Arrangement Crossed | K.Mg
Pairing: Mingyu x reader
Genre: arrange engagement au
Summary: Mingyu started to enjoy the arrangement between him and you. What should he do?
Why do birds suddenly appear everytime that you near? Just like me i long to be close to you. - Close To You by Carpenters
Mingyu sprinted from his car, heart pounding, as he rushed toward the scene. One of the doctors at the hospital had mentioned that a fire had broken out in a Gangnam district building—your building. His breath was ragged as he pushed through the crowd, his eyes scanning the chaotic scene. Paramedics and firefighters swarmed the area, the flames now subdued, but the remnants of the fire still smoked in the air. A police officer stopped him from moving closer.
"My fiancée lives there," Mingyu gasped, his voice tight with anxiety.
Just as the officer held him back, he spotted you in the distance. You were casually walking, still in your pajamas, holding a half-eaten ice cream cone. Mingyu's eyes widened, watching as your expression changed the moment you took in the sight of your charred apartment building.
"My apartment!" you exclaimed, your voice laced with frustration as Mingyu hurried over to you.
Mingyu quickly examined you, scanning for any signs of injury. A wave of relief washed over him when he realized you had been safely outside while the fire ravaged your home. His tense shoulders relaxed for the first time since hearing the news.
"Where were you?" he asked, still trying to wrap his head around the fact that you seemed so unfazed by the chaos around you.
You blinked, a bit dazed by everything. "I was out for a meal..."
Mingyu glanced at his watch—half and an hour left before his surgery. "I'm glad you're alright. I’ll drive you to my place for now. I’ve got surgery in an hour."
The procedure went smoothly, but exhaustion weighed heavily on him as he sat in his office afterward. All he wanted was to go home and collapse into bed. But he hesitated, remembering that you were now at his apartment. The two of you had never really shared a space before, and the thought made him uneasy. After all, this wasn’t a typical engagement.
A year ago, your families had arranged for you two to be engaged. It was strictly business—a merger of two powerful legacies. Your family owned the hospital where Mingyu worked, while his family operated a successful medical and paramedical equipment company. It made sense for the families to align themselves, and though the proposal had taken him by surprise, Mingyu agreed to the engagement. What really caught him off guard was that you agreed too.
From what Mingyu knew, you ran a small homemade Korean restaurant near Seoul University. It wasn’t a huge enterprise, but it had a loyal customer base thanks to its affordable prices and excellent food. When news of the engagement broke, everyone speculated that your family needed Mingyu to step in and continue running the hospital, especially since you showed no interest in taking it over yourself. Mingyu knew he benefited a lot from this arrangement—more than he was willing to admit sometimes.
It was nearly morning when Mingyu finally arrived home, expecting you to be fast asleep. He took a quick shower, hoping to unwind before getting some rest. But when he stepped into the living room, he nearly jumped out of his skin. You were sitting on the couch, staring into the darkness.
"You scared me!" Mingyu muttered, his heart still racing. "Why aren’t you sleeping?"
You shot him a sharp look, your voice dry. "My house just burned down. How could I possibly sleep soundly?"
Ah, right. He had forgotten that small but important detail.
"Right... of course." He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "Well, make yourself at home. Feel free to use the kitchen if you want breakfast. I’ll head to bed."
Mingyu retreated to his room, hoping for some much-needed rest. But as he lay there, he found sleep impossible. His mind kept drifting back to the strange reality that the two of you were now sharing a roof. It wasn’t that he didn’t like you—far from it. You were smart, independent, and capable. But the idea of being engaged, living together, and yet still feeling like you were strangers unnerved him in ways he couldn’t quite explain.
"Yeah, she's fine. She's alright. She's with me. I'll handle things with the building owner about her place. You don’t have to worry, sir." Mingyu reassured your father over the phone as he finished getting ready for work.
Despite having only gotten three hours of sleep, Mingyu needed to be at the hospital for an early morning meeting as the branch director. He had already filled your father in on last night’s fire, assuring him that you were safe and staying with him for the time being. Ending the call, he stepped out of the closet and made his way to the kitchen, where he was greeted by the sight of you preparing breakfast.
You were wearing one of his shirts.
"I’ll call you later, sir," Mingyu said quickly before hanging up, his eyes immediately locking with yours as he entered the kitchen.
You glanced at him briefly, then gestured for him to sit down as you placed the plates on the table. Mingyu couldn’t help but stare for a moment. You must have noticed because you spoke up.
"I didn’t have any clothes with me," you explained, a hint of self-consciousness in your voice. "I borrowed your shirt, if you don’t mind."
Mingyu nodded. "It's fine."
An awkward silence lingered for a moment before he asked, "Is there anything you need to do today?"
You thought for a second. "I definitely need to get some clothes first. And maybe check on the restaurant."
Mingyu thanked you for the food as you joined him at the table. He picked up his spoon, and as soon as he took a bite, his eyes widened in surprise. The breakfast was incredible. He had visited your restaurant a couple of times and knew you were the mastermind behind the recipes, having graduated with a degree in culinary arts. But still, he hadn’t expected his simple morning meal to taste this good.
"How about your belongings?" he asked between bites. "Anything important you need to check, like documents or valuables?"
"Luckily, I left all my important documents at my parents' place," you said, relieved. "But I do need to talk to the building owner about the fire and the damage."
Mingyu nodded thoughtfully. "I’ll go with you."
You both finished breakfast in comfortable silence, and as Mingyu got up to leave for work, he thanked you again for the meal. Before heading out, he made a few calls, one to the aunt who cleaned his house regularly, asking her to pick up some women’s clothes for you, and another to the building manager to arrange an extra parking space for your car.
As he drove to the hospital, he reflected on the morning. He hadn’t expected starting the day with you to feel so... easy. For a moment, he wondered what it would be like if your engagement weren’t just a business arrangement. The thought lingered in the back of his mind as he went on with his day.
"Doctor Kim, thank you for the meal!" the nurses chimed in as Mingyu passed by the emergency room station during his daily rounds.
He blinked in confusion, unsure of what they were referring to. Then, he spotted the neatly packed meals from your restaurant sitting on the counter. You had sent food to his staff. It was thoughtful—something he hadn't expected but appreciated. Mingyu smiled and waved to the nurses, telling them to enjoy the meal before heading to his office, where he found a meal from your restaurant waiting for him as well.
Mingyu quickly shot you a text: Thanks for the meal, everyone’s enjoying it.
You didn’t respond, and Mingyu wasn’t surprised. He rarely texted you, and from what he had observed, you were just as busy as he was. He could understand if you weren’t glued to your phone all the time. Besides, it’s not like he was your priority when it came to messaging.
Over the past week of living together, Mingyu had noticed that the two of you had fallen into a quiet, predictable routine. You would both wake up early, have breakfast together, head off to work, return late in the evening, and go straight to bed. The cycle repeated itself day after day, with only a few short exchanges of "How was work?" or "Did you sleep well?" in between. It was strange to be living under the same roof, sharing meals, and yet feeling like you were still strangers in many ways.
That morning, you casually mentioned that you had signed the lease on a new apartment, not far from your restaurant.
"Do you want to go furniture shopping with me?" you asked over breakfast.
"Sure" Mingyu agreed without hesitation.
And now, here he was, sitting on his couch in a casual outfit, waiting to go furniture shopping with you. It felt like an odd thing to be doing with someone who was supposed to be his fiancée, yet didn’t quite feel like one. Still, Mingyu couldn’t shake the curiosity growing inside him—the thought of spending more time with you, learning more about you beyond the polite small talk and daily routine. He wasn't sure if it would change anything between you, but part of him wanted to try.
"This couch looks good. It fits a lot of people," Mingyu said, running his hand over the fabric as you continued to browse.
You shook your head, clearly unimpressed. "I don't get visitors."
Mingyu chuckled, leaning in a little closer. "What about friends? Boyfriend, maybe?" he teased with a playful grin.
You scoffed and held up your left hand, flashing the engagement ring in front of him. "In case you forgot, I’m engaged."
Mingyu’s eyes flickered to the ring, and he was momentarily struck by the sight of it. You always wore the ring, even though the engagement had been arranged. He, on the other hand, rarely wore his—only during major events or family meetings where it was expected. His profession didn’t really allow for accessories, so he often went without it. But seeing you wear it regularly was a subtle reminder of the commitment hanging between you both.
"Right, how could I forget?" he replied, smoothly continuing the conversation as if the ring hadn’t stirred something unspoken inside him.
Despite the casual banter, the moment felt a little heavier than it should have. He couldn't quite shake the realization that the ring—a symbol of their engagement—was more present in your life than his. It was a quiet declaration, whether intentional or not, that you were his fiancée.
When it came time to pay, Mingyu insisted on covering everything, even after your countless protests. He waved off your refusals, casually brushing them aside as if it was the most natural thing in the world for him to take care of it.
"A rib for dinner?" Mingyu requested once he done paying. How dare you to refused.
*
After ten days of living together, Mingyu realized how quiet and empty his place felt without you around. He found himself looking for any excuse to see you, whether it was a quick text, a call, or even dropping by your restaurant. Without fully realizing it, the relationship between the two of you had begun to shift into something he hadn’t expected.
At this point, almost all of your staff knew him. They had even started referring to him as "the boss's handsome fiancé" every time he walked through the door. This month alone, he had visited your restaurant 8 times—sometimes for a meal, sometimes just to drive you home. And he was relieved that you didn’t seem uncomfortable with his presence. In fact, you appeared to be getting used to it, just as he was.
One afternoon, as Mingyu made his rounds at the hospital, he overheard a group of nurses whispering as he passed by, his name mentioned in their conversation.
"If she's the daughter of the owner, then she must be Doctor Kim’s fiancée, right?"
Mingyu, always the friendly type, chimed in with a grin. "I heard my name."
The nurses looked a bit startled but quickly filled him in. "Doctor Kim, the owner's daughter was brought into the emergency room after being assaulted. Isn't she your fiancée?"
What?
Mingyu’s stomach dropped. Without wasting a second, he grabbed his phone and immediately dialed your number. It rang, but someone else picked up.
"Y/n?" he asked, his voice tight with concern.
"Ah, Mr. Kim? She left her phone behind. She's at the hospital right now. A crazy person caused a scene and she got hurt."
Mingyu didn’t wait for more details. He bolted to the emergency room, his mind racing. When he got there, he hurried to the nurses’ station and asked for your whereabouts.
They directed him to a bed where he finally saw you—sitting up, your arm and head wrapped in bandages, while a doctor carefully tended to your injuries. Relief washed over him, but it was mixed with a surge of worry and anger at what had happened.
He approached you cautiously, his heart still pounding in his chest.
You looked up at Mingyu and smiled, a wave of relief washing over you as soon as you saw him by your side. As the doctor finished tending to your wounds, he greeted Mingyu and explained that you would need to wait for the results of the X-ray, as you had hit your head during the incident.
Once the doctor left, Mingyu turned his full attention to you, his eyes scanning over your injuries with a mixture of concern and relief. Without saying a word, he gently pulled you into an embrace, holding you close as if making sure you were really okay.
"I'm so glad it wasn't worse," he murmured, his voice soft yet filled with emotion. He pulled back slightly to look at you. "What happened?"
You took a deep breath, trying to calm the lingering tension from the day. "There was this drunk guy, making a scene in the restaurant. He was about to hit one of my staff, so I stepped in. I got pushed and my head hit the table. This," you pointed to your bandaged arm, "is from some shattered glass."
Mingyu sighed, his jaw tightening in frustration. "I'm calling the police," he said firmly, standing up as if ready to take action immediately.
But you reached out and grabbed his hand, stopping him. "It's already been reported. My staff handled it."
Mingyu paused, looking down at you, the worry still clear in his eyes. Though the situation had already been dealt with, his protective instincts were hard to turn off. He sat back down next to you, still holding your hand, as if to reassure himself you were safe now.
Your mother, the vice president, appeared in the emergency room, her presence commanding attention as she quickly made her way toward you. You couldn't help but smile at the sight of her, though you could see the worry etched in her expression.
"My heart dropped when I heard my daughter was in the emergency room. Are you okay, honey?" she asked, her voice laced with concern as she reached out to touch your arm.
"I'm fine, Mom," you reassured her with a small smile, trying to ease her worry.
Mingyu stood quietly to the side, observing the exchange with a sense of relief. He was glad to see how close you were with your family, something he hadn’t really gotten to witness much before.
Then your mother turned her attention to Mingyu, who stood respectfully behind her. Her gaze softened as she acknowledged him.
"Thank you, Mingyu. I heard you’ve been taking care of my daughter, especially after she lost her apartment in the fire. And now you're here again," she said, her gratitude clear.
Mingyu bowed slightly, feeling the weight of her words. "It's my pleasure, ma'am," he responded with sincerity.
Your mother waved off the formality with a warm smile. "No need for 'ma'am.' Call me Mother. After all, you're part of the family now—my daughter's fiancé."
The words caught Mingyu a little off guard, though he masked it with a polite nod. He glanced at you, noticing the subtle shift in the room. The formality of your engagement suddenly felt a bit more personal, more real.
After spending some more time talking with your mother and assuring her you were okay, the X-ray results came back clear. The doctor recommended rest and monitoring for the next few days to ensure there were no lingering effects from the head injury. With that, Mingyu insisted on taking you home.
As you left the hospital, Mingyu walked by your side, his hand resting gently on your lower back as he guided you to the car. The day had been exhausting, but knowing that Mingyu was there gave you a strange sense of comfort. It was a feeling that was becoming more familiar lately.
The drive home was quiet, with Mingyu occasionally glancing over to check on you. You stared out the window, your mind still processing everything that had happened, from the fire at your apartment to the incident today. You felt the weight of it all, but at the same time, there was a sense of relief that you weren’t alone in dealing with it.
When Mingyu pulled into his apartment complex, he parked the car and quickly came around to your side to help you out. You couldn’t help but smile at how attentive he was.
As you sat on the couch, trying to unwind from the long day, Mingyu hovered nearby, clearly still worried. You noticed his eyes flicking over to you every few minutes, as if checking to make sure you were really okay.
"You really should rest," he said, standing up and grabbing a blanket from the nearby chair. "I can see you're exhausted."
"I’m fine, Mingyu," you protested softly, though you knew you needed the rest.
He walked over, gently draping the blanket over you, his hands lingering for a moment as he looked down at you. “Just lie down, please. Doctor's orders,” he added with a small, teasing smile, trying to lighten the mood.
You sighed, giving in. The exhaustion was catching up with you, and the couch felt more comfortable with the blanket wrapped around you. As you shifted to lie down, Mingyu crouched down beside you, his expression softening as he watched you settle.
"Better?" he asked, his voice quieter now.
You nodded, pulling the blanket closer. “Yeah, better.”
He lingered for a moment before standing up again, running a hand through his hair. "I think I’ll stay out here with you, just in case you need anything.”
"You don’t have to—" you started to protest, but Mingyu was already grabbing a pillow for himself and setting it on the other end of the couch.
"I know, but I want to," he said simply, lying down beside you, keeping a respectful distance. “We both need to rest anyway. This way, I’ll be right here if anything happens.”
You turned your head slightly to look at him, noticing how comfortable and natural he seemed lying next to you. The tension that had been hanging in the air for weeks felt like it was slowly fading, replaced by an unexpected sense of ease.
"Alright," you murmured, closing your eyes.
Mingyu lay there quietly, the soft rise and fall of his breathing the only sound in the room. He wasn’t saying much, but his presence was steady, reassuring in a way that made you feel safe. After a few moments, he shifted slightly closer, his hand brushing against yours under the blanket. He didn’t say anything, but the gesture spoke volumes.
You didn’t pull away. Instead, you let the quiet warmth between the two of you settle in, realizing that maybe this arrangement between you wasn’t so bad after all.
As you drifted off to sleep, you could feel Mingyu relax beside you. The weight of the day slowly lifted, and with him lying there next to you, it felt easier to rest.
As evening approached, the soft glow of the setting sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm light over the room. You and Mingyu had both woken up from your nap, feeling more rested but still shaken from the day's events. Mingyu sat up, glancing over at you with a gentle smile.
“Do you need anything?” he asked, his voice still soft but with a hint of concern.
You shook your head, feeling more at ease now. “No, I’m okay. Thanks for staying with me.”
He nodded, a thoughtful expression on his face. “Actually, I should probably check and clean your wound properly. Just to make sure it’s healing well.”
You hesitated for a moment but then nodded, realizing it would be reassuring to have him take care of you. Mingyu moved to get a first aid kit from the bathroom, then returned and sat next to you on the couch. As he began to carefully clean the wound on your head, his concentration was palpable.
The proximity brought an unexpected intimacy. Mingyu’s breath lightly brushed against your skin, and you could feel the warmth of his body close to yours. You glanced up at him, and for the first time, you noticed how dangerously close his face was to yours. The closeness made both of you acutely aware of each other, and suddenly, your cheeks flushed a soft pink.
There was a moment of shared awkwardness where neither of you knew quite what to say. Mingyu’s fingers brushed lightly against your forehead, and a nervous laugh escaped both of you simultaneously. The sound was light and shy, a clear indicator of the tension and the new feelings stirring between you.
Mingyu’s hands paused as he looked at you, his eyes meeting yours with an earnest expression. The silence between you was thick with unspoken emotions. He seemed to be gauging your reaction, his gaze shifting from your eyes to your lips.
Without breaking eye contact, Mingyu leaned in slowly, and you felt a rush of anticipation. For a heartbeat, everything seemed to stand still. Then, ever so gently, he pressed his lips against yours. The kiss was tender and soft, a simple yet profound gesture that spoke volumes.
You responded instinctively, your lips moving against his in a hesitant, exploring dance. The kiss deepened just slightly, filled with a mutual tenderness that neither of you had expected but both seemed to crave. When Mingyu finally pulled back, his expression was a mix of relief and uncertainty.
“Sorry,” he said quietly, a slight blush still visible on his cheeks. “I just... I needed to do that.”
You smiled softly, reaching out to gently touch his face. “It’s okay. I think I needed it too.”
Mingyu’s smile was more relaxed now, a genuine warmth in his eyes. He resumed cleaning the wound with a renewed calm, the previous tension replaced by a new, comforting closeness. As he finished, you both settled back into the couch, the space between you now filled with a quiet, shared understanding.
Mingyu set aside the first aid kit and took a deep breath, his gaze locking with yours. “I... I know this might sound sudden, but I think we need to talk about where we go from here.”
You looked at him with curiosity and a hint of apprehension, waiting for him to continue.
He shifted slightly, his expression earnest. “I know our relationship started out as a business arrangement, and things between us have been... different from what I expected. But after spending time with you, especially today, I’ve realized something.”
You watched him closely, feeling a flutter of anticipation in your chest.
“Mingyu, what is it?” you asked softly.
He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. “I’ve been thinking a lot about us. About how we’ve been living together, how you’ve been there for me in ways I didn’t expect. And honestly, I’ve come to realize that I really like you. More than just as my fiancée. I want to be with you, not just because of our families or the arrangement, but because I genuinely care about you.”
His words hung in the air, and you could feel the sincerity behind them. Mingyu reached out and took your hand in his, his touch gentle and reassuring.
“I want to start over,” he continued, his voice steady but filled with emotion. “I want us to settle everything that’s happened and move forward. I want to take you out on dates, to spend time with you as someone I truly treasure. Not just because it’s what’s expected, but because it’s what I genuinely want.”
Your heart raced as you listened, his confession a mix of relief and excitement. It was clear that Mingyu wasn’t just fulfilling a duty anymore—he was speaking from the heart.
“I’ve felt the same way,” you admitted, squeezing his hand. “I never expected this arrangement to lead to something real, but it has. I’ve come to care about you a lot, and I’d like to see where this could go, too.”
Mingyu’s face brightened with a hopeful smile. “So, are we starting over then? Taking a chance on something that’s more than just an arrangement?”
You nodded, a smile of your own spreading across your face. “Yes, let’s start over. I’d like that.”
With a sense of newfound clarity and excitement, Mingyu leaned in and kissed you again, this time with a deeper sense of commitment. It was a kiss that promised not just the continuation of an engagement but the beginning of something much more meaningful.
As the evening drew on, you and Mingyu talked more about your hopes and plans for the future, feeling a sense of anticipation and warmth. The journey ahead was still uncertain, but now it was a journey you were both eager to take together, as partners who truly cared for each other.
*
“Because you’re handsome?” Mingyu chuckled softly, clearly amused by your answer. He had asked you why you accepted the engagement in the first place, and he hadn’t expected your candid response.
“Of course, you’re very handsome and attractive,” you said with a playful glint in your eye. “But beyond that, I didn’t have anyone special, and I didn’t want to go against my parents’ kind intentions, especially when it didn’t harm me.”
“You didn’t go against it?” Mingyu asked, a hint of curiosity in his voice.
You paused to think before shaking your head. “No, not at all. I wasn’t planning to get married. I was just focused on my business.”
Mingyu nodded thoughtfully. “How about now?”
“What do you mean now?” you asked, a hint of confusion in your voice.
“Get married,” he clarified. “Do you want to get married?”
It had been three years since the engagement, and throughout that time, you and Mingyu had maintained your commitment to each other. Even though your parents had pushed for a wedding, you both had insisted on getting to know each other better. It was only after a year of engagement that you truly began to enjoy each other’s presence.
“With you?” you asked innocently, and Mingyu rolled his eyes with a chuckle.
“I wouldn’t ask if it weren’t with me. Do you want to get married to me?”
A scowl formed on your face as you stared at him, your emotions a mix of surprise and curiosity. “Are you proposing?”
Mingyu laughed, his eyes twinkling with affection. “Why? You don’t like it, baby?”
The scowl melted away, replaced by a warm and genuine smile. “I’d love to. I’ve been happy these two years with you. Why not be happy forever?”
Mingyu’s expression softened as he cupped your cheeks gently. “You’re really happy?”
You nodded, your eyes shining with sincerity.
He leaned in, his lips brushing against yours in a tender kiss. “Then I’m happy too.”
In that moment, it felt as if everything had come full circle. The uncertainty of the past had given way to a future filled with promise, and both of you were ready to embrace it together.

