DCXDP Prompt 7
Dead Serious Ship but with a twist(?) of a sort. And Good Parents Fenton's + Casper High Classmates knows Danny is Phantom.
• Damian and Danny were Teenage Sweethearts and Danny was in Gotham due to Amity Park Stuff with his parents still taking down the GIW, up until they turned 18 when Damian suddenly became distant. He started canceling plans, distancing himself from his beloved, even going as far as no longer calling Danny by their usual pet names.
From Lovers to Strangers.
• Danny is confused on why Damian is suddenly so distant, until Damian just disappeared, he never contacted Danny at all. Danny's mind is now cluttered with overthinking thoughts that range from negative to dreadful thoughts, at first it was worry that Damian died but he sees an article of Damian being alive and well.... and with someone. Danny feels his heart break into a million goddamn pieces and seeks refuge in his family's arms and moving back to Amity Park.
• Damian's reason of disappearance was apparently for Danny's safety as Ra's had taken particular interest in the boy that has Lazarus Running in their DNA as if it is their blood and for Danny's safety Damian decided to distance himself, a specific mission that required him a partner to take down a specific organization is where the article comes from(Writer can change the last part, either way angst is inevitable).
• 2-3 years later Danny comes back to Gotham because a Ghost of his had something from their grave stolen, and it was stored in the Gotham Museum. Although Danny hates it he stays as it is his duty as A Halfa (Or a Ghost King) to retrieve his people's items from the other side of the veil. Danny happened to attend a gala in one of these occasions and Damian spots him.
Damian and Danny Part :
• Danny feels dread and hatred whenever he sees Damian, Damian is desperate to get him back.
Damian becomes possessive and the Batfam finally tone him down after Danny slaps him, This is mostly angst of Damian being unable to have Danny back as Danny finally settles into the Ghost Zone and Amity Park.
Summary Danny holds a grudge after thinking Damian cheated on him and ghosted him, Danny is not fine and when he does come back to Gotham for Ghost King/Halfa Duties Damian tries to pursue him again which ends with a lot of Vigilante and Phantom shenanigans along with Robin and Phantom romance where they both don't know about each other's Civilian life and when they do more heartbreak and chaos ensue.
Damian wants Danny back so bad and regrets letting his Beloved Polaris go for a mission and for not trusting himself or his family to be able to protect Danny, Danny doesn't like Damian because Damian brings back memories of the last that he truly, really wants to forget because everytime he thinks about it he wants to cry himself to sleep.
My thought is bittersweet ending but that's on the writer's choice or inspiration of this, thanks for reading my crack. I'll see y'all later.

DP x DC Prompt #21
Duke had just wanted to find his parents. He hated that he was in a foster home, he hated that the cops weren't doing anything, and he hated feeling useless.
No one understood him. Well, no one except for his foster brother. Danny would help him sneak out, look for clues where he could, and generally had Duke's back. He helped Duke out of more tough spots than he could count.
Then Duke joined the "We R Robin" movement, and Danny aged out of the system. Duke hadn't seen Danny in a long time.
So when he sees his old foster brother running down the streets, holding his side and limping, Duke doesn't hesitate to pop down and help.
The problem? Danny doesn't trust Gotham vigilante's. And he's bleeding ... green?

Danny Fenton is so damn sick of rich fruit loops. It’s worse now, since he’s one of them.
It’s not Vlad that he’s with, thank the Ancients, but Danny isn’t sure that this is better.
Because he’s Timothy Drake, a baby, and he’s been reincarnated after the Ancient of Reincarnation accidentally drank too much wine.
He’s going to kick their ass so hard when he gets back.
Danny huffs. He rolls over, ignoring the silent manor. Sure, he’s read the comics. Sure, he laughed and imagined being adopted by Batman- come on, Danny had black hair and blue eyes even back then, he was totally adoption bait- when his parents gave him reason to lose trust in their love. But that’s it, that’s all he thought it was. A day dream, a wish for a universe that didn’t exist.
Danny hadn’t understood the reality of the whole Infinite Realms thing, a place he was now the King of. Batman? Real. Danny? Reincarnated. Hotel? Trivago.
Like, this wasn’t what he meant, dammit.
And now he’s stuck as Timothy Drake, and Ancients, he was starting to see parallels.
——
Danny tried photography. He really did. He wanted to at least stick to the source material. But that’s not who he is. Even with the shiny new brain that memorized, catalogued, and put together clues at the snap of his fingers, but Danny’s never been one to take photos. It’s a respectable art, for sure, but Danny preferred to live in the moment instead of capturing it to remember forever. It’s just-
He watched the Graysons fall. He watched Dick Grayson turn into Robin. And Danny can’t and won’t ever betray his Obsession like that, ever again. He can’t let Jason die for his “story” to begin. That’s not how Danny works.
He’s there to protect.
Danny hasn’t ever been just Tim. Danny was also Tim and the Ghost King without a haunt. But now? Gotham is his haunt. He, in lieu of an actual city spirit, is Gotham. He’s also a Drake. And Drakes were meant to hoard.
Batman and Robin? They are his.
He claimed them, as a Drake. But that claim is weak. So he claimed them as their city, and that is a claim that will never be able to be challenged.
Danny’ll be damned before he allows some lanky starved clown beat the life out of one of his Robins. So, for the first time in his nine years on this planet, Tim-Danny goes ghost and flies.
“Who- who. Are you?” Robin slurred from his place in Danny’s hold. He is broken, yes. But not dead. Danny infuses some of his vitality, his ecto, into Jason’s injuries to help them heal.
“Gotham.” Danny replied, layering his ghostly voice with those of the city.
“Goth’m?”
“Gotham. Sleep, little bird. Your city has got you.”
When Robin, Jason, settled with a sense of trust that tugs at Danny’s core, Danny carried him to Batman, whose eyes were wild and manic. He glared menacingly at the green and white ghost in front of him, who was holding his broken and beaten son-
Well, it’d be menacing if Danny hadn’t watched him eat bricks and mortar, crashing into a building while using his grappling gun.
“You-”
“I am Gotham.” Danny cut him off. Despite his wary nature and natural paranoia, Batman settled at his city’s gaze rested on him. Danny knew that Batman recognized his city. Batman’s head bowed, but his eyes stayed on Robin. “You were supposed to take care of Robin.”
“I- I know.” And that voice was all Bruce Wayne the Dad instead of Batman the Vigilante. Danny gently placed Robin in Batman’s arms, taking in the tremors as he held his son close.
“Go back, Bruce. And make sure Jason knows how much you love him.”
He laughed as Bruce whipped his head upwards. “I am your city. You are mine as much as I am yours. I’ve known of you before you were born.”
Technically? Not untrue. But Bruce will chalk it up to weird magic shit. It’s not like it’s a secret that Gotham’s kind of curse. Besides, this way, Danny will be able to help out more often. And Bruce won’t be able to connect Tim Drake to the “Spirit of Gotham.”
“Return, my knight. This is not your city. I can not protect you as well as I can in Gotham.”
“Thank you… Gotham.”
Danny sighed. He wondered when he’ll have to field questions from a John Constantine. He’s pretty sure Bruce will call in magical help, even if it was his own city he was investigating.
Batman’s lucky Danny liked him enough to allow it.

DP x DC prompt. ~“Unstable connection”~ Dead on main.
Part 9.3. "A friend is someone who knows all about you and still loves you." — Elbert Hubbard
~~~~~
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3. Part 4. Part 5. Part 6. Part 7.
Part 8. Part 9. New: Part 9.1. Part 9.2. Part 9.3.
Part 10. Part 11. Part 12. Meme break №1. Part 13.
Roy: Look, I’m deeply flattered that you decided to talk about your feelings with me because you bats are allergic to them, but you’re seriously telling me that you’re texting a guy from out of Gotham? What for?
Jason: Do I need a reason?
Roy: Usually not, but I know you’re paranoid.
A cookie flies straight into Roy’s head.
Jason: Shut up. I know how to relax. He’s just a guy. No harm from boyf- a friend.
Roy: What you see in him? No, I rather have to ask how he tolerates you. I deserve a reward for being your best friend.
Jason: Hey, actually, I like Bizarro a lot more, just so you know, jerk. And we actually have more in common than it seems. He gets along with dead people who hang out in his town a lot. And.. I don’t know, okay? It’s just easy to talk to him, and he doesn’t seem like the kind of person who would yell if he found out about me something weird for any other stranger. He feels like home. Safe one. I can rest when I talk to him, you know?
Roy: So you trust him? With everything?
Jason: I’m not an idiot and I’m not going to reveal everything until we talk offline. I don’t even know if I want to. Of course he’s not afraid of the undead from his town and he didn’t convict Hood for his actions when I asked him for his opinion, but talking about a specific person and some vigilante from the shadows is different. I don’t want him to be afraid of me or be disappointed in me. But somehow part of me believes that he will take this side of me. I sent him a picture with knives on my thighs, and he didn’t care. And one time, I messed up the chats and I sent him a threat that was meant to check on my new guys. He yelled at me. Because I could be reported to the police.
Roy: Well, if you like him, just try not to screw it up.
Jason: I’m trying. And by the way if Dick finds out about our conversation, I’ll throw you in the river.
Roy: Dude, you’ve known me for years! I bet you don’t threaten your lover like that! Have some trust.
Jason: Okay. So, I don’t know what to do, Roy. Fenton is perfect. But he’s a civilian. Phantom looks dead handsome but I know almost nothing about him. And what I know I learned from Danny. And now the fic that I’m writing is full of adult-rated scenes. Of course, I don’t add them to my work on ao3, but it’s still so weird.
Roy: Have you tried sending this to Fenton? With any luck, he’ll take it as flirting.
Jason: What? Hell no! He thinks I’m a mercenary for Red Hood. He’s gonna think I have wet fantasies about my boss and I’m gonna lose all self-respect, and he’s gonna block me and...
Roy: Okay, okay, slow down a little. We both know you’re weird, but you’re not that weird. And he’s not even your boyfriend. So his opinion doesn’t really matter.
Jason *whispers*: He's my husband. And it does.
Roy: Dude, I mean, I support your vibe but isn’t this guy supposed to know that he’s gonna have the title of the husband of a crime lord first.
Jason: Fair.
~~~~~~~
~Next morning~
Dick: So, I heard my Little Wing has a boyfriend. What’s his name? When are you bringing him to the family dinner?
Jason:…I’m gonna kill Harper. ~~~~~~~
Bizarro *on his way to tell all to Artemis and impress his good friend’s boyfriend*. First, he can leave a Red Hood doll by the window of a couple of his friend. It’ll help him understand that Bizarro isn’t dangerous and then the boy will want to be his friend too. Good plan, Pup Pup!

