imagine thinking that the founder and former owner of an art website committing relatively small-scale, yet still serious embezzlement with donation funds whose userbase is close to the source and thus can have meaningful input is in any way comparable in actionability to some of the most financially and politically untouchable people on earth whose entire careers are owed to the abuse and exploitation of working classes who have to fight tooth and nail en masse in years long legal battles for their basic rights to be recognized while said CEO continues to make more money per minute than any one of those people do in an entire year, and that this only happens because the average citizen just isn't angry enough about Real Issues™

#this is about art fight btw if anyone was wondering #owner and founder takaia siphoned donations meant to be used for site improvement into her own personal funds #while the site continued to stagnate #dozens of mods and staff members left in the ensuing meltdown when this came to light #no transparency was ever given that people's donations would serve as additional payment for the owner #she has since been demoted rather than kicked off the team and zero transparency has been given regarding where that money actually went #the site is under new ownership while staff dubiously claims that no embezzlement was committed #meanwhile takaia admitted over discord to pocketing around $24k #she claims she was supporting herself on top of her below-minimum $12/hr wage she was being legally paid #but it's alleged she was blowing money on gacha so who fucking knows
