DIAAA IDK WHEN YOU’LL COME BACK BUT I MISS U I WANNA LEAVE THIS QUESTIONS IF EVER U COME BACK IM RLLY INTERESTED IN MILA
what scandals did kiara and mila have?
what was mila’s rank or how many times did she go to the ground and what were her performances in iland?
does she have savage moments in iland?
who else knows abt kiara and yeonjun’s relationship?
who else knows about mila and the boys relationship?
does heesung still get nightmares about what he did to mila before? Like kissing w kiara thing?
how would the boys react if ever belift decides to kick mila?
how would the boys react to mila writing brought the heat back?
how would the boys react to mila writing songs for girl groups like ill it and le sserafim?
THAT’S ALL HEHEEHEHE I MISS U DIA!! I LOVE MILANA SO MUCH
HELLAIR NONNIE!! I'M NOT BACK OFFICIALLY UNTIL OCTOBER but i'll be here when i have free time just to answer asks and stuff before logging out again 💗 but ahhh thank you for the questions! i'll try my best to answer them!! lots of love and take care sweetie!! ^^
what scandals did kiara and mila have?
well, in kiara's case, there are mostly scandals regarding her attitude. since she's very blunt and has a general idgaf personality (think soyeon from g idle), she may come across as rude, and people have made a big deal about it in the past (and still do tbh). mila has a similar issue where she has been accused of being a diva in a "everyone do as i say" kinda way. they have a lot more targets on their back bc they're the only girls in a predominantly male group, so lots of people make things up about them and there have been a few "scandals" made by solo stans of the boys, or even solo stans of the girls turning on the other female member. thankfully nothing on the severity that causes them to be put on hiatus though.
what was mila’s rank or how many times did she go to the ground and what were her performances in iland?
MINOR SPOILER ALERT! hmmmmm it was different in the old version, but in the new version, she goes to ground once. she ranks low in the final voting for a variety of reasons, but she was mostly ranked pretty highly in global voting, and even producer ranking in part 2 if that makes sense.
does she have savage moments in iland?
at this point and stage, she's still yet to display that side of hers, but she does have minor savage comments here and there--unintentionally, which makes it even funnier--but even those are just teasing and not really "ooooh" worthy.
who else knows abt kiara and yeonjun’s relationship?
their families, txt, enha, their staff, and bang-pd, and a few select friends of kiara, including gaeul from ive and somi. (though they go public in the future, hehe.)
who else knows about mila and the boys relationship?
in the new version of events, a few more people, since in this version, poly relationships are a bit more commonplace. but still not many ppl outside of enha, txt, enha's families, relevant staff, and an oc character and her two partners (who you get to meet in the revamped rmu series.)
does heesung still get nightmares about what he did to mila before? Like kissing w kiara thing?
again, this depends: in the old version, sometimes (though atp they would have moved on from that phase, since it has been a few years.) but in the new version, it doesn't happen, so in that case, no.
how would the boys react if ever belift decides to kick mila?
angry, ofc. but in the new version, i've made a way for them to be able to survive if they decide to leave, namely in the form of a particular oc that i've mentioned in one of my previous answers since she is a good friend and supporter of enha and mila, and forms her own company.
how would the boys react to mila writing brought the heat back?
they would probably tease her a lot, since it's a song to do with jealousy, and they'd ask if it was inspired by them and stuff like that. typical enha behviour really. (tho ofc they're always proud.) XD
how would the boys react to mila writing songs for girl groups like ill it and le sserafim?
same as above really. proud, but teasing depending on the lyrics. and if they promote those songs a lot by doing challenges repeatedly, then that's their own business XD

i don't create a kosher kitchen or avoid chametz for passover
i live an inclusive life i share most of my resources time and spaces w other people and they aren't kosher or know what chametz is
i'd rather just read about the passover story on passover and observe awareness of the story
i can keep kosher to a certain level but like unless i lived and existed in a jewish only community or just was alone all the time there's literally no way for me to successfully perform the tradition correctly. it's not possible.
and i don't think religion is worth changing things abt my life like being socially focused and working w the public and being out in shared spaces and environments all the time.
i can only observe it to the point where it can fit into my daily life if it doesn't i modify the practice or observance of it and if anyone dislikes that i dislike them
and i don't believe in Kareth. If Hashem is real and connected to a person, Hashem should exist with you if you break a rule or not.
like how many traditions and rules have been written using god as a front to make ppl obey it. if hashem is this other dimensionly being that exists outside the mundane physical earth realm i don't think hashem would actually give a fuck if you ate bread or drank a pepsi zero. some things i think ppl do just to feel alive or like they have something they can do with other people.
