@daadzi continued from this
Izo had been surprised to see the sleeping form of Ace. He had of course heard that Ace was somewhere on the sea, but never had the cross dresser expected to see him again. Izo had a feeling that Ace wouldn’t come back to them, but there was nothing to come back to anymore. The Whitebeard Pirates didn’t exist. Not after the payback war.
With grace Izo sat next to Ace, his brown eyes holding so much pain and agony. Not because of Ace’s words - no he understood why. No these was eyes of a man that had suffered a lot and was too tired to hide it. Even his normally flawless make-up was not so flawless when you looked closer.
“I won’t force you to do anything, Ace. It’s not my right to chose your path for you. Besides, there’s nothing to go back to.” His deep voice was almost emotionless.
A soft sigh left him, as he turned his gaze from Ace. “I’m happy you’re still alive, but I’m so sorry that I failed you. I failed to be the brother you needed in your time of need.” Izo didn’t care if Ace saw it differently, because Izo felt like he had failed his family. It was why he hadn’t stayed with some of them and now his family was been hunted down. And he wasn’t there to protect them. He failed again.
“So do you have a plan for your future or are you just drifting around?” He asked, curious to know. Looking back at Ace, there was a warning in the cross dresser eyes. “Be careful of this man that claims to be the son of Oyaji. I know you’re strong, but we know nothing of his strength and he has killed so many already.” Saying that made his voice crack. Izo rarely let his emotions control him before, but now they did. Almost all the time and he had giving up to be in control. Why should he, when he was alone most of the time anyway?

Hey can I request a scenario where Ace and his s/o are in a battle with some pirates, and she disappeared and then get back very very hurt. How would ace react ?
A/N: Changed it up a bit, I hope this is fine as well. Thank you for requesting and so sorry that it took so long! :) 🌺
Ace took a deep breath and crouched down behind a piece of broken wood, the loud noise of his family fighting against some random pirates slighly muted. He scanned his surroundings with watchful eyes, trying his best to analyze the fight that was breaking out in front of the second division commander.
Buildings were burning on his left side, huge clouds of dust surrounded not only him, but also his crew mates, who were still fighting with gritted teeth. Ace shifted once, when he saw something blue flicker in the very back corner. A second later, Marco appeared in front of two random fighter, who froze at the sight of the commander. The black haired man watched in amazement how Marco defeated them both with ease and as quickly as he appeared; he was gone again. Ace couldn't help but smile, he could feel his heart jump in his heart; No one can surpass his family in strength, he thought proudly.
Ace stands up again and scans his right side. He could see Vista fight in middle of the trees, eyes glued on a pirate with a scarred body. The pirate jumped around from one side to the other, almost making Ace dizzy from watching. The mouth of the pirate opened, fast words spilled out, but Ace heard nothing; the sounds of destruction too loud. His gaze keeps wandering around; he sees Thatch, Izo, Namur and even hears the faint sound of his Captains' power hit through the air. The fight was going well, the freckled man thought yet again, but there was one person, that still worried him. It was you.
While he had crouched down, he noticed that you were nowhere to be found. Not on the left side, not on the right- not even in the middle. He knew he could trust you, but he still felt uneasy. Seeing you in front of him, alive and in all your power would definitely make him feel better.
The fight was kind of your fault too, he admits, smiling sheepishly at the thought of his partner.
A few hours ago, your crew had stopped at an island- your only interest, to take a little break from the sea and just enjoy the nice sunny weather. Everything was fine at first, but when you and a group of your friends decided to take a walk, you had found a large group of pirates, who had the same interests as you; just exploring the nature. The atmosphere between the two large groups was tense, so much was obvious. Whitebeard and their captain had decided to simply ignore each other, dividing the island for the time the both crews were here. You couldn't help but snort at the sight of the pirates, that looked so sure of themselves. If you really wanted, you could end them. All of you turned around, ready to go separate ways, when you heard an unfamiliar voice murmur behind you.
"They even have a fishman in their crew, tch. It must be true, Whitebeard truly is stupid. Pigs belong with pigs, that's nature. "
The blood in your veins had started to boil and in one short second, you turned around. As fast as you could, you walked towards the man that had decided to insult one of your crew mates, your family! "What-" He only yelled surprised, eyes wide open and a frown of his face. He was about to take a step back, when your fist met his jaw, sending him flying to the other side.
"I will show you were pigs belong." You had whispered, eyes flaming up with anger. And just like that, you had started the fight.
Everyone else in the Whitebeard crew had heard the guy as well, but you were the fastest one with your reaction. Ace had stood a few meters behind you at first, but after a few minutes, he lost you. He didn't mind though; you could have your fun, while he had his.
"Oi, Ace!" His head turns to the side in surprise, the loud noises of reality coming back in waves. He sees Thatch standing not too far away from him, clothes covered in dirt and hair a mess. It's not that, what makes Ace almost trip with worry. It's the expression of concern that covers his friends face. "Come here, quick!"
"What's going on? Are you okay?" The second division commander asks as soon as he lands next to the cook, taking two of the opponents with him, their bodies crashing onto the floor.
"Yes, but it's not about me! Run!" The brown haired cook turns around and runs into the forest, that was open in front of them. Ace frowns for a little second, but decides to follow him with large steps. They pass lots of men fighting, some carry their friends on their back and some lay on the ground, unconscious. To Ace's delight; only a few of them are familiar faces.
The more they walk into the forest, the less Ace hears. The dark haired man takes a glance back and decides to stop walking. "Where are you going, Thatch? We can't walk around for ages, they need our help!"
But the brown haired man keeps walking and soon, he stops as well. "We're here."
