And as Zevran’s feet carry him over the sand, Hamal’s voice follows, as colorful and alive as when he’d heard it raised in song earlier that day. “Can I see you again?” Zevran glances back. Nenúfar is nearly out of the water, but Hamal’s eyes are set only on him, his back to the sea, his silhouette framed by moonlight. “Meet me tomorrow,” Zevran calls. “Where you first found me!”
