pulled out your phone and began scrolling through the notifications you got once you had service again. Curiously, you opened your job searching app to see if any of the law firms you had applied to reviewed your application.
Hogarth, Chao and Benowitz: 1 view.
Landman and Zack: 2 views.
Landau, Luckman and Lake: 1 view.
Ferrari and Hindel Associates: 1 view.
Nelson & Murdock: 1 view, 1 new message.
You were too drunk to open the message from the last firm you applied to. You bookmarked the page and would read it in the morning when you were sober.
“I don’t want to talk about this anymore,” you heard a girl’s voice come from your left. It appeared you weren’t alone in the alley after all. She looked to be about your age, maybe younger. The bar you and your friends were at was known to let underage college kids in, so you wouldn’t be surprised. “I’m tired and I want to go home with Stephanie.” Her back was on the brick wall and there was a guy in front of her, about your age, for sure.
“You’re not goin’ home with Stephanie,” he demanded, “you’re comin’ home with me.” He slurred his words as well, and you knew the girl was drunk by the way she was squirming against the wall. Her voice cracked when she spoke like she was about to cry. “And you’re gonna tell me what that guy said to you.”
“I told you!” She begged, “I dropped my wallet and he picked it up for me, that’s it!”
“I saw you handed him something,” he argued. “What the fuck did you give him?”
“Nothing!” The girl cried. She tried to walk away from him, but he aggressively grabbed both her shoulders and squeezed her arms. The girl yelped in response, and you couldn’t be a bystander anymore.
“Hey!” You started walking toward them, feeling your heart rate rise. “Don’t touch her! Leave her alone,” you said in a steady voice. Your ears were ringing. As you got closer, you realized the guy towered over the girl but barely towered over you. His eyes were like daggers as he looked at you like you’d just triggered something in him.
“Fuck off,” he sneered, still holding the girl in his arms.
“I said leave her alone,” you argued. Ignoring you, he stared at the young girl in front of him and gripped her shoulders so hard, you could see her arms begin to turn red at the contact. Unsure of what to do, you did what first popped into your mind in your drunken state. You shoved the guy off her with all your might, feeling your core tighten.
“You fuckin’ bitch,” the guy growled as he charged for you. Bracing for impact, you held your arms over your head in a criss-cross position and waited for whatever was to come. Instead of feeling his body weight lunge at you, you instead were met with…nothing but the cool air gracing your skin. When you opened your eyes, you gasped when you saw your savior had stopped the guy from attacking you.
You couldn’t waste time watching as the man in the mask almost beat him to a pulp. You looked at the girl who stood shocked and quickly grabbed her hand, leading her away toward the end of the alley near the bar. She was crying, and she held onto you tightly.
“Thank you,” she managed to say among her tears. You squeezed her hand in response—maybe her friend Stephanie was out here looking for her. A curly-haired red-headed girl put her phone down from her ear and raised her hand as she saw you leading her friend to her.
“Stephanie!” The girl called out.
“Oh my god, Christina,” Stephanie cried, hugging her friend. Stephanie gave you a grateful look as they hugged. You smiled, patting Christina on the back. Nothing like nearly getting attacked again and saving a girl from her asshole boyfriend to sober you up fast. Remembering that your savior was in the alleyway, you rushed back around the corner in hopes of catching him.
And there he was, under a dimly lit lamp, chest heaving over the guy who now lay crunched and knocked out. You walked carefully and slowly, your savior’s back to you. He turned his head so you could see the profile of his covered face. His hands were in fists, but when he realized you were there, he let his fists go.
“Fate brings us together again,” you decide to speak first.
“Or you just keep getting yourself into trouble,” he replied.
“That…” you feel yourself slur your words again, “that wasn’t me. I was just trying to help her.”
“Maybe not attack a 180-pound man without a weapon,” he argued. Your savior wasn’t being so kind to you. Or maybe you weren’t used to being called out.
“I would’ve figured something out… had you not been there,” you tried your hardest to sound sober but it wasn’t working.
He was fully turned around now. He looked like nothing but a black shadow in the dark. Only his lips were visible, and he wasn’t smiling at your lighthearted tone of voice.
“Had I not been here, he could’ve hurt you. And the girl, for that matter.”
“And yet you were here, somehow, which brings me back to saying it was fate.”
You stepped closer to him, the closest you’ve ever stood. You felt something hot in your chest.
His silence was driving you crazy.
“I saw a girl getting harassed by her toxic boyfriend and I thought telling him to fuck-off would’ve scared him. I couldn’t—I couldn’t stand by and hear something like that. So if he were to attack me, weaponless, at least he wouldn’t have achieved his first goal of hurting that poor girl,” you explained the best you could, starting to feel like the ground you stood on was spinning. The man in the mask—your savior—his mouth twitched to say something, then he shook his head.
“You shouldn’t put yourself in danger like that,” he told you.
“So I shouldn’t have stepped in? Okay,” you scoffed, “then why do you step in? Do we not have the same mindset about this? If I’m a bystander who can’t ignore something, and it’s wrong that I step in, what does that make you?”