new beginnings
Pairing: theodore nott x reader
Summary: after theo very unexpectantly breaks up with you, you try your best to pick yourself back up and move on. theo, on the other hand, seems to be having a harder time of that.
Word Count: 2.2k+
Masterlist
part two :)
✰ ✰ ✰
“(Y/N), you’ve got to get out of bed at some point.” Hermione said. She was sitting on the side of your bed while you laid fully wrapped under the covers. Hermione gently tugged the blanket down from your chin, but you whined a little in protest.
“‘Mione, I seriously can’t do this yet.”
Theo, your boyfriend of over a year had broken up with you only a few short days ago. You’d been in bed ever since, heartbroken over what could have been.
“(Y/N), I know you’re upset, but you have to get up. I can’t let you live the rest of your life in bed! Don’t you know how badly your bum would hurt from laying all of your life?” Hermione joked.
A small smile grew on your lips. “Yeah, that would be pretty tragic. I have too nice of a butt to let that happen.”
Hermione laughed. “There she is! I’ve missed your little jokes. Ron and Harry have become quite boring without you around. I think they’re worried about you.”
You groaned. “Nooo. I hate when people worry about me. It’s just so awkward when I have to be like ‘I’m fine’, ‘no really, I’m fine’.”
Hermione shrugged. “Well, are you?”
You sighed, pulling the covers down from your chin. You looked up at her, a forlorn look on your face. “Definitely not, but I suppose you’re right. I don’t want to be stuck in here for the rest of my life. I just, I just don’t think I can handle seeing him right now.”
Hermione looked at you sadly. “I know. I hate seeing you so upset like this. God, what I would do to put a hex on that boy. He’s quite deserving of it, I would say. Maybe a rat’s tail, or a snake tongue.”
You giggled and sat up in bed. “Or how about we make him bald, or worse, blonde.”
Hermione laughed at that. “Oh, Godric, then we’d have another Draco running around. I don’t think I could handle that.”
“Me either,” you laughed. Slowly, your smile dropped. “I just hate him. Well, no, I don’t hate him. And I hate that! I hate that even after breaking my heart I still love him and long for him.”
Hermione sighed, “I’m sorry, (Y/N/N), I wish I could say something or do something to make this better, I just really don’t know what.”
You shrugged, “yeah, it is what it is. It’s not your fault he’s an ass.”
She chuckled. “So, what do you say? You wanna try to get down to the great hall before dinner starts? I’m sure the guys would like to see you again.”
You thought it over for a minute. You really had missed your friends. Other than Hermione, you’d ostracized yourself from everyone just to avoid Theo.
But were you really ready to see him again? You didn’t think you would ever be ready to see him again.
“You know what,” you stated, “I am gonna go to dinner tonight. And I’m gonna ignore him and see my friends who I’ve missed and ignore the hell out of him because he’s an ass and why should I be the one who has to stay in bed all day?”
“Woohoo!” Hermione cheered. “You’re amazing, let’s get you showered and dressed. I hate to say it, but if you’re gonna get back into the world, you need to wash your hair.”
You chuckled as you picked up a piece of hair to inspect it. “Yeah, okay. Shower first, look really pretty, eat dinner, come back. Piece of cake.”
You pushed the covers off of you as Hermione stood from the bed.
She said, “I’m gonna grab your clothes, so just get in the shower. We shouldn’t be too late to dinner that way.”
You nodded and headed to the bathroom. You were gonna go in there, socialize with your friends, reassure them you were fine, and everything would go back to normal. You hoped.
✰ ✰ ✰
“(Y/N)!” Ginny shouted as you and Hermione made it to the Gryffindor table. She stood up from her seat and pulled you right into a hug.
Releasing the breath you didn’t know you were holding, you smiled and held her even tighter in the hug. Ginny was an amazing friend to you. She had tried her best to see you, but you didn’t let anyone in. Only Hermione since she shared the room with you.
Pulling away, Ginny dragged you to sit down next to her. Hermione followed suit and sat on the other side of you. “Oh, we’ve missed you so much, (Y/N/N). We’ve all been so worried about you, haven’t we?”
Harry and Ron sat across from you. They both nodded their heads, agreeing with Ginny.
“Yeah, what an ass,” Ron scoffed. “Honestly, someone needs to knock that bloke down from his high horse. He doesn’t know what he’s missing, (Y/N/N).”
“Yeah,” Harry replied as he pushed some mashed potatoes in his mouth. “Theodore is a walking red flag. I for one am not sorry for him. He lost a good girl and he’s gonna regret what he’s done.”
You smiled at them. “Yeah, I am pretty awesome. Thanks guys.”
They chuckled and continued eating. Merlin knows those two could eat an entire quidditch field full of food.
“Ahem,” a throat cleared from behind you.
Turning around, you saw Enzo standing there sheepishly.
“Uh,” he stuttered, “hey, (Y/N).”
“Oh,” you said. “Uh, hi Enzo. Do you need something?” You couldn’t hide the crack in your voice. Damn it.
Enzo was probably your favorite of Theo's friends. He was always the one you had most in common with, and therefore connected with pretty easily. You’d never hung out one on one, so you couldn’t really say he was your friend.
“I-no I don’t need something, per say. I just wanted to talk to you. Alone, if, uh, that’s alright.”
You looked back at your friends, unsure if you should talk with him or not. They all seemed to be the same amount of weary as you were, but you were intrigued.
“I don’t really want to talk to Theo, if that’s what this is.”
Enzo shook his head. “No! Ahem, no. I wanted to talk to you. To, uh, apologize kind of? I don’t know. It’s fine if you don’t wanna talk to me, this was silly, I’m sorry-“
“It’s fine, Enzo,” you cut off his rambling. “I’ll speak with you.” You looked back at your friends as you stood up from the table. “I’ll be right back.”
They nodded their heads as you let Enzo lead you away from the table and out the door.
Once you two stood out in the hallway, Enzo kind of just shuffled his feet around, almost as if he was shying away from talking to you.
“Am I supposed to say something first?” You questioned, crossing your arms over your chest.
“No, sorry,” he said as he rubbed the back of his neck. “I just feel a little awkward. I know what happened between you and Theo, but I guess I just hoped that didn’t mean we couldn’t be friends anymore.”
Your eyes softened a little at his confession. Enzo’s cheeks blushed a little as you stared at him.
You sighed. You and Enzo really had been good friends, and you weren’t exactly keen on losing his friendship.
“I mean,” he continued, “you’re the only one who doesn’t make fun of my poetry, you’re the one I go to when I want to talk about books or get recommendations from, and I just would hate to lose our friendship just because I’m friends with Theo as well.”
Your heart melted. “Enzo, of course I still want to be friends with you. I will admit, I was a little nervous you wouldn’t want to talk to me anymore after Theo broke up with me. I really enjoy being your friend.”
Enzo smiled in relief. “Oh good. I thought this would be more awkward and a little bit more sad than how it’s actually going.”
You giggled. “Thank god. I don’t know what I would have done if I just had a real breakup as well as a friendship breakup.”
Enzo smiled awkwardly. “Yeah, I am really sorry about that. I don’t know why he would ever break up with you in the first place. You’re so kind, and I thought you brought the best out in him.”
You forced an awkward smile. You really did not want to be talking about Theo right now, especially not about how you made him a better person.
Before you could reply, a voice yelled out from behind you.
“Oi!”
Turning around, you could see Theo storming up towards you and Enzo.
“What the fuck, mate?” Theo huffed as he got in between you and Enzo.
“Woah!” You shouted, backing up as Theo got up into Enzo’s face. “Theo, what are you doing?”
He ignored you and kept talking to Enzo. “Are you hitting on my girlfriend? Right after all the shit we just went through?”
“What?” Enzo squeaked. “I’m not hitting on her, I was just talking to her.”
You were pissed. Your fists balled up at your sides as you stomped up to Theo. You grabbed onto his shoulder and yanked him away from Enzo. Theo didn’t see it coming, so he stumbled and fell back a couple of steps.
“Get the hell away from him,” you growled. “And what the fuck is wrong with you, Theodore?”
You got between Theo and Enzo, pushing your finger into your ex-boyfriend’s chest accusingly.
“First,” you said, “you break up with me, break my heart, and then you have the fucking nerve to come up here all righteous and accuse Enzo of whatever the fuck you said, all while calling me your girlfriend when you’re the asshole who broke up with me!”
You glared at Theo, watching as his anger turned soft. “I am not your girlfriend anymore, Theodore Nott. You’re the one who made that happen, so you have no fucking right to come up in my conversations acting like I owe you anything.”
“(Y/N),” he softly said. “I… I’m sorry. You’re right, I shouldn’t have come out here all crazy. I just, I hate seeing you with anyone else, even if it’s one of my friends.”
He turned to talk to Enzo, “I’m sorry, mate. Will you give us a few minutes?”
Enzo nodded his head and gave you an awkward smile before heading back into the dining hall.
You huffed, settling down a little as you stared at Theo.
He looked tired. His eyes had circles underneath them, and his cheeks didn’t have their usual flush to them. He was as gorgeous as ever, but he looked drained.
“You don’t look so good,” you pointed out, trying to sound nonchalant.
Theo frowned and softly said, “neither do you.”
Your lips pulled tight in a frown. Theo didn’t need to know how much he had affected you with the breakup.
You sighed, “what are you doing, Theo?”
He shrugged and put his hands in his pockets awkwardly. “I, uh, I’m not really sure. I just didn’t like seeing you with Enzo.”
“Why? You broke up with me.”
Theo huffed, “I don’t know. I just don’t like seeing you with anyone else. It still feels like I’m supposed to be there. Like I’m supposed to be the one with you. I miss you.”
You shook your head as hurt started to creep back into your heart. “Don’t say things like that to me, Theo. Not after what you did. I loved you, and you broke up with me out of nowhere for no good reason, either.”
“I’m sorry,” he tried to reach for you, but you shrugged off his hand. “I don’t know why I did what I did. I just know that I regret it like crazy. I want to be with you, (Y/N). I’ve always wanted to be with you, I was stupid to let you go. Can you forgive me?”
Your lips pulled tight. “Theo, I can’t just get back with you like this.” You said. “I don’t trust you anymore. You broke my heart, and broke my trust. You gave me no reason for the breakup, so who’s to say it won’t happen right after we get back together?”
He shook his head. “Dolcezza, no. I won’t do that to you, not again. What can I do to prove this to you?”
You shrugged. “I don’t know. I can’t get back with you. Not like this, and not so soon. You really hurt me, Theo.”
“Well, what if we try being friends at least?” He suggested.
“You wanna be my friend?”
“No,” he said immediately. “But I’ll settle for being your friend for as long as it takes to win you back.”
Your heart warmed at what he had said. Maybe you could try being friends with him. He did really hurt you, but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t miss him.
“Okay,” you decided, “I’ll give you a chance to be my friend. Don’t hurt me again, Theodore, or I’ll get Ginny on you.”
He chuckled. “Don’t worry, darling, I’m gonna do whatever it takes to get my baby back. I can promise you that.”

