six movies i can watch anytime

Tagged by @breaking-this-fixation. The task is extremely difficult. Let’s do this.

1. Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Last time I watched this movie I felt quite weird, I was shaking, something was happening to me. Experimentally I paused it and I put my hand on my pulse. It was rocketship fast. I am genuinely in love with this movie. I am attracted to this movie. And I love Nat so much

2. Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith

(or “I did whaaaat?” as in Star War The Third Gathers - Backstroke of the West. Please, do yourself a favour and see Backstroke of the West)

The first time I saw it I was a little kid in love with Han Solo and I didn’t care that much, but seeing it in my early teens changed me forever. I know it’s not that good, trust me, I’ve seen it about 20 times and I am aware of every mistake. But I still remember my broken heart and my face drowning in tears. Obikin is such a brotp. I had a dream about getting married to Hayden Christensen.

3. Anastasia

When I was a kid Anastasia was my favourite princess because of her name (that’s, um, my name). I got a DVD about 3  years ago and I rediscovered this absolute masterpiece. I know Once Upon a December by heart in 5 versions (English, Polish, Russian, Castilian Spanish and American Spanish). The comparison with buckynat is obvious and I’ll never be over it 

4.  With Fire and Sword

And I’m not even kidding. Looking for a Polish movie worth recommending is a dead end. I know, I’ve tried. But Ogniem i mieczem? It’s fantastic. I am able to fangirl over Bohun and defend him with all I’ve got (look at him, who the hell would choose that idiot Skrzetuski, ahh I’m so hetero for my Jurko). It’s a movie adaptation for the first part of the famous Trilogy by Henryk Sienkiewicz (the author of Quo Vadis)

5. The Matrix

I used to love it the way I love Star Wars - emotionally, for the action and for the characters. Now I study at the goddamn pholosophy department and I got to see this movie from a completely new perspective. I’m even writing an essay comparing the idea of live as a dream in The Matrix and  La vida es sueño (Life is a Dream). 

6. Spanish Affair

Ocho apellidos vascos. I had been studying the Spanish culture for a few years before I saw this movie and I’m sure it helpt finding it funny. I cried. Literally I laughed so hard I cried. Tell me “Sevilla” and I will answer with “tiene un color especial”, then I will sit down laughing my ass off. Seriously, I can watch it anytime

The chance that any of you will actually do this is super low but here I am, tagging you for the 100th time, full of naive hope.
