It’s as if a chapter has finally come to a close when I found out who the sasusaku artist was, that I saw all over the internet, when I was younger. It makes me wonder what those artists, who curated my style from back then, are doing now. I hope they’re doing well. I looked back at the work from older artists and remember the feeling of awe and I often wondered if I would be able to create art like that. It’s like a reminder to myself not to be so critical of what I can do now bc I know for a fact that if my younger self saw my art, I’m sure she would’ve been filled with the same sense of admiration that I felt back then.
