no offense but the way people on this site get so snarky and rude over every little misunderstanding or mistake, or over people who are not acting in bad-faith yet who they perceive as being annoying is exhausting

#don't get me wrong there are situations where I completely understand that sort of response. say someone is actively being a shithead #(at the same time they aren't worth the effort and it's better to just block people who are purposefully trying to start shit)#and I'm not trying to police the way anyone feels #but I think we'd have more productive and good-faith conversations if even the most un-controversial matters weren't littered with snark #and sure yknow snappy comebacks are funny. they get likes and reblogs. controversy gets the most engagement #but sometimes I'll see a post where someone misunderstands something or maybe a common misconception is floating around #and you'll get all of these unnecessarily rude posts where people will say shit like ''you guys are so stupid''#or ''I can't believe people fell for this you're all so dumb''#or maybe I'm just sensitive idk. I don't expect to change anyone's minds or prevent people from doing what they do #I know I'm not immune to that sort of content #but it's exhausting sometimes. this post is really just about one specific thing I won't get into #I feel like I need to keep making clarifications to try and fend off discourse before/if it even happens #but I doubt anyone's even reading this far or taking me seriously rip #Gabeposting #maybe delete later idk #ok to interact with (unless you're going to start something in which case I got my block button)
