listen. do not make me come on here and defend andrew dabb in the year of our Lord 2024, year 3 PF (post-finale). have I not been through enough? have I not suffered? do I not deserve rest?
#mine.txt#the dabb era#ohhhhhh the dabb era#my beloved. what we could've been.#s12 was messy due to scheduling issues and the fact they used sam smith as mary (i love her but it was a mistake)#s13 got all twisted because of the wayward sisters backdoor pilot and its elaborate set up that didn't even come to anything (bullshit)#s14 had all the right story beats but in all the wrong order because they needed A Very Special 300th Episode that landed in a stupid spot#s15 was the best season they'd done in a while for about 18.5 episodes and i'm not sure how much of that we can place on dabb#but we'll see what happens when we get jensen and misha's joint tellall memoir when their 10-year NDA runs out#the dabb era still ranks behind kripke and carver for me so i'm not out here like his biggest fan or whatever#but i like what he did on the whole tbh! the boys getting old and all that. stretching their legs and their trauma (iykyk)#spn was never going to be GOOD at that kind of thing but it's all there if you squint and rub at the particularly wrinkly bits
