What are champs like in bed? Likes dislikes? And I do mean this in a more sfw way. I'm just curious xP. P.s. Inara is bae
I will assume you meant how they sleep or their night routine, because otherwise I have no idea about this.
- Mod Ash
Makoa: Does not really need much sleep, so he often meditates, reads, or talks to people when he is given time to rest. Sometimes he will take long walks when he’s restless, and would take hours to finish it, because he will definitely spend twenty minutes staring at a flower or other things. He sometimes tries writing, but is often unsatisfied with his work, and he just rests or meditates it off.
Fernando: He washes his face, takes care of it, and nitpicks on tiny imperfections until he gets too tired to do anything else. He will make himself a sangria or just have a plain glass of wine to lull himself to sleep, where he keeps warm mood lights around his bed and soft music playing. On work days he forgets the skincare routine, but the lights and music stay.
Ruckus: Will often don’t bother and will sleep in Bolt, still in his suit. He thinks it does not matter much, because there’s not much else to do. If he feels like it, he will change to something more comfortable, but will often drag along Bolt to wherever he’s sleeping. He may dislike him a bit but he won’t leave him to “sleep” somewhere cold.
Barik: Often spends his nights crouched down on the drawing board, with a cup of coffee, trying to plan things or fix any existing schematics. If not, he would be on the floor attempting to make something. When he actually tucks himself in bed, sleep goes as fast as it comes, and most of his energy comes from sources that aren’t sleep. The amount of coffee he drinks is concerning.
Ash: Haphazardly wipes off her makeup, drops her armor somewhere, and often doesn’t bother switching out of her fatigues before dropping herself straight to bed. If she’s not too tired, she will wash her hair, get a clean shirt on, and maybe read something if she’s having difficulty sleeping. Otherwise, she’s passed out the second her head hits the pillow. She’s very hard to wake up since she has a strict routine.
Torvald: Reads a lot before bedtime, often to the point that he forgets to sleep. His bed is soft and he has lots of pillows propped up for a comfortable sitting position, and he usually has either the music or radio playing as he reads things that aren’t research related. Sometimes, he makes himself tea before he tucks himself in, in which he often sleeps lightly for a few hours before waking up.
Inara: Almost doesn’t sleep. Oftentimes she takes long walks and tends to her garden, otherwise her long walks involve her admiring views, if there is any. Sometimes she tries to tire herself by reading poetry to herself (or any wildlife nearby) before she attempts to “sleep.” She rests for a full day and can somehow stay awake for a week after that.
Drogoz: He always has some fraction of his hoard nearby him or tucked close, if he’s not sleeping nearby the entire thing. He often likes admiring his collection of wealth and trinkets, as well as cleaning everything and keeping track of the more valuable stuff. He often talks to himself and reads fairytales to himself before he decides its time to sleep. He never sleeps deep enough to be undisturbed.
Bomb King: Doesn’t sleep. It’s like he needs to. He greatly enjoys the fact that he doesn’t need to rest, and he often goes around at times he’s asked to “rest” to prank people and make them panicky for no reason other than his own entertainment. He usually ends up entertaining himself by burning something apparently important.
Cassie: Sensitive to coffee or any caffeine; once she drinks a sip of coffee or anything caffeinated, she will stay awake until 3AM. Otherwise, she has a strict sleeping schedule, and often sleeps with her valuables close to her. She has a journal she almost religiously writes on before bed, and her window stays open for Ziggs.
Lian: Undressing and retiring for the night almost feels like a ritual, as Lian takes her sweet time changing to more comfortable clothing. Surprisingly sleeps late, and takes her time with taking care of herself and washing herself before going to bed, where she reads reports or work things with tea in hand before deciding randomly that she wants to tuck herself in.
Kinessa: What is sleep? She chugs coffee every day and night and still somehow manages to be tired enough to sleep because coffee just doesn’t work anymore. She’s going to sleep in an ungodly hour in the night because why not. She will often spend time cleaning her rifle or shooting random things from her window before she gets bored and lies down to do things until she passes out.
Sha Lin: Hygiene is very important for him, so he takes a shower, washes his hair, brushes his teeth and gargles before he changes to better clothes. He sleeps light, so he sometimes doesn’t bother trying to lull himself and either just passes out in seconds or spends an hour thinking about things he may have done differently. Any anxiety is gone the instant he wakes up, however.
Viktor: Sleep is rather difficult for him, and sometimes he forgets to sleep, but sometimes he just doesn’t want to. He often reads, throws things around, and sometimes has to physically force himself to lie down. When he does lie down, his head is just filled with thoughts, and just thinks that lying down is better for him than not sleeping altogether. He often ends up dozing off eventually, although lightly.