loser of the year | peter maximoff
SUMMARY: peter thinks you hate him because you avoid him at all costs but he soon figures out why. WORD COUNT: 1243 WARNINGS: none! brief mention of she/her A/N: i couldn't think of a name so spotify did me a solid and played my fave simple plan song and i rolled with it.
Peter couldn’t understand it. Days, heck, weeks had been spent with him trying to figure out what he’d done wrong for you to constantly avoid him but he was coming up blank. Nada. So, if he hadn’t done anything then what was the reason? Why did you always avoid him in the hallways? Why would you always make an excuse to leave whenever he came over when you were talking to Scott or Jean? It absolutely baffled him. Drove him insane actually. Once Peter got something in his little speedster head, he tended to obsess over it. He also didn’t like when he couldn’t figure something out. And, you were the biggest puzzle of all.
It happened again one day when you were sitting in the common room of the mansion. Lazily, you were laying across the couch, legs dangling over the arm while your head rested on the other side. Scott was sitting in the chair next to you, the two of you chatting about Logan’s latest lecture. Peter had been speeding through the hallways causing his trouble like always when he came to halt hearing your voice.
He jumped into the free chair on the other side of the couch, blowing a bubble with the gum in his mouth. “What’re we talking about?”
“I have to go,” you mumbled as you got to your feet. “See you later, Scott.”
Once you left, Peter scoffed, arms crossing over his chest like a spoiled child. “What’s her problem?”
“What do you mean?” Scott asked.
“She hates me, dude. I don’t even know what I’ve done,” Peter threw his hands up in the air, his frustration more than evident.
“She doesn’t hate you.”
“Pfft, yeah right. That’s why she always leaves whenever I show up. Whatever, doesn’t matter. It’s fine. Completely fine. I don’t want to talk to her anyway.”
It wasn’t like you wanted to avoid Peter – you really didn’t but you didn’t know what else to do. Usually, you were this confident person who could strike up a conversation with anyone. The easiest thing in the world for you was to make friends but when it came to Peter that all flew out of the window. He made you nervous. One look at him and you were flustered. It was like you lost your tongue, you couldn’t speak a word to him or even look at him unless you wanted to look like a human tomato. It was a problem – a huge problem.
Of course, you’d had crushes before. Many times but this was different. Never had you been so flustered by someone that you couldn’t stand to be around them. This was all new for you. Sure, Peter was attractive. He was probably one of the most attractive guys you’d ever laid your eyes on but what really drew you to him was his personality. He was so fun, carefree. Everything seemed like it was one big adventure with him. Not that you’d really had a full conversation with him but you’d seen how he acted during training. Scott had told you many stories about Peter. It really seemed like everyone loved him. Sure, maybe he came across a little annoying at times but you found that endearing.
Lost in thought, you were walking through the hallway, a book in hand. It wasn’t until you were hit by a brick wall - or what felt like a brick wall at least anyway - and knocked to the floor when you came back to reality. Your eyes instantly bore into Peter’s who had managed to knock the two of you down to the floor, his body laying on top of yours. His hands braced either side of your head so he didn’t completely crush you.
“Oop, my bad.”
Your cheeks instantly turned red at his nonchalance. How could he be so collected when his body was literally pinning yours to the floor?
“Wasn’t paying attention,” he added.
Okay, so, he knew he should get off you. He knew he should get up and let you go on your way but this was the first time he’d got to speak to you without you instantly rushing off. What was a few more minutes pressed together on the floor? He looked at your face, your eyes avoiding his now, the faint tint of pink on your cheeks. “You good?”
“Yeah,” you squeaked out. Suddenly, you forgot how to breathe.
“What’s your issue?” Peter blurted out.
“What?”
“With me? Why’d you act like I’m the walking plague and avoid me at all costs? If I said somethin’ to ya at some point then I’m sorry but I’ve been wracking my brain and I don’t think I have.”
“I…” The words got lost on your tongue. ‘Seriously, get it together, brain,’ you thought. “You didn’t.”
Peter scrunched his face. “Then what is it? What’d I do to you?”
With his face so close to yours, his body pressing into you so you could feel every part of him, it was like someone had removed your brain from your head. There wasn’t a single coherent thought in there. “Nothing.”
His eyes narrowed as he noticed you avoiding his gaze at all costs. Then, it hit him. The way you couldn’t look at him, the blush on your cheeks. You liked him. A smirk graced that stupidly handsome face of his as he finally got off you, holding his hand out to help you up. Of course, you took it. His hand felt warm in yours, a little sweaty but you figured that was just because he had spent five minutes in that compromising position with you.
“You like me,” he pointed accusingly at you. His tone was smug. So damn smug.
“Wh-what? No!” A bold face lie.
“That’s why you avoid me. You got yourself a little crush on ol’ Quickie. I mean, who can blame you?” His grin lit up his whole face.
Now you really were flustered. Credit had to be given – he’d figured you out within five minutes of being around you and that was exactly why you had wanted to avoid being anywhere near him. This was going down as one of the most embarrassing moments of your life. Your hands went to cover your face that was now burning hot.
Peter shoved his hands in jacket pockets, bouncing on the balls of his feet. “S’cool, babe. Think you’re pretty cute too.”
That made you peer at him through your fingers. “Really?”
“Yeah when you’re not avoiding me anyway.”
“Sorry.”
He waved his hand at you to dismiss your apology. “All good. I’ma need you to stop running away everytime you see me, though.”
You nodded, bringing your hands away from your face. Suppose that was something you could do now you’d broke the ice. Or, well, Peter had broken the ice. You’d done nothing but say five words and break the world record for blushing. “Okay, yeah but… uh, I do have to go. Um… need to return this book.”
He stepped out of your way, letting you pass. As you walked away, he called after you with that shit-eating grin still on his face. “See ya, cutie. Might ask you on a date next time I see you if it doesn’t make you spontaneously combust.”
Peter snickered to himself, feeling pretty confident with himself as he walked away. Meanwhile you were sure you were about to melt into a puddle on the floor.

“You must remarry, I would prefer it to a house that’s close to ours, but above all I just want you to be happy, daughter. You’ve been haunting these halls after your husband’s death for too long.” my father’s words repeatedly slam into me.
“I didn’t know my bereavement had an expiration date.” I say exasperated, shaking my head at a loss.
“It’s been well over a year. War is coming for the crown and I’d like you to have the opportunity to choose your husband rather than being placed into an unhappy marriage pact for alliances and swords.” he looks to me from our house seat and my mother grabs onto his wrist supportively.
“We just wish to see your smile again.” my mother whispers to me with a soft smile.
“It sounds as if I don’t have a choice in the matter.” I shrug my shoulders, looking up at the ceiling to stop the tears that threaten to fall.
“I’ve summoned some of the unmarried Lords of the Riverlands and they’ll be here by the end of the week. Try to keep an open mind daughter.” my father looks to me and then comfortingly to my mother.
“I’ll see you for supper.” I murmur as I turn and leave the hall.
I sequester myself in my chambers for the rest of the night, even refusing to attend supper much to my parents displeasure. I know they mean well but how can I possibly think of remarrying when every time I go to sleep all I can think of is waking in the middle of the night to my husband’s dead body.
The maesters say it was overindulgence mixed with a poor heart. We were only married for one turn of the moon, but I knew him much longer than that. He was in every sense the gentleman and even waited to consummate our marriage not wanting to be presumptuous.
It was a very innocent and young love kind of marriage. I always thought my cheeks were going to split from how much he made me smile. He would whisper sweet nothings in my ear throughout court making my cheeks tint. At night he would cuddle in close and pepper kisses across my face before curling into me and drifting off to bed. I never expected it to end so quickly. So yes, I have been haunting the halls of Riverrun.
One of my maids knocks softly and enters with tea and a sleeping draft should I want it. She brushes through my hair and helps me prepare for bed. I slip under the covers and lay back ready for another fitful night of sleep.
⊹₊⋆☁︎⋆⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊⋆☁︎⋆₊ ⊹ ⊹₊⋆☁︎⋆⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊⋆☁︎⋆₊ ⊹ ⊹₊⋆☁︎⋆⁺₊⋆
The rest of the week goes by in a blur as gowns are being fitted and hemmed in haste for the upcoming events. I’m to be paraded around like a prized mare ready for auction. My breath catches in my throat as one of the maids pulls my corset strings tightly.
“Might we loosen it? Even just a bit?” I say trying to calm my nerves.
“Yes, my Lady. I’m sorry.” she says as I breathe out a sigh of relief as I can fully inflate my lungs again.
I’m quickly brought down to the main hall where my mother and father are sitting in the house seat waiting for my arrival. A chair has been brought in for me to sit at their side on display. My mother’s smile spreads across her face as she takes in my new gown.
“You look lovely, Y/n.” my mother coos to me.
“Thank you, mother.” I take my seat without further word.
“Bring them in.” my father calls to his guards.
The doors groan open and in walk four men. I scoff at the first two men who enter as they seem to be older than my father. The two men that follow are finally closer to my age, if not the same age as me. They all stand in a line in front of my father looking to him except one who won’t tear his eyes from me. I look him over from head to toe and roll my eyes when I see the smirk ghosting on his lips.
“Y/n?” my father says getting my attention.
“Yes?” I ask absentmindedly taking in the frustration on my father’s face.
“I asked you to introduce yourself.” he says hushed as he narrows his eyes at me.
“Have they come here not knowing whose hand they’re vying for?” I asked with a clipped tone completely over this already.
“Y/n.” my mother hisses from my father’s side.
“Good morrow, my Lords.” I sigh and look to them. “I’m Lady Y/n Tully. Tell me who you are and what you can offer me.” I tilt my head looking to them all expectantly.
The one who can’t take his eyes off of me lets out a loud laugh as the other men look to me distraught. I raise my hand in motion for them to start telling me their names and houses so we can get this meeting over with. The three men look to my father and mother for help as they fall over their words and each other in the process.
“That’s enough,” I raise my hand with annoyance. “You.” I point to the one who is smiling at me and seems to find this entertaining.
“Me?” he raises his eyebrows as his smile never falters.
“Yes, tell me your name.” I purse my lips looking him over more in depth as he steps closer.
“Lord Benjicot Blackwood, my Lady.” he says his voice smooth like butter.
“And what can you offer me, Lord Benjicot?” I lean forward and raise an eyebrow studying him.
“Anything your heart desires. Say it and it shall be yours.” he says inclining his head to me.
“I’ll have him.” I turn to my father and take in his distressed state.
“My daughter, you still haven’t-“
“No matter,” I wave off my father’s words. “I’ll have Lord Benjicot or no one.” I say with finality.
“Y/n please,” my mother’s voice begging.
“Two of these Lords are older than father and the other is just as bumbling and stuttering as them. You’ve practically made the choice for me.” I blink at them, daring them to go against what they know is true.
“At least enter a courtship first.” my mother pleads.
“I thought you wanted me out of Riverrun so I could stop “haunting the halls” I think was the way you phrased it?” I tilt my head looking to my parents.
“We didn’t mean it like that.” my mother adds with soft, sad eyes.
“Enough, this discussion can wait.” my father stands from his seat, his face red with embarrassment for this conversation in front of his vassals.
“Agreed.” I stand with my father defiantly. “Lord Benjicot, would you like to go for a walk along the river?” I ask holding my arm out for him to grab.
“I would be honored, my Lady.” he smiles and grabs my arm as we exit the main hall.
As we walk out the main doors I can practically feel my parent’s eyes burning into us. What did they expect me to do, wed an old man? I turn to the Lord on my arm and see that he’s already studying me himself. He’s actually quite handsome and I can tell he knows it by the way he carries himself.
“Tell me of your home.” I request tearing my eyes from him to look at the river beside us.
“It’s one of the oldest standing castles, dating back to the first men. We have a massive weirwood that is home to hundreds of ravens, hence the name Raventree Hall. We’re close enough to the coast where if you stand in some of the towers you can see the bay. It’s not too far from Riverrun should you get homesick.” he studies my expression, looking unsure of what to say.
“Very well.” I hum as I lead us to an unoccupied bench. “You truly wish to wed me?” I turn to him as I take a seat.
“I would be honored to have your hand, my Lady. I do not wish to force you into this marriage, should you not want it.” he bites his lip looking almost nervous.
“I must wed again.” say barely audible turning my head back to the river. “It’s not that I don’t want to. Or that I wouldn’t want to wed you. It’s just only been a year since.. It doesn’t matter.” I shake my head wishing I bit my tongue. Of course he wouldn’t want to hear about my dead husband and he’s going to change his mind and-
“Tell me of your first love.” his voice as soft as mine as he interrupts my thoughts.
“What?” my head snaps to him. “Why?” my eyebrows furrow with confusion.
“I can tell you loved him dearly. If you don’t want to you don’t have to. I just wanted to offer a listening ear.” he fidgets with his hands looking at me nervously.
“He was,” I sigh trailing off. “He was very kind and sweet. We grew up together. A young blossoming love like the books tell..” I shake my head unable to continue.
“It’s okay.” he places his hand on mine in comfort. “You can tell me whenever you’re ready or want to. I’ll be here to listen.” he smiles softly to me.
“I shouldn’t be speaking of this to you, it’s uncomely.” my voice is wobbly as my glassy eyes look to him.
“Your feelings are no burden to me. You lost a great love.” his eyes full of promise and patience.
“My parents seem to think it’s excessive. So much so that they’re pushing me off onto someone else.” tears fall down my face and I wipe them away angrily.
“I- May I hug you?” he looks to me with pitiful eyes which would normally enrage me but I could use a genuine hug.
I turn to him and fold into his embrace. His arms wrap around me tightly, protectively. Feelings of safety and comfort wash over me as I melt into him. I cling to him as tears continue to pour down my face. Gods what am I thinking sobbing into him like this.
“I’m sorry.” I sniffle pulling back. “No, I’ve got tears all over your jacket.” my voice cracks as more tears fall as I try to wave my hand to dry off the stain.
“Hey,” he tries to get my attention away from the wet mark. “Y/n it’ll dry.” my name falls off of his tongue stilling me.
“I’m sorry.” I look to him with red cheeks.
“There’s nothing to apologize for.” he smiles softly to me.
I scoot closer to him as we look on at the river in front of us. We sit in comfortable silence as he allows me to grieve. Once the sun starts to dip below the horizon he escorts me back to the castle and offers me a goodnight. For the first time in many moons I tuck into bed with hope for the future and sleep restfully.
⊹₊⋆☁︎⋆⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊⋆☁︎⋆₊ ⊹ ⊹₊⋆☁︎⋆⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊⋆☁︎⋆₊ ⊹ ⊹₊⋆☁︎⋆⁺₊⋆
It took me all of a week to completely fall for Ben. My ribs hurt from the laughter he’s been able to pull from me daily. My parents look at us with happiness throughout the week and finally relent and accept my leave to go to his home for a fortnight before we wed.
As we approach Raventree Hall my breath escapes me looking on at the large gates painted with moss and life. As we enter through his men greet him happily and offer me warm smiles. He escorts me into his castle and I’m entranced by its architecture and detail.
“You have a beautiful home.” I hum looking around the hall. When I finally turn back to him he’s leaning against the door frame looking at me with a soft smile.
“It’ll be your home as well soon enough.” he pushes off the doorway and walks to me.
“You haven’t decided I’m too crazy for you?” I look up to him as he approaches.
“Not anymore than I am.” a smile pulls across his face as he grabs my hand leading me out of the hall.
He gives me a full tour of Raventree Hall that ends with us in the Godswood. I’m speechless at the massive weirwood that’s a home to all of these ravens. The tree itself stands taller than the entire castle making me crane my neck to see the entirety of it. Ben leads us out of the Godswood and into the castle where we share an intimate dinner alone.
“I must admit something.” he looks to me from across the table once the servants disappear.
“Which is?” I look at him with a raised eyebrow, my interest piqued.
“I first saw you when I was just a boy. We were all summoned to Riverrun for some event I no longer remember,” he trails off, his cheeks turning red. “But I’ll always remember you. You were wearing a billowy pink dress with flowers in your hair and you looked less than pleased to be surrounded by so many people. I thought you were so perfect but I couldn’t work up the nerve to speak to you. It has always been such a regret.” Ben’s eyes look to me as the memory appears in my mind of that scratchy, terrible dress they made me wear and I giggle.
“Was I your first crush, Lord Benjicot?” a wicked smile appears on my face as his cheeks turn a darker shade of red.
“You’re never going to let me live this down.” he groans covering his face, peeking at me through his fingers.
“Not anytime soon.” I hum as I pull his hands away from his face.
“Your parents say you’ve been haunting Riverrun, but you’ve been haunting my dreams for much longer.” he says intertwining our fingers looking to me.
“I’m sorry I’ve caused you so many years of restless sleep.” a smirk plays on my lips as I squeeze his hands.
“You’ll have plenty of restless nights coming up.” he winks at me causing my cheeks to catch on fire.
“Ben,” I gasp scandalously as he chuckles at me.
“I’ll never tire of my name on your tongue.” he smiles and leans back in his chair watching me.
We finish our dinner with palpable tension as we steal glances at one another. He escorts me to my chambers through the silent halls. The castle seems to already be asleep for the night as we linger, not quite ready to leave each other’s company.
“Let your guard know if you need anything. Although, my chambers are right down the hall if you need me.” he looks at me with low lids and a lazy smile.
“Then I’ll know which direction to begin my haunts during the hour of the wolf.” I smile up at him as he chuckles and shakes his head.
“I’ll make sure to leave my doors unlocked for you.” he winks, reaching behind me to open my chambers for me.
“I’ll see you in your dreams.” I whisper before whisking myself into my chambers and sealing myself behind the doors before he can see the extent of my blush.
I take in my chambers and smile at the warmth and new beginnings they carry. I begin to change into my night dress and retire to my bed. I figured it would feel weird sleeping in a home that’s not mine but all I feel is excitement for what the next fortnight will hold. I fall asleep with a smile etched on my face.
⊹₊⋆☁︎⋆⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊⋆☁︎⋆₊ ⊹ ⊹₊⋆☁︎⋆⁺₊⋆ ☀︎ ⋆⁺₊⋆☁︎⋆₊ ⊹ ⊹₊⋆☁︎⋆⁺₊⋆
The first week at Raventree Hall was full of innocent glances and hand holding but there seems to be a rise in tension between us in our last week before we wed. We constantly tease each other and seem to always be touching each other whether it be his hand on my back or mine on his arm.
I exit my chambers early this morning to explore the halls and yards on my own. I stop in the Godswood and look upon the ravens that fly about the grounds. I slowly make my way to the training yard to watch Ben work alongside his men. I haven’t had the courage to come down here and watch him but my curiosity is getting the better of me.
As I turn the corner I’m greeted with grunts and clashing swords. My eyes dart around the yard until they land on a shirtless Ben. Gods this is why I never came here to watch him because I know I look like a lovesick puppy. I claim a seat on the outskirts of the circle near Ben and silently watch him train.
He is a true leader to his men and is actively cares about their advancement. I sit with a smile painted across my face as I watch his muscles flex deliciously. His eyes finally land on me and his face lights up as he jogs over to me.
“To what do I owe the pleasure of your presence, Y/n.” he looks down at me with hungry eyes as I continue to lounge in my chair.
“Am I not allowed to look upon my betrothed?” I blink up to him innocently.
“Shall I remove more layers so you can look upon the rest of me.” he chuckles lowly as my cheeks inflame.
“Benjicot Blackwood.” I hiss as I quickly rise and cover his mouth with my hand. He chuckles into my hand and grabs my wrist to lower my hand.
“You get flustered so easily.” he says lowly, trailing his fingers up my arm causing me to shiver. “Do you enjoy watching me train?” he dips down to whisper in my ear to which I nod not trusting my voice.
His confidence is so exhilarating. I feel my blood thrum in his presence in anticipation for anything he does. I never thought I would feel the life brought back to me. He pulls back much to my quiet displeasure and looks at me with a serpentine smile.
“You can come and watch me whenever you please. I’ll have a chase brought out for you, I wouldn’t want you to get uncomfortable while you fantasize about me.” he teases as I roll my eyes and turn to walk away without another word.
“I’m sorry.” he breathes out as he turns me around to find a smile on my face and he sighs out in relief. “Mm, in that case do you want to share your fantasies with me?” this man is absolutely relentless.
“Maybe when we aren’t around so many eyes.” I shrug him off with a smirk of my own and continue to walk into the case.
As I continue inside the doors I hear his men laugh at him for scaring me away and I can’t help but chuckle myself. I don’t know how I’ll ever get used to his teasing and not turn into such a blushing mess. I’m quite excited to be wed to him because there’s never a dull moment.