i like leaving fruit out for sukkot cause i super fuck w that holiday.
passover tho like, i can read about what happened and absorb the information. i don't get what my stomach today has to do with their situation back then, because it doesn't have anything to do w it. :|
i'm abt that symbolic sh!t like lighting candles, that's cool. but i'ma eat my fucking breadrolls and i'm not gonna endure kareth.
nobody is going to endure kareth. any religious text that says you'll be punished eternally for not being good enough at something or doing something right, that's abusive. and if it rlly does work that way i know how to throw hands and tussle if i wake up in the fiery depths of a fucked up shouldn't be real law.
i think god is a dramatic such a fucking dramatic entity. if someone told me i have to act a specific way or my life will be cursed and i will suffer endless consequences i would beat the fuck out of them.
but that's why i always fucked w Lilith more anyways 🤷🏻‍♀️
i don't even think hashem is the main character of judaism i just think they're the fucking loudest one
bro thinks so too that's why they always like "oh don't seek out other entities besides me i only want u 2 like me and listen 2 me 👉🏼👈🏼" girl so ur admitting there are other relevant entities in the conversation let's open the doors set some seats out and work together why u so scared 4
TLDR i think i'm slowly overtime developing a type of judaism that is congruent w being in shared spaces and in public 24/7 cause as much as i appreciate jewry um
i can't stop my life for a mid tradition and i'm not going to unless it serves a rlly significant purpose
i am witchly i believe a lot of the stories from ancient history's past have also been misinterpreted for centuries
i've done spells before where in exchange for one thing i abstained from a different thing and they have basically worked
i think in the particular situation where communities were trying to flee and escape and asked hashem for divine power to enable the journey, i think something metaphysical had to occur to get that wheel turning and get them free.
but i'm not trying to do anything metaphysical on passover i'm probably on my computer doing work and chilling.
like they had to do what they had to do to get what they needed done, done. and it worked. but thousands of years later i just don't get why i would have to repeat the ritual. we're not stuck in that situation anymore. we can relax now. ?? sheesh if i have to flee a king that's forcibly holding my family hostage i'll do whatever divine hexing bullsh!t i have to do in that scenario but on passover this year i am just chilling on my computer.
i ain't omitting chametz curse me idgaf
technically a rabbi might choose to exempt me because i have a digestive disease and also autism so changing the foods i've decided are safe to eat could cause a medical crisis for me
but even if that was not the case i just don't fuck w Kareth. people should uphold the traditions and values that they resonate with.

KAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tumblr media
SO FIRST OFF i dont do clickbait and im gonna tell u abt the live flower vs the paper flower :3 but first u need to udnerstand other parts of the song, specifically the note in the first verse. "in a note i read: if you should go blind and deaf, i'll cleanse and i'll bathe you and i'll cook for you daily." hes making a comparison to religion, and how dependant people are on their god, that they will go into life blind because they're putting all of their trust into one singular thing. thats why he doesn't want that in his relationship, because he doesn't want it with god, and this is further proved in the next line, "i will take a dry ballpoint pen and trace on your chest all of the same conversations that we have now in bed.," which is a 100% ineffecient form of communication- like prayer, right? even if there's a message, it's never clear, it's never direct, and it cant be deciphered without trust. u just have to trust that its there and that it is what she says it is. WHICH!! is further reference to how "everytime that i kiss her she feels her god breathe on her shoulder. it pains me but im sure she's still yours" because even tho she allegedly "turned her back on the church and put all her faith in me" she's still mimicing her previous relationship with god, which is literally everything that christianity strives for: mimicing god as closely as possible.
so what does this have to do with the flowers? well, u see them in similar parts of the song in terms of what hes saying:
"behind the tennis court alongside the river / not a single live flower to see"
and "behind the tennis court alongside the river / paper flower's still a beautiful thing"
its implied throughout the song that he works at a cemetery- also cuz im pretty sure gareth DID work at one lol- so when he says "not a single live flower to see" it could be both figurative AND literal. there are only dead things in cemeteries. even the people visiting are mourning so much they could be represented by a wilting flower. and, it could be interpreted literally, because when people die, their loved ones bring flowers to their graves, and there is no one to tend to them- they die. most of all, though, death implies that there was life to begin with
then, the paper flower. it cannot die, because it never lived. there can never be tragedy, and there can never be life, but its still a beautiful thing.
