sevina 'evengan - “pretty boy”
Adjectives will always take an a when attaching to the noun they describe. This is because word order in Na'vi is very flexible and the adjective can come on either side of the noun, so the a needs to be there to “point at” which noun it’s describing (so you could also say 'evengan asevin instead, it’s the exact same thing).
You will also never see G as a standalone letter in (forest) Na'vi! It ONLY shows up as part of the ng digraph (digraph=two letters used to represent one sound, like th or sh or ch in English), so you can’t separate the N and the G in 'evengan (it’s 'e-veng-an, not 'e-ven-gan).
If you want to combine the words to make a nickname, you could call him Sevingan (se-vi-ngan or se-ving-an), but you’d have to drop the tìftang (apostrophe thing). Even if G was allowed as a standalone consonant, tìftang can’t cluster with other consonants like that 🙂
LOOK AT HIM HES A CUTIE PATOOTIE
#also worth noting that 'evengan comes from 'eveng (meaning “child") + masculine suffix -an#so literally “male child”#which I guess is what you were going for because you commented on how young he is without his cummerbund haha#but idk if he’d appreciate being called child hrh 😉#anyways: another mini tangent: X is also not a standalone letter#somewhat common mistake in OC/fanclan names#but in actual Na'vi you will only ever see X in the form of Kx Px and Tx#you’ll never see it separated from K P or T#what it’s doing there is turning those K P and T sounds into their ejective counterparts#just a fun fact 🙂#lì'fya leNa'vi