“My wife,” Ben whispers down to me softly before he captures my lips for the first time at our ceremony.
I feel as if my heart is going to burst out of my chest as I sigh into his mouth. He pulls me closer as my arms wrap around his back. I care not of the audience watching us as I allow myself to indulge in my husband. We pull apart and he offers me one more chaste kiss before we turn to the crowd with red cheeks.
I turn to my parents and see my mother all but sobbing and my father with watery eyes standing tall next to her. I chuckle at them as we descend from the alter. Ben twirls me around the open dance floor before bringing me back so we can share our first dance.
My body is buzzing with anticipation as Ben glues me to his body as we begin. I look up at him through my lashes as cups my face. He offers me a soft kiss as we continue to sway to the soft music.
The celebrations go on long into the night. Ben and I try to sneak off a handful of times but got lured into conversations as we tried to make our escape. As the crowd begins to slow we are quick to slip away and rush into the castle.
Ben’s hand grips mine as we run through the front doors trying to stifle our laughter so we don’t draw attention to us. He pulls me up the stairs after him silently. We come to a stop in front of his chambers both of our chests rising and falling rapidly.
“My chambers or yours?” he licks his lips looking down at me.
“I thought your chambers were mine now, husband?” I tilt my head with a smile.
His lips crash into mine causing me to squeak in surprise. He smiles into the kiss before pulling us inside our chambers. He pulls us apart and seals the chambers shut and turns to me with dark eyes. He stalks over to me and his hands pull my closer by my waist.
“This is a beautiful dress. May I take it off?” he whispers as he starts to kiss my neck. His hands trail to my back waiting at the strings for my word.
“Yes,” I breathe out as his fingers begin to unravel my dress. He pulls back to help me step out of it leaving me in my silk slip. He looks at me hungrily as his hands slide back to my waist. I bring trembling hands to his jacket and begin to unbutton it.
“Do I make you nervous?” I can tell he’s smirking without even looking at him. His hands go to mine to steady them before taking over and removing his jacket the rest of the way.
“Don’t tease me.” I pout as I begin to unbutton his shirt.
“So eager to see me shirtless again?” he chuckles as he pulls his shirt over his head quickly.
“I will make you sleep in the guest chambers.” my eyes narrow on him as I push his chest.
“Is that truly what you want?” he tilts his head smugly.
“No.” I cross my arms.
“Oh come here.” he relents and pulls me to him once more.
He dips down and encases my lips with his. He licks along the seam and I open my mouth and his tongue is immediately dancing with mine. I melt into his touch and gasp out in surprise as his hand travels to my thighs and they clench shut. He pulls back breathlessly and looks to me with low lids.
“Have you been touched before?” he asks without his teasing tone for once as his hands return to my waist.
“No.” I shake my head with burning cheeks.
“Would you like to be?” he asks softly.
“Yes,” I answer faster than I would’ve liked.
His lips find mine again as his hand finds its way between my thighs. I whimper into his mouth as his fingers trail through my wetness. He continues with one tortuous finger until he decides to swirl against my clit.
“Ben,” I cry into his mouth as my legs threaten to give out.
“Let’s go to the bed.” his voice laced with desire.
Once we make it to the bed he slowly lifts off my slip and helps me back on the bed. He begins to remove his pants as I gaze up at him with heavy eyes as I take in the rest of his body. My legs squeeze in anticipation looking at him on full display. We shameless drink in each other’s body admiring.
He climbs into bed and hovers above me for a moment before he fiercely kisses me once more. His hand makes its way back between my legs as his teeth nip at my bottom lip. His fingers begin to circle my clit once more causing a moan to tear through me.
“Does that feel good, Y/n?” he whispers before he attaches is mouth to my neck.
“Yes, Ben,” I whine as my legs begin to shake.
His fingers continue to slide through my wetness as his kisses begin to trail down my chest. I suck in a large breath as he takes my nipple into his mouth and swirls his tongue around it. He leaves wet kisses across my chest as he makes his way to my other breast. His deft fingers find their way back to my clit as he offers this nipple a playful bite causing me to arch up into his mouth.
He chuckles lowly as he begins to kiss down my torso until he’s watching his hand pull pleasure from body. I moan out in frustration as his finger slips away from my clit once more. I whimper as his tongue begins to lap against my clit as my thighs start to clamp around his head. He chuckles into my core before holding my thighs open to lose himself in me.
“Ben, please,” my hips grind against his face as one of my hands fly to his hair.
A sob tears through me as I explode all over his tongue as he continues his assault. He pulls his mouth back but continues trailing his fingers down my sensitive center. He looks to me and watches me as my legs twitch when his fingers pass over my clit. As his finger slides down it circles my entrance and begins to dip in. My hips lift off the bed wanting more of his fingers as he groans looking at me.
“Gods you’re perfect.” his voice dripping with devotion as he slips his finger the rest of the way in.
He leans down and entangles us in a kiss as his finger begins to pump into me. He teases a second finger and I moan into his mouth as he pushes them both into me. He holds his forehead to mine as I pant while my hips begin to chase his fingers for more. His thumb makes its way to my clit as his begins to move his fingers faster.
“Yes, Ben please,” he groans at my words and kisses me hard.
His fingers begin to curl as he pushes them into me faster. I clench around his fingers as I let go once more, losing myself to all of the pleasure he offers me. He slowly removes his fingers and I whine into his mouth at the loss.
“I need to be in you.” he breathes deeply as he settles between my legs. I wrap my legs around his waist and pull him down to me. “Someone’s impatient.” he chuckles against my lips.
“You can still go to the guest chambers.” I scold breathlessly as his length presses against my core.
“I wouldn’t dare leave my wife so needy.” he pecks my lips as he begins to line himself up at my entrance.
He watches my face as he slowly pushes into me. My eyes flutter shut as I feel the burn of his delicious stretch. My hips begin to rock against his and he grinds into me deeply. My hands fly to his back as his continues is slow moments as my nails dig in.
He begins to rock his hips slowly getting faster. Moans fall from my lips freely as his hips snap into mine. Our breathes become one as pleasure washes over us. His hips falter as cry out his name coming around him with tears in my eyes. His hips still as he fills me with my name on his lips.
He kisses me softly as he pulls out and lays next to me. I curl into his side as he smooths my hair. Ben pulls a blanket over us as my eyes get heavier.
“Shall I go to the guest chambers?” he chuckles lowly as I groan in annoyance.
“I should make you go out of spite.” I huff pulling him closer to me anyways.
He kisses my head once more as we slowly begin to drift off.

the same sky – gojo satoru
contents: gojo x reader, angst pure angst. careful with this one, this one was.. real sad summary: gojo calls you in between missions to remind you that he loves you wc: 1.4k
you’d gently kiss him – you were never as good as words as he was – hoping your touch could communicate your love for him. but satoru knew you well. he didn’t need his six eyes to know that you loved him equally, eagerly engulfing your body, smiling into the kiss.
“hey, sweetheart!” you heart skips a beat at his familiar greeting. “-look okay, don’t be mad, but I went to a new bakery after I was done with that curse I called about yesterday. okay, before you start – yeah I know, I know im trying to balance all the sweets with vegetables, juuust like I said I would! so no pouting – heh, aren’t you proud of me? i’ve been doing so good, I swear!” you giggle as you balance your phone on your shoulder, two heavy bags full of groceries on either arm. you couldn’t help but smile as you hear his confident, playful tone in your ear. he was so silly.
“but mmmpphhhhfhfff oh my god, sweetheart it was so fucking good. I got the blueberry cheesecake, it was so cute – they decorated it with these little blueberries and it had this like really shiny glaze on it! I know you’d love it, we should – “
you loved when he called you. talking with satoru was almost an overwhelming experience. hearing his voice so close to you reminded you of those nights where you’d lay on his chest comforted by his breathing, where he’d whisper to you under the covers promises and far away fears. he’d hold you so gently, a perfect fit against his strong frame, a spot that he carved out especially for you.
he said he couldn’t sleep without you. he would call for you in the dark if he couldn’t find you, your warm hands finding him every time. you’d coo softly at him, stroking his pout. you’d look into his eyes and wondered what you did to deserve him. maybe your ancestors were blessed through prayer or maybe you and satoru were connected in a past life or maybe you were just lucky. but as you rubbed his back to calm his restless thoughts you thanked whatever higher power that you and satoru were connected in your universe – in this timeline. grateful to breathe the same air as him. glad to share your stars with him. happy to laugh beside him.
you’d gently kiss him – you were never as good as words as he was – hoping your touch could communicate your love for him. but satoru knew you well. he didn’t need his six eyes to know that you loved him equally, eagerly engulfing your body, smiling into the kiss.
his familiar baritone carried so much warmth, you could hear his smile through the phone. you couldn’t help but match his lips when you were on the phone with him. he would call at any time: because he missed you even though he was just 10 minutes away – just around the corner to mail a letter or because he saw a funny cat on the street that looked like nanami and wanted to hear you laugh at it too or because he wanted to pick up dinner on the way home and wanted to make sure there wasn’t anything else you wanted in addition to your usual sushi order from your favourite restaurant.
he always had something to say, something to share, something to remind you. you loved that about him. when it came to you he was too generous and you hoped that he felt your devotion to him as well. “y’know sweetheart, I bet it’s raining where you are right now, I can just fucking feeling it!”
you sigh as you see your shared apartment building in sight. your amused huff filling the pause on the phone like satoru knew you would be looking up at the same sky. as you stop and gaze up at the grey abyss, you could feel the warm spring rain drizzling, gently tapping on your forehead somehow feeling like satoru’s comforting kisses. you laugh, pleased at the universe’s gift to you. after all, he first kissed you in the rain all those years ago. it was clumsy at first, a nervous quick peck landing on the side of your mouth. time stopped, you swore you haven’t lived fully until that day. holding your hand, he pulled you in closer, craving another brush of your lips against his, muttering that he’s been thinking of kissing you since you made fun of his “stupid glasses,” when you first started jujutsu tech. you remembered how the rain soaked your hair and made his eyes sparkle affectionately when you kissed him back, face flushing. that was one of the only days where satoru was speechless. you liked to tease him about it all the time.
“i’m right wasn’t i?” he says, bringing you back to the present, his familiar teasing tone etched into your consciousness. he was always right, you could tell that he could sense the shaking of your head, soft smile still on your face. he was so ridiculous. in that moment, you were more aware of your love him. endless and overflowing, he helped you discover your favourite parts of yourself. he easily brought out the best in you, effortlessly loving you like it was breathing. “.. you must be happy though, you love the rain. don’t get too wet, babe. you’ll get sick!” you melt at his sweetness. he knew you well.
“…wish I was there enjoying it with you, but I’ll be back real soon. promiseeeee!” you couldn’t wait to see him again, he brightened every corner of your life, your shared apartment felt dreary without him. dull and cold. when he left, your apartment felt too big – it was made for two. two pairs of chopsticks, two toothbrushes, two mugs, “yours and mine” he’d say proudly every time you went shopping, “but everything is ours,” he’d grin. still there were reminders of him that gave you comfort, his extra pair of shoes still at the foyer by door, his brush in the bathroom drawer filled with his white hair, his pajamas on the comfy chair in your shared bedroom – you couldn’t bring yourself to do his laundry while he was gone, when you missed him too much you’d sleep in his clothing. “I swear, I just – ha! actually, uh, give me a second, this curse is making it interesting now. heh! I’ll call you back in a few, wont be long – love you, babe! I’ll call you back in a sec.” you scoff, it was so like satoru to call you during a mission. you used to scold him all the time about it, worrying about his safety, reminding him that he wasn’t invincible, that he was just a man. placing the heavy bags on the floor temporarily, you unlock the apartment door, groaning as you settle the groceries on the countertop. moving fluidly to put away the groceries, choices littered with satoru’s favourites, his favourite mochi, that gross sugary melon soda that he drank all the time, ingredients for his favourite beef curry. you smile thinking about him. your satoru. picking up the phone you hear his bright voice, “sorry sweetheart, uhh – what was I saying? oh yeah, I was thinking that after this mission we should go on vacation! I just miss you so much, y’know? I feel like we never get time to ourselves, it’s either you’re on missions or I am… “
he was right. It had been a while since you had time for each other, but you didn’t mind – he called you whenever he could. you and satoru understood the demand of your jobs, the oath you swore, but more time was always welcome. “i.. I know I say it all the time, but i love you so much, y’know? I can’t wait to see you again sweetheart – really. I just.. I don’t know what I’d do without you. ha, I guess im just missing you more than usual.. “ he says sheepishly. “I love you. …love you sweetheart, i’ll be with you real soon.” “i love you too, satoru.” you whisper fondly. your favourite part. you sigh heavily, waterline overflowing. tension still in your body. that was the end of his voicemail. you move to replay it from the beginning, it was the only thing that you listened to now a days since he died 3 months ago. “hey, sweetheart! – look okay, don’t be mad, but I went to a new bakery after I was done with that curse I called about yester–” you stare at your phone, the closest thing that you had left of his presence. his voice still lingers in your head, even when your phone runs out of battery – the loneliest time. slowly moving to put on his hoodie as you wipe your tears, you think you miss him a little more today.
a/n: sorry everyone! ( • ᴖ • 。) this one hurt to write. i think we all miss this blue eyed yapper. what did yall think about this one? -- dividers by @/adornedwithlight

I lay in the unfamiliar bed, staring up at the blank ceiling which has a sliver of light from the moon. I groan and sit up, pulling off the thick blanket and slipping on my socks to protect my feet from the cold floor.
I stand up in my patterned pajama pants and thin tank top, already cold but I’m just grabbing a glass of water so I should be back and warm soon. I leave my room and eye the door to Kimis, directly across from mine. I pull my eyes away and sneak down the stairs, walking softly on the ball of my foot.
I’m glad I can find the kitchen in the dark. I've been here for two days, on vacation with my family and the Antonellis and haven’t had the chance to look around properly.
I’ve been busy with my sisters and trying to avoid Kimi. I pour my glass, adding some ice and mindlessly tapping my finger against the glass. My family hasn’t known his for long, that’s why it’s so weird for me I suppose.
But our parents love each other and our siblings get along great. Kimi and I are a bit different, I feel like he doesn’t like me but sometimes I catch him staring. Like yesterday at the beach, his cheeks were all red and it wasn’t from a sunburn.
“Hey.” I scream at the sudden voice, whipping around to see Kimi standing there, his eyes wide and his hands up in surrender. “Ay! I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” He whisper yells as I put my hand on my chest, breathing in and out to calm my rapidly beating heart.
He’s biting back a laugh as I catch my breath, “I thought I was about to get killed!” I whisper angrily, “Shit, Antonelli why is the only time you’re quiet the middle of the night!?”
He walks closer and I finally appreciate how close he is. He’s got fluffy socks on, plaid pajamas and a black T-shirt. Shit. How does one look so good in pajamas!?
“I didn’t mean to give you a heart attack.” He’s holding a mug and when I eye it, he holds it up a bit, “Cioccolata calda.” Hot chocolate? Random, yet endearing, “want some?”
I sit at the counter as he makes me a cup, “Thanks,” I say softly as he hands me the mug. I sip it and almost moan at the taste, “This is so good!”
He smiles and I ignore the feeling that takes over my body, “Was my nonna's specialty.”
I take another drink, “You should seriously consider changing career paths.” I’m not kidding either, I feel like I’m drinking gold.
He laughs lowly, “Glad I know what to make you in the future.” He sips his drink as we sit in silence. Any thought of being warm in my bed has gone out of my head. I look up to Kimi who’s looking past me, to the balcony.
As if he willed it to happen, a bang sounds. It makes me jump at first but when I turn and see the shimmer in the sky, I realize it’s just fireworks. “No way.” Kimi hurries over to the windows, trying to make as little as sound as possible when he opens the aged glass door.
I follow, the chill air hitting me as soon as I step onto the balcony. Kimi rests his forearms on the railing, looking up like it’s the coolest thing he’s ever seen. My eyes soften as I watch how his hair is blown slightly in the wind, his curls falling perfectly.
I shake my head and sit on the floor, leaning against the door, “Why right now?” I say out loud, Two in the morning is an odd time to put on fireworks.
I see Kimis shoulders shrug, his muscles straining against his shirt as he bends over… I look away to the fireworks as more explosions happen, trying not to focus on Kimi and how this is the first time we’ve been alone for a while.
Like I said, we’re family friends. I’ve known him for about two years and we get along fine. Just not best friend material I guess, especially for how much he travels. I went to a race and he surprised me by hugging me. I had pushed him off as he grinned that stupid grin, told him he was too sweaty.
Our moms thinks we’re meant to be, Kimis family loves me and my dad never had a son so talking to him about football and racing is a perfect fit.
But I’ve had a boyfriend, emphasis on had. He broke my heart blah blah blah now I have trust issues. The last time we were this close, it was a couple months ago, and I had been so distraught that I forgot who I was with and started crying. He was obviously shocked at my sudden outburst, but listened as I vented about my ex and had even looked past the fact that I told him about my loss of virginity (incredibly embarrassing to look back on and I’d like to forget that I told Kimi about my sex life)
But he had been kind and quiet, listening and handing me his bag of popcorn as I sobbed. It was mortifying but not awkward. Kimi has a soft sort of presence that I feel comfortable in, hence why I’m outside with him in my pajamas.
Kimi steps back, sitting down next to me, his arm brushing mine. The fireworks cease and all I can hear is Kimi breathing.
“I like your socks.” I snort, finally eyeing them fully. They are fluffy but i’m now realizing they’ve got a grinch design on them, “Points off for it not being christmas though.”
He laughs with me, “I have no others! It’s colder than I expected here.” I shiver as he says it. “I bought them today.”
“From that girl at the shop?” I laugh, “She ask you out?”
The girl at the shop looked around our age, maybe a bit older. She was definitely interested in Kimi though, giving me the death stare.
He shakes his head, “Asked for my number.” I hum as a response, wondering if he gave it but knowing I shouldn’t be this curious, “Said you were my girlfriend though.” This gets my attention.
“What?” I choke out.
“I’m not really looking to ditch everyone for a girl this trip. Atleast, not her.” He shrugs and before I can be confused, he stands up and leaves.
I honestly expect him to leave me out here, he got up so randomly and-
He walks back out with a fluffy blanket, handing it to me. “Oh my god, I could kiss you!” I laugh and take the blanket, wrapping it around me and grinning at the warmth.
“That a promise?” He says cheekily. I eye him and open up the blanket, he only laughs and sits back down, taking the other side around him so we’re squished together.
“You wish.” I scoff.
“Yeah, maybe I do.” He shrugs, looking at me as I bite my lip.
I look away, drinking my hot chocolate which is cold now. “That mouth of yours is gonna get you in trouble, one day.”
“As long as you’re the one to give me my punishment.” I almost choke and he starts laughing hard, “I’m sorry! You’re too easy.”
I shove his arm a bit, “I hate you!”
He giggles more, poking my cheek, “You’re all blushy!” He drags out the last word as I turn my head farther away from him, laughing with him now.
“You’re the worst!” I groan, my cheeks on fire.
“Good to know I can get another reaction out of you besides an eye roll!” I cover my face with the blanket. “Bet I could get a lot of other reactions out of you.”
I squeal, “Shut up!” I say, whipping my head around to frown at him. He's grinning, all toothy with the moon shining down on his curls.
His smile falters, “Make me.” My heart is pounding and I can feel his soft breath against me.
He’s not backing up. I know he wouldn’t say that unless he wanted me to keep going.
I inch closer, his eyes flicker to my lips, then back to my eyes. His expression, fuck, I want to capture it forever.
I bring my hand to his neck, my freezing hands contrasting his hot skin. I drift my lips over his.
I pull him closer, my eyes closing as our lips touch. It’s soft at first, curious. Then his hand moves to my waist and it turns hungry. It’s fucking fireworks.
He slips his tongue in my mouth, his hand tightening on my waist. My hand goes to his hair as he bites my lip softly.
Hes melting into me, my head goes back and his lips go to my neck, “Fuck, Antonelli-”
“Try again.” He says without hesitation, all breathy and rushed. I let out a laugh as he pulls back.
I drift my hand under his shirt, leaning in and whispering, “Kimi.”
He grins, nodding and staring at my lips. I roll my eyes and kiss him again, pushing him down. He grips my hips and tugs me on top of him.
“Risky.” I say, nodding to the window we’re next to.
Kimi smirks, brushing my hair behind my ear, “Hot.”
“Freezing.” I move off him as he groans, I grab the blanket and pull it around me.
“I’ll warm you up in my room.” He winks as I sigh and stand, He scrambles after me.
“No!” I swat at his chest as we return inside, I’m already reeling about our make out, “We’re getting up early to hike.”
“Fane sickness! House to ourselves?” He’s holding both of our mugs.
“You’re getting ahead of yourself.”
He stops, licking his lips, “Joking! Kinda.” I smile a bit just because he’s so damn cute, “My doors always open, Y/L/N.” He sets the mugs down in the sink and we continue up the stairs in silence.”
We get to our shared hallway, pausing.
“Goodnight, Antonelli.”
He looks content, leaning down and kissing me softly on the cheek, “Sweet dreams.”
“After that? I definitely will.” I joke and a look of pleading appears again.
“Come in my room.” he deadpans.
I push him back a bit as he smirks and I open the door to my room. He does the same, waving slightly before he disappears.

