Hi anon, sure! I'll share a couple of my longer reviews, as that's what I assume you're looking for. Most of the things I write on there are a bit silly, but these reviews are more descriptive, I think.

Chungking Express (dir. Wong Kar Wai) - rated 5 stars

"There is so much to say about this film. An ultimate, all-time favourite. 

Chungking Express is both dated and completely timeless. The reason for this, I believe, is the strength Wai has in the creation of his characters. They themselves are based entirely in reality, but yet the whole film (in fact his whole filmography) exists in a dream-like quality that leaves you winded and dizzy after watching. 

Wai takes a stranger on the street and gives them layer after layer, insinuating that anyone can be the protagonist in the story of their life. He creates the most unusual and enticing stories from, seemingly, thin air. His ability to create the beautiful from the unsuspecting is what made me fall in love, especially, with Chungking Express. 

I have endless praises to give this film; the cinematography is exceptional, the storylines are refreshing, different, and exciting, the chemistry is electrifying, and Faye Wong is Faye Wong. 

Watch this film. Please watch it. It should be a legal obligation for everyone to watch this film before they die."

I Married a Witch (dir. René Clair) - rated 3 stars

"A charming film that's off-beat all the way from a snack vendor at a witch trail to a rather grumpy animate rum bottle. A film you might not expect to be as funny as it is. Ahead of its time.

This film eludes all sorts of expectations. It also eludes me if that's a good thing or not. I don't think it matters very much if it makes you laugh.

I cannot bring myself to love this film with complete sincerity, being that I was bored at points and totally lost at others, but I can say that it's worth watching nonetheless.

A last warning that you can't watch this film without getting completely distracted from the plot by Veronica Lake. She makes every scene feel fresh; she delivers her lines with perfect vivacity, elevates any scene with a smile, and totally, expertly draws you into her performance – like under an actual spell. 

(I cannot believe I haven't seen her before. I'll be watching all of her filmography as soon as I recover from the total dizziness of 'I Married a Witch'.)"

These two had trouble getting along at first, just like two thick skulls! We know Madara for his awful temper, but nobody talks about Sakura’s as much as they should.

Being such a strong and independent woman, this kunoichi could never comply with the stereotype that this Uchiha is used to frequent. Having such a dominant character, he enjoys subduing others.

I have a very crazy idea of how this couple could have been formed, pay attention. After the final fight with Madara, Hashirama is aware that he is alive. At the same time, Tobirama finishes creating Edo Tensei. The Uchiha is upset, really upset. The one who killed him has just brought him to life, his brother is suffering and now he is in who knows where. But his bad predisposition changes when a pink-haired young woman appears in his sight.

What a curious, adorable, beautiful, and well-intentioned person. Sakura, her name suits him. Such beautiful eyes.

She is frightened by the symbol on his back, and it helps him to determine his situation. Time travel, change of periods. What a lovely woman, definitely her clan did not exist in the original time of Izuna, otherwise, he would remember such gorgeous features.

Van Gogh Ch. 5 Sometimes it comes in pieces; like letters scribbled down on crumpled parchment that build words and then grow into complete sentences.

Other times it’s a broad stroke of the brush, washing vibrant color onto the canvas with reckless abandon.

Sometimes the inkwell tips; staining black and more black onto the page. Sometimes, as well, it’s the paint that tips over. The colors meld together in a cacophony of beauty before they ultimately congeal into an ugly brown.

It’s all so utterly simple; there is no creation without destruction. And always, always, the process is messy.

idk, i know it's extremely pretentious, but it got me back into the story so affectively that i can't help but adore those words strung together. it's a great way to set the tone for the revival and continuation of this fic.

39 - Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them? so far, no. none at all! it's only been a single year of writing but actually i have gotten the most blessedly kind and hyped up comments from all of my readers in both ORV and DCMK. comments are literally so much fun, i love hearing what other people think about something i've thought so much about already that i end up writing and publishing it. one time i was told that the characters were semi-OOC? but that's criticism that i also completely agreed with, plus it wasn't antagonistic in tone either so i really got no negatives to spill here. both fandoms i've written for have been very kind to me uwu

Если кратко о выводах обзора: на качество того, как акварель ложится на бумагу, влияет качество акварели и качество бумаги)

Весь процесс выкраски снят на видео, которое на данный момент монтируется. Если кто-то знает, как склеить 1,5 часа видео из кусочков быстрее, чем за 18 часов, пожалуйста, расскажите. У меня After Effects и 16Гб оперативки… Здесь, собственно, сканы результатов и финальные выводы.

To make a long story short: the quality of painting paper with a paint depends on the quality of paper and on the quality of paint. There is supposed to be the videoprocess in the nearest future, but i face some difficulties with making a 1,5 hour video from a few small, rendering takes too much time. In this article I will write the conclusion with most important things.

Изначально планировалось ограничиться выкраской на Saunders Waterford. Я взяла обрезки Cold Press, потому что тратить отдельный лист горячей было бы кощунством. Краски — личный процесс для каждого, поэтому вы можете сами посмотреть, что нравится вам. Палитра хороша тем, что здесь были представлены разные производители:

— Schminke. Безусловно, мой фаворит во всём, кроме цены))) Порядка 500-1000 рублей за 5 мл. Краска живёт своей жизнью, выдаёт роскошные цвета, отдельные оттенки гранулируются (французский ультрамарин)(что мне, кстати, не понравилось, ахаха). Удивительная и прекрасная вещь!!!

— Meimery. Яркий пример того, как делать не надо) На самом деле на выкраске они выглядят весьма достойно, но они совершенно ужасны по ощущениям при покраске. Они похожи на маргарин, отдельные цвета плохо кладутся. Возможно, для кого-то это будет интересно, но нет. Тем более что цена приличная: от 600 до 2000 за 15 мл.

