I don't think I've seen anyone talk about this line from right after Mitsuru's father dies, and it keeps me up at night

Like this is so incredibly sweet! He just picked her up??? I always imagine Akihiko carrying Mitsuru back to the dorm and comforting her that night 😭💜 He cares so much for her and is so heartbroken when she's grieving.

Sigh... I could write an essay on how Akihiko, who's gone through so much, is ALWAYS the first one to speak up / be there for someone after a death (Ken when he was grieving shinji, junpei & chidori, all the strega deaths etc) but I'll save that for another day