Thanks to a certain krosrios on instagram ive been thinking up a new dpxdc fanfic
Cause listen having Danny leave his town cause of angst or college is cool. Having Danielle leave the town out of angst or just because is grand.
But hear me out
Dan going to Gotham because he has bonded enough with Team Phantom that they trust him to not destroy the world. He has gotten attached to Dani and reattached to Jazz and though he wont admit it is maybe a little too attached to purposefully destroy what they love.
Maybe he is following Jazz to keep her safe. Maybe he is just getting out of dodge for personal reasons and someone (cough cough) nudged him in the direction of Gotham.
But like imagine
Some angry kid settles down in crime alley of all places and quickly becomes talk of the town bc for how agressive he is he is also well known for helping when he can, in a perhaps too agressive way (not unlike a certain red hooded individual).
I imagine he is probably in his twenties and while lanky in his human form built like a tank in his ghost form. He works at a bouncer at a local bar or club and makes some side cash fixing appliances for people.
Some kids start whispering about him maybe being red hood or being related to red hood which obviously catches the vigilantes attention. Especially when some young street kid pulls a “well you would help me wouldnt you…. DAN??” *stares hard to see his reaction*
When Hood doesnt find anything he reluctantly flags it to Tim who only manages to find the name Daniel Fenton but that cant be right. His phone is actively pinging him in a small town in illinois. Unless its a twin of some kind? Or a clone, time jokes, but that cant be it bc thats just some kid. Nobody would have a reason to clone him.
Regardless some random unidentified man who can clearly fight and for whatever reason sets Jason off is a pretty big red flag. And while neither Tim nor Jason particularly wanna tell the Bat since they dont have anything concrete it is pretty concerning.
Maybe they end up breaking into a tired Dan’s apartment and questioning him.
Maybe Duke is walking through town and sees a kind old lady lecturing a fucking ghost?? God??? Guy??? And shoving food into his hands even tho he looks like he could kill her.
Maybe Barbara is spooked by a guy appearing beside her in a bookshop and reaching around her to grab a pretty in depth psychology book.
Maybe Tim finds him later with a young girl who looks just like him playing in the park.
Who knows!! I just think there is a lot to work with and his personality would be just wonderful to add into the batfamily boilin pot.

Okay, yall know the drill by now
1. The bats all find out that Bruce has another son out there somewhere and Damian goes missing. The bats panic thinking Damian is planning to murder his new little brother, only when they track him down they find him playing Volleyball with this kid who looks a lot like Bruce who is excitedly explaining all the rules and player positions to Damian.
When Dami spots them he smirks. The bats all simultaneously realized Damian wasn't here to murder Danny, he was here to get a head start on being the "Favorite Sibling"
2. While he was out exploring different dimensions/ universes Danny managed to somehow gain the attention of the Justice League who then proceeded to track him down to Amity Park in his home dimension.
They keep trying to make things in Phantoms world better in hopes that this will make him trust them and he'll come out and introduce himself. The way they saw it was that this kid needed a mentor and community with other heroes around his own age to help him learn and cope with the struggles of hero life.
Jokes on them. Danny never wanted to be a hero and with the JL taking care of everything in a professional and humane way Danny saw no reason to keep turning into Phantom.
Batman, who was onto him, didn't like that Phantom wasn't asking for help but didn't want to take away this kids chance for a normal life.
3. Ace a/b/o au where danny finds himself in Gotham right before his heat hits. Panicking, he steals a whole bunch of blankets and supplies as Phantom and builds his nest in an unused apartment.
The bats track him down and Red Robin bursts in through a window. Danny freaks out and accuses RR of being a perv for breaking into an Omegas nest so close to heat. RR asks a few questions, mainly "Whats an Omega?" And "What did you mean by heat?"
He then gets a big whiff of heat pheromones and is promptly (and literally) thrown out. He later goes into rut despite being on suppressants that should have made this impossible.
Damian breaks in thinking that since he hadn't presented yet he would be fine. Hes kinda right. Danny immediately bombarded him with soft blankets and aggressively scenting him with, Home, Family, Pack, My child
Damian got adopted right then and there.
Damian can't say he really minds. Being accepted and loved by his friends and family is one of his biggest insecurities and its so tempting to indulge.
4. Danny begins haunting the Waynes and/or the Bats for a major perceived slight against him. This goes on for quite a while before it stops suddenly after the bats unintentionally made Phantom a grave without thier knowledge.
Danny thought they were apologizing and accepted the grave.
For the bats it was like this person/entity was tormenting them and then it suddenly just stopped. They are very confused.
Constantine/Zatana have no answers because by the time they got there it was already over.
5. Danny learned how to shape-shift and is using that power to just mess with people.
He appeared as a Yiga clan foot soldier (from breath of the wild) and fought a very baffled Red Robin, Pepsiman who just throws Pepsi at people, Roadrunner from Loony Toons to mess with the Flash fam, ect.
All was well and good until he was back in Gotham and saw the little sword Robin in a stand off with someone. Danny purposely landed on Robins shoulder as a tiny little bird, knowing that it would make the animal loving vigilantes day (night?) and ignored the humans surprise and the chatter from the heros opponent.
This turned out to be a mistake as Danny found his left wing run through with a throwing knife and Danny screamed. Naturally his scream sounded inhuman but also sounded nothing like a bird. In an instant all Danny could see was green as he launched himself at his assailant.