Tyra: Has several layers of furry blankets on her bed, and could not sleep without at least one or two over her, even on hot days. Often reads a few chapters of a book before she sleeps, or just lie down thinking about things. Sleeping takes her a while, and is a little difficult to wake up. Very cuddly, and has huge long pillows to cuddle against.
Willo: She is still rather young, so she sleeps pretty long, on flower-shaped beds back in her home where she curls in like a bee finding their home in nature. There is not much ritual to it, but some of her fellow faeries think she sleeps either too much or too little and makes efforts to improve her rest. Willo finds them intrusive.
Evie: Often very restless, and has lots of unused energy she has no idea where to use. Her sleep schedule is sporadic and unpredictable, and often decides that she wants to sleep right in the middle of something important. When she does decide to sleep the most she can do is switch to comfier clothes and maybe remove her makeup before she drops down unconscious on soft sheets.
Skye: Switches to extremely soft clothes, bunny slippers and all. She has some entertainment like music, books, or movies close by, and depending on the day she’s going to immerse herself in it while she takes a long, relaxing bath in the tub, with scrubs and oils and all. She does the more relaxing version of this once a week, while on normal days she just sticks to music on the shower before tucking herself in fluffy sheets.
Androxus: He sleeps surprisingly okay, although he dozes off lightly most of the time because he’s become more alert on his surroundings ever since he got cursed. He still attempts to make the whole sleeping experience easier or more normal, like changing to comfier clothes or music or trying to lucid dream, however those attempts have mixed results and he often just settles with what he can do. He doesn’t sleep much but he still needs his short, occasional naps.
Buck: He does not have much to his ways of sleeping, but often he finds himself returning to his old, monk ways and sitting by his bed to just meditate. Often he doesn’t have time to, so he can only do so successfully around once a week; otherwise he would either have a cup of tea or read a book until he dozes off and forgets to put away the cup or the book. He sleeps with the lights on and dozes off rather lightly, as he feels safer.
Maeve: Loves fluffy clean blankets more than anything else in the world. Usually changes to clean clothes before going to bed, if possible, and looks out on the view if there is any before she tucks herself in. She has bought herself a stuffed toy with all the money she has stolen, and it is a bit worn but well-loved. Sleep often comes to her fast.
Zhin: He has a fancy bed he tucks himself in, and his night routine is usually quick – he polishes his sword, maybe throws something around, and maybe takes a walk around the area just to get some fresh air, otherwise it’s straight to bed for him. He always has a weapon of some form nearby and he wouldn’t sleep without a means of protecting himself. There’s always a knife under his pillow at his home.
Lex: Rather restless at night, and would often do other things in favor of sleeping, like chores, coffee, or watching other people do other things. When he tucks himself to bed, he falls asleep rather quickly and has no ritual or routine to it, but he snores when he’s extremely tired and is very vocal when he’s seeing something nasty in his dreams. Sleeps rather light and straight, like how a corpse would lay down on a coffin.
Mal’Damba: Often forgets that he has alotted rest time because he busies himself with so much chores and social interaction that he just plain forgets he needs to sleep. He will tend to what his snakes need, and that would take an hour or so because sometimes he would sing to them, and later on goes to bed without much ritual to himself. He sleeps rather normally and wakes up early most of the time.
Pip: Is often more awake at night, and takes long naps at the morning. At night is when he is more creative, so he’s up most of the night as he works and deals with anything he needs to work on. Because of his different sleep schedule, he only has a short window of time to talk to other people, but he doesn’t mind it. He can still stay rather energetic during daytime when he doesn’t sleep, however.
Grover: It takes him a long while to prepare for his rest, and when he does, he takes root, letting the soil and the wildlife near him fuel him. He slumbers for a week or more when he does, and he lets himself be a part of nature as he lets any rage boil down and dissolve to the soil beneath him. When he uproots himself, he is awake and living for a month, or even a year, if he times it right or if no one disturbs him.
Grohk: Likes playing around with his powers, and oftentimes likes playing around and zapping things. When he tries to rest he feels like he can’t, or he shouldn’t. When he is at home he likes taking advantage of the fact that he’s chieftain and have other orcs help him out with preparing or relaxing, like having them get hot water for his feet. You can’t disturb him when he’s tucked in, please don’t try.
Seris: She sleeps rather quickly, but as she rests her spiritual form leaves and wanders around dimensions, giving her dreams, so her consciousness never really rests. Oddly, this is therapeutic to her, as she is in her better, stronger form observing the world around her. She “sleeps” rather deep and long; her rests can last for 10 hours or more, but its enough to last her a good long while.
