my grandmother passed away in 2019 and my mom was going through her (my mom's not my grandmother's) room and found all the coins my grandmother collected before she passed and apparently she had quarter books for me and my brothers trying to collect all 50 state quarters for each of us and I also used to collect coins so I went through my coin collection and I put in the states I had that she didn't and I completed one collection, one is just missing Arizona, and the third is only missing six states :,)

#I wish I'd known she was doing this when she was alive because we could've finished that one together #but i'm feeling really good about myself because i finished her first coin collection book and i made some good progress in the other two #i'd like to think i can finish those someday too (not that i spend much cash these days)#also thank god it only does the states and not like the coins from Guam and the American Samoa because i hadn't found many of those ones #and i definitely would not have been able to finish the collection if i needed them #i'm keeping the ones i have tho because young me did work so hard to find them #im getting rid of (aka spending) my duplicate quarters that all three books already have #but i'll keep the territories and the national parks and the funky nickels and the old copper pennies #and the variety of canadian coins i have that i think i found most of in an atm at the grocery store one day?#anyways Nannie if you're out there somewhere i finished one of your coin books and I'll finish the others someday <3
