no i got that actually. within the first half hour. and then there were two and a half more hours.
#the psychiatrist writes ''guilty'' in his notepad in literally the first scene of the film#the themes are not subtle#the payoff (the reveal of [redacted] in the attic) garnered zero reaction from me#nice symbolism you got there. anyway.#on a technical level it was great#and individual scenes could be really poignant and powerful#but taken in its entirety it actually feels really repetitive because it's just reiterating these same themes for three entire hours#as an odyssey it does work. it does. but the reasons why it works are also why as a film you're sitting there waiting for beau to catch up#the narrative works but the experience of watching it feels so unrewarding i'm like this could've been an email#anyway tl;dr i geeeet iiiittt okay i just did not like it