Ying: Goes to sleep at either 8PM or 12MN, there’s no in-between. She has a skincare routine she follows to the letter, and she will do it for an hour if she has to. Usually listens to music and tries to play music herself when she’s attempting to sleep, or she does small chores around the room before attempting to go to bed. She falls asleep almost instantly.
Jenos: He almost doesn’t sleep. It’s a bit scary to people who have just met him. He often just stares at the sky at night and it seems calming and resting enough for him. When he does sleep more human-like, he stacks pillows by the headboard and sits himself up before he attempts to doze off, in which he “falls asleep” rather quickly.
Strix: Sleep is rather difficult for him, so he tries to distract himself with things at night, and often ends up not sleeping at all. He would read, watch things, dance and listen to music, and often try weird hobbies for the first time. He has odd sleeping schedules; he only sleeps for two or three hours at a time and takes a lot of naps throughout the day.
Talus: He has a small stuffed toy, which is falling apart and quite literally held together by threads. He sleeps in weird corners of the room and is very restless when he does get a shuteye. He’s been caught several times around the place in odd sleeping positions. Some people think he sleepwalks. No one has really confirmed it.
Terminus: He doesn’t sleep. It’s rather hard to. When he is given time to “rest” he sometimes lies down and tries to, hoping he won’t wake up, but he does and he has stopped trying as it frustrates him. He ends up staring at things and trying to do mundane things he used to do, but the night always ends with him staring at a wall one way or another, more angry at himself than anything else.
Vivian: Her room has several locks, and she makes sure all her curtains are closed and her windows are locked and makes it routine to check around her entire room before she goes to bed. She rarely does anything non-work related, and mostly checks profiles or scoop on people before she tucks herself in. Her bedside lamp is dimmed and warm and is left on when she sleeps, right beside a weapon of some form.
Moji: She often rests with Po-Li, who she takes great care of, making sure they are fed and taken care of before she herself rests, often also with Po-Li. She shares her food with them and talks to them about the day (even if they can’t respond) before she grabs them both a blanket and a soft pillow to rest on, where she’d pet Po-Li until both of them gets rather drowsy. They often sleep quick and wake up at almost the same time.

hi! I'm going into the pre-IB program next year, and I was wondering what you've thought about your IB experience so far and maybe some tips? x
Oh honey, bless your heart. I hope I don’t come off too cynical in saying this - I’m an IB Senior Ambassador at my school now, it’s my job to convince people to join this, but from my veteran experience I am not gonna give you the “it’s all rainbows and butterflies if you do your work on time” shtick. No, you’ll probably still cry almost as much as I did Junior year. And yet yes, yes, I still love my experience and all that I have grown as a person from it.
Let me begin this by saying that IB is a wonderful program that exposes you to new ways of thinking and wonderful cultures, but man does it forget that we’re humans capable of stress and possibly possessing disabilities or mental illnesses. Still, despite everything I went through last year, I’d still do it over again. I’ll highlight the major points like this. Keep in mind that you don’t have to worry just yet about the full workload of IB, but you should still be prepared for this by making good habits NOW.
First of all, pre-IB is vastly different, in my experience, than IB itself. Its classes were fun, interesting, and fast-paced, just like my actual IB classes, but they workload was a thousand times easier and I never struggled through it. So, if that reassures you of what’s going to happen immediately, great!
Each school is different, of course, but in my experience pre-IB did nothing to properly prepare me for exactly how much work and how many requirements I would have to meet in one year of actual IB. We did a research paper or two a year in pre-IB and one or two a week or month in IB, and that’s not even counting the IA’s. Build good habits so you’re prepared for the actual challenge of IB, and so you breeze through pre-IB like it’s nothing.
The IA’s, by the way, are the Internal Assessments. Every class except for TOK has one, because TOK plays by its own rules. For my classes, every IA was a research paper except for Biology (which was a lab report of an experiment I need to do), Spanish (which will come next year as a 10-minute discussion in Spanish), and English (which was a 10-minute creative presentation of literary analysis of one of three books). For the love of all that is holy, when it comes to starting your IA’s in your first year of real IB, do not procrastinate.
Now, I watched a friend of mine with terrible procrastination skills make it through IB alright, but his skills suffered and it should be noted he had one extracurricular, and it was in Drama Club with me. I juggled serious responsibilities of eight different clubs and organizations, but because I didn’t procrastinate and I stayed on top of everything even when I wanted to die, I managed to stick with them all and even be elected president by my National Honor Society. My advice is, in pre-IB, to try as many clubs as you can handle that you want to be in or that benefit you, but know which ones to drop when IB rolls around. You don’t want more than 3 or 4. Make sure you have some, though, because colleges wanna see that.
