Bruce even makes a comparison with his sons and why they would do the same thing as her (Dick to demonstrate his loyalty, Tim because he cannot let someone behind, Jason to rebel and prove himself.) The comparison with Jason continues because the boy is dead, and Bruce refuses to lose another one of his kid, so he hopes that Cass will make the choice to save herself. And when she does, he shoves aside others to help her.

I forgot which issue but I think it was with either cass or barb that they shoved him out of a room on a flooding ship and got stuck 😭

I’m not exactly sure how he got whichever one of them it was out but he had to do it against water that was rushing in and already like chest level but when he did he was like “never do that again that’s my job to leave last”
