older Helene/Paris WIP piece

i feel justified in thinking that Helene would just straight up say "That sounds like you're trying to start up a courtship" in this work because she REALLY WOULD SAY THIS in the light novel.

Both her and Paris are really candid people and i like how their honesty still evokes a lot of tension + chemistry between them :Dc So much so i can write stuff like this pre-light novel and I can still see how in-character they are even after knowing LN!them never got together like this (but Helene sure did swear off dating LMAO)

#TME LN #sort of #The Mighty Extra #god i love this manhwa #i tend to favor a more green flag interpretation of Paris like this version but you can still see his red flag roots lol #i hope Paris gets to attend the archery festival when it happens in the manhwa and these two get another moment #if only so i can look at this piece and go “ha called it!”#ik Helene isn't really a touchstarved person towards Paris but idk i think she might be once she grows closer to him #i think a lot about Paris telling Helene that she's really the first person he's ever been interested in #and i think a lot about how Helene's truly cunning nature only really shows openly in front of Paris #i still adore the manhwa for looking at these two and going “they're wasted potential. im going to fix this” and made them a side couple #well “side couple” bc honestly based on the light novel Helene really hasn't reciprocated much #though the fact she accepts his request for a dance at the banquet gives me hope the manhwa will make this ship canon :Dc #and man do i FROTH for more interactions between them #also for those wondering the collar shtick does not exist in the light novel #but god do i like it in the manhwa because it's so very tastefully used imo even if i find it a bit cringe lmao
