okay watched the super mv too, i think i saw someone mention earlier they pretty much put their entire budget into the backup dancers bc like yeah lol that was a performance video not really a traditional mv.

and like i might just be talking out of my ass bc idk anything about choreography or dancing but like... to me it doesn't feel like svt, a group that's really been known for their unique choreographies, has actually been. doing that. you know. making really unique choreographies. and i know it's hard with such a large discography but idk this choreography just somehow feels very samesy as the last few titles, like they use kind of similar. formulas? in their formations and how they break out and come back in and stuff. im not articulating this well but basically it just kinda feels like stuff we've seen before already. and it's really noticeable when it's all in a row like this too

my bias + bias wrecker: soonwonhao bias line, jun and dk bias wreckers. don't let me dwell too much on this or we'd be here all damn day.

first time i heard of them: knew they existed but wasn't an active fan. spider teasers dropped and multiple people told me i'd like it. there is still the amusing story of me listening to spider and, like, having an out of body experience lmao.

when i became a fan: after spider, i checked out the rest of svt. started with their japanese discography on accident. fallin' flower was so good, made me a fan on the spot.

favorite (and least favorite) title track: left and right, don't wanna cry, and fear my belovedest, no one but you can be you. home is the one i listen to the least i guess.

a concept i wished they’d try: as with every bg: magical realism. i know we are all adults now and hone in on love or what-not, but give me adults and magical realism. give me full-on fantasy, actually. i wanna see a set that's loaded with props. i wanna see artistic make-up, i wanna see a fully realized CONCEPT. the more theatrical, the better. mingyu can be shirtless under some low cut jacket either way, so it wouldn't mess with pledis' creative vision.

what i like most about them: the music. is that a dumb answer bc they are, you know, a music group? but the music. it's refreshing, honest, emotional, fun, and they balance more serious songs well with songs that are more easy-going and catchy. i talked about it before but it's damn hard to create songs that are uplifting and optimistic without being corny, but svt is so good at just. i don't know. being honest about stuff that sucks while also creating music about getting out of that, or forgetting about that. warms my cold little heart. on the other hand, their 'darker' and more serious songs are realistically nuanced to the right level of dramatics. they hone in very well on emotions, their performances enhance that on stage perfecty also the fact that it's just 13 random little dudes being a family. warms my heart as well.
