i have not watched the back half of last night's episode yet so i can't speak to the tone of it, but people recasting laudna threatening ashton when they and imogen and chet were going off alone last time in bassuras as "laudna not trusting ashton" is WILD. laudna literally told ashton that she chose him bc she knew he was the most sensible of the three and could keep imogen safe. maybe the vibes now are different but like, it was pretty explicitly because she trusted them the first time.
