emerging from a fugue state just in time for wip wednesday
Vokara Che sits down across the desk from him with a pinched expression on her face. “I was under the impression that Master Kenobi called for this appointment, Master Skywalker.”
He did. Or, more precisely, his healing portal account did. Which Anakin accessed and then used to type out a missive in his master’s voice requesting to meet as soon as possible.
“Right, well,” Anakin says, shifting in his seat. “Something came up.”
Che does not look impressed. “Be that as it may,” she says delicately, “I am unable to discuss a patient’s medical history with a third party if the third party is neither present at the time nor has given me direct permission to do so.”
Anakin stares, feeling the first flickerings of real, dangerous fury well up in his gut. “But,” he says carefully. “He’s still sick. He, uh. Told me about it. And then we found a solution. To the problem.”
“The problem,” Che repeats, tilting her head and looking at Anakin as if she’s intent on studying him.
“The hanahaki,” he spits. It’s a disgusting word. It’s one of the worst words he’s ever learned, and he can’t believe she’s making him say it. He can’t believe she’s being so—so cold when he’s telling her that Obi-Wan is still ill, that Obi-Wan is still dying, that Obi-Wan needs to be here to see her and he’s not. “Look,” he adds, leaning forward in his chair, “a few months ago a series of files were uploaded accidentally to my healing portal, but they were notes from one of Obi-Wan’s appointments. They were your notes from Obi-Wan’s visit. I know you know I know.”
Vokara Che looks at him and then looks down at the datapaad in front of her, lips thinned and lekku twitching. “I must apologize then,” she says, swiping through the files in front of her until she finds something that she lingers on. Her fingers dance across the screen of the datapaad, then it goes dark. “For the breach in ethicacy that you and Master Kenobi both experienced because of the Halls of Healing. Thank you for bringing it to my attention, Master Skywalker. All files that were incorrectly uploaded have been deleted from your healing portal.”
Anakin looks at her and bites his cheek hard enough to bleed so that he doesn’t start screaming instead.

Antianakin's Anti-Anakin/Pro-Jedi Fic Rec List
The theme for this rec list is fics that either center on Anakin getting some consequences for his actions or are just generally more critical towards Anakin as a character. Please note that this means these fics will also be critical towards most Anakin ships, most notably Anidala and Obikin.
This list is dedicated to all of the people who have been sending me messages asking for fic recs over the last several months, there's clearly a market for fics that aren't kind towards Anakin.
A lot of these fics take things like the Tusken massacre, Order 66, and Anakin's treatment of Padme, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, and Rex very seriously. Please take that as a warning if any of those things might be triggering, and keep an eye on the tags for all of the fics included here just in case.
Here are the categories!
Anakin/Consequences: Anakin experiences consequences for his actions in some way shape or form, but doesn't die.
Spoiler Alert, He Doesn't Make It: Anakin experiences the specific consequence of dying by the end of the story, usually at the hands of someone he's hurt.
The Jedi Deserve Better: There's a bigger focus on the Jedi recovering, Jedi culture, or the Jedi being philosophically right than there is on anything specifically "anti Anakin" as such, but the story is still critical of Anakin's beliefs and/or behavior.
Helpful terms:
Unfinished: Any fic that is marked as incomplete, or a series where the fic(s) in it are still incomplete and cannot stand alone
Ongoing: Any series marked as incomplete, but the fics in it are marked as complete or can stand alone as they are
There is no specific order to this. I tried to group fics from one specific author together, but other than that, I didn't place anything in any specific position for a reason.
This is not an exhaustive list of good anti-Anakin fics that exist, obviously. If your fic or your favorite fic isn't on this list, please feel free to rec it yourself in the notes, leave a reply or reblog with a link. I'm happy to read more anti-Anakin fic, especially if it's very Pro-Jedi!
One final reminder: NOTHING IN THIS LIST IS ANAKIN FRIENDLY! If that's going to bother you to read, please just skip this entire list, it's not for you.
Anakin/Consequences:
and the tide rises, the tide falls series by @blackkatmagic (unfinished, 119k): When Anakin's actions with the Tuskens on Tatooine become known a few months into the Clone War, Agen Kolar comes in to temporarily take over the 501st while Anakin is sent back to Coruscant to face the Council. I cannot recommend this fic enough. This is the fic that introduced me to Agen Kolar as a real character (as opposed to just one of the random Jedi who immediately die going up against Palpatine in Revenge of the Sith) and now he's one of my favorite Jedi of all time. Agen is such a beautiful character and his relationship to his identity as a Jedi gives me just about every feeling I think I've ever felt in my life and the development of his relationships with Rex, Kix, and Ahsoka as the fic continues is such a well-written slow burn. I'd recommend reading more of blackkat's works just in general, too, because they're pretty much all Pro-Jedi and have a delightful tendency to focus on more niche Jedi and clone characters and rarepair ships if you're interested in that.
Commander Fox's Ultimate Bucket List by @blackkatmagic (27k): Fox is sent back in time, immediately murders Palpatine, and surprisingly nothing but good things follow so he's got plenty of time now to get to the other things on his bucket list, including but not limited to: murdering Count Dooku, murdering Anakin Skywalker, saving Senator Amidala from her atrocious taste in men, and seducing Mace Windu. This fic is BLISTERINGLY funny, Fox's very dry point of view on things and readiness to shoot Anakin at literally any moment literally had me struggling to not laugh out loud at work. This is also an INCREDIBLY pro-Mace Windu fic, with all of the clones, for once, in love with Mace Windu instead of the more popular suspects. It's what he deserves, and Fox agrees.
The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Time Travelers by @blackkatmagic (unfinished, 78k): Fives is stuck in a time loop where he tries to stop Order 66 from happening and his latest plan is to kidnap Mace Windu for his own protection because he's the only person capable of defeating Palpatine. Fives' opinion of Anakin is now INCREDIBLY low, and the constant comparisons to Mace and how much better Mace is, are deeply satisfying. Fives' immense distress and somewhat manic passion don't take away from just HOW competent Fives is, and I really love getting to see a depiction of him that really allows him to fully be both at once and neither one takes away from the other. I love how his relationship to Mace develops from Fives' initial desperation into something so trusting and passionate through difficult circumstances.
in search of a sky for smoke to rise to by @blackkatmagic (7k): Padme has to go on the run after reporting Anakin's massacre of the Tuskens to the Jedi in fear of Anakin's rage. She lands on Sundari to try to hide there and meets with Arla Fett who sparks her interest. Padme gets to be a total BAMF in this which is always fun, and I LOVED Arla in this so so much!
sanguine series by @glimmerglanger (157.5k) (EDIT: this AO3 account was deleted several months after I made this list and so the link below is now broken. I am leaving this series in regardless, as a record of the incredible work glimmerglanger did and as a reminder of the consequences of online harassment): Obi-Wan is a vampire in an AU where vampires exist in the GFFA and this changes some things. The ramifications of what it means to be a vampire in this AU and the biases and prejudices that Obi-Wan has to deal with are so interesting from a worldbuilding standpoint. The way Anakin's relationship with Obi-Wan CHANGES because of it is also an interesting thing to see develop in this series.
uncomfortable by @panther-os (1k): When Anakin won't respect Padme's boundaries in the beginning of Attack of the Clones, Padme requests a different bodyguard from the Jedi. Short and sweet and removes the rather unfortunate "yes means no" theme that taints Padme's storyline in Attack of the Clones.
Slices of Happiness series by @feybarn (unfinished, 40k): No Order 66 AU where Obi-Wan takes a short sabbatical after the war to handle his mental health and is joined by some of the clones before he returns to the Temple. It is, as the title of the series says, mostly just little slices of stories as the clones and Jedi heal and reconnect after the war. There's a large emphasis on Obi-Wan healing from Anakin's rejection of the Jedi and having to come to terms with his relationship with Anakin having perhaps been less healthy than he'd realized and learning to enforce healthier boundaries when Anakin gets entitled and selfish.
Wasted Training by @thesecondbatgirl (700): Obi-Wan finds out about Anakin's "training" for Ahsoka from TOTJ. Very short but OH so satisfying to see someone react appropriately to this.
Liberosis by Be_Right_Back (2k): In a No Order 66 AU, Anakin's secret marriage comes to light and the Council asks Anakin to make a choice. This one is a tad softer on the "anti Anakin" aspect of it, but the Jedi are portrayed as entirely within their rights to make Anakin choose which life he wants to live.
Stay by @amukmuk (2k): Commander Thorn has been helping Padme out in a No Order 66 AU as Padme's been dealing with her divorce from Anakin, and Padme finally comes to a decision about her feelings. I am an unrepentant Thornidala shipper, and as many problems as I tend to have with the way Padme's written and the implications about her as a character because of that, I also have a nostalgic attachment to her and wish she could just... have a happier healthier relationship with someone who ACTUALLY loves her and respects her. I would take an entire series of this AU, I'd read a longfic of this AU, but I will also happily accept this short sweet little peek into this AU and let my daydreams do the rest of the work.
