sorry there's actually something so tragic to me that once upon a time really didn't give us like, genuine bonding between emma and regina between a few episodes and we just had to fill it in for ourselves. these are two women who have gone through immense amounts of trauma. regina specifically, who (at least before s4) tries so, so hard to be good and never thinks she'll get a happy ending or that she's even allowed to be happy for more than moment, or it'll all be taken away from her.

i'm sure there's more to this that i can say but im tired

#this isn't even in like a swan queen way #and season 4 does a really good job (so does s3) of putting them together and making them WORK #but regina wants to be loved so so badly. like she'll make a curse to fake love #but she was genuine human connection so badly and it just AGH #im so emo over a show that ended (badly) five years ago #i never watched season 7 so.#i am a regina mills apologist she was my original number one #ugh anyways #regina mills #ouat #don't listen to me im rewatching ouat and having feels about it