THIS WAS A SET UP??!
⪼ home
smiling, toge gently set yuta’s phone back on the table it laid on previously. you’d actually believed he was yuta, honestly, toge’s shocked how well he managed to sound like him. “i’m out, yuta! i gotta study for this test tomorrow!” toge called out to yuta who was still in the bathroom taking his shower. “mkay! just close the door on the way out!” he screamed back from behind the bathroom door. the click of the front door could barely be heard from the rushing water. you had gotten yuta’s location after ‘he’ had asked you to come over. for someone you thought was so shy, he sure was pretty forward in that moment. you thought it’d take another 3 years before yuta adjusted to you even being in his life, let alone inviting you over to stay at his dorm.
you played your music quietly in your headphones as you searched for his dorm. purposely walking just a little bit slower so you could enjoy your music a little more. when you saw the dorm number, you double checked to make sure you weren’t at some other guy’s dorm at almost 10 pm. after knocking on his door, you heard the quiet taps of footsteps and shuffles come to the door, and when he opened it…
all your eyes could focus on was the fact he was shirtless, drying his damp hair with a small white towel. “hm?” your mouth felt dry, and he didn’t even notice it was you until he opened his eyes and saw you staring at him. his face turning a bright shade of red when he noticed that he was partially naked, in front of the person he actually really fucking likes. ‘y-yn?!” he couldn’t help his stutter. he didn’t even know you were coming, or how you got his dorm number, but in all honesty, he didn’t mind one bit.
“is this a bad time..? i can go back.. but i you called me over this late and…” you rambled a little and yuta was trying to hide his goofy little grin before the realization hit him. “wait… i invited you? i’ve been in the shower for the past… toge.” he mumbled the last bit before he let you into his dorm. everything was so yuta. from the dirty white converse that lay messily by the front door, to the taped posters on his walls. his small kitchenette was in an organized mess and pictures hung neatly against his black fridge.
when you walked into the kitchen, you noticed one of the pictures. a small 4 picture strip the two of you guys took at the fair. your smile grew, as you looked back at him. his toned muscles were the first thing in your view as he had his back faced away from you so he could talk to toge. all the other pictures were of him on various trips, his friends and what looked like him and a little girl next to each other, dated in 2007. he clicked off his phone and walked up to you.
‘yeah toge invited you to stay… if you’re not comfortable then you don’t have to stay if you don’t want..” he sounded serious, but you couldn’t help but look down “yu… are you wearing minecraft boxers?” he quickly looked down and went behind the counter to cover his lower body. “oh my god… i forgot i was like… completely naked! let me get dressed!” he went to run to his room but you held his wrist gently and laughed “they’re cute! i didn’t think you’d have something like that!” he looked at you. why wasn’t he as embarrassed as he should be? all he could think about was you, your smile and the way your eyes closed when you smiled widely.
clearing his throat, he looked at you, trying to change the topic and skew it away from his boxers. “i saw that you were looking at the pictures on the fridge…” you were reminded of the pictures. specifically the one of you two that resided directly in the middle, like he’d saved that space just for you. “yeah! i see you put our picture up!” he smiled and recalled the memory.
“c'mon yuta! let’s take a picture!” you pulled him into the photo booth. after all the riding around you guys did, it was nice to get a small break in between. you grabbed a $5 out of your purse and put into into the slot. he thought the flashing light just made your face 10 times more radiant than normal. “do a silly face!” you grabbed him and pulled him close. his heart practically jumped out of his chest when he felt the warmth of your hand grip his arm. he copied your face before you directed him to make more faces. but the last one was different, you had blown a kiss towards the camera and he just couldn’t stop staring at you. your lipgloss made your lips plump and shiny, and that was all he could think about. when the photos were finished, you left the booth to look at the two strips of pictures with a smile.
“ugh! i love these so much!” you exclaimed before gently setting them into your purse, and him, his pocket before going off to the next ride.
“yeah. i really like those ones.” he looked at them longingly before you pointed at the other picture you were looking at. “who’s this?” your finger leading up to the dated picture, you looked over at him as he bent down to look at where your finger was pointed. “that’s me and my little sister, i was 6 and she was 5, so we were probably on our way to school then.” he laughed and looked over. “you’d like her alot, she’s really sweet. i think you two would have a lot in common.”
the two of you were up for a while, just talking. before you felt your eyelids grow heavy. you laid on his couch and closed your eyes. he hadn’t even noticed you fell asleep until he looked over and noticed how slow your breathing got. you looked at peace. he went over to you before gently picking you up off the couch and to his bedroom. he laid you on his bed and covered you in his blanket, the smell of him filling your nose. he pushed your hair back slightly and kissed your forehead before making his way back to the living room with a blanket to sleep on his couch, while you laid comfortable in his room.

You Really Think I'd Say No
For months you kept convincing yourself that Austin was going to propose. Any time he’d take you somewhere fancy for date night, you thought he was going to propose. Whenever he’d offer to pay for you to get your nails done, you thought he was going to propose. It reached a point where you convinced yourself that you were going mad; just because the two of you were in a good place didn’t mean that he was going to propose to you.
However, Austin knew that a romantic proposal and a beautiful wedding were both things that you desperately wanted. You were a reader. You’d grown up with your nose buried in fairy tales and books where the main characters got their happy ending with the guy making some romantic gesture that meant something to the two of them alone; and Austin was determined he was going to give that to you.
He’d had the ring for just over a year now, never going anywhere without it, not wanting to risk you finding it before he was ready; he needed this proposal to be perfect and he wasn’t about to let you stumbling across the ring ruin anything.
You’d began to give up on guessing when Austin was going to propose, every time ended up being a dead end so, when Austin came home from filming one evening with a huge, excited grin on his face and a pep in his step that he never usually had after a day of filming, you didn’t think anything of it.
‘I think we should go out tonight,’ he said, throwing himself down on the sofa next to you and leaning in to press a quick kiss to your lips.
‘Aren’t you tired?’ you asked, curling your body into him and resting your head against his shoulder.
‘Not really, it was a good day, I think it’s the adrenaline still running through my system, I’ll crash out later but now, I just want to take my beautiful girlfriend out,’ he replied, kissing the top of your head and laying his hand on your thigh, squeezing lightly.
‘But I’m not dressed to go out anywhere, I’ve not got my make up on, I’m in my pyjama’s, Austin,’ you protested half-heartedly.
‘You don’t need any make-up, we don’t have to go to a restaurant or anything. Give me a second to get changed and we’ll head to the park. You stay here and I’ll be back in a second.’
‘Hang on, I need to get changed too!’
‘Nope,’ Austin said, gently pushing you back down onto the sofa, his arms caging you in, his scent mixed with how close he was making your eyes flutter closed. ‘It’s dark out, it’s late, there’s not going to be anyone there at this time of night,’ he said lowly, pressing his lips to yours in a deep but teasing kiss that had you wanting more.
‘Okay,’ you replied breathily, willing to agree with anything he said in that moment.
Austin smiled at you brightly before darting up the stairs and returning a couple of minutes later wearing a pair of grey sweatpants and a plain white t-shirt. ‘Ready to go?’ he asked, holding his hand out to you.
‘I can’t believe we’re going out like this,’ you said, laughing lightly as you placed your hand in his and let him lead you out the front door.
Just as he’d said, the park was empty when you got there so you didn’t really mind wandering around, hand in hand while the two of you were just wearing your pyjamas; in fact, there was something freeing about it that had you secretly wishing that you could do it more. You wandered until he gently pulled you to a stop by one of the benches that lined the pathway.
‘I love this bench,’ you said, smiling at him as you sat down, pulling him with you. Austin chuckled when you spoke, throwing his arm around your shoulders and pulling you into him. This was the bench where Austin had kissed you for the first time. It was your fourth date and you both decided to keep it simple; going for a coffee and a wander around the park. You’d stopped at this bench to retie your shoelace and, when you stood back up, Austin’s hands cupped your face and his lips connected with yours. It was perfect.
‘How about we make another happy memory at this bench,’ he said, watching you as your eyes closed, content to be sitting with him in the warm summer night, his fingers tracing light circles on your shoulder.
‘What? Sitting here in our pyjamas?’ you teased, turning your head to smile at him.
‘I was thinking more along the lines of making this the place where you agreed to being my wife.’
Your whole body froze when he spoke, turning your whole body to face him. ‘What?’ you whispered, tears gathering in your eyes as you watched Austin move off of the bench to get down on one knee in front of you, reaching into his pocket to pull the most beautiful ring you’d ever seen out.
‘(Y/N), I love you. I love you so much, I never thought it was possible to love someone this much until you came into my life. I know that you’ve always dreamed of this perfect proposal and I’m sorry if this isn’t what you had in mind but all day, I’ve been thinking about how I want to make you my wife and, to me, this couldn’t be more perfect. Just the two of us, one of our favourite places without having to worry about how we look in case we’re spotted. (Y/N), will you please marry me, even if it’s just so I can wake up to and come home to you every day for the rest of our lives?’
You couldn’t speak. You couldn’t move. You were in complete shock at the proposal, it being the last thing that you’d think of when Austin suggested going out in your pyjamas earlier that night. ‘I,I,’ you began, not able to get words out.
‘I get if you say no,’ Austin was quick to reassure you. ‘I get it, this isn’t the big romantic proposal that you’ve always dreamed of but,’
‘It’s perfect.’ You cut Austin off, wrapping both of your hands around his, leaning down until your face was level with his. ‘I don’t care that it wasn’t some elaborate thing, I love how it’s just us, it’s our moment.’
Austin grinned at you before pressing a quick kiss to the back of your hand. ‘So, is that a yes?’
‘You really think I’d say no,’ you laughed lightly, leaning in to press your lips to his.
‘I’m gonna need to hear you say it baby,’ Austin mumbled against your lips, a smirk growing on his face.
‘Yes, Austin, I’ll marry you.’

sex concept-2
paige x oc
paige’s pov!
wc: 754
part one
—
this is the first time in quite a few years i’ve woken up with a woman on top of me, in my bed, in my clothes, and haven’t fucked her. not that i don’t want to. in fact, i really want to. she just won’t let me.
“p…” i hear scarlett whimper on top of me, shifting in a way that gives me a blissful whiff of her shampoo.
“mhm?” i answer, wrapping my arms around her. she turns her face into my neck, muttering something about how my room’s “so goddamn fucking cold,” and i think i fall in love right there, trying to pull her closer into me to keep her warm. i guess she wakes up fully a few moments later, because she rolls off of me, sits up, and says,
“i really should go home, i’ve got a date with one of my friends in two hours.”
No way she’s about to go on a date with anyone other than me, even though she’s technically not mine. I grab her and hold her to my chest, letting her squeal and demand to be released.
“let me go, bro, come on, paige.”
“nun uh, gotta have you close to me for just a little bit longer. i’ont got practice for another hour and a half, baby, we could stay here till then.”
i see her resolve falter, her pupils blow wide as she listens to me trying to sweet-talk her down. when her eyes flit down to my lips, i try to swoop in, press them to hers, but she places a hand right over my face.
“i really, need to go. thank you so much!” she crows, scrambling out of my bed and out the door, leaving her dress and taking my pants. it’s okay, really, i think as i watch her leave. i let the moment of her scurrying out in my clothes replay in my mind until my phone rings, with kk yelling to remind me we have practice in 30 minutes.
~
“normally after paige gets pussy she plays like a mad woman,” kk remarks, nudging azzi, who had just commented on my two missed layups.
“fuck all the way off, kamorea,” i mutter, storming towards the locker room.
“damn, she leave you hanging?” azzi asks, smirking at me.
“yes, bro, she told me she doesn’t fuck athletes,” i whine, burying my face in my hands. azzi pats me on the head, saying,
“what a shame, she’s really cute. scarlett, right? of course, you got her number so maybe you could change her mind or something.”
my face goes red, then pale. “No, azzi, i didn’t get her number, because i couldn’t think to ask her any of that shit. she shakes her head, walking out and calling that i should have tried harder, and to do something about my layup situation.
~
later that night, after a long, hot shower to contemplate my recent issues, i open instagram, set on scrolling a bit then going to bed. i lay down, and my plans are destroyed by the still lingering scent of scarlett on my pillows, my blankets, my sheets, my skin. i find myself opening her instagram, moving my hand between my legs. it’s sinful, how quickly i come onto my own fingers, with her name on my lips, just from a picture of her. i lean back, languidly scrolling through her photos, appreciating her. i’ve scrolled just a bit too far when i accidentally click the heart near the bottom of my screen. i panic briefly, then decide to leave it. let her see me stalking her. i plug my phone in, laying it facedown and turning over to scream into my pillow. my phone buzzing has me jolting up and grabbing it, nearly shrieking in delight at an instagram notification from @scar_let
why u stalking me, creepy
i giggle, unable to control myself
just can’t seem to get you outta my mind, ma
i reply back. i hope she thought it was slick, and not overly creepy and cringe.
bet you were rubbing one out to my old high school volleyball pictures
this girl, goddamn. she’s not right, but she’s not necessarily far from the truth.
you’d have lost that bet because i wasn’t rubbing one out to your high school volleyball pictures
i smirk, watching as the message goes to seen, and she starts typing.
wanna show me what you were doing then?
and then next message is an address, with a little winking face.