If I had a nickel for every billionaire that tried to kidnap me, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice
DP/DC week prompt: Mistaken Identity
'Look, in Bruce Wayne’s defence, he has a lot of children with black hair and blue eyes, and he’d had a very long day. But in Danny’s defence, he has no idea what’s happening right now and, according to his previous experience in being kidnapped by billionaires, his reaction is incredibly reasonable.'
(No content warnings || fic under cut!!)
-
Danny’s been in Gotham for about a week with his family, and so far it’s honestly been one of their most relaxing vacations to date. Sure, the drive had been long and finding a place to park the RV had been unsurprisingly difficult, but once the initial getting-there-fanfare was over with, everything had been great. The whole ‘not my circus, not my monkeys’ thing had been amazing for his anxiety. The famous Batman was more than capable of dealing with his peanut gallery without some random dead kid intercepting.
Okay, he was a little bit worried about Batman’s ‘no metas’ thing, but there was no good reason the vigilante would find out that little tidbit. It’s not like he’s even a meta in the first place! Being dead is a medical condition. Regardless, he’s doing the sensible thing and not making a show of himself; he may have flown over the top of the city invisibly on the first night to get some good shots to send to his friends, but no one needed to know about that but Sam and her gothic-architecture-inspo wall.
The hotel they’re staying at has good breakfast, the buildings in the inner city look cool as Hell, they already have heroes dealing with their issues so Danny doesn’t have to do anything, and there’s no ghosts barging into his room but the constant chaos of the city still feels homey. Overall, a ten out of ten vacation spot.
Surely, nothing can go wrong.
“Tim? What are you doing here?”
He’s taking a morning walk away from the hotel after he and Jazz successfully convinced their parents he would be fine on his own, and he’d stopped in front of Wayne Enterprises because Tucker would be frankly offended if he didn’t. He ignores the call at first, because he doesn’t know anyone named Tim, and it’s not his business, but that’s clearly shown to be a mistake when the call comes again but closer, and then again, but with a man putting his hand on Danny’s shoulder. He’s turns around to tell whoever it is to clear off when he actually catches sight of the guy’s face.
Sleek black hair, sky-blue eyes, a healthy tan and a very expensive suit. That’s Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne as in the guy who owns the building in front of them. Bruce Wayne as in the multi-billionaire.
Okay, don’t get him wrong, Bruce Wayne does some pretty honourable charity work, and his tech is pretty cool and Tucker’s obsessed with it, but Danny has a very sour history with billionaires and even before he’d met Vlad he wasn’t a fan of them; being friends with Sam for long enough does that to a guy. Dealing with the fruitloop had only cemented what he already knew, and that’s that you shouldn’t trust people that rich as far as you can throw them (or, maybe just not at all, since he figures he could actually throw them pretty damn far, considering the ghost powers).
Plus, Bruce ‘Brucie’ Wayne has this really weird habit of acting like a ditz, and quite frankly, Danny doesn’t buy it. He’s been successfully running a huge company and heading welfare campaigns for years, and if he’s truly as air-headed as he presents himself to be Vlad would’ve snatched up his company and his wealth in a heartbeat. Vlad, who is the other billionaire he knows, who is also pretending to be something he’s not with the whole ‘gentle hermit’ vibe he maintains with the press. No, there’s definitely something weird about Bruce Wayne and he hadn’t particularly wanted to meet the guy to find out what it is.
However, it’s looking like he doesn’t have much choice, what with the man having a hand on his shoulder and being about ten inches from his face. “Uh.” He blurts eloquently. “Hi?”
“Tim,” He repeats, frowning. “Why are you here? I told you to take the day off- don’t tell me you were just planning on sneaking off to work anyway.”
Danny’s certain Tucker mentioned some co-CEO of Wayne Enterprises called Tim, and he’s fairly certain Tucker mentioned he was the same age as them and also Bruce’s ward, but do they really look similar? No one’s ever said they do to his face, and he thought that was the kind of thing people talked about- the whole ‘who’s your celebrity lookalike’. So why-?
…Tucker also mentioned that almost all of Bruce Wayne’s wards have the same black hair and blue eyes. He’d even joked how Danny ‘fit the bill’. Oh no. What if this is an obsession-with-having-a-son-just-like-him thing? Do all billionaires do that or is that just Vlad? He could really do with someone else to compare the guy to that isn’t the fruitloop right now- it’d be really great to have some kind of gauge amongst general average billionaire behaviour so that he actually knew what to do.
Staying quiet to gather his thoughts was apparently not his greatest move, though, because the man’s frown only deepens. Bruce Wayne’s hand moves from the top of his shoulder to his arm, giving it a light squeeze that seems like it’s supposed to be comforting but really just makes him more nervous. “I’m taking you back to the manor. You were supposed to take a day off and I really think relaxing would do you some good.”
Now, there are a lot of things Danny could do to absolve this situation, and the smartest of all of them would be to inform him that there’s been a misunderstanding and that he’s just some random tourist who’d been wanting to take some pictures.
“I— what- can’t you just leave me here? Don’t you need to go in there?” Is what he says instead, because fight, flight, or freeze apparently includes brain freeze too. His mom was right, he never should’ve been allowed out unsupervised. Why didn’t he bring Jazz with him?
“The meeting can wait, you’re more important.” The man soothes, and suddenly the hand on his arm is pulling him away, leading him over to an incredibly expensive car and Danny’s so bewildered by the whole situation he doesn’t even fight back. He stands there, limp, as Bruce Wayne opens the car doors, nudges him inside, starts the engine, and drives further and further away from Danny’s hotel.
They’ve been driving for about twenty minutes before his stupor finally breaks, and by then they’ve fully left the bustle of the inner city and entered the sparsely populated realm of high society estates— Bristol, he thinks it was called? Doesn’t matter. He needs to get out and he needed to be out yesterday; he can’t believe he ever thought he could have a remotely sensible vacation. Let your guard down one time and you get kidnapped by a man with more money than everyone else in the state combined (though, to be fair, that sounds more normal given his circumstances than it should. Still, the billionaire being Bruce Wayne isn’t normal).
Now, there are a lot of things Danny could do to absolve this situation, and the smartest of all of them would be tell Bruce Wayne that he’d been too shocked to refute the man, but he wasn’t actually his son, and had finally gathered his bearings to say so and was very sorry for causing him undue stress.
Instead, Danny jumps out of a moving car.
Distantly registering the yell of alarm and the screech of the vehicle pulling to a sudden stop, he tanks the roll and springs back up again, taking in his surroundings for all of a second before sprinting in the opposite direction of wherever they’d been going. Bruce Wayne is definitely chasing after him- he can hear the heavy footfalls pounding behind him- but Danny’s been running from his problems for years. There’s no way he’s letting them catch up to him now.
He rounds a corner and disappears into thin air, because Batman’s not a day time hero so what he doesn’t know can’t hurt him and surely he’d get that Danny was only doing it for the sake of his personal safety. I mean, who’s he to say that Bruce Wayne doesn’t layer on his fortunes with the occasional ransom situation? …Maybe not the best excuse he’s ever come up with, but the damage is done now, and he drifts away for a few more minutes until he figures he’s far enough from his initial launch point that he can drop the invisibility.
Looking around, he can tell that he’s definitely lost, his surroundings still reeking of big money and the actual meat of the city barely hanging on the horizon. Well, technically he’s not that lost, given that he can still see inner-Gotham from here, but he doesn’t know where the Hell his hotel is in all that grey, and the walk looks far. While he was willing to risk the momentary power-usage to get himself out of the billionaire’s sights, he figures that trying anything else would be pushing his luck a bit further than it was willing to take him.
He must’ve been thinking about it for a lot longer than he realised, though, because he hears a quiet thud behind him, and there is now a vigilante blocking his exit. Long-ish black hair, an admonishing expression, and a black and blue outfit with a bird decal.
That’s one of the Bats. NIghtwing, he thinks?
Aren’t they all supposed to be nighttime vigilantes?
As if hearing his questions, the taller man tuts, bringing his hands to his hips like his mom does when he breaks curfew. He hasn’t got out the electric-stick-things that he’s pretty sure the guy owns, so that’s good. “Tim,” He starts, tone starkly disappointed, and- hold on, why is Nightwing on a first name basis with the Wayne Enterprises CEO? “I thought B told you to take today off.”
Hold on, that’s a weird thing for a vigilante to know about the Wayne Enterprises CEO, and- Danny’s assuming B means Bruce Wayne- why is he using such a casual nickname for the billionaire? Do they know each other? He supposes it makes sense if they’re all in cahoots, since the Bats’ stuff does seem pretty expensive-looking, but he’d honestly kind of assumed Batman was just some rich reclusive vampire or something. Like Vlad but morally-reversed.
Unless Batman is still a billionaire and not just funded by Bruce Wayne. Nightwing knowing the Tim guy would make sense, then, given they might see each other at rich people things. But, actually, would that make sense? Vigilante socialites don’t usually go around telling their other socialite friends that they’re vigilantes, do they?
Unless Batman is Bruce Wayne. But that’s ridiculous. He’d figured the guy was hiding something, and the hoard of children is kind of indicative of a weird guy generally, but the man being some kind of edgy bat-themed hero in his spare time was just too ridiculous. There’s no way.
…Holy shit. Batman is totally Bruce Wayne.
That means that Nightwing is probably one of Bruce Wayne’s many sons, which means that he’s one of Tim Drake-Wayne’s many brothers, which means Bruce Wayne may have called him to chase him down and bring him back to the manor. Even though they shouldn’t be doing that because he isn’t Tim Drake.
Now, there are a lot of things Danny could do to absolve this situation, and the smartest of all of them would be tell Nightwing that by some hilarious comedy-of-errors, Bruce Wayne had mistaken him for his son Tim the CEO when he is in fact Danny Fenton the tourist, and he’s very sorry for the fuss he’s caused, but he should probably call his sister to pick him up now, thank you very much.
Instead, Danny feints left and tries to dash out the corner he’d trapped himself in from Nightwing’s other side. Nightwing grabs him like a small dog with one arm and raises a grappling hook to the nearest roof. Danny feels like this is probably karma for all the property damage he’s caused in Amity as they’re flung violently across roofs higher than his town’s tallest apartment complex. He is quickly discovering that being airborne is actually so much worse when you’re not the one in control.
He doesn’t have an awful lot of time to ponder this, however, because they reach what Danny assumes is the Wayne residence soon after. Nightwing does an absolutely terrifying set of flips as they careen over to the other side of the ledge the mansion is on, and lets him go when they’re on the ground to put a finger against his hear, presumably to some communication device.
“I’ve got him, B! We’re outside the Batcave now- yep, all safe- see you in a sec!”
…They’re outside the what now?
Nightwing slings an arm over his shoulder- some mix of friendliness and making sure he doesn’t run away- and leads him into a concealed entrance against the ledge just beneath the Wayne mansion.
He has to be hallucinating at this point. There are actual bats in here. The whole place is scary and dark and gigantic and—is that a fucking dinosaur?
“Tim!”
And, as if just to cement how utterly absurd today has been, Bruce Wayne is striding towards them with an expression contorted by worry, and he feels bad right up until the moment the guy cups his face with his calloused hands (calloused because he’s Batman, what the Hell). “Tim, I was so worried,” He croaks. “What happened back there? Why did you jump out the car?”
Now, there are a lot of things Danny could do to absolve this situation, and finally, finally, he-
“What the Hell is happening right now.” He blurts, taking a sharp step back and letting the hand fall from his face, watching as surprise falls over the men next to him like an overcast.
Okay, maybe not the the smartest thing he could’ve said, but not the worst thing either, and that’s probably the biggest win he’s going to get today, so he’ll take it. “What are you talking about?” Nightwing asks gently, reminding him rather neatly that he is still in an absolutely gigantic pile of shit, seeing as he’s now going to have to explain that they have all made some very big mistakes today.
“Uh, okay, so funny story- and you have to promise not to like, beat the shit out of me or whatever-“ He ignores the horrified faces they make at that, nervousness leaking out into a hysterical laugh. “But, uh, a very bad thing has happened, and— it’s like, fine! I won’t tell anyone if you won’t tell anyone, it’s totally chill and I’m really great at keeping secrets-!”
Bruce Wayne cuts him off, looking terribly concerned. “Tim, whatever’s going on, we’ll-“
“I’m not Tim!”
The moment the words are out of his mouth, he backs away with his hands raised placatingly, panic heightened by the way the two men freeze in their tracks. “I am so sorry,” Danny chokes, figuring he can’t dig himself into any deeper of a grave than he already has. “I was just- I was outside Wayne Enterprises to take pictures and when you came up to me I had no idea what to do so I just froze, and by the time I came to I was in your car and like, I was kind of scared you were kidnapping me? Because I kind of have a history with billionaires and kidnapping so I just panicked and jumped out the car but that made everything worse ‘cause you chased me and now I’m in the Batcave and you’re Batman and-“
There is a very long pause when Danny’s words fail him. The Batcave is very quiet beyond the chittering of bats on the ceiling.
“You have a history with billionaires and kidnapping?” Nightwing asks, like literally nothing else he’d said registered.
Quite frankly, Danny does not want to know what their expressions are like. Averting his eyes, he replies- “That was definitely a weird thing for me to say. Sorry. Uh, yeah.”
“Are you safe?”
What is happening? “Like… right now? I mean, so long as you aren’t gonna feed me to that dinosaur then yeah; I’m just in Gotham for vacation. I don’t- it was a very nice vacation. Until like half an hour ago. Now it’s a stressful vacation.”
Bruce Wayne, to his credit, is not trying to kill him for his knowledge of the man’s secret vigilantism, which already makes him better than the only other billionaire he knows. The man drags a hand down his face, looking stressed beyond belief. “I should’ve known you weren’t Tim,” He breathes. “I don’t even know what to say.”
“Yeah, now that I’m actually hearing you talk, you sound nothing like him. Bruce, were you actually listening when he was talking to you before you shoved him in the car? This guy’s midwestern. What happened to world’s greatest detective, B?” Nightwing snorts and, wow, they’re not taking this half as badly as he thought they would. And, hey, now that he’s thinking about it, these are the first actual vigilantes he’s ever met outside of himself and Valerie, and wouldn’t it be a waste not to ask them for pointers?
Maybe it’s not the best idea in the world, but he already knows their secret identities and they’re being chill about it, so maybe they’ll be chill with his, too. Screw it, he’s doing it.
“Again, I promise I won’t tell anyone- I’m, ah, pretty good with secrets like this.” They turn to look at him curiously there, and he tries to talk past the lump in his throat. “I’m kind of, um, also a vigilante as well? Funny coincidence, right? Small town gig, though, nothing like Gotham! And I’ve only been on the scene a few years, so… I don’t know what I’m asking, here. Any good pointers?”
Nightwing looks thoughtful. “Does this have anything to do with the billionaire you mentioned?” He asks.
“It very much has a lot to do with the billionaire. If Vlad Masters ever asks you for anything- I dunno, punch him? He’s got a really punchable face, you’d know if you met him. It’s all creepy and shit.”
Nightwing continues asking questions as Bruce Wayne’s head remains firmly buried in his hands, and sure, maybe letting this well-established team of heroes know about his less-than-legal and more-than-ectoplasmic hobbies might come back to bite him, but right now he can’t help basking in the fact that he gets to bad-mouth Vlad to someone who Vlad will probably care about his reputation with. Everything else comes second.
“-Hang on, you said you’ve been a vigilante for a few years, right? How old are you?”
Okay, almost everything comes second. Both men are looking at him now with something that’s probably-definitely concern and is getting worse the longer he neglects to answer, and Danny is very suddenly reminded once again that the majority of Bruce’s children fit the same appearance-criteria as he does.
He’s just doubled his own problem, hasn’t he? It’s not just one anymore-he’s going to have to deal with two billionaires now.
He’s never going on vacation again.

