When Did I Start Shipping Them? Soooo I actually read the fanfiction for this pairing before I watched the show, and I never watched more than a season of the actual TV show. I shipped it basically 80% from tumblr content and 20% from the actual show. Peak trashy fangirl behavior. Why Do I Ship Them? I mean,,,, their first interaction??? Hello??? They're a classic bromance that completes each other but also is all sassy with each other in that 2010s TV way, and I'm always weak for that dynamic.

Favourite Fanfiction Tropes/Staples? These days I really love Merlin fanart more than the fanfiction, BUT I really enjoyed modern AUs back in the day. There were also some AUs where Merlin was a spy for a rival kingdom and there was extra drama between them and that was also very tasty.

so i have to admit, allllll the 911 buddie gifs have me severely interested in this show, but like, are there great stories to this show other than a couple that probably wont be? or do we think murphy will actually make this happen.. or should i just stick to gifs? lol

Hi, Billy! I know you've been following me for a long time, and I really don't wanna be rude, but these kind of messages always rub me the wrong way.

I would never watch a show - any show - purely for one ship. I would never sit through scenes with other characters I didn't care about, just waiting for my ship to appear on screen again. I know many people did that with Teen Wolf, and I got really tired of how much people complained. I don’t see how anyone can be happy with that kind of watching experience. It sounds really depressing.

I wouldn't call 911 my new favorite show if I didn't truly love it. If it didn't make me laugh and cry and make me think about life as much as it does. It if didn’t have me falling love with every single character. This show is SO much more than the Buddie ship, even though their canon relationship is a big part of the show. It’s beautiful as it is, making me go fucking insane sometimes with how much love there’s between these two men. But. That’s not the whole show. 

I’m not gonna try and convince you or anyone else to watch this show if you don’t think it’s your cup of tea. You’re gonna have to decide that for yourself! All I can say is that, yeah, I fucking adore this show, even without Buddie being canon as of right now. And I’m just a little bit tired of people jumping on new ships and complaining about every single minute they’re not on screen. I’m tired of wanting to see content for my favorite show only to see a big chunk of the fandom hate on a character I love.

Again, I don’t want to be rude. But I really don’t enjoy getting these kind of messages. And I'm publishing this for other people following me who I’m sure are wondering the same thing.
