put leo in a fine song and now im thinking abt the potentials of oddball leo again
#like hear me out its been a bit since i last read stories but iirc eichi either implies or outright says that if leo wasn't useful#as a weapon to destroy the other units and splinter units of chess that he would've/could've been an oddball#tbh i don't think certain elements would've changed. eichi would've still found a way to destroy him via his songs/composing i think#but i wonder how it'd change the overall story... leo was integral in the war as a tester for the DreamFes system and to crush the#units eichi deemed a threat/useless/etc so like. if leo + knights weren't there to serve THAT purpose and instead#leo was ostracized and later executed as an oddball how would things have changed?#i think leo still would've ended up a shut-in and struggled to compose but i think his relationships w/ people would be changed#like. a lot. i think mama would still be a close friend but i think his relationship w/ izumi may have ended up different#i bet he might've even ended up leaving knights (for a time. he'd come back) leading to knights itself changing dynamics a bit#ousama izumi perhaps? idk#these are just random ideas tbh. i still wanna know how the plot would've gone if leo was an oddball tho#with how important he was to eichi's schemes it'd be fun to see how it would've changed
