I hope Ingemar Patrick Linden, a dude who apparently thinks accepting death as a natural part of the world is bad and it's a good thing and "counterculture" to endlessly chase youth and immortality for oneself despite the fact that it's literally fucking impossible, and who read Lord of the Rings (supposedly) and thought the message was "science and progress are Bad" instead of, you know, Absolute Power Corrupts Everyone and Everything It Touches, has a very, VERY bad week.
#read a section of his book ''The Case Against Death'' and now I'm pissed#like I totally get that growing old sucks in our modern world!! everything hurts and no one takes you seriously!!#but that's a SOCIETY thing. being immortal and eternally youthful won't fix society.#also if anyone has read that book please tell me what he says about gatekeeping youth/immortality and how he thinks that'd be addressed#because he has the vibe of someone who thinks once people gain Absolute Power they're cool with sharing it and uhhhhh#no!!! people with power Do Not like sharing!!! congrats dude you are advocating for a society where a very small selection of ppl are elves#and the rest are even further reduced in personhood!!!!!!#I SHOULD BE ASLEEP BUT INSTEAD I'M MAD AT A PHILOSOPHER FROM NEW YORK#anyway death and aging are morally neutral and anyone who says otherwise wants your money
