also by that definition this site itself is "media consumption" which creates a funny world where you're mad ppl do media consumption on the media consumption site that is itself media consumption by your own words. Okayyyy

#🐾#i don't actually care about this i've always found the whole thing really silly and childish to be honest #and like idk holier than thou. i understand anti intellectualism and ppl claiming fanfic = books and poor reading comprehension or analysis #etc etc is all connected but i don't think being a massive jerk is going to help anyone except maybe make yourself feel better. which isn't #very nice is it #i love media consumption im chomping itttt blah blah blah i crazy now IDGAF #also the implications are so weird yes i think hobbies outside of what this site tends to constitute as media ie fandom / watching stuff #is good for u in a lot of ways esp if ur feeling disconnected or listless or just would like to do it #but the way it's moralised is insane. you're a bad person bc ur only hobby is ... doing something you enjoy ??