Raising Phantom Chpt 8
Raising Phantom on Ao3
Jason sat up next to his favorite gargoyle as a kid, watching the city in thought. Duke, after the party, had confirmed something odd was with Danny and Vlad. Having caught a second glimpse of Vlad as he stormed out after recovering from a punch from Bruce. Which was a shock in itself as he was supposedly knocked out cold. Would have taken a normal man at least a few hours. Duke had tried his best to explain the image, but best he could describe it was a holographic card where it was two images at once. Danny's was a boy with white hair, and Vlad's was a vampire. It sounded ridiculous if Jason didn't remember that weird feeling he had when the boy was near. He had almost forgotten-well forgotten wasn't right word- He had accepted that strange feeling. It was eerie at first but grew comforting around the kid. He tapped his foot on the edge of the stone. Vlad had a weird pull too, he didn't notice until Duke pointed it out. He had assumed it was Danny, until he tried to track Vlad. Vlad always knew where to look for him, so he disappeared once he confirmed the feeling. Dick suggested that perhaps it was a freak accident both of them were apart of? Kept it secret from Jazz? But Jason doubted it. Tim brought up their unknown parents. Jason glared at the city view. That sounded plausible, they were responsible could be the reason they all had a falling out. “..I never known a boring day in my life..” Jason flexing his hand as he recalled Jazz's voice back in the library. Definitely pointed towards parents. Dead brother too. Jason stood up with a huff, he needed to stop reflecting on it. Let the others keep playing this game, but he was going to stomp his foot down if they cross the line. Stretching as he stared over the horizon. He definitely going to keep an eye on Danny. Though the tabloid story was going to make it hard. Stupid gossip. ---
Ever since they've arrived home, Vlad has been on their couch playing the 'pitiful me' card. He would whine about the gala, how foolish he looked. He begged Jasmine and Danny to let him get back at Bruce, which both declined. “Mr. Wayne started most of the foundations and fundraisers in Gotham as well as provide jobs for the city. INCLUDING the improvements made to both my college and future place of work. You can't hurt him because he punched you for threatening his kids!” Jazz would explain for a millionth time as she give Vlad his cup of coffee. Her hair wired and frizzed. Vlad was driving her nuts. “All for show! I bet the money ends up in the rogue's pockets.” Vlad sip his cup of coffee, while sitting in his fancy robs that were out of place on the makeshift bed of a couch. He gagged at the taste of the coffee, and made a face as if to tell Jazz his opinion of it, only to snap his mouth shut at the look she gave him. He cleared his throat, setting the coffee down. “BESIDES I was well within my right! What were you two thinking running off with those brats!?” Danny who was lazily poking at his scrambled eggs, “Thinking of kicking Dick and that it be funny to be kidnapped.” “Danny.” Jazz huffed, hands on her hips as she whipped back to face him. Danny just shrugged at her. “And you Jasmine!? Off with that boy! Have you lost your mind girl?! Bad boy look? REALLY-” “Not the first time-” Danny mumbled, only to get a look from Jazz. Message loud and clear, 'You're not helping!'. “Why can't you go to Harvard?! Or anywhere else!? I have the funds, my girl, just choose a place to go. You and Daniel don't have to stay in this filthy apartment, in this waste of a city! With terrible coffee and cat piss lining the hallways. You don't have to be here. That Asylum will get you killed and these vigilantes are like flies on a rotten carcass. So I trust them as little as I would Bruce to have a thought in his head!” Vlad moving dramatically, expressing with his hands as much as his voice. “I told you, Vlad. This is important to me! If I can learn and improve things here, then I can help so many more people than I could by being a family therapist. I could actually make a difference in their lives and the lives they affect. That's worth more than a comfy job writing psychology books and being a celebrity's psychologist.” Jazz huffed out of breath, tired of arguing her point. “And that's worth more than dying? What about Danny then?!” Vlad pointed out. His words making Danny flinch. Danny just stuffed his face with his eggs, looking away from them. He didn't want to be apart of this. “What if you perished because of your obsession with helping this god-forsaken place?! Of course I would take in Daniel, but his core would be damaged! Ghosts don't take grief well.” He hissed the last part. Danny frowned. Wanting to say he was fine, but the image of Dan made him shiver as he stabbed his eggs. At least growing up again means delaying looking like his future self... past.. self? He would only be four years younger than Dan was... Danny's eye twitched at the thought, hands clenching tight the fork in his hand. “I know that Vlad, but I have you know we TALKED about it. To get a doctorate in psychology will take years, so my plans won't even be in full swing until he's almost grown. Also I like to remind SOMEONE that I have nanobots in my blood stream so I be a bit harder to kill.” She put her hands on her hips. Vlad cleared his throat, looking away from her at the mention. He put the coffee mug to his lips, “Yes, well. I still think your obsession with this city is just as bad as your parents-” Vlad felt a dark chill down his spine that not even his hot watery coffee could warm. He quickly stammered to correct himself, “Oh. .did I .. I mean um. You know what, dear Jasmine. I-i think I may have been a little... dramatic. You are a grown woman and.. have.. your own ...ambitions. Who am I to judge...? hm?” He sipped his coffee loudly, as he stared at Jazz, whose eyes glimmered darkly. He was hoping that was enough to cool the situation. Jazz took a deep breath and turned away to grab her lunch bag and purse. Danny pushed from the table, hopping down to follow her, only for Jazz to put her hand in front of Danny to stop him. “Stay here with.. UNCLE Vlad, Danny. I'll be back at dinner.” Jazz running her fingers through her hair before putting it up in a ponytail. Danny stumbled back, confused. “What?! Why do I have to be punished?! Vlad's the one that-” “Danny, PLEASE. I just want to be alone, okay?” Jazz looked exhausted. Clearly she needed the break. Danny scrunched up his face and crossed his arms with a huff. Cursing Vlad in his head. “Don't worry about making dinner dear Jasmine! I-I'll order from that run-down- I mean quaint Italian restaurant you like.” Vlad doing his best to get on her good side, realizing how badly he slipped up with that comment. “Daniel and I will have a wonderful time.” Jazz and Danny both groaned as she turned to stomp out, closing the door with a hard slam behind her. Danny flinched at the noise, and rubbed his arm. He stared down at his feet. This was first time in a while he seen her so upset. If he wasn't so small, they wouldn't have to argue like that. They could dump Vlad and be on their merry way. Danny sighed, then he glanced over to Vlad who dramatically flailed back on the couch with a groan. A hand over his face as the coffee was set on the table. He too let out a loud sigh. “What am I going to do with that girl? Insisting on living like this- surely you would like somewhere better? Right Daniel?” “Danny. And it's fine.” Danny muttered as he walked over to the table where his breakfast still sat. He picked up his plate and decided to throw it away. He didn't feel hungry anymore. “You two don't even have to live with me! It could be an apartment in a safer place. Nothing too fancy.” Vlad waved his hand as he talked, the other still on his face. Danny snorted. Vlad's version of nothing too fancy was far drastic than their image of it. “Vlad, I don't even want you here, let alone a place you own.” “Yes yes. Because of the cloning, the murder plotting, and all that.” Vlad sighed again, before removing his hand off his face peaking at the corner where Danny emerged from the kitchen. “But seriously, you can't be happy here. Aren't you afraid of what could happen to her?” Danny flinched and stared down at his feet. He rubbed his arm as he swayed in his spot. He debated on answering him. “I'm fine.. and of course.. I worry. But I delayed her life already, she deserves to seek out her dreams, ya know?” Vlad stared at him and then rolled over on the couch with a groan. “You two will be the death of me.” Danny rolled his eyes as he moved through the living room. He glanced at the tv that was playing one of Vlad's favorite soap operas, and then glanced over to the door to his room. He debated on just watching videos or playing in his room, but.. He glanced at the front door. “Hey... Vlad?” Danny asked hesitantly, refusing to look at the man. “Yes, Daniel?” Vlad never moved to look at him either, his voice showing his exhaustion. His tired face staring at the tv screen. Danny stared at his hands, the question catching in his throat. Vlad waited a few moments, then shuffled to get up on his elbows, staring back at Danny with a raised brow. Danny twiddling his fingers, frozen. “Well? Get on with it.” Danny jerked staring back up at Vlad, matching his eyes. He blinked for a moment then glanced back to the side, taking a breath. Gathering his courage to ask in a squeaky, “......How's mo- how's our... parents doing?” Vlad's eyes stayed on Danny for a hard moment. Danny could see out the corner of his eyes, Vlad's flashing red with rage before cooling down. He sat up with a heavy groan, rubbing his face with his hand. Looking older by the minute. “Daniel-Danny.. its best you forget about them.” “I want to know.” Danny stated firmly or as firmly as he could. Vlad shook his head, looking away from the child. He propped his head on his hand, while he drummed his fingers with his other hand on the coffee table. His face morphing into sympathy or perhaps pity as he thinks about what to tell Danny. “They're still alive and bumbling fools.” Vlad rolled his tongue, trying not to let his anger get the best of him. “Do they.. still-” Danny tried to asked, afraid of the answer but wanting to hear it. His fist balling up in his shirt. “Yes. They still think you took their child- Danniel-Danny I really do think its best you stop worrying about them.” Vlad really reluctant to tell Danny more, not wanting to mention how delusional their parents had gotten. “I can't.” Danny stressed, pulling on his shirt. Vlad nodded, “Of course you can't. Oh what am I going to do with you?” Vlad's voice sounded more concern and gentle than Danny was use to. Danny stared at the floor, feeling his eyes water. Stupid. He knew the answer before he asked. He took breaths to keep his tears back and turned to run into his bedroom. The tv clicked off and he felt a ruffle of his hair before he could run. “I think we're overdue for a flight, don't you little badger?” Vlad smiled. “Don't try to teach me anything.” Danny said, his voice shakier than he would have like. “Don't plan on it, now come along. Be embarrassing to be out in our jammies.” Vlad ushering Danny towards the bedroom. “Jammies?” Danny questioned the childish nickname for pjamas. “Pjs, pjamas, sleepwear.” Vlad tiredly explained. Danny just frowned, but just wiped his face and sighed. He ran to his room to change, trying his best to forget about his parents again. He still didn't really get the answer he wanted, but perhaps its better he didn't know how far they were going.

