y'know part of the reason why i feel so... meh about act 3 of bee gee three is that it doesn't really feel like a third act, i mean you're still picking up companions (and they have a long ass recruitment quest too dgmw i love minsc but come on), you pretty much just now meet 2 of your main antagonists so only now does your relationship really start with them, you get a bunch of new scavenger hunt type quests which... y'know would be fine if they didn't start at a point in the story where the main focus should be wrapping shit up, etc etc
#hablaty#bee gee three posting#like i just thought back to how pillars 1 had its third act play out#and just y'know the moment you set foot in the last hub area - twin elms#you get hit with this immense sense that you're nearing the end of the of the story and it's a very bittersweet tone to start the final act#but it's also the appropriate one#with bee gee three i don't really get this sense ever#except for maybe when we get near the pool where you start the final quest which... yeah obviously#but like... idk it's hard to explain twin elms hits a lot harder vibe wise than b*ldur's g*te that's the tl;dr#which is funny considering one of these places is the damned title location