The Burden of Secrets by @jedi-order-apologist (9k): In the aftermath of the Deception arc, Ahsoka discovers the truth about the Tusken massacre and confronts Anakin about it. This one is a little lighter on the "anti Anakin" elements, but his choices on Tatooine are very much called out for the horror that they are, as are Padme's for hiding it. The fic also delves a little bit into the Rako Hardeen arc, Obi-Wan's choices in it, and Anakin's reactions to it and how appropriate they are.
Consumed by Greed by virdant (900): Obi-Wan travels back in time to the beginning of Anakin's apprenticeship and tries everything to try to keep Anakin from joining the Sith, and fails until he comes to a crucial understanding about Anakin as a person. The concept of this is absolutely heart-wrenching, thinking about Obi-Wan going back over and over, changing everything about himself and the Jedi in an attempt to save Anakin, only to finally realize that the problem lies in who Anakin is at his heart, and he can't change that. The ending is a gutpunch, but it feels so absolutely true, too.
Justice by virdant (1k): Padme makes a different choice at the end of AOTC and decides to report Anakin's crimes on Tatooine to Obi-Wan instead of marrying Anakin. Obi-Wan confronts Anakin about what he's done in the aftermath and forces him to face the consequences of the choice he made. I really like that the concept here isn't just that Anakin gets kicked out of the Jedi and sort-of set loose upon the galaxy, but that either the Council or Obi-Wan decided Anakin also needed to face reparations ON TATOOINE, from the Tuskens themselves, and that Obi-Wan plans to ensure that it happens. Anakin cannot be a Jedi until he makes as many amends for that as he can, until he recognizes the truth of what he's done and accepts the responsibility for it, and even then there's no guarantee he could be a Jedi afterwards. Either way, the Jedi are not not the only people Anakin has hurt, and not the only people with the right to ask for reparations from Anakin.
The Cost by luvewan (5k): Anakin jumps off the gunship after Padme in Attack of the Clones and deals (badly) with the fatal consequences of that choice when Obi-Wan dies at Dooku's hand before Yoda can show up. So this has been a favorite of mine for just about as long as I can remember, predominantly because of just how tragic it is and the very realistic consequences of the choice Anakin makes here. This fic was written before Revenge of the Sith had come out, so none of the choices Anakin makes in that film are taken into account, but the accuracy with which Anakin absolutely unravels and devolves into darkness because he lets his guilt turn into anger that he turns on other people in the name of justice feels so immensely in character. Seeing it all happen from Padme's point of view as she watches Anakin's descent, knowing she's the reason it happened in the first place, is so devastatingly beautiful.
Spoiler Alert, He Doesn't Make It:
@glimmerglanger's fics are getting an entire section dedicated to them again. I'd honestly just recommend reading all of glimmerglanger's work, but here's some fics that specifically showcase (deadly) consequences to Anakin below (EDIT: this AO3 account was deleted several months after I made this list and so all of the links below are now broken. I am leaving this section in regardless, as a record of the incredible work glimmerglanger did and as a reminder of the consequences of online harassment):
A Treatise on Breaking and Repairs (60k): Anakin captures Obi-Wan shortly after Revenge of the Sith and it goes very badly for Obi-Wan. This shit's dark, y'all, and things get way worse before they get better, please mind the tags, there's a reason the series is labeled the oof!au. That being said, this fic is sort-of the peak example of what I want out of a really good hurt/comfort story, where both halves of that are equally emphasized.
But What We Make series (ongoing, 125.5k): Cody from post-Return of the Jedi travels back in time to just before Order 66 and this changes some things. My favorite part of this series (so far) is the way Obi-Wan, future-Cody, and present-Cody are all forced to come to terms with their respective traumas and relationships to each other and none of them are handling it perfectly, but none of them are treated as more or less important than the others either.
Convergence Zones (115.5k): A sort-of modern day fantasy Jedi AU where the clones are made of clay and brought to life via magic. It's a little hard to explain in like 20 words or less just read it, it's so great. The collaboration between the clones and Jedi in this is so sweet, and the worldbuilding of the "clones" in this verse is really good.
Haunt Me, Then (31k): Post Order 66, all the surviving clones can see their Jedi as Force ghosts except Cody and the 212th, and when Cody's chip breaks early he helps start a revolution to gain justice for their Jedi. Cody's going through it in this one, too, and things get pretty dark, but this is another really great catharsis fic if you're in the mood for that.
Make Your Bed (Lie in It) (58k): Cody and Obi-Wan share a bunk during the war and this changes some things. I love all the ways in which this AU moves events just SLIGHTLY to the left and then the butterfly effect impact afterwards. The Cody and Obi-Wan relationship development is also just impeccable.
Natural Wonders (56k): Shapeshifter modern AU with nature photographer Cody and park ranger Obi-Wan and a murder mystery they solve together. There's some really cool facts about Yellowstone National Park in this fic as a delightful bonus to the sweet relationshippy stuff and the fun murder mystery storyline.
Greater Than Your Hoarded Gold series by Quietbang (ongoing, 96k): Anakin doesn't burn on Mustafar AU where there is a different kind of rebellion in the galaxy post Order 66. This author focused in on and centered the Jewish elements to the Jedi and brought in more Jewish culture to the Jedi, which is so interesting to read. The shifting perspectives, including totally outside perspectives, on the Jedi and the situation in the galaxy at large, makes for a really cool story with some incredible worldbuilding.
Unmasked by @schizo-fractured (17k): Footage of the Temple during Order 66 is released and this causes a series of changes in the galaxy as they confront what REALLY happened to the Jedi and the person who caused it. This got recommended to me based on a post I made wishing we could've seen Beru and Owen learn the truth about Anakin and what might've changed for them as a result, and while that's not the singular plot of this fic, it is kind-of an example of the underlying theme of the entire thing. It's a nice almost wish-fulfillment style concept where the loss of Anakin Skywalker's good reputation allows the general populace to rise up in defense of those he betrayed in righteous rage. It's time for the galaxy to defend the Jedi for a change.
the time when stars align by @deniigi (7k): Cody accidentally adopts some young stormtroopers post Order 66 and escapes with them to the Rebellion after Vader finds a way to "cure" him of his accelerated aging. Cody goes through so much horror in this fic and is still so SO funny with the way he looks at the world and speaks to his loved ones, allowing this fic to still feel sweet and wholesome despite how awful Cody's life is and has been.
When Night Falls series by Penguin Kiwi (ongoing, 7k): Cin Drallig gets more of a warning in the Force just before Order 66 and is able to put up a defense of the Temple and stop Anakin at the steps. I love these AUs that allow more niche Jedi to shine through, especially when it means they get to defeat Anakin because the Force looked at Anakin's choices and decided to abandon him for a better option. The conversation between Cin and Obi-Wan in the second fic really hits home, too.
The Jedi Deserve Better:
grow bold in a barren and desolate land by @blackkatmagic (5k): Mace survives Order 66 and Anakin's betrayal and stages a rescue for two clones left in prison who he knows never would've had their chips activated: Slick and Dogma. This has literally the barest mention of Anakin, but that mention is that Mace could easily beat Anakin in a fair fight, so I'm including it anyway. This is another one of those AUs I could read an entire longfic or series for and be eternally happy. There's a follow-up to this fic that's more explicitly Mace/Slick which is by no means ever a ship I had ever even considered before, but it works SO WELL here and gives me some interesting feelings. I'm also just always down for Dogma being treated kindly and getting a happier ending than canon chose to give him.
i am creation, both haunted and holy by @blackkatmagic (800): A'Sharad Hett makes a visit to Kamino where he meets Alpha-17 and finds they share an opinion about Anakin Skywalker. I'm so intrigued by A'Sharad Hett as a character and wish there was more content written about and for him. A'Sharad and Alpha-17 bonding over thinking Anakin Skywalker is an entitled selfish jerk is the best possible beginning to a ship, I'll be honest.
that was a spring of storms by @blackkatmagic (unfinished, 9k): When Alderaan is destroyed by the Death Star, Leia's grief causes herself, Luke, and Bail Organa to travel back in time to 8 months into the Clone Wars, where they are determined to ensure things go a little differently. This fic is only 2 chapters in, so I don't know precisely what kind of consequences Anakin may or may not end up getting, which is why it's in this category, but unsurprisingly neither Bail nor Leia are feeling particularly benevolent towards him and it is so incredibly satisfying. But holy FUCK am I hooked to this entire concept. Bail and Leia's relationship is heart-wrenching as all get out, Bail's protective instincts towards the Jedi absolutely kills me, and I'm so intrigued by these ship tags!