So far from what I’ve read from your DPxDC fanfictions I’m in love. Danny would just thrive so much having other supers/vigilantes to bounce off of.
BUTT it got me thinking… What about Dani? She doesn’t have the ghost crown tying her to Amity Park nor is she responsible for any ghost containment. If she’s really stabilized she can go wherever she wants in the world. Heck if she’s feeling drained she could take a dunk in a Lazarus Pit for all we know. Plus she’s got the black hair blue eyes too. AND a very good reason not to trust rich men wanting to adopt kids.
Danny would become top tier hero if he had other heroes to rely on >w< He already has the powers and from experience knows that life is in his hands, plus natural leader. I thought a lot about Dani's dynamic in DC crossover. There is a lot you can do with her, plus it be easier for her to run into heroes because she's roaming around. Also think it be fun if someone did a story of Catwoman semi-adopting Dani.. She be so proud of her little thief. XD I can see them both jiving well together. Meet while stealing =w= With the bats in particular, can see her wandering into Gotham and running into them. If she gives any of them a time of day its because one of them reminds her of Danny, so that little bit of security... (Which wouldn't be Bruce because Batman scary XD) Tim or Dick more likely.. or even Jason because he has that ghostly feel. Anyways Dani I see as a loner mischievous type, she's still fresh to the world so she doesn't have strong morals. I think Batman would actually be really good for her to grow, plus Batman actually has experience with kids that act like her. Once he overcomes her trust issues with billionaires of course. Dani also I don't see as the heroic type, anti-hero at best. She just rather be free and have fun, so I can see her running around as robin just for funs but decide heroing isn't for her. Her getting excited about doing normal things until she realize they're boring like school XDD. Can see Cass being a good mentor/older figure for her too. Dani would wreck havoc at galas.. and Bruce couldn't prove a thing. =w=' Kek. But like I said I see Bruce being a good figure for Dani because of his experience with the other kids.. and having strong morals. Which encourages Dani to start revaluating her own morale and what she is or isn't ok with. What crosses the line for her. Idk if her and B ever be close but she definitely would love all her family members and fight for them in a heartbeat. Ooo can also see if Batman doesn't know about Danny yet... Dani probably confusing the heck out of them.. when she mentions Danny.. because Dani is her name XD... but also them finding out about her "cuz". In DC crossover I see like Danny being good for Bruce's growth more than his own and Bruce being better for Dani's growth. Because Danny isn't like the other kids he's adopted.. despite looking and acting similar. He KNOWS the dangers, he knows how bad a screw up can change everything. He's half-dead, so he's very well aware that death is a possibilty. So Bruce would have to change his approach if he ever want to get close to/mentor Danny. Kek sorry for long post. I had the Dani thing explained better in my head, but anyways. Dani is perfect to use for a dp x dc especially for the bats. Tim bringing over Kon... Connner? ......k or c? ANYWAYS brings him over and she can relate to another clone. If going off from what I have written from my own fanfic.. can see Dani existing makes Danny and Bruce argue.. because Bruce like why haven't you told me and leaving her alone like that was irresponsible. Danny like WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM ME BRUCE?! I'm 16, she doesn't have a cellphone, and the only place that ISNT safe for her is my home town. Well until now.. AND WE HAVE A VENDETTA AGAINST BILLIONAIRES! Why would I tell someone I'm still trying to learn to trust?! Plus I like to make sure she's ok with it before telling you. Because its HER LIFE that's at risk. Anyways Danielle has so much potential. She just hyper little op demon. Chaotic little girl. ..again sorry for the long thing XD

