Hello! I really liked the tags that you added to the vampire post that you reblogged recently and would like to screenshot them to add them to my own reblog. BUT, the here’s the but, if I remember correctly you expressed sometime last year that things like that make you uncomfortable and I don’t want to accidentally cause you discomfort. So I wanted to check with you if that’s okay first?
oh my god no please go right ahead!!! the thing that was bugging me was people copying my tags into THEIR tags, whole entire tag rambles, without even mentioning that it was copied. it's all about credit :P people saying 'oh I liked your tags' and copying them is SO great, that's a conversation, plus it's very flattering tbh it's so nice when people like what I have to say. people just parroting my own words as theirs is. a weird haunted mirror? idk it feels bad
but it turns out most of that was just an iphone glitch anyway, so it's all good :) and copying tags onto a post is a time-honored tumblr tradition, I would never object to it.
(though if you can copy-paste instead of screenshot, that's way better for accessibility. removes the need for someone to add on an image description later. I hear that's not really doable on mobile so I get it if not, but just. a note idk)
#finx has friends on the internet#this is so sweet of you to ask thank you <3#I no longer mind the screenshots bc the mobile thing is v reasonable#laying that entirely at the feet of the tumblr devs#but I confess it's a big pet peeve when people screenshot tags and then#IN THE SAME REBLOG#add an image description#you are taking up twice the space you need! for no goddamn reason!#this is more unwieldy for everyone!#just don't do that!!#it's not even like screenshotting a tweet where the visual formatting is relevant#copy-pasting a tweet would feel weird and look bad#but tags just need a hash in front of it and then it's clear it's a tag#there is NO need to screenshot if you're able to just copy-paste the text