The Crime of Grief Series by @feybarn (ongoing, 34k): Padme goes into labor early while on the way to Mustafar, so neither she nor Obi-Wan ever make it there, and they go on the run with Rex and Ahsoka afterwards instead. Sides are drawn in the aftermath of Anakin's choices that causes friction among them before they can find healing. There's a large emphasis in this series that Anakin's choices are, in fact, HIS CHOICES, and the blame for them cannot be placed on anyone but Anakin, as well as the conundrum of whether it truly matters whether Anakin's got good left in him or not and if it's even worth it to try to save him.
吃飽了嗎? | Have you eaten your fill? series by virdant (1.5k): A look at Obi-Wan and his experience of Jedi culture through food. Virdant's fics focus in on the Asian influences in the Jedi and builds out their culture from there. Not every fic in this series is explicitly anti-Anakin, but a few of them are more critical of Anakin's view of the Jedi and his unwillingness to understand their culture or point of view.
things the way we want them to be by virdant (600): No Order 66 AU, where a teenaged Leia talks to Obi-Wan about the struggles she's having with Anakin as a father and the future she knows she (and Luke) should've had but weren't allowed. Leia is just absolutely heartbreaking in this, and Obi-Wan's inability to truly help her the way they both want is equally so. It's a devastating look at a possible less happy future even in a happy fix-it AU because leaving the Jedi would never be enough to "fix" Anakin.
Not This Crude Matter series by @talesfromthebitterbeast (53k): The clones have picked up some misconceptions about the Jedi which causes the Jedi to distance themselves from the clones, even after the war ends in a happy fix-it AU. The fics showcase the situation from multiple different perspectives as misunderstandings abound, but is always firmly on the side of the Jedi. I really like the way the Jedi relationships are showcased here, the ways they communicate and lean on each other even in the face of being misunderstood and misrepresented by people they'd hoped would understand them better than anyone else.
Harmonic Oscillation by @jessepinwheel (2k): Originally a short tumblr fic that has since been posted to AO3. Obi-Wan time travels back to the Clone War era and confronts Anakin about what he's done. I always love getting to see Obi-Wan refuse to let Anakin get away with his bullshit and finally see Anakin for the piece of shit that he is.
Released by @jedi-order-apologist (6k): Cody is rescued from the Empire post-Return of the Jedi and has to come to terms with everything he's happened to him now that he's at the end of his life and spent the majority of it brainwashed and enslaved to the Empire. This is a fic I come back to a lot because I really love the way Cody works through what's happened to him and the way he's viewed from an outside perspective via Luke. I also really love how the relationship between Cody and Obi-Wan isn't made explicitly romantic, but is portrayed as immensely important and meaningful to both of them, regardless of how you choose to view it.
Knightrise by @deviantaccumulation (unfinished, 89k): Obi-Wan and Yoda choose not to try to fight Anakin or Sidious and instead retreat to Mandalore to attempt to rebuild the Jedi Order as much as they can there under Satine's protection. This is an AU where Maul genuinely dies on Naboo which is a major plus in my book all on its own, quite honestly. There's some interesting political aspects in this for how the Jedi Order attempts to rebuild an actual community within Mandalore, with Mandalore still being a member of the Neutral Systems, and the Empire having risen already and all of the ensuing issues with that.
|keep the wolves away| by littlekaracan (unfinished, 46k): Obi-Wan and Yoda find Reva in the Temple and she accompanies Obi-Wan to Tatooine where they have to survive and recover together while watching over and protecting Luke. This is such a brilliant character study into Reva as a young child survivor of Order 66, being taken care of by someone who loves her but is equally as traumatized by the same event and the way that shapes their relationship and Reva's upbringing. I love her SO SO MUCH and I adore her perspective as she struggles to figure out what it means to be a Jedi in a world where being a Jedi openly means certain death but it's the last connection she has to her home, her family, and her culture.
our caches and constellations by johanneb (98k): "Eleven years ago, the Jedi order got wind of the closing pincers of a Sith trap and scattered to the remote corners of the galaxy. Ten years ago, millions of clone commanders and troopers were introduced as the Republic’s new Army, made for fighting a war alongside people the galaxy seemed to be forgetting ever existed." I couldn't come up with a better way to explain the fic than its own summary, but Cody and the 212th pick up Obi-Wan and Luke on Tatooine, while Senator Organa has to figure out how to get himself, Leia, and Leia's "tutor" to a rebel base without their two new Coruscant Guard escorts figuring out exactly how disloyal to the Republic they actually are. I absolutely SLAMMED through this fic, it's so good. Despite some of its heavier themes, it's honestly very sweet and wholesome with lots of cute Luke and Leia, some incredibly wonderful romances, and really interesting worldbuilding for this just slightly to the left version of the gffa. Anakin never makes an appearance in this, but he does get mentioned a few times for his betrayal and his part in the current state of the galaxy, and I REALLY loved that at no point in this fic was it ever important to either twin who their biological parents were.
ring the bells that can still ring by rain_sleet_snow (22k): Reva's been working with the Rebellion in-between the events of the Kenobi show and A New Hope, but when she hears Obi-Wan has made an appearance recently and goes to try to find him, she discovers Luke and Leia instead, with nobody left to train them but her. This fic was like a warm bread roll or a perfectly brewed cup of tea, it was just absolutely wholesome and exactly everything I could have wanted from this concept. The relationships between Luke, Leia, and Reva are both hilarious and sweet while allowing their respective traumas to still remain relevant to their journey together. Their discussions about Darkness, Reva's past, Obi-Wan, Anakin, the Jedi, and the events of A New Hope are all heart-wrenching and really feel so in-character but also so in line with the tone of the original trilogy. I could sit here and list things I liked about this fic all day, but it'd be faster to just read it yourself.

The Hesitant Fiancée by August Toulmouche (1866).
Usually don't go there but this painting made me think of this so much I just couldn't shake the idea.
Thinking of Anakin as the girl in white (come on they have the same unsettling stare!), with Padme (or even Shimi could fit I think) kissing his brow and Obi-Wan on his knees caressing his hand. And if we want to include the fourth girl, I'd say to add Ahsoka as she severs her padawan braid 👀
I just feel good about this idea, it feels so fitting. If any artist want to take it off my hands, please do!

Stars Collided || Twenty
Previous
Lovisa, dressed in a new and clean pale pink dress, with a skirt that was puffy, but still kept her frame visible, it had no sleeves, and so she had paired it with a pair of matching gloves. She wore her hair in a half up, half down, braided bun, style, with two small braids flowing down it, leaving the rest of her curls to air dry, a tiara sat on top of her hair, for the first time in a week.
"I'll make sure to speak to Obi-Wan, soon enough, Snips" Lovisa told Ahsoka, as she stared into her mirror, running her hands down her dress.
"Lovey, there is no need to, I will stay here, as your handmaiden, and then we do not have to be separated from one another."
"Nonsense, you are to be a Jedi, you have the gift, there is no use of it here, or at least, untrained." She took her friends hands in hers. "Ahsoka, you have so much potential, and I believe in you, I will miss you terribly, but knowing what I know about you, and holding you back from it, I would hate myself, and I care more about you and what you can offer the universe, than what you can offer my image."
"Lovey." Ahsoka groaned, wrapping her arms around the Princess's neck, hugging her tightly, and Lovisa followed suit, hugging the girl back, tightly.
Eventually, Lovisa and Ahsoka had made it down to the lunch room, with Threepio walking alongside them both, where everyone had been waiting for her, including Obi-Wan, and Anakin.
"Lovisa, are you done throwing your tantrum?" Her mother asked, linking her fingers together, and resting her chin on them. “There are also to be no dogs, in the dining room.”
"Jobal, my love." Ruwee sighed.
Lovisa didn't reply, as she headed towards her seat, choosing the one next to Anakin.
He got up quickly, to pull it out for her, just as Colo had stepped forward.
But Anakin had been quicker, with a little help from the force, due to only having one arm, but he made sure to look smugly, at the Palace guard, as he pushed her chair back in.
"Thank you, Ani." Lovisa smiled kindly, at the boy, as he sat back down, Threepio had decided to lay down, underneath his owners chair, taking a nap, during their meal.
"Well, it is divine, to have our family united, again, and with two special guests, who helped save my daughter." Ruwee raised his glass, at the two Jedi, and Lovisa's brows had deepened.
"Thank you, your highness, but I fear I could not take any credit, on that, as it was the Princess, who fought bravely, in the arena, and took a stand, during the battle, for she had bested us all, with her skill, and even helped Miss Tano, from danger."
"Ahsoka, is this true?" Jobal faced the handmaiden, that was stationed to the wall, with the two others, waiting to be needed.
