I was going through Ena’s side stories because I love her and wanted to level her up and found this gem:

Shoutout to this piece for being the main one I think of for tarot fluff (IIRC the artist goes by 'glider'? in english). Also TIL that healing horns for rams involves hydrating them with mud or vegetation and the like.

Mizuki shivers at the first touch, despite bracing for it, reaching up instinctively to try and cover their horns. "It's cold~"

"What did you expect? It's supposed to help with inflammation," Ena scolds, pushing away their hands. But she does take a moment to squeeze the remainder of the poultice between her hands, to try to pass on some of her body heat. She covers the cracked base with care, every craggy edge, every sharp point, ensuring a generous, even layer covers every bit of exposed bone and the outer keratin.

Mizuki fidgets a bit. They wish they could see Ena's expression. It's been pretty much go, go, go since she brought them back to town. Ena's still got her travelling cloak on, for crying aloud.

Which is it's own assurance, in its way. But. They'd like to know for certain, what she's thinking.

Finally she's satisfied with her work, it seems, a low mutter of, "Looks like it's covered," reaching Mizuki's ears, and her hands falling away. Trusting Ena won't scold if they turn now, Mizuki looks, up into Ena's eyes.

They look into tight eyes, and the image of them running blooms before their mind's eye, a protective, aching fury encircling their own hands, cradling that broken horn.

They swallow hard, and reach to take Ena's wrist. "I'm okay," they murmur, guiding her hand back to where it'd tended so meticulously. "Thanks to you... I'm okay."

She says nothing in reply, but simply folds her arm at the back of Mizuki's neck, squeezing them closer into the warmth beneath her snow-dampened cloak.

It's enough. More than. Mizuki closes their eyes, and breathes.
