Yuck. I was trying to explain the actual ideas behind transandrophobia to someone who already has a poor idea of it & their response was that the guy who coined it was a transmisogynist so it can’t be removed from that history. I asked them for proof & they sent me a Google Doc of a callout post.

I open it only to find a) it’s not the person who came up with the ideas behind it, again it’s just the person who changed it from transmisandry to transandrophobia like people were asking transmascs to do, & b) their evidence was that he has a detrans kink that he engages in consensually & appropriately about both trans men & women. A core piece of evidence for him being a bad person was his fucking BDSM test results.

Why do the transfems in these circles recognize that it’s fucked up to use a trans woman’s sexuality against her, but not apply that when it comes to a trans man? I feel like I have an idea :/

Guys please stop projecting slurs into acronyms that are in other languages, please. Yes, A/B/O without the slashes is a slur in australian english and a lot of people in Canadá and USA also know its a slur so we like, write it with the slashes or simply say "omegaverse" (which I highly prefer). But the acronym is *not* a slur when Chinese people apply it to their fics or their fic's summaries or anywhere else. It's the same as CP. In English? Bad, bad acronym. In Chinese fan-spheres? It fucking means CouPle. Do not fucking apply for tag wranglers on AO3 if y'all gonna project meanings that don't belong to other cultures/languages words or acronyms. Damn, it's been like two years. Don't these people get tired of hyper-obsessing over some stranger's private sexual fantasies?

Anyway, yeah, I have. There's a ton of history there, but the abbreviated takeaways are:

This started as a transphobic harassment campaign. Point blank. The reason any of this came up in the first place is because Saint coined the term "transandrophobia", and bifey, who already had a history of trying to decry the term and any claim transmascs made to unique experiences with transphobia, went and dug shit up to try to discredit and silence anyone using the term.

Bifey does identify as transmasc (or did, at the time- you can check their blog about it, it's honestly not super healthy for me to be digging around there). This doesn't make them immune to transandrophobic ideas. They claim it does.

Bifey also has a history of aphobia/ace-exclusionism (again, search their blog for "ace" about it, I'm not digging around).

Bifey also wrote a detailed violence/murder fantasy about me & posted that publicly.

This kickstarted a harassment campaign targeting any transmasculine person who so much as reblogged from Saint, reblogged posts by Saint, or even used the word "transandrophobia".

This harassment campaign has also targeted transfems who stand with us, and even gone so far as to claim those transfems are "faking" their identities without anything approaching evidence.

It continued without any acknowledgement from me for three entire months, and only died down (for me, specifically) about a year and a half later. But I still receive, and see, asks from "concerned anons" (and open hate anons) about it. Over two years later.

The people who took up the mantle on this harassment campaign openly and knowingly associate with Baeddels. Which is an ideology derived from radical feminism, and which imploded because the ringleader raped a transfem and her lackeys sided with the rapist (also in that link).

These people also have a history of starting harassment campaigns against anyone who disagrees with them, and of making shit up in order to fuel them.

So okay, all that aside: let's talk about the accusations themselves.

First: the "callout" itself contains screenshots of Saint apologizing for and correcting the behavior that originated the claim that he is "anti-black". The issue in question was the use of the tag "#a/b/o" without slashes, as a common shorthand for "omegaverse", which also happens to be a slur against aboriginal people in Australia that Saint was not aware of.

The other claims are all about Saint's activity on a private, password-protected kink roleplay blog. I honestly have no idea how Bifey gained access to that, or why they spent so much time combing through it. Regardless, publicizing that information against Saint's consent, and especially tracking people Saint knows down to "inform" them of those sexual fantasies, is, plainly, sexual harassment.

Saint did not engage in anything illegal or non-consensual. Nothing he did involves anyone underage, or anyone who did not explicitly consent to being involved.

Nothing else here actually matters, but: some of the kinks presented as "evidence" that he is bigoted are also not his own, and were engaged with at the request of, and exclusive benefit for, Saint's partners- themselves members of the "targeted" groups.

Nobody should have their private sexual fantasies blasted out publicly to everyone who ever interacts with them, and certainly not thrown in the face of everyone who ever uses a fucking word they created; people who may not even know they exist until presented with this "evidence" of their "sexual degeneracy" or whatever.

It's sexual harassment, plain and simple.

That it is also sexual harassment rooted in bigotry, from people with a track record of baseless claims, harassment campaigns, and open violent fantasies, only makes this whole thing- and anon's participation in it- more plainly baseless and, frankly, fucking evil.

Hey so just a psa! A pal recently mentioned that saying a/b/o without the slashes is a slur against aboriginal Australians, which I had no clue about. So! With this new knoweldge going forward I'll refer to it either as a/b/o or omegaverse! Apologies if I had offended anyone I didn't know, but from here on out I'll be sure to use and tag the words properly :)
