#but anyways I stumbled again and man didn't the quarantine memories hit

I think something I always wanted to portray in my art but have never properly been able to is that weird feeling of finding something again, something incredibly mundane that at simple glance holds no meaning but because of x or y reason it has. Like a food stand that you and a friend decided to try years ago in a cold night, finding it years later and thinking about that now long gone friendship. Like finding a video that's linked to a horrible time in your life, and just seeing it again in a new context, feeling like everything has changed since that first time, feeling that nothing has changed.
That sort of abstract thing that's really hard to verbalize because it's such a fleeting experience usually, that's melancholic even if it isn't sad, is something I've no clue how to properly portray but damn, I've always wanted to
#mostly saying this because I stumbled into that internet checkpoint video#you know the one#that has that dk country music and a Japanese title#daryl talks games has a pretty good video on it#but anyways I stumbled again and man didn't the quarantine memories hit#or that second comment I left only seven months ago yet it feels like an eternity#the more things change the more they stay the same ig#also hopefully this makes sense to someone else that's not me