"It is, your majesty, if it weren't for Lovisa, I fear I would have been turned into beast chow." Ahsoka bowed her head, taking a step back, after addressing the queen.
"That is wonderful news, Lovey!" Ruwee applauded.
"That was very brave of you, my darling, and I am proud of you, I hope you know that." Jobal told her, earnestly.
Lovisa ignored both her parents, choosing to look away, her arms folded over her chest.
"Master Kenobi, I was hoping to speak to you about a matter of importance, when you have a moment." Lovisa turned to the man.
"Uhm... of course, your highness, perhaps after lunch?" He offered.
"Yes, that will work."
"What's this about, Lovey?" Ruwee asked.
"Hm? Oh, nothing, don't you worry about it, maybe I'll let it slip in the future, but for now, I'd rather keep it from you." She took a sip from her glass.
"Lovisa, you are acting ridiculously childish, there was no ill intention, when we kept Padme and Senator Clovis's blossoming relationship, from you. You're dramatic, you get it from your father, but, being queen won't be awful, I do it, and you don't see me complaining, you will do a wonderful job."
"Except for the small fact, that my parents and sister lied to me! I am not dramatic, and I don't want to be queen!"
"Honey, we're not going anywhere, you won't be queen for a long time, and by then, you may be married, and have your own family, you'll grow mature, and things will change."
"Eurgh, poke my eye out with a fork." Lovisa rolled her eyes, taking another sip from her glass. "Padme, where is your drab of a fiancé?"
"If you must know, he's gone back home, to tell his own family the good news." Padme tried to keep her positive attitude, in front of the guests, instead of snapping at her younger sister, like she wished to.
"What, that they're finally becoming relevant." Lovisa scoffed.
"That's enough." Jobal told her.
"Finally, the food." Ruwee clapped his hands together, as the kitchen staff walked around the table, loading up their plates.
Anakin held his knife in his hand, attempting to cut up his food, with just the one utensil, but had ran into some trouble, though he tried to do it without anyone seeing or noticing.
But of course, Lovisa did.
"Here, let me." She said, in a soft voice, compared to how she had been speaking to her family, since she'd seen them.
"Thank you, Princess." He smiled, as she began to cut up his food.
She smiled back at him, and just the sight of him, seemed to calm down her terrible mood, as she refused to break contact with his eyes, the eyes she could get lost in, for all eternity.
When she had stabbed a piece of steak, he tilted his head, as she fed him, never once looking away from each other.
"The boy can feed himself." Ruwee told his daughter, breaking their silence.
Lovisa dropped her fork, and they both looked away from each other.
The door opened and one of the messengers stormed in.
"I'm sorry to interrupt your lunch, your majesty's." He bowed. "But I was told to bring this to you, as soon as it came."
"Oh, good, bring them here." Jobal, gestured for him to come over, with a hand full of envelopes.
"Whats that, Mother?" Padme asked.
"Just some RSVP's that have been returned, seems it'll be quite the turnout." Jobal said, giddily.
"You're throwing a ball, Jo..." Ruwee asked. "This isn't exactly a time to be throwing a ball, we're in the beginning of a war."
"It's not for a ball, that'll be in a few months, when we announce Lovey as the next heir-"
"Hold on, what?" Lovisa looked back up.
"I'll talk about it, later, when a certain someone, isn't around" She nodded at the obvious.
"I'll figure it out, soon enough." Lovisa raised a brow, poking her food.
After the terrible lunch had finally come to an end, Lovisa had asked Obi-Wan to accompany her on a walk, around the palace gardens.
"What was it that you wanted to discuss, Princess?" Obi-Wan asked, his hands clasped behind his back.
"Well, Master Kenobi, during my "travels" I made a discovery, and I would like to remind you, that one day, I will be your queen, so please keep that in mind, for what I'm about to ask you."
"Will do" He chuckled.
"Uhm... So, I know, typically the Jedi do not recruit anyone over the age of four, in most cases, obviously, Anakin Skywalker was a very different situation. But I have reason to believe that my handmaiden, Ahsoka Tano is strong with the force, and Ani-Anakin supported my claims."
"Hmm, that is curious." He stroked his beard.
"Yes. And I strongly encourage that you take her on, to join the Jedi, or at the very least, train her in the ways, she has all the potential, and I would hate to see it go to waste."
"You care a lot about, Lady Tano, Don't you?"
"I do, Master Kenobi, she's the longest friend I’ve had, and I feel the guilt of her being my handmaiden, a lot, so please."
"I will do what I can, to persuade the council, I promise, your highness" Obi-Wan nodded to her. "Even though you disagree, so openly, I know in time, you will make a wonderful Queen, and leader, I sense it, in the force."
"Just like Anakin is supposed to bring balance to the force." Lovisa joked, side eying him.
"That's what the prophecy says." He sighed, sounding as though he didn't believe it, all too much.

Star Wars Rebels and Ezrabine
Since I'm an amateur writer making an uneducated guess, I'd like to discuss relationships in the Star Wars universe. It's probably one of the touchiest subjects in this community, right after the debate over which trilogy was better (prequel or sequel), whether Jar Jar Binks was necessary, or if the politics are actually garbage.
To be more specific, I want to delve into the relationship between Ezra and Sabine from Star Wars Rebels. You might know them as Ezrabine or Sabezra. They're one of the hottest topics in pairings, right up there with Rey and Ben/Kylo. While the latter pair is something I deeply disapprove of, I'm neutrally conflicted about Sabezra.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before I dissect the relationship itself, I'd like to touch on three points that people often criticize or discuss. Please bear with me; I'm a bit sleep-deprived.
Ages:
Quoting from Quora: "Han's official year of birth is 'ca. 32 BBY,' which means he's anywhere from ten to thirteen years older than Leia." This suggests that the most iconic couple in Star Wars had a notably significant age gap. "Padmé was born in 46 BBY (Before the Battle of Yavin), and Anakin's miraculous Force-created birth came in 41 BBY, so Padmé is five years older than him." Yet another iconic couple, with a substantial age difference. Hera and Kanan are yet another example, with Hera being four years older.
Headcanons:
I understand that people want Sabine to be a lesbian, and I can empathize with that desire. As a queer Star Wars fan myself, I comprehend the need for characters with similar journeys and identities. However, while having headcanons, it's crucial to remember that they are personal interpretations. They don't become canon for everyone just because you envision them that way. You're free to explore your own headcanons, and if others agree, that's even better. But ultimately, headcanon remains just that—headcanon.
For instance, my personal headcanon includes Ahsoka being aroace, or at the very least, completely asexual bisexual. And I believe Luke Skywalker isn't straight at all. I mean, have you seen the boots he wore for his own execution? Come on!
Relationships in Star Wars:
When we examine relationships in the Star Wars universe, we discover a wide array. These range from parent-child relationships, sibling bonds, adopted families, found families, to romantic love in various forms, ages, and situations. Tragedy often follows these relationships:
Ashoka and Anakin: Master and Padawan, Brother and Sister, Tragedy.
Obi-Wan and Satine: Jedi and Senator, Lovers, Tragedy.
Padme and Anakin: Senator and Jedi, Tragedy.
Kanan and Hera: Jedi and Rebel, Tragedy.
Yoda and Dooku: Master and Padawan, Tragedy.
This list goes on endlessly, and it's filled with sorrow.
Most of the significant Star Wars relationships are fraught with tragedy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The relationship within the Ghost crew can be described as follows: "The crew of the Ghost in Star Wars Rebels has always been a family. They aren't related by blood, and they didn't come from the same homeworlds, but they are bound together by a common cause, respect, trust, and love." This is how Amy Richau described them in an article on StarWars.com.
From what I've gathered, the found family dynamic within the Ghost crew evolves with each member.
Take Kanan, for example. While Hera is his girlfriend and wife, Chopper is a quirky, psychopathic pet, and Sabine is like a surrogate daughter, Kanan's relationship with Ezra is that of a Padawan and Master to the highest degree. A master plays a role akin to that of a father but maintains the mentorship for training and respect, which involves clear emotions but also a deeper line.
Hera takes on the role of a self-proclaimed mom, offering kindness in the harsh times of rebellion. Zeb is mostly like the older brother who spotted you as a newbie at school and decided to lend a helping hand, providing support and having your back.
What I'm trying to convey is that while the Ghost crew is undoubtedly a family under any circumstances, the relationship between Ezra and Sabine doesn't fit the sibling mold, especially not from Season 3 onward. There's a reason I believe Ezra still has feelings for Sabine, at least until the Ahsoka Episode 4 standpoint.
From Season 3 onward, we witness Ezra's transformation. He matures, learns, and fully embraces his role as a future Jedi. He's no longer the kid the crew rescued on that planet, nor does he try to flirt with Sabine like some awkward neighbor kid. He's become an integral part of their close-knit community.
