My Shakespeare plays seen/read total has now officially been overtaken by my total adaptations watched of Cyrano de Bergerac alone

ANYWAY. this is not over#have I seen this play a dozen ways? yes#have I seen it dozens of times? yes#did watching Jacques Weber's rendition of Cyrano for the 1st time last night have me sobbing regardless? also yes#this bitch can do anything!! he already knocked de Guiche out of the park in 1990#& his 1983 Cyrano was superb! torn & breathless & ratty. always w easy swagger. always w his heart on his sleeve.#love love love how they had him always picking at his teeth or cleaning his ears or scratching himself lmfao#is it disdain or is he just always at ease everywhere? yes#& now to find out Weber has also played EDMOND DANTÈS??? be still my beating heart!#so much art so little time... & most of it inaccessible anyway :(#they'll call me Anne Bonny by the time this fixation has passed the way I [REDACTED]
