Two Obey Me zines, my kinktober activities (31 days of hot hot DiaLuci), Diavolo birthday month, creating a new identity on Bloopsky, redoing old work, creating new works… grind is real 🥹 it’s a good thing I love my sexy anime mans.

Due to Twitter fuckery, I will no longer post stuff there (sfw or nsfw acc) other than screenshot reaccs, derpy sketches, on-the-spot doodles for friends. The great thing about Bluesky is that it's got the vibe of Tumblr with the appearance of Twitter and both my sfw and nsft (labeled) can exist side-by-side because people can only see nsft if they've opted to see it. Such a great middle ground versus outright forbidding like Tumblr or allowing but supressing[?!] like Twitter. November 1st = New Tina Year! (secret diary entry and upcoming goals)

I'm mainly writing this down so I don't slack off! Cause if I slack off I can look back on this and think, "wow, you failed terribly. dingus."

Ahem.

Anyways, I am in the process of thinking up some new short term goals now that:

2024 con season is over (with the exception of some smaller events)

Spooky Season is almost over (I like posting non-stop spooky stuff during this delightful time)

Twitter is going inside the toilet

Magazine troubles (more on this below)

I have met the famous man whose inspiration played a big role in both: a) getting back into drawing my old OCs after 15+ years (little round glasses are a bad influence), and b) getting brave enough to be on video after saying I would never do this for god knows how long. (secret: I watched a certain music video with one of his characters the morning before I made my own). BUT HE WILL NEVER KNOW ABOUT THIS AND I WILL NEVER TELL! I AM FULL OF CRINGE!!!

This is what I'm thinking at the moment, in terms of my next creative direction. I appreciate any thoughts or advice!!:

My OC art was an absolute flop in terms of gaining new social media followers. Bluesky seems to be a LITTLE bit better, but it's still early to tell and I haven't posted too many of my OCs there yet either. For the time being, though, I plan to get back to my Schoolism subscription assignments since I've been neglecting them for a bit!

good lord I need to flatten my stomach somehow, as I cannot fit into my preferred fashion choices. I quit watching TV for a while in the summer, which helped a bit (I tend to eat everything in the house while I watch), so I may try this again soon.

arm workouts are going alright I guess, I am gaining a bit of muscle in my armes so they do not look so much like noodles.

Tempted to get back into posting video game screenshots and mini-reviews on social media since people really liked this stuff, but I'm worried it might just add more to my plate.

I'm really enjoying doing videos now, I'm just not sure which direction to take them (or if I even should take them places). I tend to film a lot of myself and a long-time friend in the car just saying stupid shit, but I don't really want to post all of these.

I wish to read more books without falling asleep, jesus christ this is tough.

On a similar note: the magazine I used to write book and comic reviews for has SHUT DOWN GOD DAMN IT so maybe I'll write some new stuff here?? Not sure yet!

I need to get back to my Japanese studies!! I used to do them at lunch and dinner but now I get distracted by all the awful political shit online! Aaaaaaaa!! I really hope America doesn't combust in the next few days but I guess we'll find out soon...

Finally, I need to be more active HERE! It's the best place for longform writing and art that might be a bit too "cringe" for the general public. Let's see if I can stick to it!!

Hallo everyone!  Tumblr devlog time. It's been a while again. I keep writing up posts for tumblr and then apparently never posting them.

This is what happens when I get distracted mid-post write up. I guess? I SWEAR I posted the last one but I don't see it anywhere.  The last post I see is my Episode 1 announcement so I'm either losing my mind or I've written two (2) updates that I never posted.

Maybe both. Because hey. 

Before I jump into the update, I just want to say that I relocated my Steamberry account to Bluesky from the other place. You can find me @steamberrystudio.bsky.social

Since my last update (???) I've completed nearly 8 CGs

Multiple new BGs

Finished Wil's expressions

Completed the flowcharts (building and unlocking)

So I have continued to receive BGs and BG sketches, of course.

I've also completed multiple CGs for episode two. 

I'm trying to do one CG per chapter for each LI so that means I need 12 (but with some extras for Kav so actually 14 for this episode. And I have...7 done I think? (two of Kav's, which I had completed previously) plus one each for Daaz, Noel, Raif, Asher, Yren. And I've started on another of Kav's.

Some of the CGs are solo CGs but each LI will have 1 CG that includes both the LI and Wil. Those, I haven't started yet. But after I finish this last solo Kav CG, I'll start on the couples CGs.

I've also done some touching up on previous CGs - I noticed that there were some mistakes in some of the previous ones I wanted to fix like some layers being inexplicably off.

I also redrew a CG that I didn't previously like but I don't know if I like the new version any better so I may not update it. 🤣

I received new BG art of course. As usual.

