A friend of a high school friend's mom who works in the building I clean asked if I would be interested in being an accessioner (prepares biological samples for laboratory testing) because one is leaving soon and they're expecting a high traffic soon. I don't know if this would be a good challenge...or if I'd regret it immediately.

#i tried an administrative job once and it was...not my thing #i was good at it #but the mental strain of doing it 40 hours a week?#I could barely do administrative tasks for my personal life #like making appointments or paying bills #it was so bad #idk if this would be different bc it's for an institution #and they're good about training slowly #but they're known to work overtime because biological specimens...can't wait until the next day if they haven't been processed #plus I have my medical issues that make cleaning toilets a good option for me #ya know...considering I spend a good amount of time on them by necessity #and the memory problems are...problematic with customer facing jobs #good record keeping helps #but do I actually remember this person?#...no I do not #I have enough trouble getting to know people outside of work #I don't want all that energy to be consumed by my job #I think I already know I won’t apply #but it's fun to imagine an alternate timeline where I do a job like that