I had this in my drafts for a while.
=====
Three new vigilantes… rouges….Antiheroes in Gotham and they weren’t tied to the Bats. These three work together it seems. Two had taken to the streets and one in their ears, like Oracle. Their names had spread like wildfire. A shorter girl with black hair who called herself Primrose, a tall girl called Nightingale, and a hacker named Pharoh.
“Still keeping an eye on those three?” Nightwing said from behind him as he filed a new report.
“Jason says that they mainly stay around Crime Alley, so their base is close by him.”
“They never travel far… maybe there is a range to their comms.”
“That’s not it.” Oracle interrupted them.
“What do you have?”
“I had managed to break into their coms. You know how they steal medical supplies sometimes?”
“Yeah, we had always thought that it was just for them to use or maybe the hacker needed them.”
“No, it’s not for him, they have a fourth member. Apparently, he is in really rough shape. He is also Nightingale’s little brother.”
A pause.
“Why don't they take him to a clinic or a hospital?”
“Given the others' wary nature and Primrose’s use of magic, he could be a meta-human or supernatural adjacent.”
“They’re also not that trusting of many adults.”
“Yeah, I'm sure Primrose flipped you the bird quite a few times….They get along with Harley and Ivy though.”
“Oracle, continue trying to break through their firewalls I need more information. Nightwing take my patrol route and see if you can talk to them. I have a meeting with The Justice League tonight,  I will bring this up with Zatanna and Constantine.”
====
Hood had noticed the three new vigilantes but they didn't cause much trouble, they helped most of the time, so he left them alone. The three teenagers seemed to be angry or sad most of the time. He’d often catch Primrose punching thugs just a little harder than usual or see Nightingale crying on a rooftop. Hood wanted to stop but he wasn’t Wing. And even when Wing tried to lighten the mood with one of his shitty puns it seem to make it worse.
 He had a different approach by leaving some medical supplies for them. Primrose and Nightingale had gotten closer to him after that, asking questions about Gotham mostly. Nightingale asked for different supplies and ways she could help out more. Primrose had asked about Gotham’s occult ties.
This is how he learned about Danny. Nightingale had approached him first.
“I need to ask you something, Red Hood.”
“You can just call me Hood. And I want to ask you about the medical supplies you steal.”
Nightingale backed up a little but then stood tall.
“We need them for…my brother.”
“Most of the clinics would be able to help you if you need it. Some don't even ask any questions.”
“He’s a special case, Hood. Not many doctors know how to help him..” She muttered at the end but Hood didn’t catch it.
The conversation was interrupted by Primrose landed beside Nightingale glaring at Hood the entire time.
“Look if you help out more I can get you more medical supplies but I need more information. Why steal from Bookstores and antique shops? What do you need?”
Both Primrose and Nightingale looked even more tired. They were close to their last straw, apparently.
Primrose spoke up first. “The reason I stole from antique shops and old bookstores is because Danny is not human or not entirely…. He is tied to death magic making it extremely hard to heal him after what they…after what happened to him.” She bit out that last part.
“Ivy and Harley have helped out quite a bit already but…”
“None of the herbs that Ivy has have helped him.”
This was a little farther than Hood had hoped he would get but he wouldn’t look a gift horse in the mouth.
“Batman and Nightwing have a few acquaintances in the magic community, they might be able to help.”
Primrose and Nightingale looked at each other. They started discussing something but in a different language, Tim had told him that the three had sometimes spoken in Esperanto and thought it was to keep their conversation private.
“Bring them in. We want to meet them first.”
“I’ll tell the Bats.”
 ====
Bruce was almost grateful when Oracle interrupted the Justice League meeting. Constantine was not helpful in explaining the threat that he was complaining about. Zatanna had taken over explaining that the Infinite Realms, a dimension of the dead that is basically the glue in between dimensions had lost their Prince. The Prince had disappeared one day and never returned and the entirety of the realms was looking for him. The denizens of these realms were actively looking for their precious prince. The only information they had on the Prince is that he is extremely powerful, having defeated the previous king in single combat and he was young given that many of them had called him “ghost boy” or “young warrior”. Even a ghost child, the princess, had said she misses her brother.
“His name is Phantom. There are many stories within the magical community about his actions.” Raven had said.
“Yeah, kids a dime a dozen. Real powerhouse…Look the realms are a mixed bag of powerful entities. Many of them are from different mythology and many of them see Phantom as their kid so it's best if we keep an eye out for him or any of those from the infinite realms.”
Oracle had then sent Batman the information Hood had gotten from Primrose and Nightingale.
“Is there something that you wish to add, Batman?” Superman questioned.
“...Yes, There are four individuals in Gotham that require assistance from a magical user.”
Constantine had chosen that time to port out of the conference room leaving Zatanna, Raven and Captain Marvel who could only sigh at his antics.
“You don’t usually ask for help with anything in Gotham, are you sure about this?” Zatanna asks.
Bruce wasn't sure, which was saying something but he chose to trust in the information Hood and Oracle had gathered. He pulled up the information and images of the vigilantes. Many of those outside the magic users had chosen to leave.
“Yes, these individuals have been in Gotham for a few months. Although they often help with many thugs and criminals around Gotham they also have been seen stealing medical supplies and many antiques and books with ties to the occult. We had originally believed that the medical supplies were for their hacker named Pharaoh and the occult items were for Primrose, their magically inclined member to improve her control.”
Batman had pulled up a video of Primrose using magic vines to subdue a thief before he escaped.
“She shows advanced knowledge of the occult as well as a great control of magic.”
“You said that you originally thought that they had stolen books to improve their magic but…”
“New information has come to light.”
Batman had brought up a frame of the feed from Hood’s helmet, displaying Nightingale and Primrose.
“Nightgale had approached Hood to seek help. She and Primrose had told Hood about her brother named Danny who is believed to be deeply tied to the occult and heavily injured with no way of seeking proper aid.”
The video plays with Primrose and Nightingale talking in Esperanto.
“Danny bezonas la helpon, Ĵazo. Li ankoraŭ ne vekiĝis.”
“Mi scias, sed…”
“Ni devas provi... li ne pliboniĝas.”
(Note :
“Danny needs the help, Jazz. He hasn't woken up yet.”
"I know, but..."
"We have to try... he's not getting better.)
“They sound …” Captain Marvel said concerned.
“They sound like they really need the help. When can we meet them?” Zatanna interrupted.
“You can meet them tomorrow. Hood is setting up a meeting with them in Robinson Park.” Oracle had announced from the conference room’s speakers.
“I’ll look into more healing spells and anything I think might help… I will also see what Constantine knows.”
“I will ask Solomon and see if I can gather any information that can help.” Captain Marvel
=====
Robinson Park 9 pm
The park was quiet. Ivy still maintained most of the park, making sure it was clean and the plants were cared for. Of course, most of Gotham knew to stay away from Ivy’s plants so most of the park was empty. Apparently, Primrose and Ivy had gotten along well enough that they helped each other with the park. Harley and Ivy had even come along to the meeting.
“Ya Bats and magic morons better not hurt Rosy and her family!” Harley yelled at Batman.
“We are here to help, that’s all.”
“It’s okay, Harley,” Nightingale said, turning back to face Batman, Zatanna, Captain Marvel and Raven. “Thanks for coming.”
“You said your brother needs help. How can we help?” Captain Marvel asks.
“You should know if you so much as..” Primrose started to threaten.
“Rose!” Nightingale interrupted “They are here to help and …we …Danny really needs it. We have to try.” Everyone could tell how stressed she was, her voice was quiet and breaking off.
Harley, Ivy, and Primrose had quieted down, each looking equally stressed and tired.
“Please explain the situation.” Batman had said.
“My brother is… he is not entirely human.” Nightingale paused taking a deep breath and continued. “Where we are from they hunted people like him. Even our parents decided that he wasn’t their son anymore and decided that he was just a…ghost possessing him.” Nightingale was getting choked up her words were failing her.
Primrose continued, “His bastard parents decided that he should be captured and studied.” She hissed out that last word. Everyone got the picture.
“And you wanna know the most fucked up part. Their parents are …most of the reason Danny is what he is today. They built that stupid machine in the first place and I … am part of the reason too.”
“Danny was killed and brought back by their machine and they don't even take responsibility for it. I …I am at least trying to.” Ivy placed a hand on Primrose’s shoulder trying to calm her down.
“My parents… studied the Ghost zone or as most of the ghosts call it..”
“The infinite realms.” Zatanna interrupted.
“You know about the Ghost Zone?” Nightingale said that with hope.
“Your brother is tied to the infinite realms?” Captain Marvel asks.
“Yes, we are trying to find a way to help Danny but with no way to the realms, we can't. There is a healer in the GZ that can help but Danny is the only one that knows how to build a portal.”
“Batman, this may be related to what we discussed yesterday.” Zatanna turned back to Nightingale, “We need more information, there have been incidents where residents of the infinite realms have made pleas to find a ghost named Phantom.”
Nightingale and Primrose look at each other and then back at Zatanna.
“Phantom is what Danny calls himself when he is using his powers,” Nightingale said.
“We’ll help. Let us help.”
Nightingale tapped her comm. “Pharoh, expect company, we may have people who can help.”
====
Tucker, Jazz, Sam, and Danny had been in Gotham, in this dimension for five months. In the first few weeks, they had found an abandoned three-story brownstone in Crime Alley. It wasn’t much but it worked. They had to steal and fight back a few thugs to make the place their own. Sam had made wards to prevent any supernatural interference. Tucker had installed extra security around it even helping Jazz set up the medical equipment they stole. Danny had his own room, the door was always left open so they could rush in to help him.
When Tucker got the message from Jazz he ran through the Brownstone making sure that was ready. He checked on Danny too. He checked his vitals like Jazz had taught him. Ivy and Harley helped them set up the medical equipment and help Danny as much as possible.
Tucker walked to the hospital bed set up. He was listening to the uneven rhythm of Danny's heartbeat monitor.
“Hold on dude, help is coming.” He knew he was saying it just for himself because Danny probably couldn’t hear him.
When the proximity alarm went off he rushed to his computer to check for Jazz and shut off the alarm and security.
====
Jason knew about the brownstone that they were set up in. It was old and worn out on the inside, or it had been a few months ago. Landing on top of the brownstone he noticed the camouflaged security. Hidden turrets and occult symbols lined the roof. Whatever these kids went through, they seemed to be prepared for the worst.
Nightingale had led them through a hatch on the roof and through the attic. The inside was vastly different from the shabby outside. It looked more like a house than most places in Gotham. On the second floor, they stopped in a makeshift kitchen living room. A hotplate and kettle are set up on a table next to the mini-fridge. On the other side of the room was a pair of old couches.
“We left the first floor alone cause it dentures thugs and thieves. Even if they break in though Pharoh’s turrets will stun them enough to drag them out.” Primrose states almost begging someone to try.
She turned to Nightingale, “Go check on Danny I’ll talk to them.” Nightingale nodded solemnly and turned to walk down the hall walking into the room with the only door open.
“Ask your questions I am waiting.” Primrose glares behind her mask her eyes flash a deep purple.
“How long have you been operating like this?” Batman asks.
“In Gotham or…”
“From the beginning.”
“I still don't trust you…any of you. But I think we have exhausted every other avenue.” Primrose sighs.
“It’s not like we’re from this dimension anyway.” Primrose reaches behind her head and unclips her mask. A teenager, maybe around fifteen, her glare was a little less threatening than before given the eyebags that would rival Tim’s. Her eyes still had that purple glow to them that reminded Hood of the Pit rage and given Bat’s eyes narrow he thought the same.
“My name is Sam, not Sammy and definitely not Samatha. My friend’s name is Danny and it's partially my fault he is in this mess.” Sam took a deep breath, “Danny’s family built a portal to the ghost Zone, everyone in Amity Park called them crazy and they were right. The portal didn’t work at first and they gave up. And I was stupid, I wanted to have a look at the portal I mean they build something straight out of a sci-fi movie. I talked Danny into stepping into the portal to get a picture. Stupid, so stupid.” Sam paused and took another breath trying to calm down.
“His parents put the switch on the inside of the portal.” A new voice came from the hallway. Another equally haggard teenager wearing a yellow sweatshirt and pajama pants with a binary code pattern on them.
“I’m Pharoh, my real name is Tucker though.” he took the seat next to Sam and continued.
“The portal turned on with Danny inside. We watched our best friend die and changed into what the ghosts call a halfa, half human half ghost.”  Tucker struggled through that whole statement.
Each hero had their own reaction to those words. B’s shoulders straightened more than before. Zatanna’s expression changed from shocked to concerned. She was now in deep thought. Raven was the same as far as any of them could tell her hood covering her face. Captain Marvel looked like he was still thinking about how to react.
“Danny was hunted but all he was trying to do was keep people safe. They hunted my little brother even our own parents hurt him.” Nightingale spoke up from the hallway with acid in her voice. She was dressed in jeans and a long-sleeved black shirt her orange hair tied into a bun.
 “Jazz, How is he?” Sam asks.
“Still the same. Nothing has changed.”
“What can we do to help?”
The teens looked at each other. “We need more information. Is there anything that we can use to help Danny? Anything from the ghost zone? Find something to heal him or someone.”
“I will ask Oracle if she can pull up any info on the infinite realms.”
“I look forward to working with them.”
Team Phantom get ripped from their home universe into the DCverse. With no money or real ID's in this world. Now thats a problem.
Another big problem is that Danny is badly injured and his core kinda put him into a deep cryo sleep. He needs to rest and gather ectoplasm.
Bigger problem Team Phantom have no clue how to get home because they don't know how to decode the Fenton Portal blue-prints, not even Jazz who at the time didn't pay attention to her parents portal work anymore by the time they finished it. The only one who does have an idea is Danny!
Biggest problem, they landed in a place called Gotham that seems to be overrun with actual villains and heroes? (vigilantes). And for some odd reason many of them seem to find them no matter where the Team goes to hide.
Until they can get their hands on a safe space, tech, and money, Team Phantom might have to go a bit Rogue/Villainous if they wanna keep Danny safe until he wakes up.

