Aha you asked what kind of thing i study so now i have to explain the school system over here!
There's 3 different schools you will be forced to go to if you want a well paying job. Number 1 = basic school (age 4-12) number 2 = middle school (age 12-16) and in both of those you learn all sorts of things (Math, English, socializing, Dutch, french, deutsch, spelling, writing, fighting... Some LGBTQIA stuff bc they teach us that over here.) And then you pick a more specific thing to study (age 16-21) all the different topics makes it kinda hard but i think that's normal
But the only thing that interests me is writing and art! So im probarly going to pick one of those (I'm in middle school right now)
A thing that many other school systems have and we don't is, well tests! Or atleast we get different kinds. Like for history i had a to draw a few things, for English we have to talk to other classmates and for Dutch we have to read 4 books! We do 4 of those "tests" a year and then we get 6 weeks vacation :)
It's pretty fun but also anything that I'm forced to do isn't fun, having no choice but to do it sucks all the fun out of it
I don't know if this helps or how close it is to other school systems but that's how it works here

That is really interesting but a lil confusing :0 you strike me as the artsy kind! But bruh that just sounds so cool!! I wish the schools here were like that- it would take off a lot of stress- we also don’t have any LGBTQ+ subjects here :’( but those topics would come up in our class discussions with philosophy & English! So it was something.
It reminds me of schools in Belgium & the Netherlands! But it is quite different from Australian schools, where we sorta have 2 school levels rather than 3? Primary school (5~12 - prep to year 5) is just like general stuff teaching us fundamentals of everything- & a single teacher would teach all of the subjects (except for music) It was interesting- I feel bad for the music teacher tho úwù having to put up with a bunch of gremlins learning to play the recorder. Japanese is also a compulsory subject for like years 4-8. Then highschool (12~18 - years 6-12) continues it but now we could take electives. After Year 10, we just end up selecting all of our subjects, & that prepares us for 11-12 where we fully specialise in what we are interested in. I was a math/social science student, taking like 2 math subjects, English, history, economics, & philosophy. Year 12 SUCKS cos every single thing you did contributed towards something called an ATAR, which takes the results of your 5 best subjects, do some bell curve stuff, & spit out a number that tells us what uni degrees we can apply for- it was a hell of like 3 weeks of exams & I am SO GLAD it is over-
By the by I do feel you about having the fun sucked out of things you are forced to do- it is the reason why I dropped out of my math degree because honestly- the things I liked in math was locked behind like 3 years of content I don’t care about- there is no fun behind that. My social science degree only like- forces me to do 2 units of psychology which yeah I hate- BUT I would rather spend like 2/9 of my degree doing units I hate over having to slog through 8/9 of a degree just to do the things I am interested-
Also to close off- your school offers Dutch, English, German, & French? 👀 That is so cool! I have always thought of Dutch being Furry German & I love it <3 /pos /lh
