I used to be a huge Neil G. fan lmao and since the first revelations about him came out, I've been thinking about the time I met him at a book signing as a teenager (in the late 90s, together with Terry P.). I got a creepy vibe from him just from that brief interaction. But back then I thought I was being stupid for instinctively rolling my eyes at my fave author just because he complimented me. (He said my name was pretty or something quite harmless like that, but it somehow gave me the ick nevertheless. Maybe because I'd been around other creeps, and he reminded me of them on an instinctual level, who knows.) I still adored his books and kept reading them.

I filtered his name years ago on tumblr because him and his fans here were insufferable to me lol ... But I can't in any way be smug or say "I saw that coming lolz", because this is all absolutely disgusting and horrifying beyond compare.

I have friends who are/used to be Amanda P. fans, so I listened to one of her albums once, and she had the most stupid ass song about/inspired by Berlin that made me cringe extremely hard. But so do many, many artists who are not such creeps and are not married to horrific rapists ...

It's a sad fact that abusers hide who they are extremely well, and they groom not just victims but especially a web of supporters.

Anyway, I just hope his victims are okay ... Jfc what a horrible creep.
