i'm trying to put together a timeline for house de riva in my fic. morgan's initial sympathy for viago was bcos viago killed the previous talon, who morgan really hated. i had this idea that maybe she was the one to buy/kidnap the mage recruits to experiment on creating a mage-assassin, but the dates really not aligning. viago most likely was a talon for less than 10 years, so if morgan is 53, and was taken to the crows around 10, then the previous talon would have to be in power for 30+ years, and that's some caterina dellamorte level of bullshit. i'm thinking maybe she wasn't a talon first, just another high ranking assassin interested in some experiments - i imagine her vibe as something between ghilan'nain and zara. so morgan was just hating her from a distance, watching as she climbs the ladder all the way to the top, but unable to do anything (she prob had some phylacteries created as well) up until viago came and got rid of her like a knight on a white horse (only that the knight being a grumpy paranoid assassin and the white horse being a box full of poisons). morgan prob couldn't do much to help with that, but he could certainly do a lot to not prevent it, like "accidentally" not having a correct antidote at hand.
