The horror would DEFINITELY arrive when you're a civilian in Gotham tho. No combat training, knife skills only used for cooking or scraping nasty shit off walls, and flexibility just enough to pass gym class or sprint to commute for your nine-to-five work.

But pretty sure what WILL bring the (bat)fam to the yard will be the VERY obvious goodwill Reader would display. Well I’ll be damned, I gotta give it to WIT they COOKED today with the story and the production values. We FINALLY get the real deal with the queen and some amazing fight scenes. You knew this was gonna be a banger when they skipped the OP 🔥

To the surprise of no one we find out the queen is not actually the queen, but an evil demon who was thought to be defeated in the past. While the reveal wasn’t shocking, I did feel bad for the princess in that whole scene up until Cecil saved her. When was the last time she talked to her actual mom? Was that even her in the flashbacks when she’d sneak out to the commoner areas and get lectured? Her whole world came caving in around her, no wonder she had a mini breakdown and became this world’s Harley lol.

I knew they didn’t make her look like Harley for nothing! Loved the scene of her changing into the Harley makeup. Beating up the mind controlled noble and going full blown Gotham city, cursing up a storm and being a badass. For someone that’s been so caged up all these years, she’s a great leader

Harley’s influence is truly unmatched. She doesn’t even know how big an inspiration she’s been to Fionne. Seeing someone live so free must’ve resonated a lot with the princess!

The second half of the episode was so damn good man. The king shark and killer croc fights as well as Harley v enchantress looked amazing, and it’s fitting they bring back Arty the dragon for the best looking episode. He and his mom got shafted in that ep a few weeks ago which looked so cheap. And what’re they feeding these dragons over there to make him grow that fast so quickly 😂

But the twists aren’t done! What’s going on with enchantress? And how are they gonna deal with the demon, Waller and everything else in this finale? Really don’t want this to end man I hope we get more dc anime stuff after this.

VERY! Her hyper-independence and tendency to self-isolate and the relationships both these vices have stagnated and killed is a big one. She is quite stunted emotionally and her way of processing things is usually acting out and doing/saying something mean and stupid. That part in book two where the detective overhears the love interest talking to A? Deva despite not even wanting there to be anything deeper to her and Mason’s flirting, gets pissed and outright chooses to kiss Bobby back at her apartment… like what.  

15. Does your OC have a faceclaim? If so, who?

ARGHH I’ve talked about this to you before and still cannot decide… Initially I just had a vague idea in my head of what I wanted her to look like and didn’t care much how I drew her, other than her being biracial which is important to meeee (and me remembering her birthmark lol) but I’ve been trying to cobble together an inspiration board going forward to help keep her look consistent and I’m really liking a mixture of some features of Devon Aoki and Paula Kawanishi. Neither are exact faceclaims (she has bushier heavier brows though, a squarer jaw than Devon’s but a shorter and rounder face than Paula’s, etc.) but they’re sort of my go-to base refs for drawing her face from now on I think :D they’re both so damn striking too. def need to redraw a portrait bust at some point

She was probably thinking like 'Felix betrayed us, Sasha is all I have left and now she's dead bc of these mfs, I've lost Rhys and who knows what the fuck is happening with Vaughn, Athena is also probably dead, there's literally nothing left for me.' And everyone knows, you can't win against someone who has nothing to lose.

A lot of what the Tales crew do is wonderfully unhinged but I think my absolute favourite example of it has to go to when Fiona confronts Vallory in episode 5.

To put it into perspective there is a rampaging vault monster in the middle of a dust storm. Helios had just fallen and Fiona had to crash down to Pandora in an escape pod and is now completely alone with no backup, fully believing Sasha to be dead. Vallory has a rocket launcher and is firing repeatedly at Gortys in an attempt to destroy her to get rid of the Traveller before it kills everyone.

And what does Fiona do? Fiona who bear in mind was shot through the hand while up on Helios, Fiona who is armed with one tiny sleeve pistol while Vallory has a literal rocket launcher, Fiona who is quite literally having the worst day of her life.

Well she kicks Vallory in the head and holds her at gunpoint of course!

Completely ignores the giant alien monster, she just takes a running start and launches herself off of Vallory's own rocket launcher and kicks her in the head, pulls out her tiny little derringer and points it at the woman who is wielding literal explosives, and just doesn't even care about the fact she's right next to a raging vault monster.