Thatch stares into a dark corner and visibly gulps. With slow steps, Ace comes closer and finds whatever his friend was looking at - the sight that meets him, almost makes him fall onto the ground in pure horror.
You lay there, eyes closed and wet hair sticking to your skin. Your clothes are cut at several places, blood stains cover your whole body, your face, the grass you're laying on and after he crouches down and softly touches your head he notices; the wetness from your hair is blood as well. He feels his heart stop in his chest. "H-how?"
"Y/N was fighting against three people at once, when someone attacked them from the back. We don't know for sure, but Vista said it was that scarred guy. " Thatch answers bitterly. "It wasn't even his fight, but he still attacked them!"
Ace glances at your figure laying in the grass again, looking like a fallen angel. He pushes the hair out of your face, gritting his teeth at the red color that sticks on his fingers. You breath evenly, as if you were asleep, but the thought of you going through this pain was making Ace see red; just red. With every breath that you take, Ace feels the anger consuming his body.
"Will you stay here?" He whispers to Thatch, not looking up, gaze stuck on your face. Ace can see him nod his head from the corner of his eyes and then; The second division commander is gone, only the faint smell of burnt grass lingering. Thatch sighs and sits down next to you, rips a piece of his clothes off and softly cleans your cheek.
Pain is the first thing you feel.
You wake up fully to the sound of faint wind blowing around you. Your eyelids are too heavy to open up, no matter how much you try and after a few seconds, you give up and lay there in darkness. You try to turn around, only to be met with a warm surface that meets your cheek. Only now you notice, your body being softly carried, the familiar smell of your boyfriend hugging your close like his arms around your body.
"Ace, let me carry her now. You're injured too- don't make it harder for yourself." You barely hear the sound of Thatch's voice. Even though he must be close, his voice sounds kilometers away. Injured? Too? you ask yourself confused.
You await Ace to answer, but instead of his voice, you hear his boots meeting the familiar sound of wood. You must be back on the Moby Dick, you suppose. His hands hug you closer, your face now fully hidden in Ace's chest.
What makes you wonder is the noise of your crew though- you don't hear them at all.
You try to open your eyes again, but instead of light, you're met with darkness as you lose your consciousness yet again.
Darkness. It's dark again. You can feel the soft touch of your blanket surround your figure and the itching on your whole body, the pain not as bad as before, but still not good enough.
"It won't help her, if you sit here all day and do nothing, yoi."
"It's been two days. I won't leave, until she wakes up."
Ace? Marco? You try to open your eyes again and tell them that you're fine, that Ace doesn't need to stay here any longer, but you feel your head turning again and soon, you're gone again.
"Y/N, c'mon now. It's been almost three days." Ace is close to you, so much you know. His voice is trembling as he whispers into your ear. His warm fingers squeeze your hand desperately. "Wake up, please."
I am awake! You scream in your head, but nothing happens. You're in the same position as before and feel the urge to cry, to scream- to react, but nothing happens as your body stays still.
"Why didn't you call for us?" He murmus, a soft smile covering his features. "You're always so stubborn."
Ace, I tried! you try to say, but the familiar feeling of your head turning comes back. No, please don't!
"Wake up now, Y/N. We're so worried, baby, please come back."
You fall asleep again.
The ship sways softly from side to side, the sound of raindrops tapping against the window the first thing you hear- the first thing you see as your eyes finally open again.
You're laying in your own bed, too weak to do anything else besides staring at the window for the first few seconds. You try to sit up, the pain still there, but less dominant than before. You're the only one in the room, you notice.
You want water. It's the most important thing in your system right now, water. Your head turns to the side, expecting to see your bedside table with a bottle of water, but instead, you see flower after flower, balloons and cards laying there. Your lips stretch into a smile, but turn back to a straight line, when you see no water.
A few minutes later, you're in the bathroom. It took you longer than expected to cross the room, you even tripped once. The sink supports your body as you breath heavily and stare into the reflection.
You look bad, you think. Your skin looks dry, your jaw is covered in soft bruises, the same on your arm, your chest and when you look down to your legs, you notice them being bandaged to the fullest. You can't remember anything as you gulp down glasses of water. Not one, not two - only after three glasses you're finally satisfed.
Your feet drag you back to your room and when you open the door again, it's not empty anymore.
Marco, Thatch, two doctors, three nurses and your boyfriend stand there, worry and concern on their features. When they see you, time seems to stand still as they muster your weak figure standing in the doorway.
"Hi." You mumble and smile lazily.
"Y/N!!!" - "Are you crazy? Where were you!" - "You're sure something, yoi." - "Miss, please take a seat again, you can't walk around yet!" - "Do you want to eat something? I'll make your favourite dish!" You can't help but laugh at the words that hit you all at once and take a seat on your bed.
Minutes pass, where the doctors take a look at you and after another few minutes, they leave the room, with Marco and Thatch on their heels. It's just you and Ace now.
"You're crazy, Y/N." He whispers and crouches down in front of you, his eyes full of worry, full of relief and full of love. "Absolutely crazy."
"I know." You say and softly go through his hair. "But so are you."
The second divison commander smiles and plants a kiss on your hand. He kisses the back of your hand, your fingertips and stands up again, hugging you close, leaving a kiss on your forehead as well.
"What happened to your arm?!" You suddenly ask, mustering the stitches on his underarm. You try to touch them, but Ace pushes you away softly.
"It doesn't matter."
"Ace, your arm is full!" You say, voice trembling. "What do you mean with ‘it doesn’t matter’?!"
To your surprise, he smiles. His dark eyes glimmer with love as he smiles at you and you can't help but hug him close. You missed that sight too much.
"I took care of them, Y/N. No need to worry. “ He says and snuggels closer, whispering the next words into the crook of your neck. “I took care of them.”
