also important is that millie’s able to wrestle control away from lucifer at first because he’s extremely fucked from Cage 2: Electric Boogaloo and running on the archangel equivalent of that battery pack you left in your wii remote so long that it began corroding. this is probably the sole reason rowena doesn’t die, because lucifer was functioning on feral dog logic and would have torn open anything’s neck if he thought it might put him back in the Cage, and millie was. mostly able to remember who she was and what she was doing and why rowena was important amid the storm of lucifer trying to root inside her.
but he gets better. and later, it’s a lot harder to tell if millie’s grabbing control of the vessel because she’s still a match for him. or because lucifer stands down when she pushes.
#it’s not as smooth as like. s15 midam. to be clear. it never is.#but they figure out sort of a system to it. they can communicate enough to function.#lucifer takes control of the vessel too. it’s not pleasant. it’s a lot more jarring for a human body to go from controlled by a soul ->#angel than it is to go angel -> soul.#like blindingly painful for a good minute. not fun.#but they have a. relatively functional vessel/angel dynamic.#not quite even. but functional.#again the most traumatic part of this whole situation is being separated.#i don’t think millie ever really recovers from that part. her body certainly doesn’t just bounce back from hosting an archangel.#it just hurts more. it’s tired. her body feels like it’s made of scar tissue.#saying yes is still not something she regrets.#spn oc
