Tired: Cyberpunk fiction describe having cyberware and body modifications tearing away the essence of your soul or driving you inevitably toward madness as it alienates you from yourself and all of humanity.
Wired: Cyberpunk fiction describing cyberware and body modifications as THE MOST human thing possible, as it is a human thing to modify ourselves and the world around us for any number of reasons, but pointing out that we live in a system where the people who need these the most are the ones who can least afford them.
Hey, chummer, check out my cyberarm. I got it after I lost my arm at my extremely dangerous job site that only exists as it does because the corpos have either ruined government oversight or outright act independently as its own government and therefore have no safety regulations. So I got this cyberarm because I'll lose my job without it and have to constantly pay for maintenance and repairs (because it's almost entirely non-user serviceable) and expensive anti-rejection drugs. I sure do hope this model continues to be supported by the manufacturer for at least a decent amount of time and that the supply chain for my meds is constant! Otherwise I'm up shit creek! But all that's fine! The real problem is that I feel like I've lost an essential part of my soul...

Editorial: Ten Games for New Switch Owners-- REAL OTAKU GAMER-- Genuine Otaku Gamer is your source for Geek Culture Goodness
Tumblr media
With Christmas time, comes gift giving. A lot of those gifts will have been of a Nintendo Switch and games, but what follows? The obvious video games like Smash, Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild, here are tengames to examine out on Switch if you are a new owners.
Axiom Edge
Axiom Verge is the finest Metroid game Nintendo never made. Not just does it perfectly capture the spirit of the series, but it handles to go further than 2D Metroid video game Nintendo themselves have made, including the recent remake of Metroid 2. Ingenious game design, unique products, challenging employer fights and remarkable music combine to provide a really unforgettable experience. Whether you are a fan of the timeless series, or similar to the design of gameplay, you will stroll away pleased after playing this.
Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Load
I am doing these 2 games entries in one go, due to the fact that of their obvious inspiration
Mega Man 11 may be out on Change in addition to collections of the timeless Mega Male games and the X series, but for those who want more like it, 20XX and Azure Strike Gunvolt are what you want. Both are the top of the food cycle when it comes to video games motivated by Mega Guy but take things in various directions. 20XX is a rougelike inspired by the X series, has several lead characters and needs multiple playthroughs of everchanging levels. There are multiple characters to pick from and multiple ways a level can play out depending upon how it is produced. Making powerups is various here however no less rewarding and you need to be more strategic as well.
Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Load on Change is in fact a collection of the first 2 games in the series revamped for the system and in HD. These games are influenced by the Mega Guy Zero series (being made by the very same team even) and are very real to that series, being tough and story based. Inti Developed offered us a polished experience and if I might be truthful, this feels more like an evolution of the Mega Man series than Mega Man 11 did.
Dead Cells
Dead Cells is a Rougelike Metroidvania. That may appear like an odd choice of genres to blend, however the outcome was spectacular. The action is extreme and reminiscent of Dark Souls (albeit as a 2D game), and the goal of always getting a bit further works well in a non linear setting. Selecting your attack style, combating opponents and epic employers, and looking for tricks are all part of the video game, in addition to a nice dosage of dark humor. Finding new powerups will let you find brand-new paths to go down, and the game quickly becomes a growing number of interesting as you go on.
Beat em ups are remarkable as I said above. But while the Capcom beat em up package is composed of the fantastic beat em ups of the past, 99Vidas is a beat em up for the modern age. Based upon a Brazilian video gaming podcast, 99Vidas is a throwback to video games like Streets of Rage in addition to the recent Scott Pilgrim vs The World The Video game. Both a fantastic looking game, along with a surprisingly deep fighter, 99Vidas is perfect for those that want a contemporary take on the brawler category,
Cosmic Star Heroine
There are numerous RPGs on Change, but one that must have your attention is Cosmic Star Heroine. Made by the developers of Cthulhu Conserves the World, CSH is a throwback to the period of 16 bit JRPGs like Phantasy Star and Lunar on the Sega CD, however has some cool brand-new ideas. Games Like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Octopath Traveler are remarkable, but Cosmic Star Heroine shouldn't be ignored. An innovative battle system, engaging cyberpunk themed story and terrific music and art make the video game a hidden gem that should not be hidden.
Diablo III
Diablo III doesn't require much introduction. The game is one of the best action RPGs around and there are couple of that can match the level of polish here. The Change variation can be taken on the go. To quote my review "Diablo III looks absolutely fantastic on the Switch, in both portable and docked mode and I was amazed by how well the video game was ported. It seems like absolutely nothing was lost except for some graphical fidelity that the majority of will not notice. Fight feels natural and I rapidly entered the groove and discovered myself playing till the battery drained pipes.
The Switch version features some neat bonus offers, such as a Ganondorf transmogrification set, that lets you transform your equipment to make yourself look like the king of Evil. This will appear in the stash when starting the video game, along with an item that will let you use amiibo. Using the amiibo will summon enemies to assault you and drop additional loot. I gained one famous weapon this method, which assisted me out a lot. There was also a Cucco family pet, in addition to other family pets that are offered in all versions. This variation also lets you start in Experience mode immediately, in case you don't wish to have to play through the story again."
This is just a well done port made better by the Switch
Puyo Puyo Tetris
Puzzle games are the lifeblood of video gaming whether or not we recognize it. They can appeal to more audiences than any other genre and have actually played a significant role in assisting systems be successful. An example of this was Tetris as a launch title for the original GameBoy, and it is for that reason fitting to mention Puyo Tetris here. A crossover between the two series, the video game has plenty of material that will make any puzzle fan pleased. You can play a story mode, a Puyo Mode, a Tetris Mode or a hybrid Puyo Tetris Mode. Multiplayer and Online play are included and overall, this is the ideal video game to play if you need to inhabit yourself for a couple of minutes.
To when again estimate my evaluation of a video game"I was thrilled for the port of DOOM from the beginning but was fretted about how it would carry out. The Switch is not as powerful as the PS4 and Xbox One, not to mention high-end PCs, so there was factor to fret. However, I am happy to state that the video game shows what I said at the very start: Nintendo Switch accomplishes things believed to be difficult. DOOM is a technical marvel on the Change, both in docked and portable mode. While sacrifices have been made to ensure optimum performance, the video game is still here and still feels as fast paced and smooth as ever. It may be half the FPS of the other variations, but still retains the feel of strength."
For those who desire an incredible FPS game, DOOM is the method to go. Updates have brought gyro controls and other optimizations to enhance the experience and the multiplayer is among the very best for Change. This is one that need to definitely be on your radar.
Ys 8
The Ys series is a legendary one and its debut on Switch was nothing brief of incredible.
When once again I will quote my review." Ys video games are understood for fantastic action and great music, and Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana continues that custom remarkably. The game brings with it a number of new developments in regards to fight to keep things fresh and the result is an action RPG on par with the leading action video games. New dodge and responses mechanics bring a brand-new way of approaching battle that makes this game more involving than the previous entries, and while they take a while to get utilized to, they actually do make the experience fulfilling."
The game is an excellent option for individuals who desire a Zelda like game but not Breath of The Wild, along with those that desire a terrific action RPG. With a few of the best music in the series and a really engaging story, Ys VIII sticks out as the best in the series hence far and a worthwhile game for any Change library.
There you go. Will you examine out any of these, and if so which ones? Let us understand!