“Someone who knows how to fight when they do step in. You are intoxicated,” he plainly stated. You shook your head, annoyed.
“I would’ve done the same thing sober,” you truthfully argued, “I—I can’t stand men who take advantage of girls. I would’ve risked it, sober or not, if it meant that girl didn’t have to carry home trauma!”
“And then, what would’ve happened to you, if I wasn’t here?”
“I guess we’ll never know,” you answered. He pressed his lips together exasperated.
“I told you to take care of yourself. To be safe,” he said lowly.
“I have,” you whispered. “Really. And… I guess I should say thank you again. For tonight. I know it was dangerous, but if you come from the same place of not being able to stand by, then you of all should understand.”
He was silent for a moment. Then, he spoke, a bit louder this time.
“You need to learn how to defend yourself.”
“I’ll make time, now that it’s summer,” you mentioned. Then, maybe it was a surge of confidence or the alcohol, you asked him. “Teach me?”
The corner of his mouth perked in a smile.
“You know where I live,” you continued, “West 45th and 11th. The roof.”
“You sure you won’t be out with your friends?” He asked lightly.
You didn’t like how excited you got at his inquisition. You played it off.
“I can spare a night, for you,” you answered. “For not putting myself in danger, anymore. Saturday.”
His demeanor changed—it wasn’t defensive anymore, nor argumentative. His shoulders relaxed, and he took a heavy sigh.
“Your friends are wondering where you are,” he suddenly said. You furrowed your brows. Before you could question him, you felt your phone buzz with a text from Bella asking where you were.
“They’re outside. Go meet them before they get suspicious,” your savior suggested, starting to walk away. You felt the fire in your chest you felt earlier start to diminish, the farther he backed away.
“Saturday?” You wanted to confirm with him.
“At 10,” was his response.
Before you could say anything else, your savior blended in with the blackness of the alley.
You took one last look before you sealed your fate.
Speakers Again!
There is a remarkable group of speakers on Craigslist today in our city. In the $1200 dollar range there are some big Technics, JBLs, a Maggie, and an Infinity RS 2.5.
One ad especially caught my attention. It was a pair of Allison Ones.
Not this pair, I was looking for a good Picture.
You never see these out there. From the 1970s era with a "Boston" sound. These guys are three way with six drivers each channel. They could be called quasi-omidirectional. In the wars over speaker theory Omni direction always comes up. The trick here is they must be placed hard against a wall so the wall becomes like an acoustic mirror creating a virtual omni pair for each channel.
Back in my youth these were respected. The designer Roy Allison was out of AR (Acoustic Research) and had a hand in the famous AR-3. Oh, and yes I wanted a pair. Much easier to live with compared to maggies and more conventional high end speakers.
I liked the concept as it was pretty simple. The angle of the two faces is 90 degrees as I recall. You get symmetry on two planes when against the wall. Wall placement has several advantages. It helps in the low Bass by bumping it by around 6 db (wall and floor) It limits multipath reflections a bit. The room fills with sound and there is a significant area of radiator surface with two of everything per side.
All the drivers are flat on the faces so from a central listening position you are 40 to 45 degrees off axis to them which should mess up the highs a bit but they were reputed to have excellent imaging so there is that.
These were one of my influences for design. My invisible speakers are also set hard against the wall. It pleases the wife to not have big ugly boxes in the middle of the room. If I was not a DIY type I would probably buy these.
Hmmm maybe I should build some......
agree i don't think lando did buy that shirt or the jbl speaker or anything else he has that is merch from martin. martin's generous, he gives things to people he cares about. i think lando will also have gifted a quadrant hoodie or something at least. martin nearly always wears his own merch or replay when he is in public tho so we'll probs never see him in it.
Whether the shirt was a gift or Lando's Magpie tendencies at work, we will never know
#i don't doubt we'll never see the reverse in public because of brand/ image/ discretion/ etc.#in private though... lowkey days in the studio where no cameras are present... yeah#lando#martin#norrix#ask
The Culture of Consumerism
Needs In my room there is a collection of things that I own that can be categorized into wants or needs. In my room I have things like my mini fridge, microwave, and groceries. The mini fridge allows me to have cold foods and the microwave allows for me to heat up and make quick warm meals. My groceries is also a necessity because having food in my room is good other than the cafeteria food. Brita water bottle to always have half a gallon of purified water with me around campus and in class. My alarm clock comes with a bed shaker because I am a very deep sleeper and I do not wake up to just noise from the iPhone. My book bag allows me to carry anything I need throughout the school day. My ceraVe facial wash, old spice body wash, vaseline lotion, old spice deodorant, polo cologne, shampoo, hair oil, hair brush, tooth brush, razor and tooth paste are all needs in the sense of having personal hygiene products, being clean is a necessity for me. As far as clothing my 50 shirts is enough to cover me for multiple days and weeks, through multiple seasons although I consider the amount a want, because realistically I probably only need about 7-10 shirts (one per day in a week). The same goes for my shoes (7) and my pants (20). As far as my electronics go (MacBook, Television and iPhone), My MacBook is only a want because I could've went with a cheaper laptop for school even though this is the core of all my work as well as entertainment. The same with my phone it contains all my contacts, work, entertainment, etc. but I could've gone with a much cheaper option, making it a want rather than a need.