AND IT SYMBOLIZES THE DEVOTION. BECAUSE HIS PAPER FLOWER (the girl in the song) ISNT THE SAME AS A GOD BUT ITS BETTER FOR HIM TO BELIEVE IN SOMETHING FAKE THAN REAL BECAUSE IF ITS REAL, ITLL HURT. IF YOU GIVE TOO MUHC OF YOURSELF INTO SOMETHING YOULL SUFFER FOR IT BECAUSE NO MATTER HOW SAFE IT MAKES YOU, IT HAS THE POWER TO BREAK YOU. WITH DEATH COMES THE IMPLICATION OF LIFE AND VICE VERSA. THE PAPER FLOWER CAN NEVER BE TRAGIC AND IT CAN NEVER BE ALIVE. CAN ANYONE HEAR ME.
this next bit isnt about the flowers but i wanted to mention it anyway cuz i think its interesting: the line
"this is the one girl who woke up from all that and now falls asleep next to me"
because its just so interesting how her being "woken up" is her falling asleep. like some divine revelation isnt revelation at all but turning a blind eye. does that make sense. AND ONE LAST THING!
"but i think id sooner just be dead"
reminds me of two lines from in media res:
"if you were given the option of dying painlessely at peace at forty-five, but with a lover at your side, after a full and happy life- is this something that would interest you? would this interest you at all?"
and "and i would sooner go down in a ball of flames/then i would lay here and be bored to death" (u can hear it more clearly in the alls well that ends version but its in the og too, just covered by a bunch of distortion and effects)
idk. thought they were relevant
u ever think abt the religious symbolism of the live flower vs the paper flower in who fell asleep in

hi caden. do you have any thoughts abt roman’s clothes & how they’re relevant to his self image/desire to be seen yet disappear etc? the sort of tightness of his shirts and trousers always seemed to me to be a representation of his repression? and also a way to show off his ‘medieval starving girl’ physique because it gets him closer to ‘god’, and yet the way his posture is always so unsure and he flits about constantly portrays his insecurity about his body and his sense of self? idk if this is making any sense i’ve just woken up lmao
hi dee💕💕 yeah i think roman's clothes and physicality tell us a lot about how he sees himself, his place in the family, and his fundamental drives as a character
most clearly, his clothes are uncomfortable and constraining. you can see how they don't move with him and always seem about to bust a seam or strangle him. they're also not particularly daring, fashion-wise---lots of simple button-downs and tight trousers, all clearly expensive and tailored but deeply uncomfortable. i kind of think of them as a hairshirt (self-flagellation) but also, like u said, a way of showing off his physique.
this goes along with roman being frequently shot looking in mirrors, as well as his dalliance with the personal trainer and his remarks about his appearance and fuckability. this is part of what drives logan so crazy about him: roman's experience of sex and sexual attraction has a lot to do with how he presents himself to others as an object of desire. his self-objectification is one of his 'feminine' traits, along with his body-checking and restrictive eating and submissiveness. i think his clothes tell us a lot right off the bat about his insecurities (about the size/shape of his body; about not belonging at waystar) and the way he tries to control and display his body in response to those insecurities.
however. the other half of this equation imo is kieran culkin's physical performance. whereas his clothes are acceptably bussinesslike (though too tight), roman's posture is all over the place. he struts, drapes himself over furniture, leans back against the walls, etc. there's a casualness to the way he carries himself that almost no other character on this show achieves, even though roman's constantly dressed in constrictive clothing.
i think an upright posture is socially coded as formal, refined, even 'civilised.' people who are all upright will find their bodies running parallel to one another: not touching, but looking directly at one another (anatomically, humans are not suited to crawl and look forward at the same time: our eyes point down, unless we strain our necks. it's only by standing upright that we can comfortably look forward and survey the rest of the world). roman disrupts all of this by lounging around the set, reaching for other people, placing his body at odd angles to others. i think you can read this as a physical manifestation of his desire to receive love and to connect with others; it also places him at odds with the frigid, no-emotions business world logan runs.
roman never quite fits in physically, not in his clothes and not in the company. he wants to be loved and to be seen, but he wants those things especially from logan. you can see how his tight clothes feminise him in logan's eyes, and his posture and physicality are part of the reason logan thinks of him as a screwball. i find it a little heartbreaking to watch him lol. for all his cynicism, there's a fundamental earnestness to the way he tries to show and gain affection. if he can discipline his body, if he can swan around at this meeting---he doesn't realise it's never going to work and logan's never going to actually respect him.
i think this is especially clever when you compare to kendall's clothes (also tight, but more conservative and usually suits) and physical performance (very stiff, structured, and upright, unlike roman). kendall trying to step into the heir role, vs roman trying to carve out a new place for himself; kendall trying to assert authority, vs roman literally reaching out for others (though both of them care what other people think about them, in different ways). this is a whole second post lol but yeah. i think clothing and posture are both very meaningful and deliberate on this show.

