@staff i think it's actually beautiful that this website is unique and complex enough to have a learning curve. Driving a car isn't a frictionless experience. Neither is going to college or making friends or learning an instrument or starting a family or reaching a new level in a video game. Rewarding things are not always simple. How are you going to preserve Tumblr's uniqueness and complexity while courting growth?

#seriously I would actually like an answer to this #i have 9 years of experience in product management so i GET it.#but also I've been using this product for 15 years and the friction had never been the problem for me #on the other hand my boyfriend is new to the platform and is having a harder time getting started #for the record tho he also doesn't like the for you page just saying #but my experience as a seasoned user IS - and I think should remain - different from his as a fucking n00b #i respect him very much but i don't want his n00b experience #tumblr #user experience #social media