Wants As far as my wants go many of these things weren't purchased off of an ad or through social media. A lot of it was through just seeing it in the store or through common consumer culture like my mirror, blender, carpet, JBL speaker, Television, multiple pairs of shoes, etc. These are just a few of many things many people commonly own but are not necessities. Many of my origin of desires are blank either because of it being a gift or because there was no real origin of desire, meaning I saw it in the store and figured it'll be a good purchase. What I Learned I learned that a lot of the things in my possession currently are actually needs and not wants (majority of my things are needs). This is good information for me I would rather it be that way so that everything I buy has a purpose and that its being used for that purpose.
Essential Audio Equipment for Music Producers
To create professional-sounding tracks, you need the right tools in your studio. Here are the essentials:
Audio Interfaces
An audio interface is the hub of your music production setup, allowing you to connect instruments, microphones, and speakers to your computer. High-quality interfaces ensure clear sound with low latency.
Focusrite Scarlett 2i2: Great for beginners due to its affordability and ease of use.
Universal Audio Apollo Twin: A favorite among professionals for its superior sound and onboard effects processing.
Studio Monitors
Unlike regular speakers, studio monitors provide a flat frequency response, letting you hear every detail of your mix without colorization. The right pair of studio monitors will make mixing and mastering far more accurate.
Yamaha HS8: Known for their clarity and precision.
KRK Rokit 5: A more budget-friendly option with strong bass response.
Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs)
A DAW is the software where all your production magic happens. From recording to mixing, it's the digital canvas for your music.
Logic Pro X: Ideal for Mac users and professionals.
Ableton Live: Popular for electronic music production.
FL Studio: Great for beginners and beatmakers.
MIDI Controllers
MIDI controllers help you compose and control your DAW with ease, from playing virtual instruments to automating effects.
Akai MPK Mini: Compact and affordable, perfect for small setups.
Novation Launchkey: Works seamlessly with Ableton Live and is great for live performances.
Headphones
Studio-grade headphones allow you to work on your music in more detail, especially when you're mixing late at night.
Audio-Technica ATH-M50x: A great all-rounder with balanced sound.
Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro: Known for their comfort and detailed audio reproduction.
Premium Audio Gear for Advanced Producers
If you're serious about taking your production quality to the next level, these advanced tools are worth the investment.
High-End Microphones
A premium microphone can make a noticeable difference in vocal and instrument recordings. These mics capture every nuance with pristine clarity.
Neumann U87: A studio staple for professional-grade vocals.
AKG C414: Versatile and ideal for capturing a range of sounds, from vocals to guitars.
Outboard Gear
While digital plugins are convenient, outboard analog gear can add warmth and character to your recordings. Compressors, preamps, and equalizers are common pieces of outboard gear.
Universal Audio 1176: A legendary compressor used by top studios worldwide.
SSL G-Comp: A high-end analog compressor perfect for adding punch to your mixes.
Budget-Friendly Audio Equipment
Not every producer can afford premium gear, but that doesn’t mean you have to compromise on quality. Here’s a look at some affordable options that still deliver impressive results.
Budget Audio Interfaces
If you're starting out, these budget audio interfaces will give you solid sound quality without draining your bank account.
Behringer UMC22: A simple yet reliable interface for beginners.
Presonus AudioBox USB 96: Compact, durable, and cost-effective.
Affordable Studio Monitors
Great studio monitors don’t have to cost a fortune. These options provide accurate sound on a budget.
JBL 305P MkII: A highly-regarded option for under $150 per monitor.
Mackie CR3-X: Small but powerful monitors for home studios.
Room Acoustics and Soundproofing
Having the best equipment won’t mean much if your room’s acoustics aren’t treated properly. Room treatment is essential for achieving a true, balanced sound.
Acoustic Panels
Acoustic panels reduce unwanted reverb and echo, helping you hear your music more clearly.
Auralex Acoustics Studiofoam: Affordable and easy to install.
ATS Acoustic Panels: High-quality and customizable to match your studio aesthetic.
Bass Traps and Diffusers
Bass traps are crucial for controlling low frequencies, while diffusers help scatter sound evenly, reducing harsh reflections.
GIK Acoustics Bass Traps: Efficient at reducing low-frequency buildup.
Primeacoustic Scatter Blocks: Excellent diffusion and sound control for professional studios.
Conclusion
Whether you’re just starting out or looking to upgrade your studio, investing in the right audio equipment is key to producing high-quality music. From premium audio interfaces to budget-friendly monitors, each piece of gear plays an important role in shaping your sound. Don’t forget, beyond just the equipment, having access to top-notch, premium royalty-free music from the best place to buy royalty-free songs will also elevate your projects, ensuring your tracks sound polished and professional for any platform.