hey i want to start watching dw again after giving up partway through s11 lol. i saw you like s13 a lot better, can i just start there? or is part of s12 relevant? thanks 💕💕 congrats on the sad gay people 💕
ohhh i am probably not the best person to ask for this bc as much as i disliked those first 2 seasons i always choose trudging through stuff so i dont miss anything. however i will try for u sal <3
s11 u can skip the rest of, none of it is rlly relevant to the overall plot (except demons of the punjab bc it's a yaz episode <3 and it's kinda sweet! like still skippable but it's the only one i liked from this season)
s12 is tricky bc the backstory stuff is kinda weird but honestly some of the "filler" episodes were decent. like 4, 6, and 7 i kinda enjoyed but they're skippable. for the plot obviously u can always just read the synopsis and skip the whole season but if u wanna watch some, id say the 2 part opener, ep 5, maybe 8, then 9 & 10 and the christmas special cover it (and tbh they might be worth it just to see sacha dhawan as the master bc hes kinda fun.. like nobody can be as unhinged as simm but he was still plenty unhinged which is essential for playing the master)
s13 is a little shorter bc it was a covid production and it has one overarching plot which you'd think would make it easier to follow but honestly i still dont know entirely what was going on. and i dont rlly care! for me the character writing pretty much makes up for everything else bc for one it finally feels like they're writing and portraying jodie as just another doctor rather than The Girl Doctor, plus the visuals are stepped up a bit imo and the writing brings back some of the silliness and also tragedy that id been missing. like u already know abt the gay people but there truly hasnt been a romance like this since tenrose and i stand by that!! i really wish it hadn't taken them 3 seasons to figure out how to write a decent season for jodie bc i wouldve loved 2 more seasons of whatever theyve got going on here. maybe rtd will fix everything idk
this was probably not all that helpful and i also made it all about s13 but hopefully it all made sense and was a little enlightening

list of fav parts of strange journey so far
commander gore dying like yes <3 serve king. oh wow we get to keep his body when no one else gets the same treatment? this will surely not be plot relevant :)
the dating sim mechanic of me either making new besties, making a public fool of myself, or getting my ass kicked.
i name my characters random shit w/ deeply convoluted logic so i went hm well law is blue and chaos is red. primary colors? yellow? and i settled on primary gold (with a little star) and it's so silly seeing people call this macho military man such a silly name :) hehe
favorite dialogue options in the demon besties mechanic were when one of the girlboss personality demons was like "demon or human girls" and the options were "human, demon, i'm gay" and picking im gay made her attack me viciously. hatecrimes were coded into this game and im for it
in same vein one of the uh, kid personality? ones asked something abt girls idk and was like "women! what do u think of them?" and there was the option to go "i am one" and saying this made him leave without saying anything. i've been trying to get this dialogue again bc i think it's soooo funny this little grassy monkey pokemon is judging me for my human gender. also the character u can unintentionally give this Just Some Guy (who is super good at being in the military)
seeing the blond white woman be the fascist law person and the authority issues latino man be the survival of the fittest chaos guy i think this is a choice that's aged really well <3
i got to the himenez and bugaboo are being tortured scene and the way it's literally just "bro i am standing here" LETTING it happen letting the evil scientist escape. guy who can only answer dialogue choices
ok for real the banter w zelenin and himenez when they're not only arguing is like. cute sometimes. zelenin mimicking him when we think we're close to getting home and him being too happy abt it to sass / thinking it's funny when she cuts loose.
the way zelenin saw horrible torture of her coworkers by demons like full trauma about it: understandable her calling them all evil / "tools" / her torture literally being used to give the angels a chance to swoop in at the last minute and convert her basically / her falling for it so hard in a "demons are evil and humans are untrustworthy :( maybe we should be controlled by a foreign racist deity that is actively seeking power. this could not go wrong": MA'AM!!!!
himenez fusing w/ bugaboo like yes very cool on the other hand again questionable ur making ur dark skinned characters more and more animalistic, on the other the narrative juice of it being like a choice he made out of both compassion and care and also a little bit of perhaps paternalism/self-doubt/insecurity/lust for power. anyway besties 4 lyfe <3
last one, himenez going thru the same medical torture zelenin did (only like. arguably worse? it's unclear how long zelenin was a prisoner/how much she saw, but she wasn't actively personally harmed she just got that good psychological trauam from watching it happen to others), in a direct narrative parallel like wow the cycle of violence is eternal <3 and this having the potential for being a bonding moment only him becoming a demon means zelenin shuts herself off to all contact and investment with him / he himself is on kind of a downward moral slope bc regardless of intent to his decision he has a lot of internalized #Issues regarding power / powerlessness and just. non-nuanced opinions on the use of it shall we say
