Fellow Americans, Kelly Jensen at Book Riot has very kindly compiled a list of all the people endorsed in US school board elections tomorrow by the hate group Mom's for Liberty. PLEASE make sure you vote tomorrow so none of these book banners and potential domestic terrorists make it into office (and also do your due diligence with the rest of your ballot; this is a great place to start but just because they aren't endorsed my Moms for Liberty doesn't mean they don't subscribe to their agenda--we have 3 extreme book banners and a literal nazi on our ballot who aren't on this list):

#american politics #current events #if you aren't familiar with them Moms for Liberty has been classed a hate group by the US govt #members frequently threaten to bomb children's story time at public libraries to “save” the kids #I'm not sure at this point if the FBI has charged any of their members for calling in actual bomb threats #but I'm sure it's only a matter of time #and if you're like 'allison what are you talking about'#I'd invite you to look into the meteroic rise in bomb threats recieved by public libraries in the past year #but moms for liberty's purpose is book bans; they're fueling the vast majority of them--very like a troll farm #they provide you a script and a list of books and assure you you don't even have to have kids or live in the district or have read the books #they don't think non-white non-het non-cis people should exist and are attempting to force school libraries to reflect this view