I’ve had a crush on my roommate since we met in the summer, and I thought he liked me too, but he said we couldn’t when I finally got up the nerve to ask him out before break. He said he had to do something first, and left for break. I was so sad, but then on new years he texted me his resolution had been to become a “real man” for me this year… any idea what I should expect now that break is done?
A Real Man
You hoped that winter break would be a nice break from the weight of your confession to your roommate, Sean, but it was all you could think about. Had you made a mistake? Did you miss the signal?
You had talked with Sean occasionally, but not as much as on New Year's. While you didn't believe in all the superstitions around it, you still silently made a wish for the new year; making Sean yours. As the new year rolled in, you celebrated alone, hoping your wish would come true.
Fortunately, the wait wouldn't be long. Just a few minutes past midnight, you get a text on your phone from an unlikely source, Sean. Soon, the two of you were in full conversation. With plans for the new year being discussed, he drops a bomb. “Just letting you know, my resolution is to be a real man for you this year," he texted.
Intrigue came over you as you continued to text back and forth with him. As the conversation died down, he sent a final message that stopped you in your tracks. "Hope to see you soon, until then, hope these can hold you over." He sent the message with two attached photos, and as you scrolled up to see them, your jaw dropped.
The photo leaves you breathless, as you lay witness to just what he meant. He was huge, practically unrecognizable. Drooling over the pictures, to rushed to reply, "I hope to see you soon!" You winced at the exclamation mark in your text, hoping you weren't coming off too thirsty, but dirty thoughts were buzzing throughout your mind.
With winter break drawing to its close, you decided to leave early for campus, packing your bags and booking your flight. While you mainly wanted the extra time to pack, being able to see Sean too wouldn't hurt at all. You scheduled an Uber before getting on your flight, not wanting to bother anyone for a ride on campus. With goodbye texts sent, you got on the plane and dozed off as you got in the air.
As your plane begins its descent, you come to. You start to check for any missed texts, when you're met with one that catches your eye.
"I'll come get you from the airport."
Sean attached two photos of him and simply replied, "I'm ready." You trembled at the certainty of his response, even through text, and braced yourself for the car ride home.
As he put your suitcases in the car, his muscles bulged through his tank top, making your heart flutter. "Thank you so much," you said as you put your duffel bag in his car. "This is the treatment you deserve," he said as he laid a kiss on your forehead. You blushed, not used to this level of chivalry. The two of you recapped your winter breaks on the ride back, with giggling and somber moments included.
He brought your luggage inside, and you were entirely confused as to the sudden change in character. With the last of your bags inside, you demanded an explanation. The two of you sat down as he began to explain. "I know it sounds crazy, but I knew I wasn't right for you back when you first asked," he said. He continued, "That was my wake-up call, and so I had to get things right so I could live up to my promise." His expression darkened as he got closer, now standing above you. "I want to show you just how ready I am if you let me." Your reply was breathy, as your voice began to tremble under his dominance. "I want you, Sean." His response came in a dark tone:
"Kneel."
Your body responded before your mind could, as you kneeled on the floor, grasping onto his massive hands. He pulled down his pants, and his cock rose up in an instant. Looking over his huge dick, you wondered how you were going to suck it. Hoping to not have that question answered, you began giving him a handjob, your hands made minuscule against his massive cock.
But it was clear that wasn't enough. Sean looked down and moved your hands off his dick. His rock-hard cock was once more in your face, and you knew what was coming next.
Opening your mouth wide, he slid his cock inside your mouth. As he filled you up, you were forced to breathe from your nose, as his cock went further and further down your throat. Sean threw his head back in pleasure and began slowly sliding his cock out, immediately leaving you wanting more. In an instant, his hand was now gripping your head, as thrust his cock in and out of your mouth.
Cum had filled every part of your throat, and your face was a mess. He had asserted himself. His softer side revealed itself as he helped clean you up, picking you up and taking you to the shower, where he finally fucked you, his cock filling you like a key in a lock. It was bliss. As hot water made the heat inside you burn even hotter, you couldn't help yourself from coming, and Sean, noticing your release, sped up his thrusts to catch up to you.
The both of you finished your shower, even messier than when you entered. You both slept in Sean's room that night, as you cuddled deep into him. Sean had shown exactly what he meant, and you were overjoyed. It was looking like a wonderful start to your semester, and you thanked your lucky stars that your wish came true.

Comfort
Reader x Daryl Dixon
Warnings: Smut, 18+ only
A/n: This is smut but it’s like the fluffiest sappiest smut, it’s meant to be really emotionally gratifying. Also I’ve really kinda half heartedly set it up for a part 2 where they reunite with the group and Rick…let me know if you think I should continue this!
Summary: after the prison fell, you and Daryl start to mourn what you’ve lost and find comfort in each other, both emotional and physical.
————————————————————————
The last couple of weeks had been such a blur. After the prison fell, you were thrown back into survival mode and all sense of security was gone. You never knew where your next meal would come from, or whether you were minutes away from death. You were grateful you’d gotten out in the company of Daryl and Beth; you’d always gotten along with both of them and Daryl was one of the most experienced survivalists. It was nice having Beth to talk to and relate to the experience as well, neither of you being natural outdoorsmen. Even if he was a grumpy ass most of the time, and she was still a bit of a bratty teenager at heart, you’d fast grown extremely reliant on both of them being around you.
You’d all found a small shack to hole up in for a couple of nights, you’d also found a stash of moonshine in the cupboard. Beth had been insistent on trying her first drink. It made you both amused and sad when you compared her experience to your teenage party years, so while Daryl disapproved you thought it was only fair to have your own little party. That’s how the three of you ended up on the living room floor, laughing your heads off.
“Really Y/N, you never been camping?!” Beth questioned incredulously.
“Yer even more a princess than I thought” scoffed Daryl.
“Yeah yeah,” you laughed, “well I suppose my whole life’s a big camping trip now.”
“Alright alright, my turn!” Daryl exclaimed. “I never… bin to a wedding”.
“You what?! Daryl that’s just sad” you said before taking a large swig of the homemade booze.
“Yeah, even I’ve been to a couple. Only other time I drank any liquor, daddy let me have a glass of champagne” said Beth.
“What part of my life was a fucking shit show before all this do you two not get” he grumbled.
You rubbed his arm, “alright we know, just teasing you” you smiled.
Beth’s giggles turned to hiccups, and she eventually lay her head down on the sofa and you realised she’d gone to sleep.
You nudged Daryl and nodded at Beth. He smiled at you, and pointed to the singular bedroom in the shack- suggesting you and he should move into the other room so as not to wake her.
The room was small; a double bed took up almost all the floor space, so you plopped yourself down on it. Daryl followed, carrying the bottle of moonshine with him. He took a sip before passing it to you, who did the same.
“She’ll be right” he gestured to the door, referring to Beth in the other room.
“I know” you replied, “we’ve all been there, she just needs to sleep it off.”
He nodded and you fell into an easy silence, both taking additional sips now and then. You grew pensive, and some of the thoughts you’d been mulling around for days started to come to the surface. The tipsy haze in your brain had your lips moving before you even knew you wanted to share what was on your mind.
“I don’t think I’ve said it,” you said, looking to Daryl, “but I’m so grateful for the two of you. The amount of times I’ve wondered what kind of state I’d be in if I was on my own…”
“Can’t be thinkin like that” he replied gently.
“I know. It’s just, it makes me mad to think about how quickly our circumstances changed. Things were so good Dar, they were finally all coming together. And then…..it’s just nothing in this world can ever really work can it?” You were rambling a little, but Daryl didn’t look like he was going to challenge you or tell you to be quiet. He just looked at you sadly.
“Do you think we’ll ever see any of them again?” You whispered to him. A tear escaped your eye and started to trickle down your cheek.
“I don’t know” he replied, and to your surprise he reached towards your face and softly wiped the tear of your cheek, “but I’m glad we’re here together too”.
He didn’t remove his hand from your face, in fact he gently cupped your chin. You leaned into it, while his head dipped closer to you and he planted a soft kiss on your lips. You closed your eyes and allowed the sweet sensation to wash over you.
When he pulled back away he looked unsure of himself, and mumbled a “sorry” to you.
You shook your head, placed your hands on his chest and leaned back toward him, kissing him more deeply this time. His tongue crept into your mouth and started to dance with yours.
Your hands drew up behind his neck as the two of you continued, and he reached for your waist, pulling you into his lap. The kiss grew needier as you straddled him; it wasn’t a need driven by pure sex and physical desire. It was like all the emotions you’d been feeling since the prison poured into your movements, and Daryl lapped them up and returned them with his own. You could’ve been hugging, or crying in each others arms, but instead you were kissing and writhing against each others bodies and it had the same cathartic effect.
You clung onto him as he pulled his lips away from yours briefly, to gently and slowly peel your dirty shirt up from your body. You allowed him to manoeuvre your arms overhead so he could take it off and toss it aside. He then reached around and unclasped your bra, and took a moment to stare at and admire the sight before him.
“You’re beautiful” he almost whispered, starting to run his hands over your breasts and grope them lightly. “I’m gonna take care of you Y/N, I promise”.
You were almost overwhelmed at this moment of pure bliss. You’d never thought there’d be anything sexual between you and Daryl. He was one of your best friends, with a bond like family. Sure he was hot. You’d notice his biceps peaking out of that winged vest and your heart might’ve quickened slightly every time you saw the way he gripped his motorbike handles. But you’d always just been friends.
Let alone the fact that you actually had a thing with his best friend. You and Rick had never defined whatever it was between you, but there was denying when he snuck into your cell nearly every night who you belonged to.
But Rick was gone. You didn’t know where, or if he was even alive, or if you’d ever see him again. It played on your mind every single day. You missed him so much more than all the others, longed for him. You were sick of it eating at you, and you just wanted to feel good for the first time in weeks.
You clawed at Daryl’s shirt, and he took a break from massaging your breasts to help you remove the black tee from his body. You pressed into him as your lips found his again and you relished the feeling of his skin against yours. It felt warm and unbelievably comforting. He began to rub circles on the small of your back and you arched into his touch.
“Daryl” you breathed against his mouth.
“What do you need baby?” He asked, pulling back and grabbing your face in both of his hands, eyes searching yours.
“You…I just need you” you said pleadingly.
Daryl shifted beneath you and lifted you up to flip you onto your back on the bed.
He slowly pulled your pants down and hovered over your torso, looking at your cotton panties. He dipped down and placed a soft kiss on your abdomen, creeping along your hip line. You hummed and wriggled at the tickling sensation, enjoying it. You felt a warmth envelop you from his touches. Then his fingers hooked into the elastic around your waist and pulled the fabric down from your body.
He ran his hand back up your leg, his eyes following the movements before he flitted them up to your face. You made eye contact and he sought the non verbal confirmation that you were okay. You bit your lip in anticipation as you gazed up at him, allowing yourself to be completely vulnerable under his touch. Now fully naked on the bed.
You gasped as his fingers found their way into your fold, and began to gently stroke around. You flinched slightly as he ran over your clit for the first time, and he placed a kiss back on your lips, then trailing down your neck. He began drawing circles around your sensitive nub at a steady but not too fast pace and he lifted his head back up to study your face again.
“So beautiful” he commented. You arched your back off the bed and moan softly. He picked up the pace a little and your pleasure increased.
“Daryl” you gasped, “I need more. I want all of you”.
He nodded, stroked your hair with his free hand before withdrawing them both to unbutton and remove his pants. You lowered your eyes and watched as he freed his sizeable cock from his underpants. You sat up and leaned forward, glancing up at him with doe eyes before attaching your lips to his member.
He groaned as you took him in your warm, wet mouth. You suckled and licked around it, playing with him while lubing him up for you. His hands found their way into your hair, loosely gripping it while you bobbed your head back and forth. He threw his head back and savoured the sensation.
After a little while you pulled away and he gently pushed your shoulder so you lay back on the bed. He braced himself over you and lined himself up, gazing down into your eyes.
“I’m so glad you’re here” he whispered, hovering outside your entrance. You nudged your head up to plant a kiss on his lips.
“Me too” you said softly.
Then he slowly thrust into you. It ached just a little on the way in, but you quickly adjusted to him. For the first time in weeks you felt whole, and human, and like you were capable of something other than simply just surviving as he sank inside you.
You tensed around him and wrapped your legs around his body, which he took as a signal to start pumping his hips in and out of you. Warmth filled your body, radiating from your core to chest at the feeling of connection and intimacy. To your surprise, tears prickled your eyes as you felt emotionally stimulated as much as physically. You squeezed your eyes shut and bit onto Daryl’s shoulder, allowing his warm skin to absorb the moan that left you.
“Don’t need to keep too quiet pretty girl” he said encouragingly. You smirked and let go, noting the love bite you’d left behind before moaning out into the room this time as his hips continued to pound into you.
He pulled out briefly and you were left feeling empty and disappointed, just for him to gently grab your thigh and push your leg back towards your face, hooked behind his arm. He pushed back in and you relished the new, deeper angle.
“Fuuuck, yesss” you hissed and he smirked down at you.
“Feels good baby?” He cooed before grind his hips in a particularly deep thrust and you nodded, moaning in reply.
He picked up the pace now and you felt the heat grow in your belly, driven more by lust at this point. Your climax was building, and it was as if Daryl could tell. He drove into you faster than before, angling his hips upwards to hit just the right spot.
“Dar! I’m gonna” you began-
“I know baby, let go” he soothed.
With an almost scream you came, it rippled through you in waves and he rode it out with you. In this moment nothing else mattered, not the situation you were in, the home you’d lost, the people you’d been seperated from. It was just bliss for a perfect moment.
As your pleasure subsided Daryl snapped his hips into a few more hard times before grunting himself and moving to pull out of you.
“Don’t!” You cried without thinking, holding his hips to yours with your small hands. You felt his dick pulsate inside you as he painted your walls with his cum. It was the last, comforting gesture you wanted to take from him tonight. The feeling of him filling you up as much he possibly could.
His sweaty forehead met yours as he stopped moving, and you felt his penis jerk inside you one last time before all was still. You panted together for a few seconds, before he slowly rolled over to lay next to you.
You felt his ejaculate trickle out of you onto the bed, and groaned at the mess, grinning at him.
He looked around and grabbed a throw blanket from the end of the bed, using it to roughly wipe up you and the linen beneath you. You both chuckled, and he tossed it aside before throwing an arm around you and pulling you towards him to lay your head on his chest.
With your head on his bare skin and listening to the sound of his heart beat and the sensation of his breath rise and fall, you closed your eyes and fell asleep. He planted once last kiss to the top of your head before doing the same.
You woke with a start to the sound of birds chirping and sunlight beginning to creep in through the window, neck stiff from the angle you slept at. You felt chilly and looked down to see goosebumps over your bare body. Not just yours, you noted the extra limbs tangled with yours and remembered the situation you were in. You smiled to yourself, knowing that the amazing night was a once off for you both.
Daryl had just started to stir at your movements on the bed, before you heard movements in the other room. A female voice groaning, before stomping quick footsteps and the sound of coughing and liquid splashing the metal sink. Beth had arisen, and was experiencing her first hangover. You almost would have giggled, except you realised you had to get dressed quick and decide how to explain the two of spending the night in a small room with one double bed.
You looked back at Daryl, now fully awake and judging by the expression on his face thinking the same thing you were.
“Well, back to reality” you whispered with a shrug.
He pulled you in for one last embrace, planting a kiss firmly to your lips before whispering back “thanks for last night beautiful”.