Create a study and homework schedule. I didn’t do this until second semester but I always had a planner on me, and because stress and work make me forget things easily, I took to the habit of writing them in my planner, my computer, AND my calendar. Sometimes my wrist if it was very important. Be aware that pre-IB will be easier this way, but IB will need you to sometimes work during lunch or use every bit of extra class time a teacher gives you without more work.
Remember to eat and hydrate with water. Try to drink tea for caffeine instead of coffee because it’s a smaller dose and won’t get you dependent on it quickly. These seem like very obvious things but trust me, I totally stopped taking care of myself in IB. I stopped exercising, which I’m still struggling to get back into the habit of, and I often skipped meals to make it to school on time or so I could work on the mounting pile or work I have.
Befriend your teachers. Please, for your own good. IB teachers have seen things. They have put up with a lot. They know how rigorous this is and they know what they’re kept in the dark about. But anything they are allowed to know, they will share with you if they’re worth anything as a teacher. Bond with them because you want the support and resource, not because you just want their favor. Teachers really love to see kids in the IB program that will take the initiative to fix their issues and put extra studying in rather than just whining about the circumstances of IB and their grades. I’ve seen a lot of it, trust me.
Establish a solid bedtime before midnight. I don’t know when your classes start, mine start at 9:15 and I have to be awake by 7:30 or 8. Except for the times that I had to pull all-nighters, I was always in bed by 10:30 or 11, even with all the work I had. Because your body needs sleep, for the love of all that is holy, give it sleep. You will not go very far if you don’t take care of yourself.
Don’t isolate yourself from your family, your friends, or other social things for fun. Boy did I make this mistake. Make sure you’re still alive and show your loved ones that you still care. My parents accepted that I was constantly holed up in my room to do work, but even I had to be taken to the beach or hang out with my friends if I wanted to stay sane. This shouldn’t be as much of an issue in pre-IB, so get as much social time in as you can before you have to start sacrificing it in IB, my dear.
Do not procrastinate on your CAS project in Junior/Senior year. I know you said you’re going into pre-IB so this doesn’t matter yet, but keep ideas in mind for large service projects that you start yourself. It’s part of your graduation requirement and while you can’t start it early, you shouldn’t leave it until the last minute of those two years.
Stay optimistic. I know all of this seems really scary, but IB is just a college-level workload in a high school setting. Unfortunately, that means you have 7+ classes all back-to-back giving you work that is designed to be completed with breaks between classes or days the classes aren’t on, so it’s no wonder that IB students are worked to death. However, the great thing is that IB (at least here) adds an entire point to your GPA because it’s so difficult. So I, through rigorous work and dedication, somehow managed to keep my GPA at a weighted 4.3, so it got rounded up to a maximum 5.0.
Bless you if you decide to get a job. It’s easy in sophomore year, but I don’t know how my friends with jobs survived IB. You’ll be tired all the time, but if you’re passionate, you’ll get through it.
The good thing is that you’re entering pre-IB, which are basically just like honors courses that warm you up for IB. So my TL;DR advice is that you build good study habits and self-care habits now so that IB is extremely easy for you once it rolls around.
So a TL;DR checklist for pre-IB:
Be on time
Be ready to learn
Keep an open mind
Take care of your sweet self in body and mind
Build a good sleep schedule
Build a good study schedule
Program in breaks to your studying because you’re human
Pay attention to and bond with the teachers
Make friends, but not with people that don’t care about IB and are fine with failing
Enjoy it, because it only gets harder
Don’t get overwhelmed with the future - focus on what you’re going into now and the fact that it’s preparation
Do everything on time
Build ways to stop procrastination
Find what subjects you love
Know your limits - don’t push yourself past what you can handle
Utilize any free study time
Be nice to others and be willing to be wrong
Enjoy pre-IB while you can
I’m sorry this turned into a long, semi-cynical tirade about actual IB instead of pre-IB, but the truth is I didn’t have any trouble in pre-IB. I just suggest that you not take as many clubs on as I did and build very good habits while you can.
Thank you so much for asking me this! I love to talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly when it comes to IB, and I hope I didn’t scare you terribly. It’s a wonderful program and I adore it a lot, but it does test how willing you are to make yourself suffer. Luckily, I always do that if I think there’s a greater reward in it, so I’m conditioned to this by now haha. I wanted the challenge!
If you or anyone else ever needs ANYTHING with help in IB, please come to me. I am your Mama Rivkah now and I will be your shoulder to cry on, your help with studying, and your reminder that you are loved.