He doesn't say a damn thing.
Until he sees a news report about Red Robin being out a day after he was in Danny's office with a broken arm.
-----
When Alfred told him his presence was requested at Tim's school, Bruce didn't know what to think. Especially since there'd been no information in the summons besides that it was important.
He absolutely wasn't expecting to be brought to the nurse's office where a young black haired man stared at him through narrowed eyes while Tim sat on one of the examination tables with his arm in a sling.
The nurse dismissed his guide and continued to glare at Bruce.
"I take it you know why I've asked you to come here?" asked the man with ice in his voice.
Bruce blinked in surprise, but fixed his Brucie persona on and smiled broadly. "I haven't the foggiest! Did Tim get into some trouble? Is he sick? Usually if that's what happens, the school is fine telling me over the phone. But they were quite reticent with the details and merely insisted I come as soon as I could."
"Hmmm. You're good. I'll give you that."
Tim chuckled. "Mr. Fenton, I told you, my living situation is fine. There's no need to interrogate Bruce."
Bruce didn't have to feign the surprise he felt at that statement from Tim and let every ounce of it show. "You, you don't think I'd hurt Tim, do you? I love him! I love all my kids!"
"Love doesn't mean you won't hurt him. But no, I know you aren't abusive, Mr. Wayne. However, I needed to talk to you both. Tim has a broken arm. Gotham has, like, a dozen heroes. There was no reason for Red Robin to be out last night."
Bruce didn't let his expression waver, but Tim couldn't quite hold his surprise or protests back. "I- what are you talking about? I was home in bed last night, high on pain pills."
Brucie let out a laugh. "You can't seriously believe I'd let my boy fight crime! Do you have any idea how dangerous that would be? Gotham is scary at night!"
But Danny just rolled his eyes. He'd be asking Barbara to look into him as soon as he was off campus. And he assumed Tim would be doing the same.
"Look, from a former vigilante to current ones, the injuries and excuses are ridiculously obvious. I might've been able to get out of the game by the time I graduated high school, but I remember the injuries and sleepless nights and constant lying. I had to keep working through it because I was the only hero back home who was at all competent and not genocidal. You, Mr. Drake, have a supportive family and friends who are in the know and can take over for you. And you don't have super healing. So. I will not see Red Robin in the field for at least three months or I will have to intervene."
Bruce let the Brucie mask fall away as he narrowed his eyes and stood that much taller. "Are you threatening me?"
Danny laughed, completely unphased. "Trust me, Mr. Wayne, there's nothing you could do to stop me. And your government has spent ten years trying. But no, I won't hurt you, your kids, or your friends. I will make Tim rest, though. By force if I have to."
"Who, who were you?" asked Tim hesitantly. "When you were a hero."
Danny waved a hand in the air. "You wouldn't have heard of me. The US government made sure of that. But I went by the name of Danny Phantom."
Bruce couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at that and the nurse noticed, laughing again.
"Yeah, I wasn't the most creative fourteen year old out there. But, well, my hero persona was dead. No one expected me to have a secret identity. Toss in neglectful parents and overworked teachers..." He shrugged. "Go ahead and research me. I was based out of a town called Amity Park."
"You can be sure we will," Bruce said, infusing as much threat as he could into the simple statement. "And if we find that you told anyone about what you've learned..."
"I haven't. And I won't. I know how important secret identities can be. Even if I had to keep mine for the opposite reason as you Justice Leaguers do."
"What does that mean?" asked Tim.
"My rogues, as you'd call them, all knew who I was. There's no secrets among the dead, after all. Had to keep it a secret from the humans, though. Because they were the ones trying to hurt me. The very people I was protecting."
"What do you mean, 'among the dead'?" growled Bruce.
"Oh, that's how I became a hero. I died and came back. Just not all the way. The ghosts consider me one of them. My teen years were spent keeping the ghosts from hurting the humans and humans from hurting the ghosts. As soon as I was able to do that without spending all my time fighting them and made friends with all my 'rogues'"—Danny actually made air quotes—"I retired. Now, we're getting off track. Tim, I'm going to take an x-ray of your arm and sign you out of class for the rest of the week. On Monday, I want you to report back here so I can take a second x-ray and confirm you've actually rested that arm. What do you do for fun?"
"But isn't this a school nurse's office?"
Danny's eyes widened and he looked around frantically. "Is it? Oh Ancients! I had no idea! How'd we get here?" Settling back in his chair he raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you Bats supposed to be detectives or something?"
Tim was blushing now. "I just mean... school nurse's offices don't have x-ray machines."
"Ah, yes. I see where you're coming from now. School nurse's offices don't have x-ray machines." He stood and walked to a closet. The door opened in a way that the contents were not visible to Bruce even as he shifted position to try and see inside. Danny pulled out a large machine and turned to grin at them. "But I do."
Bruce let Tim ask the question of how he got a machine like that and both were surprised by the matter-of-fact, "Oh, I built it," he tossed out as he powered it on. It did not seem to need to be plugged into a power source. What sort of battery did it use?
"If you can build x-rays, why are you working as a nurse?"
"Because, if I went to school for engineering, my parents would expect me to go into the family business. And I'm not interested in genocide." He flicked a few more switches as Bruce was trying to figure out a response to that. Before he could, Danny was positioning Tim's arm. "This puts out way less radiation than standard x-rays. But I've got a protective vest if you'd like one."
"Uh, yeah. Definitely," insisted Tim to Bruce's relief.
Danny grabbed the vest and helped Tim put it on. "Now, you never answered my question. What do you do for fun?"
"I- what? Why do you care?"
"Because, I'm giving you the week off. You are under strict orders to sleep and catch up on at least one hobby. I like playing video games with my partners. When I was your age, Doomed was our favorite. My wife likes to garden and my husband is into programming. I like building things."
"I, um, I guess I like video games. I used to play them more when I was little. I skateboard, too, but I don't think you'd agree to let me do that."
"No, you are quite right. So, Mr. Wayne, on your way home with Tim, you will stop by a game store and buy him a new video game. Tim, on Monday when you come back for your next x-ray, you will show me your game progress as proof that you're not working yourself too hard." By the time he was done talking, he had taken the x-rays and was powering down the machine.
"You don't have the right to order me around." Bruce's voice was hard.
"No. But I do believe you love your son. And he needs to rest. I'm just doing what I can to make sure a patient under my care does what is necessary to heal. I thought that might be a goal we share. If I'm wrong, you can tell me so."
Bruce glared harder, but didn't have a response. "We will get that game."
Danny grinned and clapped his hands. "Great! Now, I assume you or one or more of your brood will be visiting me tonight after you do some research into my background. The windows to the living room of my apartment don't open, so you'll have to go through the bedroom. I look forward to your visit."
"How long have you known?" asked Tim.
"Known about what?"
"Who I was."
"Oh, I knew you were a vigilante since your third visit to my office. Took a bit longer to sort through all the heroes of Gotham to figure out which one. But that's only because I pay less than zero attention to heroes. Once you live the life and get out... Well, I didn't want to get sucked back in."
"Hn," hummed Bruce. "I will be seeing you again."
"I don't doubt it. Feel free to come to Tim's Monday checkup, too, if you'd like."
Bruce nodded once and grabbed Tim's backpack. Gesturing to his son, he indicated he should follow. As soon as they were out the door, he put the Brucie mask back in place, but was already making plans.

Okay, I was trying not to harp too much on dc canon here but you rbed first so I'm considering this a go-ahead lol
The whole "no metas in Gotham" thing is a mix of canon and fanon. Canon implied it, and fanon took it to an extreme.
Bruce not wanting metas (or any other vigilantes) in Gotham is heavily implied by both him and the narrative. He does not specifically state it - it's one of those read in between the lines things. Bruce, through actions and words, has proven for about twenty years that he doesn't like meta vigilantes in Gotham. It's not all meta people - he specifically has an issue with vigilantes. And there are multiple canonical reasons for this: metas can do more damage to Gotham and its citizens (on purpose or accident/out of their control), the more meta vigilantes there are the more crime will rise to the challenge, meta trafficking rings, etcetc. There's a lot of nuance to it and it's not going to be the same answer for every person Bruce meets, but in general, he doesn't Love it when metas are in town. It makes things harder for him, the citizens, and the metas themselves.
Bruce is not bigoted against metas; he just specifically doesn't want meta heroes/vigilantes/criminals showing up because that usually makes things worse for everyone. He does get uneasy with unidentified metas, but that still leads to his actual reasons above. He's not actually forcing them out of Gotham, he wouldn't be able to and he's not trying to. He is trying to keep track of and document them though (again, for reasons listed above). (like there are a lot of different plots where random metas are rounded up to be killed, abused, and/or taken advantage of.)
One of the only things that Bruce has said that's really been bigoted in nature is telling Cass that he doesn't want her to associate with "his kind" in reference to Kon (batgirl run). Which is yknow, rude as fuck but could be brought down to Bruce being overprotective of Cass knowing what Kon used to be like. Everything else is just normal Batman paranoia and planning.
The thing about Duke is that he is the exception. He's not the rule, he's the exception. Gotham is Duke's home, and he proved that he could be trusted and trained. There have been other metas who operate in Gotham or come and go (Black Canary, Gotham Girl, Zatanna, to name a few), but Duke being in the batfam is an exception. And the narrative is very clear about that. Bruce takes him in because he sees a traumatized teen, who has the potential to do a lot of good, who wants to do good, and who has proven that he can help people. But he also takes him in because he has powers and he needs to be trained to use them for good and not fall through the cracks or be killed because he's a meta (one who happens to be drawing attention to himself by helping people).
In regard to Danny specifically, if he's trying to pretend he's a normal citizen, then no, Bruce wouldn't particularly care unless something weird is up. If Danny is very clearly a vigilante/getting into shit, then yes, Bruce will care. And he'll care a lot about Danny not being from Gotham. It's not his home, so he has no business being there. If he's still a teen in the au, then Bruce will be nicer about it, but if he's an adult? Bruce will immediately be questioning why he's there, what his powers are, what he uses them for, how long he plans to be in Gotham, etcetc. Bruce will make it known that he doesn't approve of an unknown meta vigilante stirring shit up in his city.
So again, mix of canon and fanon. Canon makes it clear - fanon exaggerates.
ALSO for your angst dpxdc consideration: danny would absolutely still be considered a meta. the term "meta" is used in a very vague, umbrella way where basically anyone who isn't a normal human is a meta. so even without the proper meta gene, danny would still be considered a meta by basically everyone (especially bruce). canonically speaking, danny isn't just a normal booooo kinda ghost - he also has some insane powers (like his ghost wail!) so he'd be considered a person with superpowers and therefore a meta.
so when you're writing dpxdc fics, please consider this! danny would be a meta in the dcu! kick that kid out of gotham!!!!
#the out of universe explanation is its about the vibes lol#even with the other meta heroes in gotham dc is still trying to make batman more gritty and realistic#which means no superpowers and the metas that Are there are carefully designed to still feel down to earth#at least in more recent years they have been#anyway bruce's reaction to kon is actually very funny id recommend everyone read that if they havent#its completely uncalled for and way out of line but also funny as shit#'call your boy off' MY GUY?????#but yeah anyway bruce doesnt have a no meta rule but he does have a Be Cautious Of Metas rule#like the fanon aspect was just people exaggerating it and making bruce more of a guard dog who bites metas and kicks them out#the canon is that bruce likes to know whats happening in his city and keep it as safe as possible for everyone in it#meta civilians and vigilantes make that harder but vigilantes are especially annoying and sometimes dangerous#duke Is the exception and the narrative is Very Obvious about that#thats actually a huge part of his character arc and him not feeling like a typical member#again bruce isnt bigoted so there's no reason to act like he's like a.. meta racist yknow?#its not fantasy racism its normal batman paranoia and control freakism#he's not like. prejudiced. he's cautious and worried#about gotham civilians - criminals upping their game - metas getting hurt etc#he has Actual sound reasons to be cautious of metas using their powers - its not because he's prejudiced aldhg#dcxdp#long post#also id like to apologize in advance if any of this sounds aggressive or mean#im reading it back and i dont think it does but i know tone is hard to convey online#so please read this as loving rambles from a dc fan and not like idk whatever sounds mean i guess