He and Sabine are equals, and he's no longer the young person Sabine takes under her wing in an older sisterly manner. They fight as rebels together, as comrades in the same community. Perhaps they sense a familial bond through the crew, but no dialogue from either of them implies a sibling relationship. They haven't been written with sibling energy, unlike the dynamic between Ahsoka and Anakin or Leia and Luke in the 6th movie.
In Season 3, there are moments that could have established them as siblings to emphasize the family connection. Take, for instance, when Ezra meets Sabine's family during the Mandalorian arc, and he talks to Sabine's brother for the first time. Instead of introducing himself as Sabine's brother, it comes off more like a boy meeting his Gfs family.
There might be counterarguments, as in Season 4's beginning when Ezra and the other Mandalorians rescue Sabine's father. Ezra doesn't claim to be family; he implies that he isn’t in a romantic relationship with Sabine. However, the fact that Ezra never alludes to a sibling relationship is intriguing. The end of Rebels, where it's just between Ezra and Sabine, further adds complexity to the situation, with how he decides to confide in him and him only.
There may have been something in the works discussed in the directing room, but then why is there a sudden shift to a sibling relationship in Ahsoka? It's hard to believe that after not allowing Ezra to introduce himself as Sabine's brother, they now suddenly introduce that element again. There are some theories out there that could explain why Sabine scoffs instead of reacting fondly when he says he's her brother. It's all quite frustrating.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
While there's undoubtedly a sense of familial connection within the Ghost crew, the relationship between Sabine and Ezra has taken on a different dimension. It doesn't necessarily have to be romantic, as there are moments missing for that kind of build-up. Some scenes, the way they're animated, shot, or the dialogue they share, indicate a different dynamic.
But there's also no clear groundwork for a sibling relationship, and considering Star Wars' storytelling and penchant for twists, it wouldn't be surprising if it turned out to be a setup.
The divide within the fandom over the years has also made it challenging to establish this relationship. And keeping it ambiguous didn't help as we know how fandoms like to rip each other apart.
But in the end, it's a story. Let's stay calm, take a deep breath, and see how it unfolds. Let's keep the discussions civil and respect each other's viewpoints as we argue like pros!

I'll start by saying that I have a rather basic understanding of Ashoka as a character, the only think I know is that she was Anakin's padawan.
And like... Where did Ashoka come from? In the Prequel Trilogy The Jedi Order doesn't want to make Anakin a master, so why would they give him a padawan? It just doesn't make sense and makes me kinda frustrated because I love the film and the PT and the way it shows how Anakin falls into the darkness and how he feels rejected by the Jedi. I love how his relationship with Padme developed, the way Obi-Wan tried to teach him to the best of his abilities.
And being completely honest, there just isn't a place in Anakin's story for Ashoka or any other padawan. He wasn't ready and the Jedi master wouldn't give him a student.
I'm just frustrated because it feels like Disney is taking this wonderful story and spiting on it just to place a badass girl boss in it. And they don't even need to do that, because the PT has Padme! She is cool and smart even if she doesn't have Jedi powers.
Thank you for reading this rant, I hope you have a good day/night
You are absolutely right. The MCU-ification of Star Wars is fast reaching that ridiculous point where you need to watch ten other things to get one thing, and that's BAD. You want to include your deep lore audience AND your casual fans. My mom (who watches all the live action shows but not the cartoons) said the same thing - "Who are these people?"
And you're absolutely right that there is no room or narrative need for Ahsoka and never has been. Anakin's attachment and issues are perfectly demonstrated through the more fleshed out female characters Shmi and Padme, not to mention Obi-Wan Kenobi. We even see it in the OT with his actions toward Luke. Ahsoka is completely unnecessary. (Even more egregious because "show following Jedi Master and Padawan and their clones through the Clone Wars" is a great premise imo that didn't need Anakin in it either.)
I'd also like to once again bring up that at 12 years old I couldn't wait for Episode III so I wrote my own, and in my Very First Big Girl Story there was Lia Skye, a super badass Padawan who was super good at combat and had special Jedi skills and was a prodigy and sooooooo important to my favorite character (Obi-Wan, also even at 12 I knew Anakin had no business around children) who then died tragically and was still The Most Important even in death because she was Anakin's first victim and generally took over the whole story. Filoni is writing the same fanfiction as a 12-year-old girl. Disney start paying your writers fairly, you clearly need them.

Coming Attractions!
Yes, I'm aware it's Tuesday not Monday but shhhhh XD
Just a quick one this month. Not even going to split it up by fandom as I usually do, just kinda blitz through.
So I ended up...essentially taking January off from writing, apart from a scattered few sentences here and there. Which on the one hand was probably good for me but on the other hand I'm behind on projects lol. Ah well.
Priorities for this month: 1. SWBB I'm picking up the project I had to step away from last year. Anakin was not found at age nine and never became a Jedi; we're handwaving that TPM ended roughly the same way anyway because Padme and Obi-Wan are very good at what they do and one of the other pilots got lucky on the droid control ship. Fast-forward to like a year and a half/two years into the Clone Wars, Ahsoka ends up briefly stranded on a planet that's neutral mostly because it's a black market hub. They click pretty quickly, hang out for a while, stumble into a Separatist plot to test a chemical weapon and blame a limnic eruption for the deaths, and Deal With It. Hondo and Bo-Katan are briefly involved because I said so XD 2. P&J We're getting to the part where Ari actually finds stuff out, lol. Getting to Europe and talking with other researchers, etc. There's some interesting stuff in Marseille, and Calais is important. And Ari and Phil continue to be cute in the background. 3. The Other Battlestar Baltar ends up on Pegasus; there's a bunch of stuff built up around the two OCs who fill the plotholes he left behind...I need to get more text down in general, lol. And also figure out how I want to structure it? Like...I do need to establish the new people (including a few on Pegasus, like the senior medical officer, a marine officer, there will also be a Four who gets pulled from the civilian fleet...) and also clarify why Baltar ends up in a different position (and why Helo doesn't because he and Athena still need to meet). And it would probably make the most sense to just go linearly and handle all the miniseries exposition in order. But then again would that actually be Interesting; or would it be better to pick up later and jump back and forth in time...yeah, you see my problem lol. 4. Acheron Javert Groundhog Day fic; looping the last 36ish hours of his life. (from right before he heads to the barricade to his death). 5. Maybe get back into Precipice or write some origfic if I have time/brain.
Longer-range projects: 1. Percussive Maintenance is still hanging out in my head, so I'm tentatively planning on that for GBB (aka the one where the at least two concussions Sam gets during Downloaded unlock Enough of his memories) 2. Or maybe I'll jump back to The Blood of Angry Men, we'll see. (aka a Zarek character study; looking back on his life (and the allies/friends/tools that he's led to their deaths) from the night before his execution) 3. What I'm definitely not doing is any of the crossovers floating around in my head; either the Star Wars ones or the WoT ones. (the one I talked about the other night; and a fusion is actually sort of building in my head because of course it is. Mostly because of the Kara-as-Mat thing I pinged onto the other night; but also Baltar would be an interesting Logain; possibly Zarek as Taim? I think I'd leave Rand as Rand and just fill in the roles around him. Lee also lines up really well with Perrin...and since this would derail pretty early on I feel a little more Flexible about love interests/etc. lol. For reasons of Tuon, Moiraine, and Lan, mostly. Also Faile. Also I'd still want Caprica as a sul'dam, I think, but Logain doesn't have a canon love interest IIRC sooooo that's easier to sort out XD ...although now that I think about it, Athena as Nynaeve and Helo as Lan could work...) 4. Incinctus/other Castlevania things. 5. I'm doing pod_together again once signups open. I need to refine my fandoms list, haha. Not that I haven't had interesting times the last couple years, but it'd be nice to get matched based on something that Isn't a very secondary/tertiary fandom for me again. 6. AtLA may come floating back into my head enough to pick up some of the projects I wandered away from there, we'll see.
Not writing, strictly speaking, but there's some admin/modding stuff for this year's GBB that I should get a move on, especially since the event is moving to May-October, plus helping out with SWBB the way I do every year.
...yeah, that's pretty much where things stand. Hopefully I'll hit a nice groove this month!
What about you guys, what are you working on?

I'm not sure if you've ever seen it, but Marvel made a show called What If that reimagines famous events from the films in unexpected ways, and I'm curious what you'd like to see reimagined if they were to ever make one for Star Wars? I know a few alternate scenarios people have thrown out include if Ahsoka had never left the Jedi order, if Obi-Wan had died instead and Qui-Gon were the one to train Anakin, and if Leia and Luke switched places.
Would love to know your thoughts!
I have NOT seen that show, but I am aware of it as a Thing That Exists XD Oh man oh man... I do love me some AUs were some clones turn out to be force sensitive--and how that can come out and turn the tide of the war/oust Sideous.
