while it's easy to say charles is charles-ing across the multiverse.......... brain says that camilla macaulay is NOT a constance blackwood expie. she is his mythical relative-wife who would never marry him and keeps herself safe by not eating sugar, but they are far from the same girl, bless.

#jacksonverse tartt verse charles is the same #camilla is funny because she seems almost like #tartt herself wanted to work out a constance Outside of merricat's romanticized view #i mean.... not so much romanticized but #we know merricat adores constance but does not Know Know her or at least show her to us #thats not to say she's lying or god forbid that constance isnt the same about merricat #but they are mutually romanticizing each other and it's not a crisp sort of description #like let's say charles or julian would give of her #so tartt creates a girl that falls under the same romanticization but is a very different person #who is not truly loved #by the person writing the description