Ellie was the only one I could think of that would totally see an unintended mundane - or as mundane as Gotham can produce - child doing a rather well-good job of taking picture shots of evasive vigilantes without being caught by said vigilantes and/or criminals and think “mine now!” She is chaotic and Tim Drake is canonically a troll, @krzys2000 , so it’s only fitting =3
Tim was more than happy to share his photos with her when she asked. While Tim is aware of stranger danger let’s not forget he’s also a child that’s been neglected and he’s age nine to Ellie’s age twelve here, so she’s only a few years (physically) older than him, and he doesn’t see reason why he SHOULDN’T trust her since she’s been so far good to him? Ellie doesn’t know much about photography, but she’s got a keen eye for detail and finds Tim’s photos to be cool.
As soon as Ellie finds out Tim’s donors decides to skip town on a months’ long vacation leaving him without even somebody to check up on him and again she says No to that, has him pack up some belongings and tells him she’ll be taking him to visit her family.
And oh boy is that a big thing of an issue when the Fenton’s meet Tim and find out his circumstances.
Danny’s being a hero would have him not want to curse Tim’s parents for the sake of Danny not wanting to do something amoral. However, I’d like to remind you that it’s Danny. I have a few candidates that he could ask to help with Tim’s situation, the list being Poindexter, Technus, or even Youngblood.
Jazz sees this black haired child with blue eyes filled with tentative yet waning hope in them and can’t help but be instantly reminded of Danny when he was younger, wishing for their parents to pay attention to them rather than their inventions. She would not want to let Tim return to such an abusive situation however would be the more realistic that they can’t just kidnap a whole ass child without a plan.
Question, Jack and Maddie realizing the error of their ways and trying to be better parents to their kids or no?
Prompt based on this meme:
Tumblr media
Danny: What you got there?
Ellie holding a smoothie in one hand, and with kiddie Tim tucked under one arm, drinking his own smoothie: A smoothie.
Basically, Ellie adopting kiddie Tim. She’d been doing her cross country fly trip, visiting Gotham. Going invisible to not be spotted, Ellie ends up spotting the Bat and bird’s tag-along, a little kid that’s lugging around a camera.
Of course, she’s interested in what his deal is. This is a little kid that’s out late at night chasing vigilantes who are chasing criminals. Does he have good blackmail photos?
And look, she didn’t really intend to adopt a kid, but now she had because he’s a neglected child in a mansion too big and too lonely that he sought to keep himself sane by chasing after vigilantes.
Ellie is only a bit older than Tim, so she can’t be his mom, so she settles with being the most badass sister, second only to Jazz! Because it’s Jazz. She has the right to the #1 title.
Tim meanwhile is finding himself enjoying having an older sister that can walk through walls, disappear, and fly! It makes getting pictures of Batman and Robin so much easier with her help!

I love this idea.
But I even more so enjoy the idea that both Danny and Jason are 100% completely and fully aware how weird this situation is. It’s their lizard brains responding in that fashion, not their conscious thought. Not only because it has the chance to set up some Very comedic misunderstandings but also because it allows for the characters to act more like they do in the comics.
Another thing to understand is that Danny doesn’t know the Batfam personally in this. So to Danny, holy shit that’s the Red Hood! The guy who he knows killed a lot of criminals in some sort of no-morals Batman fashion.
(Be honest to yourselves, the news would Not report that Red Hood was killing less people, just when he was killing people of note. Y’all know how the news cycle works and y’all know I’m right. Public opinion outside of Gotham would still view him as “that vigilante in Gotham who uses guns and killed a fuck ton of people but the bats support him for whatever reason.” Only people in crime alley who are actively seeing the change occur would really know that Red Hood is actually improving Gotham.)
But like, how the hell has he never heard that this guy was a ghost.
But he pushes that to the side because a teenager (a reminder that Jason was 15 when he died and is most likely the age Danny would perceive him to be) is bleeding out in front of him and he Has to get this guy to a doctor because Danny has zero idea how to handle an injury like this.
He’s fully aware how stubborn and foul mouthed teenagers are, considering, well, he was one recently and after saving Casper High students around that age for 4 years, he’s very aware how to deal with teenagers in difficult situations.
But what Danny was not expecting was the next words strained out of the Red Hood’s mouth as dribbles of blood spewed past the masked man’s lips.
“.. mom?”
.
.
.
What?
———
Jason was having a very weird day.
First a villain with a grudge got the upper hand on him and gassed him, chasing him into one of the neighborhoods of Gotham not yet cleaned up after last week’s different yet still un-memorable villain attack.
Now he’s laying bleeding out with a piece of rebar stuck in his side as with every second that ticks on, his metahealing from The Pit continues to heal with the piece of metal still inside of him.
Desperately trying once more to move his right arm, wedged between the break of a concrete support beam that fell during the previous week’s attack, the shifting only drives him further into the crevice. He can feel the rough, jagged edges of the break tear further through his leather jacket and scrape against his Kevlar padding. It was meant to deal with gunshots, not constant slow pressure. If he makes it out alive, his arm is sure to be bruised to high hell once he wrenches it free.
Despite all of Bruce’s clarity under extreme injury and pain resistance training, Jason knows he’s fighting a losing battle. His vision wobbles in and out as the slow and steady dripping of blood from his skewered left arm that’s pinned to his punctured side, fills the air of the dark debris-filled alley.
God, he’s going to miss Tim. Despite initially being furious that Bruce let another kid be Robin, Tim slowly earned his right as a Robin in his eyes. Learning the ins-and-outs of detective work faster than him or Dick ever did, a talent for hacking, and being able to keep a secret from Bruce no-questions-asked once he gained the kid’s trust. He was loyal to his friends, not Bruce; he admired that of the kid.
It might also have something to do with if he was lazy he could throw a target’s details the kid’s way and have all their dirty little secrets unearthed without him having to go through the time-consuming process of doing it himself. But hey, it was useful and saved him 5+ hours of work. Besides the kid did it faster so it was like saving him time x2.

(Bones Side Tangent: No titans tower incident, all my homies hate the titans tower incident and recognize how fucking buckwild ooc that was for Jason’s character and that Tim would initially be wary as hell of Jason. Sure he idolized the guy as Robin in the past, but Jason is clearly not the same person anymore and Tim’s observant as hell. He’s not going to trust Jason straight off the bat, it’d take a Long time for Jason to fully gain Tim’s trust.
Jason would probably like Tim once he got it settled in his head that Bruce was not replacing him, and that Tim very much so was Only There to keep Batman from making rash or dumb decisions and will 100% keep things behind Bruce’s back if asked by someone he trusts. Tim views himself as very independent and as a result, does not think should Bruce have to know everything Tim is doing or have to involve himself in everything in Tim’s life.)

Jason’s blurry thoughts were sharply interrupted by the sudden presence of a figure standing two feet in front of him. (Like, he knew he was pretty far gone, but not that far gone to not notice someone sneaking up on him. Dammit, how far gone was he? Shit. This doesn’t bode well for him.)
Carefully not jerking back from surprise to keep from jostling the rebar sticking through his torso and left arm. Jason blinked behind his domino, trying to clear green halo around his vision that made the figure in front of him seem like they were emanating the sickly neon light of The Pit.
The warmth of the figure seemed familiar, covering him in a blanket in a sense of security and flavor of happiness that he’s not felt in years. Not since before she picked up the bottles and syringes.
Trying to test his vocal cords caused him to cough, racking his body with pain as blood passed his lips,
“… mom?”
A brief pause.
The gentle sound blood dripping down the pile of rubble filled the alleyway.
Then the figure spoke.
Opening its mouth, it spoke in the voice of a young man.
That was not his mom.
That was not his mom.
Who the fuck is standing in front of him?
What the fuck is standing in front of him?
Is that a dude in a hazmat suit?
Holy shit the figure’s eyes are actually glowing Pit green, that’s not just him imagining it.
Wait is this Death?
He thought Wally said Death wore a knock-off speedster uniform.
Does that mean Death is personalized?
Wally’s appeared as a speedster, it only figures his is reminiscent of the Lazarus Pits; the substance that brought him back to life is now going to take him in death.
Very poetic.
Well, if Wally can outrun this bitch, he might as well try to escape it’s grasp as Death babbles on about taking Jason to the “Far Frozen” to “get better and take that piece of metal out of your side.”
“Come on dude, I can’t knock you out if you continue to struggle because I don’t know if you’d wake up from that. Could you please wait to try injure yourself further after the yeti’s fix you up?”
Wait did Death just say they’re going to visit a yeti?
Hold on, he might’ve missed something here?