And of course I'd watch a good Padme Lives AU in whatever form it takes. There was a tumblr post ages ago about what if Padme faked her death and became a founder of the resistance unaware that Vader is Anakin and vice versa until she reveals it to him and turns him. Such a good what-if.
And then for the shits and the giggles What If R2D2 was a Protocol Droid and C3PP Was an Astromech.
#ask#droidswap au lets make it happen people#what if all the droids were gonk droids.#anon#star wars

Ok, I'm busy writing the next chapter of mitptt and re-writing the outline for another fic, so I'm not gonna be able to respond to this super in depth atm---so I might respond again later---but I do want to go ahead and respond now
----------
You say that I'm wrong about the Jedi being perfectly happy without romance, but I'm not.
Firstly, the only Jedi we hear about romance for are Anakin and Obi-Wan in TCW- (Ahsoka has a crush for two episodes, but a crush is different than actual romance) -and that's it. Legends content isn't canon and, as such, I generally disregard it in conversations like this---especially given my limited knowledge of it---so I'll be ignoring the other romances you listed.
First, let's talk about Obi-Wan.
Throughout the PT and TCW, Obi-Wan is actually shown to be very happy and fulfilled as a Jedi and he doesn't show any inclination towards actually pursuing a relationship. The only time that's shown is in the Mandalore arc with Satine and, ignoring the fact that that entire arc goes completely against Obi-Wan's character- (@antianakin has a really good breakdown of it on their blog), in that arc it's made clear that Obi-Wan's relationship with Satine happened in their teens and Obi-Wan still ends up choosing the Order over Satine at the end of it, even though Satine literally just confessed her feelings to him.
Obi-Wan chooses the Jedi, not romance.
And the thing is, the Jedi can't have both, which brings us to Anakin---the guy who tried to have both.
----------
Anakin was "in love" with Padme- (I use quotes bc I personally disagree, but that's not what this is about) -and, because he was selfish and didn't want to give up either romance or being a Jedi, he decided to just...have both and ignore any issues that that caused. As a result, these things happened:
- A shit ton of clones died as a result of both Anakin and Padme making selfish decisions because of this "love"
- Anakin genocided the Jedi, including literal children
- The clones were enslaved and forced to murder their friends, including children, against their will
- The Republic fell and the galaxy went into a dark age perpetuated by the fascist dictatorship Anakin helped build
- Many other species were genocided by said fascist dictatorship Anakin helped build
- Padme died because of Anakin, and Anakin literally choked her out so 🤷♀️
and I could go on.
The fact of the matter is that when a Jedi refuses to pick whether they want to pursue romance or if they want to continue to be a Jedi, terrible things happen---which is exactly why they can't have both. You say that the Jedi "shouldn't have to choose," but we're literally shown what happens when they don't---which is an integral part of the world building and the story.
----------
Finally, I personally find it a pretty closed-minded view to say that the Jedi "weren't happy" simply because they couldn't get married. Let's use my life as an example:
I'm single and, personally, I would really like to have a girlfriend, to have romance in my life---however, I am still very happy with my life.
Do I want more? Yes.
Does the lack of it mean that I'm any less happy? No.
And to perpetuate the idea that people, even fictional characters, can't be truly happy or fulfilled without a romantic relationship is a slap in the face to the many people who choose to forgo romantic aspirations for whatever reason.
Romance isn't the end-all be-all of what makes people happy, and it's ridiculous to pretend that it is.
-----------
@short-wooloo @gffa @david-talks-sw - I'm sure I missed some points and didn't articulate this very well, so if you guys had stuff to add, I'd really appreciate it <3
Call me crazy, but I know for a fact that I would not want a romantic relationship if I was a Jedi.
If I lived somewhere where I was a part of a community of people that I considered my mentors, my friends, my family; if I lived somewhere where I was encouraged to learn, to travel, to help people, to enjoy life as it is, and better myself; if I lived somewhere where I was supported and loved and cared for by the community, and I did the supporting, the loving, the caring for other people in the community as well; if I lived somewhere where it wasn't constantly implied, or sometimes outright stated, that my worth was tied to me marrying a man, popping out children, and making money...
...if I was a Jedi, I can honestly say that the thought of pursuing a romantic relationship probably wouldn't cross my mind at all---not unless I met someone specific whom I felt that sort of connection with, but even then, I probably wouldn't give up being a Jedi to be with them because I'd feel more fulfilled as a Jedi than I would in a romantic relationship.
I honestly don't understand the assumption that the Jedi are miserable because they can't get married, I really don't.
If you feel like you wouldn't be able to be fulfilled without a romantic partner, then that's fine! Everyone's different! We all have different wants and needs! But just accept that you wouldn't be fulfilled without a romantic relationship and stop acting like it's impossible for anyone else to feel differently.
The Jedi all seem perfectly happy as they are.

So I've had this Tumbler for a while now, long time lurker and rarely posting. Just thought I'd give a little better introduction of myself than what my bio says.
I mostly prefer to keep to myself so excuse my sparse social interactions, haha. You can call me Charlie and I am definitely female. I was born the year Dr. Robert Ballard discovered the remains of the Titanic and for some inexplicable reason, I feel a connection to the “unsinkable” ocean liner. I had a minor obsession with the ship as a teen, and tend to enjoy reading about it, or watching documentaries or youtube videos of it. I am also a lover of Tudor history.
My main interest here on Tumbler surrounds the Sims and fanfiction. I’ve been an avid simmer since the original Sims came out. I don’t know about anyone else, but for some reason I can get a kind of god complex when I play the sims, lol. I discovered mods during the Sims 3 and have been hooked ever since. My two favorite mods are MC command center and Wicked Whims. I’ve also used the extreme violence mod before and some of the sims storylines I created with these mods are rather, ahem, interesting. I would be willing to share if anyone is interested, just fair warning, these interesting sims stories are NSFW.
My other love includes fanfiction. I first got involved in 2001 and was introduced in a now defunct Harry Potter site. My earliest fics are now lost. I later became prolific on fanfiction.net and you can still see my works there through the link in my profile. In 2005 I switched from Harry Potter over to Star Wars. For a brief time I had drifted into Gilmore Girls before drifting back to Harry Potter and back to Star Wars where I am currently firmly based. I have grown annoyed with fanfiction.net and decided to switch over to Archive of Our Own where all my current fics are being posted.
My favorite fic trope is time travel/ time travel fix-its.
I enjoy a variety of AU’s Such as: Anakin doesn’t fall, Darth Vader/Padme Amidala fics where Anakin was raised as a Sith, Character X doesn’t die, Luke and Leia were raised by at least one of their parents, and a multitude of variations of these tropes. In recent months I’ve gotten into modern au anidala fics, a trope that I’ve avoided for a while.
My ships include:
Harry Potter/Hermione Granger
Rory Gilmore/Logan Huntzberger
Anakin Skywalker(Darth Vader)/Padme Amidala
Luke Skywalker/Mara Jade
Leia Organa/Han Solo
Ships that give me the willies but I wont judge those who enjoy them:
Anakin Skywalker/Obi-Wan Kenobi * Because they literally equate each other as brothers/family and have both said so more than once.
Anakin Skywalker/Ahsoka Tano * These two have a big brother/little sister dynamic and nothing anyone says can dissuade me.
Hermione Granger/ anyone who is a Death Eater. * Because, WTF? You know what I’m talking about, don’t lie.
Psychology is an interest of mine and I enjoy incorporating it into my works in recent years. If I could pass math and had the finances, I would pursue a degree in the subject. Mental Illness is a subject that is very important to me and I like to consider myself an advocate for the support of mental illness and fully believe in the benefits of therapy. So I do not, under any circumstances, tolerate the use of words like crazy and all its synonyms as a form of insult. Everyone struggles with something so a little kindness and understanding, compassion, is something we should extend to everyone around us, including those who have wronged us. I am very open with talking about my own struggles, in the hopes that I can help someone else struggling in whatever way I can. Sometimes, it helps to know that you are not alone in your struggles.
I am not perfect, in any way, but I try to be a decent person with integrity. I make mistakes and often struggle in how to fix those mistakes. Often, I need people to come to me and tell me if I have hurt or offended them due to my own lack of a filter and impulsivity. I am very open to listening to grievances and to finding a way to work through those grievances. However, what I will never do is blast those grievances or work through them in a public forum. I prefer not to stir drama on the internet. It is preferable, IMHO, to work through any issues privately rather than air it all publicly. I have seen a lot of examples when grievances are aired online and it only ever invites people outside the situation to insert themselves into the situation and stir the drama even further. I have no interest in participating in such situations, it is way too stressful. This is why I have distanced myself from facebook. I would much rather save this account for stress relief fun.