And I started putting together an art book that will be available for some Patreon tiers. I may eventually make it available for purchase outside of Patreon but that definitely will not be until the game is complete because as of now, I'll have to update the art book episodically along with the game.

So yeah, lots of art stuff happening. Lots.

Other Stuff:

I have coded the flowcharts. So the process for the flowcharts is as follows:

I make a mock up in simplemind - this just gives me a rough idea of the shape and number of nodes that I'm going to need. I use this to help me figure out in advance how big the flowchart will be as well as any weird shaping issues.

I build the flowcharts in Renpy using the flowchart plug in that Feniks created for me. 

Beg Fen for help at multiple points when the connectors and nodes are not behaving (because of me, not their plugin)

Set all the unlock statements in the game so that the flowchart actually lights up properly as you play.

For Episode 2, there were just over 200 nodes. 

The flowcharts in WSC, behemoths though they may be, are still simplified compared to the actual game branching. I can't really make note of every single branch in the game. Many callbacks are quite small and if I included them all, the flowchart would be insane. It already is. LoL

I don't need it to be even worse. So you can think of it as there being 200+ *major* scene divisions and choice options...

But numerous small callbacks and branching scenarios that don't get noted on the flowchart.

Upcoming Weeks:

My goal for the upcoming week is to actually finish expressions. When that's done I'll consider the beta version of the game roughly complete since it'll have everything I consider necessary for testing.

I'm not sure I'll release it to Patrons right away but just getting expressions done is a huge milestone and I'm really looking forward to being done with that.

This chapter had a huge amount of very large group scenes that were a bit time consuming to code expressions for. 

Group scenes are always a lot of work but even more so in this game.

In GS there were a lot of group scenes but a lot of them were meetings where people weren't necessarily being hugely expressive. In WSC some of the group scenes involve very emotional conversations or very dynamic conversations that require a lot more expression changes. People are popping in and out a lot more frequently....

And there's a fairly long, intense, somewhat action-y and suspenseful SPACE SHENANIGAN that occurs in Chapter three. So the expressions through that section are quite dynamic and are shifting around a lot.

Point being, the group scenes were a pain in the butt.

This will calm down a bit over the next few chapters after Episode Two. I think.

I don't know. We'll see. 

Expressions are tedious. Ha ha.

BUT I'm nearly there with this Episode so there's that. And then I'll be able to focus entirely on testing and getting the CGs complete.

So yeah, lots of progress for Episode 2 so far.

And will hopefully see you in two weeks when I do not write up a post and immediately forget to post it. 💪

This year, he drew my persona killed and did a bizarre hate art directed at my 'headcanons'. Dude is pissed simply because he thinks I hate Metaknight?

And here just recently gave me glorious message on Bluesky, containing all kinds of slurs and insults. This was on October 24th. He actively looked after me on his new accounts just to insult me and block me right after like a coward. The darkveemon account got deleted, but his main account is still there. (He has an interest in Digimon so that checks out as well.)

Another unhinged message under my reddit post back from August 2023:

He pretty much acts like a snake around people he's friendly with. Once you are one of the people he decides to hate on, he spews all kinds of slurs and insults at you. If he acts LGBT-friendly, remember that these are the texts he messaged me, an open lesbian. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also, every time he drew Sirica, he always has this need to dunk on my headcanons lol. Appearantly my Sirica headcanons are all just about being crazy and hating Metaknight lmao

so yeah, those are the most important informations I need to share. Do not harass him back, just be cautious if you ever run into him and block him. I reported him on NG, he got a warning and one of the first images got deleted by NG self (the one with sprites got deleted by Gomogora himself, a few days earlier). hi! though it's a bit sad seeing a lot of ppl leaving and going private or deleting their accounts, i still intend to be active there. i recently started to use bluesky more (or at least trying to), but i still can't completely leave twitter yet. my one reason is there are a lot of accounts that still only post there. lmao. like musicians or voice actors that i keep up with, official anime/manga accounts, and most importantly our God Herself Miyoshi Sensei is also there so 🤷‍♀️ (also i don't really like reposting people's posts from/to other platforms on a regular basis and would rather interact with the original post on the platform where it's posted)

This month will include doing more Just a Little Aftercare short stories, tying off the last of my Zine work, and finishing off the last of the commissions.

From June to now it's been a rough yeah, but I'm making it through and while I could complain, I'm not going to.

I'm a hobby artist. Pokémon and Zelda are two of my favorite things, so you can expect to see a lot of fanart for those two series. I tend to obsess over one thing for a while, but I have other interests that may sneak into my art from time to time. And on rare occasions, I might even draw some original art!

I use this blog mainly for sharing finished artwork, but I'll also sometimes post sketch dumps and respond to asks related to my art.
