on the other hand.... even though jiggy is a great villain, i came out of the reread liking him even less as a character, even before reading the villainous friends extra.

mxtx goes out of pov to factually state some people's motives even without excusing them at all, like su she trying to hit the xuanwu to 'save face', or jiang cheng stopping his defense of wen ning 'because nmj reminded him of the wens destroying his home'

but with jiggy we get NOTHING except what he says, and what he says is always worthless as a measure of the truth.