And here, I feel that I should reiterate another point I made in my profile. I very rarely, if ever, check my messages here on tumbler. When I first joined and for quite a while, the only messages I would receive was porn spam. So I found myself avoiding my messages here. I have zero interest in accepting porn spam. No, I will not check out your webcam. No, I am not interested in watching hot women or connecting with hot women. While I appreciate the female form and have had some celebrity girl crushes, I am very interested in men. And no, I am also not interested in unsolicited penis pictures either. Why do I appear to be interested in this shit?
Back to a fun topic. My love for history, sims, fanfiction and geeky stuff is also accompanied by my love for music. My two favorite genres of music are Rock and Classical. I have a wide variety of music tastes but I can’t stand country music and disco. Ick…lol! I was exposed to a wide variety growing up so of course I love music. I listen to music during a majority of everyday tasks and while I read and write. My music library is absolutely huge!
If Interested, I have compiled a personal playlist that expresses my life through song. You can check it out here:

If you could write your own or even rewrite a SW story or character arc and have then be canon which or who would it be and how would you do it?
OH OH OH I have SUCH a good idea for an original Star Wars storyline that I honestly am going to keep it to myself because I might want to turn it into an original novel one day.
I think SW has the dad-and-kid trope (so many characters), the Cliched Love Story trope (many characters), the Classic Monster trope (Vader), the Man and his Dog trope (Chewie and Han... yes, Han is the dog)... but what it is missing is another pivotal trope which appeals to a subset of the audience that they have yet to tap into and seem to have trouble tapping into.
So... DLF if you're listening, hire me! haha
But otherwise I think one thing I really would have liked, although I understand why they did it in RotJ, is to alter Anakin's helmet-less Vader design. Like I really would have liked to see Luke burn Anakin's body in a different part-Jedi, part-Sith costume, rather than inside the shell of Vader. I think it would've been a great opportunity for them to visualize this "Third Body" ... not the Angel Anakin, or the Demon Vader... but the soul inside who is balanced, both, and finally at peace. I definitely would've made some cool costume adjustments there. Maybe when they reshoot some RotJ scenes (heard they were doing that) for the Ahsoka series, they will do some adjustments.
There is a lot of great art out there of "reformed Vader" on the internet which I think would be a great starting point. This, for instance, is one of my favorites from the artist Monsieur Charles Design:
I'd also rewrite the entirely of the subplot of RotJ ... it was utterly awful although I LOVE Ewoks, give Leia something to actually do in RotJ, and alter the slave!Leia storyline and the "wise master" Luke on Tatooine at Jabba's palace storyline... because it is super hokey and honestly silly. It does nothing for Luke's character imo. Leia also deserved to speak to Vader while knowing he was her father - or have some kind of scene showing her reaction to this.
I'd also give Ben Solo/Knights of Ren/Kylo Ren way more backstory, give him scenes with Leia, plant evidence of Rey being a Palpatine all throughout the sequels (or keep her a Nobody), allow Finn to have his own plotline of freeing and liberating the stormtroopers.. there's a lot I would change. I'd also put more Obi/Ani moments in the prequels (something the TCW went and did) and expand upon Obi-wan's insecurity on screen. And lastly, of course, I'd include almost all of Padme's deleted scenes, and give her WAY more screentime with her fellow rebel conspirator Senators, to give her agency away from Anakin's storyline.
And I'd include the awesome OG storyline of her going to Mustafar to slit Anakin's throat, but being unable to because she loved him so much.
I just LOVE how every person with the ability to actually kill Anakin/Vader couldn't. Padme because she loved him, Obi-wan because he loved him, Luke because he loved him, and Sidious because he needed a slave.
Ahhhh... the agony of it.

Hello there! I saw that you need questions, so I thought I'd drop by.
1: how do the Batch know Cody and Obi-Wan?
2: what's the situation with the Skywalker family and Ahsoka in your universe?
And 3: how did the boys meet 99?
Thank, you, and have a great day!
Obi Wan was volunteering at a local food drive when he met Anakin. Obi-wan was in high school at the time. He noticed Anakin would always come alone and run off as soon as he had food. Slowly Obi-wan befriended the boy. He discovered that Anakin and his mother were living out of a small one bedroom apartment on the wrong side of town. Obi wan and his family did everything to help the two. Helping Shmi find a more stable job, inviting them over for holidays, and making sure Anakin got into a decent school. Obi Wan quickly became sort of a surrogate big brother to Anakin.
During college, Obi-wan met Satine and a relationship was soon formed. They ended up getting married, and were a happy couple while they both went through law school. Satine ended up getting sick, and after a long battle with cancer, ended up passing. Obi wan was heart broken, and poured his soul into his work. Trying to take cases that would make Satine proud.
So when Anakin reached out about a favor for a struggling family trying to get custody over their sister, Obi Wan jumped right in to help. Throughout the trial, Obi wan ended up meeting a lot of the Fett's, including Cody. A close friendship was started from there...
(Cody is a cousin to the Batch and Echo)
As for the skywalkers.
Happy ending for all.
Anakin is married to Padme and they have the twins, Luke and Leia. Anakin and Ahsoka are teachers at the middle school, and co-coaches of the soccer team. Ahsoka used to be Anakin's student teacher but now is teaching classes on her own.
And 99.
99 helped the boys alot during their teenage years. When they were homeless, he was one of the only people that tried to help. He was social worker and discovered the batch at a homeless shelter, he tried to get them into some sort of foster care. But as soon as they realized there was possibility of being split apart, they ran away.
99 managed to track them down once again, and decided to help them a little more "under the radar". He used his connections with other homeless to find the boys safer areas to live in. He would often bring them food, and much needed supplies, and provide shelter when the weather got bad.
And he even helped them enroll in a local high school. He was as close to a father figure the boys would ever get. He was making plans to adopt them, when he was unfortunately in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was killed in a mugging gone wrong. The batch had no idea of his passing until several weeks later, when they stumbled upon his obituary in a newspaper.
--
For the most part, any death that happened during pre-Order 66 will be reflected in the Modern AU.

Oh mate, I think you may have missed the "maybe Obi-Wan is just a better person than me" part of this post.
Also I'd love for you to point out some of the obvious warning signs Obi-Wan had that would have led him to believe Anakin was evil that don't include things Obi-Wan specifically is not there to see and could not possibly know about.
Tusken massacre? Obi-Wan has no idea this ever happened.
Marrying Padme? Obi-Wan has no idea this ever happened. He knows they're in a RELATIONSHIP of some kind, but not that they're married.
Killing Trench? Obi-Wan has no idea this ever happened.
Killing Dooku after he was unarmed? Obi-Wan has no idea this ever happened.
Forcing Ahsoka to get stunned into unconsciousness for an hour over and over again? Obi-Wan has no idea this ever happened.
What Obi-Wan KNOWS is that Anakin struggles with fear of loss sometimes, and that Anakin can sometimes get arrogant due to his advanced skills. But he is called out for DOUBTING Anakin in Attack of the Clones and reminded that, at some point, there's literally nothing you can do to ensure someone turns out a certain way or makes certain choices. At some point, the best you can do is have faith that you've done your job as a teacher/guardian/parent and allow the other person to go out into the world and figure it out for themselves without too much trouble. If you've done your job right, they'll be okay. They might stumble, sure, but they'll generally be okay.
This is, in fact, the OPPOSITE of attachment. That IS non-attachment. That is all about letting go of a desire to control a specific outcome, letting go of fear of a potential future, letting go of insecurity over your own capabilities as a teacher.
And that's EXACTLY WHAT OBI-WAN DOES. By Revenge of the Sith, he retains his faith in Anakin, not because he's too attached to see Anakin clearly, but because of a combination of just simply not knowing enough of the worst things Anakin's done to really worry and a deliberate choice to recognize that the flaws he DOES know about are things Anakin has been given the knowledge to overcome and faith that he ultimately WILL overcome them.
Obi-Wan cannot possibly know that Anakin will do something as evil as Order 66 because he has never been privy to the things we as the audience know Anakin has done that are just as evil. Obi-Wan cannot hear the Imperial March playing every time Anakin so much as breathes during the Clone War. He is not omniscient.
So yes, Obi-Wan is WRONG that Anakin will ultimately overcome his flaws, but that's not exactly his FAULT when he was never given enough information to be able to recognize that this was happening.
I'll also point out that immediately after Anakin does commit mass murder on the Tuskens, the Jedi are drafted into a galactic civil war and Obi-Wan is pretty abruptly slammed with a lot of other problems to deal with. Anakin is generally not going to be his biggest concern most of the time, especially with how quickly we can assume he got Knighted and handed his own battalion away from Obi-Wan. So they spend limited time together and Obi-Wan is not only a General in the war, he's made a High Council Member and handed an ENTIRE Systems Army to run alongside whatever Council duties he now also has to juggle. The dude's BUSY and not constantly supervising Anakin the way he would've done when Anakin was a Padawan.