— Daniel Smith. Краска, которую я не поняла от слова совсем. Правда, в моём наборе было всего два цвета, оттенки зелёного, так что это не позволяет говорить о сколь-нибудь полной картине. Но один оказался излишне бледным, другой делал лужицу. При цене в 1100 за 15мл и наличии других конкурентов, я лично вряд ли буду рассматривать эту фирму.

— Сонет. От сонета был только один образец. Нет, он был лучше Meimery, и по одному цвету я бы не стала ни о ком судить, но всё же мне показалось, что он недостаточно хорош. К тому же, его трудновато найти в продаже в тюбиках.

— Белые Ночи. У меня был только один-единственный чёрный цвет. Хозяйка красок заявила, что это самое ужасное, что создавала индустрия акварели. Я смотрю на этот чёрный и понимаю, что я ничего не понимаю. Он…вроде вполне хорош? И ровный? Ничего не понимаю…. и да, 156 за 10 мл.

— Van Gogh. Очень достойная краска при цене в 300-400 за 10 мл. Более чем хорошая, мне понравилась. Но мне кажется, она несколько меркнет при наличии чуть более дорогой старшей сестрёнки от того же производителя:

— Rembrandt. По данной выборке получает мой личный приз симпатий за соотношение цена/качество. 500-600 рублей за 10 мл, все цвета были хороши во всех отношениях. Цвета часто глубокие и заманчивые, по текстуре тоже всё очень и очень приятно. К тому же, хотелось бы отдельно выделить пигменты 242 (ауреолин-что-то-там) и 675 (phatalo green). Мне очень понравились их оттенки и как ложатся с:

Maybe, some people would like this type, but not me. Also, it has a significant price: $9-23 for 15 ml

— Daniel Smith. A paint, that i didn't understand at all. Of course, I had only two colours in my pallet, and both are green, so I can't say anything for sure. But still, it's so weird. The first one is too pale, the second made a puddle. Taking into account the fact that it's $15 for 15ml, and that there are other companies in the world, I personally won't take these paints into consideration.

— Sonet. I had only one colour. It was better, that Meimery, but only one…and brown… And it was not that good, as it could. And I didn't find the tubes in the shop.

— White nights. I had only one, black paint. The owner of these paints claimed white nights are the worst creation of watercolour industry. I understand, that I don't understand. It was…pretty good? Weird…and $2

— Van Gogh. An awesome paint with price $5 for 10ml. More than awesome. But I believe, it's in the shadow of her more expensive elder sister from the same company:

— Rembrandt. It wins my first price in this review! For $7-8 you get very deep amazing colours and nice texture. I love it. Also, I would love to tell you about my 2 favourite colours 242 (aureoline-bla-bla-bla) and 675 (phtalo green). They are so bright and behave well c:

Конечно, на этом мои тесты не остановились) Я же должна была сравнить, в чём разница между между плохой и хорошей бумаг��й?))) Поэтому наш второй образец — скорлупа. Ну, как плохой, вообще-то, я рисовала на скорлупе более 10 лет, и готова ещё. Она безусловный лидер в сегменте дешёвых акварельных бумаг. Но да, это вам не лакшери сегмент.

И…к моему удивлению, разница была просто поразительная! Краски легли бледнее и хуже. Я бы сказала, что для скорлупы нет никакого смысла покупать акварель сложнее белых ночей, потому что лучше она уже не ляжет. За исключением…дада, французский ультрамарин от Schminke умудрился здесь раскрыть все свои качества на 100%. Конкретно эта краска лучше всего легла именно на скорлупу, дав самую прекрасную фактуру и яркий оттенок. Отчасти это говорит о том, насколько для грануляции важна поверхность)))

Sure, I didn't stop! I should have compared the difference between good and bad paper, shouldn't I? So our next example is shellpaper from Liliya Holding. Hm. not that bad actually. I have been painting on it for more than 10 years, and I will continue. She is the leader of cheap watercolour papers. But yes, it's not luxary.

To my amasement, the difference was significant! Paints were paler and worse. I would say, that there is no point in purchasing something except for White Nights for Shellpaper. cause you will see no difference. But here is one exception. yes-yes, french ultramarine by Schminke achieved it's 100% level of beauty. Shellpaper was the best paper for it. It was gave the brightest colour and wonderful texture. Partly that's a sign of how the surface is importnat for granulation)))

После таких потрясающих результатов я просто обязана была тестировать ещё. На этот раз среднеценовой сегмент, моя любимая Potentate. Главный вывод: каждой бумаге своя краска… Вот реально. Казалось бы, раз сегмент средний, то и результат будет средним между первыми двумя образцами? А вот фиг вам. Не, ну как бы да, но вот именно на этой бумаге внезапно стали плохо себя вести вангоги (за что и спрыгнули с пьедестала по сравнению с Рембрандтом. Именно за эту бумагу). А в остальном совсем другие ощущения….

After these significant results, I had to continue testing! This time my favourite from middle-price area Potentate. Conclusion: each paper needs it's own paints. Really. I expected that the result would be something between 1 and 2 paper, but LOL NO. On this paper suddenly failed Van Goghs (that's why they lost to Rembrandt). And all other feelings were unique as well.

Но скажу ещё пару слов об эколайнах. Хотя я не представляю, как можно нормально рисовать жидкой акварелью, не заливая весь стол, у них совсем другая фактура, которой тоже можно найти применение в рисовании. И я попытаюсь это сделать.

I think, the main idea is already clear: always experiment for yourself))))

But I'll say a pair of words about Ecoline. Although I have no idea of how you can normally use it without colouring the whole table and everything around, it has a unique texture, that also should have a place in my painting. And I'll try to find it.