You kiss her back- of course you do. You would be an idiot to pretend that you weren’t attracted to your neighbor turned coworker.
But as soon as you pull away, there’s a look of panic written on your face. “Uh-”
“I- I’m sorry,” the redhead apologizes quickly. “I don’t know what came over me.”
“No. No,” you state. “Don’t apologize. I just, uh…” you turn bright red, nearly as red as the woman’s hair next to you.
She stands awkwardly.
“No,” you sigh. “I- I liked that.”
She sits back down and looks you in the eye. “Oh?”
“Yeah,” you admit quietly. “I did… I just-“ you purse your lips, trying to figure out how to say this without ruining everything that you have going on right now.
“Just say what you’re thinkin’, hun,” Melissa encourages gently.
“I don’t want to ruin our friendship,” you say softly as you evade her eye contact.
“You won’t,” she promises, laying a warm hand over yours.
You suck in a breath before spilling out, “I’ve always thought you were beautiful, but I- I just divorced my husband, I have Ellie to worry about and look after, we’re coworkers now! I- this is all so complicated. I just don’t think now is a great time, and maybe not… maybe not ever.”
Those green eyes look at you with such an understanding that it hurts you- it pains you so much to not be able to give into what you so desperately want to do. You want to be selfish and pull the redhead into your bedroom, tell her that even though you’ve only known her for a short time, she makes you feel more than Jared ever had. But you can’t- because you know there are too many risks involved with this woman, and you do not want to lose a good friend, coworker, and someone that your daughter trusts and loves.
“I understand, hun,” Melissa tells you softly. “I do. It’s okay.”
“Melissa,” you sigh quietly. You stare at your hands, one of hers on top. “I am so-”
“Don’t apologize,” she instructs gently, yet also somehow sternly. “I will not hear it.”
You nod hesitantly before looking into her striking emerald eyes with tear filled eyes of your own.
“Hey,” she says gently. “Don’t cry. There’s no need to cry. We’re okay. I promise.” She tugs you in, allowing you fall into her arms. You cling to her, the perfume that she’s wearing surrounding you.
After a few seconds, you pull back. “Thank you.”
“For what?” she asks. “I didn’t do nothin’.”
“For-” you bite your bottom lip nervously. “For helping out when I need it, and for being there for Ellie, and for helping me get a job, and for… being so understanding about all of this.”
“Of course,” she smiles softly, patting your arm. “I’ll always be here to help in any way I can.” She stands. “I guess I should head back over to my place- school tomorrow.”
“I guess,” you shrug. “Or… you could stay for a little longer? Have another glass and keep watching the movie with me?”
It’s clear that you don’t want to be alone right now.
“You okay?” she asks as she sits back down and wraps an arm around you. She chuckles. “I promise I’m not trying to make any more moves on you- just trying to provide comfort. Barb is a lot better at it than I am.”
“You’re not doing too bad,” you give a choked out laugh, tears still in your eyes. “Y-yeah, I’ll be okay. Just a bit overwhelmed with this new life… missing my old one. The divorce is still pretty raw too.”
“I know that feeling,” she sighs. “My ex-husband and I divorced years ago, and sometimes it still haunts me. So, know that you aren’t alone in those feelings.”
You nod and relax into the couch cushion.
The two of you sit quietly, thoughtfully and neither of you watching the screen in front of you, before she really does have to go get to bed if she’s going to be a functional teacher tomorrow.
You see her out, thanking her again, before sighing. You close the door gently before leaning up against it. Deciding that you still don’t want to be alone, you go to Ellie’s room. She’s fast asleep surrounded by her stuffed animals, but she’s clutching something in her arms.
You gently arrange her so that you can see what she’s- she’s holding onto a picture of you, her, and your ex-husband. Jared has an arm wrapped around you, his smile is bright. You have Ellie on your hip, and she’s giggling at something that he had said to make her laugh for the picture. You have a clear look of love in your eyes as you look down on your sweet little girl.
Those times were… so good. Simple. Full of what you thought was love. If only you had known he was sleeping around with Sharon, and Sarah, and Heather, and Autumn, and… whoever the hell else he was before finally deciding to dedicate most of his time to Jen and not you.
You wipe the tears that have rolled down your cheek with the back of your hand before you simply curl up next to your daughter and hold her as you try to ground yourself. You fall asleep. holding her protectively- as if you could shield her from all of the terrible things that happen in the world. She snuggles into your body, smiling in her sleep and letting out a soft hum.
The next morning, Ellie is jumping on your chest to wake you up at the ass crack of dawn.
“Momma, momma, momma!” she shakes you.
You groan, keeping your eyes closed. “Momma’s sleeping, baby.”
“No you’re not! I’m hungry, and I wanna go to school!”
You open one eye, just barely, to see that beautiful girl of yours. You turn your head to look at the unicorn alarm clock on her pink bedside table. Next to it is the picture of your torn apart family, and your heart hurts for just a second before you see the time: 5:30.
“Elizabeth, it’s too early to be awake,” you groan as you pull her from off of you and gently set her next to you. You pull her in close to your chest. “Go back to sleep, baby girl.”
“But I’m wide awake!” she tells you.
“And I am not,” you chuckle. “Lay with me until the clock says six, and then we can talk about breakfast and getting up.”
Your daughter sighs, but she does relax against you. You hold her tight, reveling in the fact that while everything has been turned upside down in your world, Ellie is your one constant. You have your little girl- she’s all yours, and you’re going to do everything you can for her.
The next time you wake up, you’re slamming your fist on the alarm clock, turning it off. Ellie is fast asleep on your chest, the smallest droplet of drool falling from her mouth.
“Ellie Belly,” you jostle her gently. “It’s time to wake up for school, my love.”
Her little head pops up, and you chuckle at her wild bedhead. “Mrs. Howard?”
“Yes, my love,” you smile. “It’s time to start getting ready to go see Mrs. Howard.”
She uses you as a launch pad to jump up, and you let out a small groan. She’s opening her closet to pick out her outfit before you can even sit up.
You get her ready before starting on breakfast and getting yourself at least somewhat presentable for the day. You know you’re going to head into the school to set up your new room before you start to DoorDash. You should look at least somewhat professional entering the school.
As you shuffle your daughter out the door, you’re met with the redhead.
“Hey,” she smiles at the two of you, sunglasses already over her eyes.
“Miss Mel!” Ellie absolutely lights up. “Are you gonna take me to school again today?”
“Not today, little love,” you tut softly. “Momma’s gonna bring you. We’re gonna take the bike.”
The redhead frowns. “When are you getting your car out here?”
“Not for another few weeks,” you sigh.
“I can give the two of you a lift if you want,” Melissa tells you. “I really don’t mind.”
“Oh, I have to get back home somehow,” you chuckle nervously.
“You can bring my car back, so long as you promise to pick us back up at the end of the day,” the woman counters.
You bite your lip, hesitant to accept her offer to help. But Ellie is looking up at you with pleading eyes. So you nod before opening your front door back up and grabbing the booster seat for her.
You get Ellie settled in the car before climbing into the passenger seat. “Thank you.”
She just smiles at you as she pulls out of the parking garage and onto the busy streets of center city Philadelphia.
She hums softly to the music that is coming from the speakers before turning and asking you, “Any big plans for the day?”
You shrug. “I’ll probably be biking back and forth today with the supplies from the storage locker for my new room.”
“Use my car for the day,” she tells you without any sort of hesitation. “Less trips, more time to set up.”
“I- I couldn’t ask that of you.”
“You didn’t,” she chuckles. “I’m offering to help.”
“I’m paying you for gas,” you tell her, hitting her with a look that leaves no room for argument.
“No you ain’t,” your coworker laughs. “Just make dinner again sometime soon, and we’ll call it even.”
“I like it more when you cook, Miss Mel,” Ellie makes her thoughts very clear.
You roll your eyes at that comment and look back at her. She’s giving you the most innocent little smile, and your heart melts. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
Melissa pulls into a spot in the parking lot before grabbing her bags. “C’mon. I’ll show you where your room is.”
It happens to be the room right next to hers. You glance around, and you can make this work. It just needs some brightening up.
“Ellie,” the redhead says softly, gathering the attention of your daughter. “Your momma has to get going, and Miss Mel is gonna head into the teacher’s lounge for some coffee and morning news. You coming?”
Your daughter nods excitedly. “Can I bring my book?”
“Of course,” the second grade teacher smiles softly. “Say goodbye to your momma though first.”
Ellie bounces over to you and flings herself into you. You chuckle, crouching down to her level before hugging her tightly. You release her, and Melissa plants her car keys in your hands.
“Seriously,” you say softly. “Thank you. I’ll be making my poppyseed chicken tonight if you want to join us.”
She nods. “I’ll bring the wine.”
You spend most of your day heading back and forth between the storage locker that has your teaching supplies and the school. You have a thin sheen of sweat dousing your brow by the time the school bell rings to signify that the day is over, but your classroom looks great. It’s bright and full of positivity, and you couldn’t be more satisfied with the progress that you had made.
You gather your purse and a few things that you won’t be needing before heading outside to gather your girl in your arms.
“Momma!” Ellie catches sight of you before you can make your way out the door. She’s holding onto Melissa’s hand tightly with a grin on her face.
You open your arms up wide for her, and she drops your neighbors hand to come running into your arms. “Hi, my love. Did you have a good day at school?”
She nods enthusiastically before looking back at Melissa. “Mrs. Howard let me sneak into the secret room to give her a hug again. I love Miss Mel.”
“I know you do,” you chuckle.
“Can I be her helper while we wait for her to go home?” your daughter requests softly. “She needs help making sure everyone gets to their people.”
“If that’s okay with Miss Mel,” you chuckle.
Ellie walks on her toes back over to the redhead and tugs gently on her sleeve. She asks before raising her arms up for Melissa to pick her up. Of course, your neighbor obliges with a smile. Ellie wraps her arms around her neck and lays her head on the leather jacket gently.
You can’t help but smile as you watch the two of them together. Ellie is so comfortable with Melissa, and it makes your heart so happy to see that she’s content with someone besides you- she had always been a bit more hesitant around new adults. But Melissa had swooped right in and made her way into Ellie’s heart. You know that Melissa has a special place in your daughter’s heart too.
Dismissal is over, and you follow Melissa back into the school for her to gather her things, Ellie still on the redhead’s hip slumped over and clearly asleep.
You offer to take Ellie off her hands for her.
“I got her,” Melissa smiles, holding Ellie with such tender love and care.
You chuckle. “Are you sure? I know she gets heavy after a while, and you’ve been holding her for the past twenty minutes.”
“I got her,” the redhead is adamant as she grabs her purse and slings it over her other shoulder. “How’s your room coming along? Mind if I sneak in and take a look?”
You nod, although you’re nervous. You hope she finds it to be suitable. She walks in and her eyes go wide.
“Wow, Y/N,” she says softly. “This looks incredible. The kids are going to love it.”
You blush and mumble a thanks before following her out the door to head to her car. Melissa puts Ellie in the car and buckles her in with a soft chuckle. She moves the stray hairs out of her face before closing the door gently. You hand her the keys that she puts her hand out for before climbing into the car.
The ride home is peaceful. She tells you what some of your future students are up to, and she explains that they are more than excited to meet you. That makes you smile- although you hope you can live up to the hype.
When you get home, Ellie is awake and feeling refreshed from her nap. She’s immediately asking if she can help you make dinner for her favorite person. You allow her to mix the sauce together, and you can’t help the chuckle you let out when she steals a taste.
“My silly girl,” you say softly. She’s growing up before your eyes.
“Can I go get Miss Mel?!” she asks.
You roll your eyes playfully. “I think someone has a new favorite person… and it isn’t Momma! How rude!”
“No! No!” Ellie is quick to hug you tightly. “You’re my favoritest person in the whole wide world! Miss Mel is just my second favoritest person.”
You squeeze her right back. “That’s so kind of you to say. Go ahead… get Mel.”
She runs off, and you take a deep breath to collect yourself. Hearing that you were her favorite person in the world- it melts your heart. But you also remember a time where a five year old Ellie would proudly announce that Momma and Daddy were her two favorite people in the world. Now it’s just you.
A stray tear falls down your face, and you’re quick to wipe it away when you hear the front door open again.
“-And I helped Momma make it!” Ellie finishes her sentence as she drags Melissa into your kitchen.
You quickly wipe away the second tear that makes its way down your cheek before turning around with a broad smile on your face. Melissa sees right through your act though, and she gives you a questioning look. You silently shake your head, indicating that you’re fine. She doesn’t believe you and mouths that you’ll talk about it later.
Ellie launches herself up at you, and you’re quick to hold her close to you, peppering her cheeks with the kisses that she deserves. “Little miss was the best co-chef,” you let out a thick chuckle.
Dinner goes on as it usually does, and then the three of you settle on the couch. Ellie watches the usual cartoon that she loves in Melissa’s lap before she’s dozing off. You suppose that her nap only kept her refreshed for a bit.
The redhead looks down and laughs softly, rubbing Ellie’s back soothingly. “She was exhausted after recess today… told me all about the crazy game of tag she was playing with her classmates.”
“Sounds like my little girl,” you say as you settle your gaze on your sweet girl. “At least she’ll sleep through the night.”
“She doesn’t let you sleep?” the woman laughs as she looks down again.
“She uses the bathroom at least three times a night most nights… and every time, she bellows for me- poor thing is scared of the dark,” you sigh. “Even with all of the nightlights we have around. And then she’s up at the ass crack of dawn.”
“Sounds like a six year old,” Melissa laughs. “Well, I guess I should get going. School tomorrow and everything.”
You nod and take Ellie off of her. Your little girl scrunches her nose in her sleep, and you pray she doesn’t wake up. If she does, it’ll be at least another twenty minutes before your neighbor can leave for the night. Thankfully, she settles into your hold, clinging to your shirt.
“Goodnight, Mel,” you say softly. “Thank you again for helping us out today.”
“Have her ready to go at the same time tomorrow,” Melissa instructs. “I’ll take her in while you do whatever you have to get done tomorrow.” You go to protest. “And I will not be taking no for an answer.”
You close your eyes and huff. “Okay.”
The next few days continue on the same way, with Melissa taking you and Ellie to and from the school. It’s very kind of her to do. The three of you have meals together, and you and Melissa have started cooking together.
On Friday, you finish your DoorDashing shift a bit early, bike your way back to the apartment complex, and pick up Melissa’s car. You grab the things that you want to place on the desks before heading out. You pull in and get buzzed into the school.
The secretary smiles as she sees you, handing you the badge that they’ve been promising you the entire week, and you head down to your classroom.
You set the little trinkets on the desks for your students and then head over to Melissa’s room.
The weekend is nice. The three of you actually spend most of your time together. You and Melissa take Ellie to the park, you get coffee at the redhead’s favorite little shop, and then you make dinner together. Melissa helps put your daughter to bed, and it’s all good and fine.
Come Monday, you’re a nervous wreck. Ellie is exhausted from the extravagant weekend, and she is not a happy camper. Even Melissa coming over to make breakfast can’t quite wake her up.
“Momma cannot deal with this Elizabeth,” you grit out as she squirms.
At her full first name, your daughter pauses. Her little mouth forms into an ‘O’, and she stops her protests until it’s time to shuffle her out the door.
“I don’t wanna take the bike!” she groans and stomps her feet. “I wanna drive with Miss Mel!”
“And Momma wants to bike.”
“I don’t care!”
“Elizabeth Ruth,” you say sternly. You close your eyes and take a deep breath, attempting to ground yourself.
Melissa lays a gentle hand on your shoulder, and it’s so comforting.
“Miss Mel will take us today, but we cannot keep bumming rides off of her,” you tell your daughter. You get her into the car, and only when you’re pulling out of the garage does the redhead offer you a gentle smile.
“Hey. It’s all gonna be okay,” she tells you softly. “And you ain’t bumming rides off me. I like giving you guys rides.”
You shake your head and your hands out in attempts to soothe yourself.
“I know you’re nervous, but today is going to be just fine, you’ll be with me, and-”
“Why do you get to spend all day with Miss Mel?!” Ellie screeches from the back seat. The idea of you spending time with the redhead without her throws her into an absolute fit. She’s kicking your seat and crying, and you finally snap.
“Elizabeth Ruth!” you whip around. “Enough! I will only be with Melissa because I will be doing my job, and you’ll still get to see us both when Mrs. Howard walks you down to the staff room, and you will see her during dismissal!”
Your sharp voice makes your daughter freeze. Her tears subside, and she’s reduced to sniffles.
You soften. “I’m sorry, love. Momma’s just a bit stressed this morning.”
“It’s okay, Momma,” Ellie whimpers. “”s ‘kay.”
You feel bad for snapping on her, and when the three of you get out of the car, Ellie insists on staying by Melissa’s side.
“For today, you’re just sticking by my side and observing, but feel free to run out whenever you have to,” the redhead tells you once she’s gotten her stuff settled, and Ellie is sitting in one of the bean bag chairs in the back of the room. “If you need to make copies, continue setting up your room, use the bathroom… anything like that.”
“You nod.”
“I’m heading down to the staff lounge for some coffee and to watch the news if you want to join,” the redhead tells you. Ellie is immediately at her side and asking to be picked up, to which Melissa does immediately.
You follow them down to the lounge silently, nerves coming back full force.
The second grade teacher introduces you to her friends and tells them that you’re Ellie’s mother, but also their newest staff member.
Janine is quick to introduce herself and tell you that she’s willing to help you in any way you might need, that you’re so lucky to have Melissa as your mentor, and that your daughter is just the cutest thing.
Everyone else is just as kind, although not quite as interested in you. Barbara just smiles gently at you and nods- she already knows of you and the interest her work wife has taken on you.
The lounge time is nice, a time for you to recollect yourself, but it’s over far too soon. You walk Ellie down to her kindergarten classroom and give her a warm hug and kiss.
“I love you, little girl,” you whisper to her, kissing her hairline.
“I love you too, Momma,” she says just as softly. She lets you go and hugs Melissa just as tightly before telling the woman that she loves her too.
Although Ellie had said it before, this one feels much more heartfelt from your little girl, and the redhead can’t help the tears that well in her eyes. “I love you too, El.”
The two of you leave your daughter with Barbara and head back to her room.
“You okay?” the redhead asks you gently.
You nod as confidently as you can, but she can read your body language. “Nervous.”
She reaches for your hand gently and squeezes it. It’s so warm, and full of comfort, and just everything you need right now. Her eyes are soft and you can see the amount of love and care that she has for you in her eyes. You swoon- almost.
You squeeze hers back, as if to silently say thank you. And then neither of you let go. You just continue on down to her room, your hand in her own.
When you get there and pull apart, your cheeks turn red. You shouldn’t have held her hand the whole way down. But before you can apologize or say anything to her, one of the kids is running in, so excited to tell Melissa all about her day after school yesterday.
You retreat back to her back table where your things are and sigh. You watch her handle this child with so much care, but it’s just not the same as when it’s Ellie. It melts your heart that you now know that your girl has a special place in her heart. But at the same time, it makes it so much more complicated- your feelings for her.
This is going to be interesting.

The Present 🧡 Chestnut Ridge

Transcript + Bonus below the cut:
Julian: So, how long have you been living out here? Joseph: About eight years now.
Julian: Why didn’t you call me? Joseph: Figured you were finally done with me. The last time we spoke, you told me never to contact you again.
Julian: When has that ever stopped you? Joseph: [laughs] Fair. Guess it felt like you meant it this time. Julian: I suppose I did. But I’m glad you’re doing well. It’s really good to see you. Joseph: You too.
The font door opens and slams shut. Daisy: [barking] Danny: Papa!
Danny: Whoa. Um. Hi. Joseph: Hey bud, c’mon in. How was school? Danny: Good.
Joseph: Guys, this is my son Danny. Danny, this is Julian and Phoenix.
Danny: So, you’re my brother? Phoenix: I sure am. Danny: Cool. D’you wanna meet my goats? Joseph: Hey now, do you have homework? Danny: Yeah, but I can do it tomorrow. You said I can stay home, remember? Joseph: I remember. But these guys have had a long drive, so how about we give ‘em a break tonight and you can show ‘em around tomorrow. Danny: Okay.
Danny: D’you wanna help me with my homework? Joseph: Danny, what did I just say about givin’ ‘em a break? Phoenix: I don’t mind. I can help you. Joseph: You sure? Phoenix: Yeah. I mean, what are big brothers for if not to make sure you get all the wrong answers on your homework? Danny: Hey! Phoenix: I’m kidding. Let’s see what you’ve got.
Phoenix: Look at you, you don’t even need my help. Danny: Math is easy. I like numbers. Phoenix: I like math too. Danny: I don’t like the word problems, though. I have to draw them, or they don’t make sense. Phoenix: Nothing wrong with that.
Danny: Have you met Daisy? Phoenix: Not officially. But she gave me a little bit of a scare when we first got here. Danny: [laughs] That’s ‘cause she thought you were a stranger. Phoenix: She sounds like a good dog.
Danny: Mhm. She’s my dog. She protects our house, and she helps me sleep. Phoenix: Oh yeah? How does she do that. Danny: If I have nightmares, then she wakes me up and lays with me. She can even turn on the light if I’m too scared. Phoenix: That’s pretty cool. Do you have nightmares a lot? Danny: Not anymore. Phoenix: Sounds like she does a good job then.
Danny: Do you have a dog? Phoenix: Nope. I’ve actually never had one. I’ve never had any pets. Danny: You should get one. Phoenix: Maybe I will. Danny: Do you have any kids? Phoenix: Yeah, I have a daughter. Her name is Aspen, but I call her Annie. Danny: [laughs] That rhymes with my name. Danny and Annie! Phoenix: Yep.
Danny: How old is she? Phoenix: She’s two and a half. Danny: Does she like dogs? Phoenix: She does. One of her uncles has a dog, and she loves him very much. Danny: You should get her a dog of her own. Phoenix: [laughs] Maybe when she’s a little bit older. Joseph: [offscreen] Who’s hungry? Danny: Me!