I'm not going to disagree that the bullshit about Obi-Wan helping Anakin become a Force Ghost veers dangerously into attachment territory, but I generally think the Force Ghosts are just stupidly written to begin with and the reason that they have to come up with the explanation that Obi-Wan helped Anakin figure out how to Ghost is because of the stupid decision made to have Anakin be a Ghost to begin with and the absolute horror show that is the worldbuilding behind the Ghosts both then and now. I don't think Anakin should've been a Ghost at all, and I think it does both Anakin AND Obi-Wan a disservice as characters to have Obi-Wan help Anakin become a Ghost.
And the last thing I'll point out is that EVEN IF YOU WERE RIGHT, even IF Obi-Wan also had an attachment to Anakin that caused him to ignore warning signs of Anakin's impending Sithdom, that STILL wouldn't mean attachment was a GOOD THING? It would STILL mean that those 10k word essays are RIGHT and the non-attachment practices the Jedi use are GOOD and both Obi-Wan AND Anakin should've been using them.
So I can't even tell what the point is that you're trying to make here. Are you trying to act like non attachment is a stupid made-up thing that us pro Jedi people throw out just to sound smart? Are you just bashing Obi-Wan because you don't like his character?
Maybe Obi-Wan is just a better person than me (likely) but I would personally not have taken back a friend that decided to genocide my entire culture by enslaving a culture of people that I considered my friends just to save their spouse and then proceeded to spend 20 years trying to hunt me to down to kill me to when the first genocide fucking missed me and their spouse died in the aftermath and they blamed me for it.
I feel like that's just... pretty friendship-ending stuff, just in general.
AITA?
#get off my blog asshole#obi-wan#we do not victim blame obi-wan or the jedi in this house#we do not bash real world practices in this house#we understand the definition of attachment in this house#if you cannot abide by those rules then please go away

It’s missing anakin and obi wan hours! So if you had to pick 5 (or more 😏) moments when these guys looked their most glorious (or badass) what would they be?? 🤔
Okay Okay Okay I can definitely do this! YEEE HAW! 🤠
Sorry this turned into glorious = handsome. After I found some screencaps I realized where I ended up. I apologize but here we are 😅
Let's do Anakin first, in descending order:
5. Season 7 Episode 9 of The Clone Wars: Rescuing Obi-Wan
That whole part where he's kneeling on the tank talking down to Obi-Wan while carnage is happening all around him? He's simultaneously the glorious chosen one and also such a brat I love him.
I also just have such a soft spot for animated Anakin (and Matt Latner voicing him), even the jankier versions from the earlier seasons (shut up, his nose is fucking adorable) but this glow-up is everything I could have wanted for him and it really drives home how powerful Anakin already is and, honestly, makes the transformation into Darth Vader all the more terrifying and heartbreaking.
4. Revenge of the Sith: Rematch with Dooku
BAD! ASS! BITCH!
The cool collected expression when he catches Dooku's sabre after cutting off his hands like it's nothing? Yes, work it! He's so blasé about it (right before Palpatine interjects and starts being a creep about killing Dooku like the Skeevy Sheev he is) and it's such a glow up from the disastrous first duel. Anakin got his revenge and then some. You take my arm? I take your hands and your head.
3. Revenge of the Sith: Post Nightmare
The open robe, the low-slung pants, the exposed mechanical arm, the brooding... Hayden Christensen's face and low brow were designed perfectly for two things: being a pretty sad boy and the Kubrick stare. It's kinda sad how dark this scene is without editing but the way the city glimmers and catches on Anakin's brass curls? 😩 Perfection!
2. Revenge of the Sith: Don't even know what to call it I just want to look at him
Love looks so good on him, the way it absolutely consumes him to his core. It's both his most beloved and cursed trait and he wears it like a crown in this scene. It's both dark and warm at the same time, the way he stares at Padmé like she is his whole universe and she carries his future with her.
I'd say get you an SO who does the same but I don't think anyone wants to be put on a pedestal like that. And we all know how it goes down. But his loyalty and love do shine bright here in his gaze as well as his obsession and it makes him very handsome.
1. Revenge of the Sith: Unhinged Anakin
Anakin at his most glorious. As if it could be any other bastard but this one. He's at his hottest when he's high on the dark side and off his rabid ass mind, dreaming of ruling the galaxy with the love of his life. This basically includes the entirety of his conversation with padme and the "I have brought peace, freedom, justice, and security to my new Empire" villain speech. He's perfect, he's evil, he's Darth Vader at his most glorious before Obi-Wan cuts him down to size 😭
Now for the handsome devil himself, Obi-Wan:
5. Season 7 Episode 9 of The Clone Wars: Confronting Bo-Katan and Ahsoka
He. Is. So. Soft. Here.
Soft but stern and so wholly good. He's a Jedi, and you can see it in every line of his body, in his compassion, in how heavy the weight of the decisions of war rest on his shoulders. The grey in his hair, the crows feet... they so lovingly animated him and I love him so so so much in this scene because it shows just how much he loves but is bound by duty to the greater good.
4. Revenge of the Sith: Utapau
Get yourself a man who can be a ✨Disney Princess ✨
The hood! Boga! A desperate last mission to end the war!
I love him with his hood up, being a sneaky mysterious Jedi. He's basically here to kick ass and be hot. Grievous doesn't know what's coming.
There's something about how good he is with animals that speaks to the quiet gentleness that's deep in Obi-Wan's soul. He may have little patience, and be a sass master, and as snippy as Ahsoka on her worst days but at his core he's a Jedi.
3. Attack of the Clones: Battle of Geonosis
YES, BITCH, WORK IT!
The badass snarly stab scene from Attack of the Clones lives in my head rent-free, 24/7, 365 days a year.
He's peak badass Obi-Wan here, tapping into that energy and viciousness which makes him a cunning warrior and general the Separatists learn to fear. This is the Sith Slayer in action and I love it.
The sex appeal is strong and it comes from the danger factor 💯💯💯
2. Attack of the Clones: Lost A Planet
This may actually be Obi-Wan's prettiest scene. Period. The screencap doesn't do it justice, go find one of the many pretty gifs of this scene to appreciate it's full majesty.
I don't even like mullets! How has he done this to me?
The planets floating around him like sparkles and stars just highlight how gorgeous Ewan McGregor is. How dare they film this scene like this, like he belongs in the cosmos and is home amongst planets and nebula like its second nature?
Anakin may be the son of the Force, but Obi-Wan is the Force's blorbo (that it loves to torment).
1. ROTS: Post Invisible Hand Crash
"This is how gays flirt." - my girlfriend
She's right. The cocked hip, the hand on it, the lean and the devilish smirk? He's never been hotter. What a ho!
He's bantering with Anakin, they just had a major victory they somehow bumbled into like a pair of disasters that they are and the war looks like it might be turning in their favour! He's just managed to dodge dealing with politicians by making Anakin do it. He's cheeky and sassy and having a good time. I love that for him.
Everything about this is so gorgeous and glorious. He's happy, do you know how rare that is in star wars? This man was made to suffer and his joy and love just shine all the brighter for it.

I really enjoy the stories you write so I thought I'd ask for some suggestions :)
Do you know any good fanfics in the PT/OT era that have focus on Anakin/Vader without Ahsoka as his Padawan or Leia as his daughter? Or even if these relationships are present, they are more in the background (eg. Leia's heritage is still secret or Ahsoka is still gone).
I just find it very hard to see movie Anakin with Ahsoka since he's not her skyguy. His personality gets muddled with Tcw Anakin in a lot of fanfics. As for Leia, I prefer stories where the focus is the father son relationship with Luke.
But most of regularly updated and better stories always tend to have Ahsoka and Leia featured. Do you have any recs?
Yeah, I've read a number of fanfics that focus on Anakin/Vader or on him, Padme, Obi-Wan, and/or Luke, without including much with Ahsoka or Ahsoka. :)
I haven't read that one yet, but I heard that Ahsoka is only around briefly. It focuses primarily on Anakin/Vader in a universe where the Jedi send him back to Tatooine and he ends up joining a slave revolution.
That's a duology which is, in my opinion, one of the best fanfics ever written. It focuses primarily on Anakin/Vader and Obi-Wan in a universe where all Force-sensitives (if I remember right) see a vision of the future towards the beginning of ROTS. Ahsoka is around very briefly as a cameo, but Anakin and Obi-Wan is the main focus.
This is very Vader-Luke centric, even if Leia is around a little bit in the background. Luke grows up on the streets of Tatooine, and Vader finds him when he's 15. It's a very long series, but it's definitely well worth the read.
(PS. It's not done yet. :)
