Really loving the description in this book abt the ulster planatations of the diet of the ulster irish in the late 16th century seemingly consisting mostly of butter in various forms. we must bring this back

#+ trying not to overshare here but this is funny to me cos one time my granny tried to convince me that they don't have butter in northern #ireland so she (only keeps the imitation stuff usually) wouldn't have to buy it for me and then feel obligated to eat it when I was gone 💀#I was like 16 btw.