Bad Ending
Notes: M!yan sidekick x Gn!reader hero, betrayal, drugging, confinement, mild noncon touching & kissing
That's it. No more of this revenge nonsense, you'll have to come with him regardless.
You noticed from the start, those intense feelings he harbored towards you were anything but mere adoration for a friend. Didn't settle with just being one of your companions, the man was convinced, or rather adamant, that he was the rightful partner you couldn’t live without, and my God did he was determined to prove it at all cost! His investigative skills were instrumental to track down the culprits behind the ruin of your family. The team never had to worry about getting stranded throughout the journey, all thanks to his incredible network introducing you to helpful locals and navigate through cities and underground system. Espionage? Fear not, years of working in palaces taught him enough etiquette of nobles to pass off as one, successfully infiltrated into the enemies’ inner circles.
The man worked, worked, and worked to the bone, hoping that one day you’d recognize how irreplaceable he was to you, accepting his fervent affections at last. He would softly put his lips on your palm, like any gentleman supposed to, congratulating your long-awaited victory over the sunset. The two of you then would enjoy the rest of life together in a countryside, just like how any love story closing with the leads happily ever after.
Pure wistful thinking. Your heart was too consumed in the pit bottom of despair and thirst for vengeance to allow such tenderness a chance blossoming. He thought love could be the thing to regain the happiness and peace back to you, and soon enough learned the bitter truth: his darling needed none of it. You didn’t ask for salvation from a white knight, rather longed for the cruel destruction of one’s own after karma finally bestowed upon your nemesis. Judging by the countless lives unjustly taken under your vindictive blade, this should be a beffiting conclusion for a vengeful hero.
…As if he would’ve allowed it.
Cocky smirk spread across the face as he was looking down on the helpless figure of his beloved. What a sight to behold! You looked delightful laying there on bed, immobilized from that suspicious drink earlier. Eyes hollowed and soulless, you’d given up resisting those touchy fingers caressing every bit of your body (not like you were able to move anyway). Smooches raining on wherever he had his hands, just served to pile up on the sickening emotions making waves inside your heart. Disgusted. Betrayed. In no possible scenarios could you ever predict that it was him, the right-hand man, your first ever teammate, your most trusted ally, would be the one bringing your downfall. Perhaps times spent within the enemies’ quarters had rubbed him off the wrong way, you should’ve never let him penetrate into that rotten den in the first place!
“No sweetie, you get the wrong idea,” he chuckled haughtily, aware of what was going on in your head, “I did not choose those imbeciles over you my love. No one will ever come close to you, that alone I can promise.”
“I’m so tired of waiting. How more are you gonna string me along darling? Is my heart not worth even a second for you to consider? Or are you only keep me around until I’ve offered up all my services, next throw me aside like a useless toy? Why is it so hard to say you love me back?!”
With each questions he grew angrier and more unstable. Pupils tinged a ray of pitch black seemingly like abyss threaten to swallow you whole. To hell with the plan, he couldn’t give a damn about your wish to avenge beloved family. They were no longer alive either way, but his feelings were. They were real, burning the mind of a lovesick man, tormenting him days and nights with frightful ideas of you drifting further away, to somewhere his arms couldn’t reach out. “This madness have to stop,” was what he murmured on the way to inform the villains about a surprise attack from your team that night.
And so, this is the ending of a tragic hero, a disappointing one at that: No justice to clear the name of your household. No noble death to atone for your sins. Forever caged in a twisted love game of one’s very own traitor.

SILENCE - ONE SHOT
Silence.
Suguru thinks his life has been quite silent lately. Yes, the twins talk to him. Miguel and Larue too. In fact, they always talk to him.
Sometimes he thinks it might be too much, more than he can bear. “Perhaps adopting two five-year-old girls when I was 17 was a bit impulsive”, he thinks while brushing his hair for the first time that day.
However, those thoughts vanish once he has breakfast with them. Cereal for Mimiko, every morning. Nanako, on the other hand, insists on mimicking his traditional breakfast; not just the miso soup and rice bowl, but also the green tea and coffee. But she is too young for those stimulants. Orange or grapefruit juice is fine.
Sometimes, he looks at them with concern. He is not sure if he wants the same life for them. Perhaps a bit of normalcy is all they need.
And his life is anything but normal.
Once a week, he decides to take an afternoon for himself. As soon as he finishes teaching them what they should be learning in a traditional school, he leaves them with Miguel. He takes them to play, to different places. The square, the park, sometimes even drives to the beach. He knows from the photos and videos his loyal number two takes that they have an incredible time.
"Time to play leader," he thinks as he dresses in his gojo kesa. Meetings, exorcisms, more meetings, more exorcisms. Sometimes, photo sessions. The Vessel investors believe leveraging Suguru's charisma is good for business. They are not wrong. It has grown significantly since social media began.
Ugh, Facebook, Instagram, Line. They are not his style at all. Nevertheless, he pretends. And he is very good at it. Otherwise, he would not be the most sought-after exorcist in the Japanese archipelago.
But there is something he does like about social media. As if reading his mind, it suggested a contact for him. His fingers almost instinctively went to the profile.
"Of course, Satoru doesn’t have it private," he thought when he saw it. More than six hundred posts, all at his disposal. Some might think the albino did it out of egotism, but he believed he knew the truth. It was not just ego, but a desire to share. Perhaps, even a desire to share with him. His travels around the world, his selfies with his students (who were obviously there against their will), his meals. Sometimes, even reflections. Sure, maybe a comparison between Pepsi and Coca-Cola was not the deepest thing from his mind, but still; it was his mind. He laughed, noticing that he had not changed substantially. But that laugh was followed by a melancholy sigh. How he missed that way of thinking.
Nobody made him laugh like that.
Absolutely nobody.
On the other hand, Suguru knew he also viewed his profile. But it was not as personal as his. On the curse manipulator's Instagram, there was only room for his cult leader persona. He could not allow anything else. He could never show his vulnerability because, when he did, nothing good came out of it; even though it had been with him, he did not realize it. So how would he notice through a screen whatever he tried to communicate?
"Get over it, Suguru, get over it," he told himself as he left home. "You don’t have time to think about this. You don’t want to, either."
Or did he? Again, he found himself going to the station where they used to meet. Why was he doing this? He knew quite a bit about Freudian theories on unconscious acts, but this was too much. The third time, in less than six months.
"I’ve got some time to kill," he thought as he sat in the same spot. It was a public place, after all. He crossed his legs and took out Runaway Horses from his bag. He began reading, his hand resting on the bench. Suddenly, his gaze shifted to the corner of it. His heart literally stopped for a second. A camellia, his favorite flower, lay there, almost as if it had always been part of the place. Unchanging, beautiful, and eternal.
Coincidence? He did not know, but nobody else knew that was his favorite flower.
He tucked it into his book, sighing.
Perhaps in his blue life, silence also reigned.

Jungwon’s Diary
pairing .. Yang Jungwon x F!Reader
Genre .. smut, friends to lovers, yandere!jungwon
warnings .. degrading such as calling the reader a “ stupid little girl, stalking, obsession, kinda violent at times, rough sex.. some fluff at the end
wrd count .. 2k
Every hour, every minute, every second, Jungwon was practically glued to his diary. Mindlessly and irrevocably scribbling every inch of his thoughts throughout the day. He always held the diary close to him and was highly possessive over it when anybody would even get remotely close to it. The fact that Jungwon always held the diary close to him isn’t even a good enough description of how much time he spends away from it which is like 1% of the time, he has even brought it with him in the bathroom when he showers.
However,
Today was a different day. Y/N and Jungwon have been friends for many, many years and got an apartment together after high school, becoming roommates. Jungwon had left the house to run some errands but Y/N was stuck alone with no plans for today so she ended up going around the apartment and cleaning. As she was fixing up and cleaning the dining room table, Y/N grabbed Jungwon’s jacket intending to put it back in his room of course but as she lifted the jacket, his diary fell out of a pocket and tumbled to the floor.
For someone to be so possessive over their diary the way that he was, what kind of outrageous and obscene things were written on those pages?
With her very curious wondering mind, Y/N grabbed the book off the floor with eager hands and flipped to a page that had a sorta recent date on the top of the page from two months ago.
“ Living with Y/N was the best idea in all of eternity. It’s like I wake up and I’m living in a dream every fucking day it’s amazing truly. I watch as she eats her breakfast, watching the way her eyes are when she first sits down and looks down at her food with hunger but happiness. The way her eyes flutter close for a second when she’s about to take a bite of her food and god when her lips part and her mouth takes in the mouthful of cereal drives me crazy-”
Y/N could feel her stomach drop the more she read. She flipped through a couple of the pages that were before that and every.single.page was 98% about her, he was practically her stalker, he followed her in secret and watched her run errands because “ I just can't bear to think all the fucking things that could happen to her when she's away from me, nobody should hurt her, nobody should touch her, and I just can't have anybody look at her the way I do.”
She should be terrified, she should’ve packed her shit and ran away. However, she kinda.. very much loved the idea and enjoyed every part of this. The way her scent drives him into a frenzy, the way he watches her sleep and sometimes catches Y/N touching herself “ I couldn’t help it today, I heard her moans when I came back from the market and I just opened her door a tad and just watched her lay back on the bed groping her breast with one hand, the other hand rubbing circles onto her clit as she had her head thrown back on the mattress, I touched myself while watching her fuck it was the best orgasm I’ve had, best day.”
She stood there in a daze with Jungwon’s diary in hand, daydreaming about Jungwon and the things he does for her and could even do to her when suddenly she flinched at the sound of something crashing onto the counter. She looked up as she saw an upset Jungwon who threw all his belongings he had there, fear rushed into her veins when her eyes met his, she was never more scared of anything or anyone in her life than in this moment, his eyebrows furrowed in and his eyes were full of anger and pure darkness.
“ What the fuck are you doing with my journal, Y/N.” He asked with a low tone in his voice that sent shivers down her spine, making her eyes immediately shoot down to look at her feet as she started playing with her hands anxiously.
“ I-I grabbed y-your jacket because I was cleaning a-and your diary fell o-out of i-it-” She sputtered out, Jungwon shook his head and scoffed at her answer. He quickly walked towards her and wrapped his hand around her neck, pushing her up against the all, and tightened his grip just a little to have Y/N grab at his hand and gasp.
“ Wrong fucking answer.” He whispered against her ear followed by a chuckle. He looked into her eyes as they fluttered, her cheeks growing a tinted red and her breathing getting heavier, she wouldn’t lie and say she was freaked out right now because in reality, seeing this side of Jungwon turned her on. She could feel her stomach heating a bit as her pussy started to get wet, staining her panties and as for Jungwon he was feeling the same, it was starting to get difficult trying to contain himself but the pressure in his pants drove his mind in a different direction.
Jungwon observed her every move, scanning her body up and down, when he finally realized she was not at all frightened by him but craving him, a grin slowly appeared on his lips. His other hand slipped down, lifting her skirt and grazing his finger against her clothed wet pussy causing her to let out a choked whimper and flinch at the sudden touch.” I’m fucking angry at you and all your thinking about is how my big dick would feel inside that pretty little pussy of yours, aren't you..? Fucking naughty girl..” He mumbled the last part under his breath but still loud enough to hear.
He released his grip from her neck, grabbing her wrist and dragging her down the hall and into his bedroom. “ J-Jungwon! W-What are you doing-!?” She asked as she stumbled behind Jungwon before he pushed her body onto the bed, climbing on top of her. “ What does it look like I’m doing, naughty girls like you who don’t fucking listen get punished.” He spat out before looking away to the side, his face getting heated up and a smile grew on his lips at the fact he was in this position with her was making him go insane but he also would never want to actually harm her, being a mean dominant was something he could do to a certain extent.
“ that’s.. alright though..right..?” he mumbled wanting to ask for consent before looking back at her, his hand softly grazing her waist. She smiled to herself, watching him for a second knowing and seeing how much he truly cared for her and liked her, she nodded her head and Jungwon smiled. His hands grabbed at her waist like he was hungry animal, his tight grip on her would definitely leave bruises, he leaned in as their lips crashed against one another so needily while their tongues danced in perfect harmony, their bodies moved in sync as they eagerly took off every article of clothing that was on each other's bodies and tossed them onto the ground.
Jungwon’s mind was racing at the speed of light, his lips traveled down from her lips onto the innocent nape of her neck, he took a moment before doing anything and took in her scent making him roll his eyes back and moan lowly to himself as he gripped tightly on her body like she was a golden prize and went down her body slowly taking in more of her scent as she squirmed under his touch, actively blushing, watching him go into a frenzy while getting a catch of her scent all along her body. She whined and tapped Jungwon to motion him to stop , growing more shy as she continued to watch him all over her body. He grabbed her hand roughly and pinned them above her head as he went back up to her neck, marking every centimeter and inch that was available with dark purplish-red hickeys. Y/N tilted her head back making room for the male as he bit all along her neck, making her slip out soft moans like he had written about before and rub her thighs together as the heat between her legs grew, with precum leaking from his tip, his mind and cock desired for more. He kissed down her body and kissed along her breast and frame down to her cunt. He kissed along her inner thighs and up onto her clit, his lips stuck themselves onto her clit as he licked and sucked on it while inserting two fingers causing her to let out a such a lewd moan at the sudden cold contact of his cold fingers on her pussy that quickly drove her mad, she wanted more.
“ J-Just fuck me already I can’t take this.” She breathed out between moans with bucked hips and her hands gripping onto his hair. Jungwon scoffed once again and nodded his head quickly “ Fuck, you don’t gotta tell me twice love” He replied as he sat up, situating himself, grabbing her hips, and aligning his tip at her entrance. His tip stroking her clit over and over again making her more aroused than she was before while her hole clenched around nothing, throwing his head back and moaning at the feeling of her. She looked up at him, biting her lower lip and watching him in admiration before he slid himself inside her finally making her gasp at this new feeling and stretching her out. He groaned, gripping her hips even tighter, throwing his head back feeling how her walls tightened and wrapped around his cock so perfectly, he stood for a second enjoying this feeling of pure ecstasy, feeling how his size made her so full. He let out soft breathy moans as she dug her nails into his biceps, wrapping her legs around his waist before letting out a relieved moan as he deepened himself inside her, stretching her out even more. She could feel how big he was inside her and it felt fucking amazing like no other.
He leaned forward, his body pressed against hers as he kissed her lips softly for a moment before hiding his face into the nape of her neck moaning into her skin. He could already feel his orgasm coming already at this point by the way her sweet, gummy walls kept tightening around his cock but he wanted more than just a quick fuck. He looked up into her face as her eyes shimmered with lust and from here he lost all control he was trying to maintain. His thrust became rough, deep, hard passionate and quite fast. His breathing changes in a matter of seconds as he starts to breathe heavily, only staying on her and keeping himself aware of how her body reacted to him. She threw her head back, her hands immediately grabbing at his hair pulling him close as her moans were spilling out of her mouth uncontrollably, her eyes shut tightly as she felt this big amount of pleasure inside her body the harder and faster he went.
“ J-Jungwon-! T-Too m-much!” She choked out and he shook his head, letting out a slight chuckle as he leaned in while one of his hands grabbed her throat and forced her to look at him. “ I-I say if it’s too much, okay? This is your punishment, stupid little girl..” He responded harshly through moans. He pulled out for a second before slamming himself back inside, her body started to shake as she arched her back and moaned louder. The sound of skin slapping and moans was the only thing you could hear on their apartment floor. His movements never stuttered for a second as he kept ramming himself into her harder and harder, especially when he found her spot he never slowed down in this moment as she practically screamed his name for the neighbors to hear.
She opened her eyes for a second and caught a glimpse of Jungwon with his hair sticking to his forehead and his body glistening from sweat while he grunted, his eyes that were glued to her, were only filled with pure infatuation and lust, drove her over the edge and that became evident to him. Watching her lose herself to him, made his orgasm quickly start approaching as well, his strokes became more sloppy as his moans turned into whines. He watched the way her pussy took in his cock, the way it disappeared deep inside her, seeing as his cock made a protruding bulge under her navel. He held her close and tight in his embrace as his orgasm hit him like a truck, finally emptying his load inside her as he groans loudly, she wrapped her arms around his body tightly and dug her nails into his skin as she came right after him onto his cock, her intense orgasm left her with her body shaking and gripping her arms around him tightly, tears steaming down her face as she buried her head into the nook of his neck with followed streams of cries, moans and cuss words.
He didn't even wait a second either one of them to catch their breath afterwards as his hands reached out, cupping her face and kissed her lips passionately, her eyes widened for a second at the sudden move but she interlocked her fingers into his hair and she connected her lips with his. The warmth traveled between their bodies as they kissed and he pumped himself inside her a few times, getting over their high before finally pulling out. She whimpered at the empty feeling inside her as her hole clenched around nothing. He tries catching his breath for a second before quickly grabbing a towel nearby and cleaning her body from the sweat that accumulated from the both of them and the cum that was pouring out of her cunt, He laid down next to her body, wrapping his arms around her and held her close to his body. He kissed her forehead softly, mumbling sweet nothings with every little kiss along her face, telling her how he loves her and how great she did, before landing another kiss on her lips, she smiled, kissing his lips back and rested her head on his chest.
“ I love you, Y/N.”
“ I love you too..”
