lol quick rant /not bc, it's not that deep
lol so I love a lot of fan fic writers in the fandom and I just tend to read ''yn/you'' prompts bc i cringe when i read ''I'' in fan fics , when it comes to the ocs having a name i can rock with it or if she is in second or third person bc that feels a lot more neutral to me idk how to put is...that's not the issue k, so there are some amazing writer (you are a wonderful pookie , dw) so i enjoy some of these other writters and they just make it a point in ther stories that their yn , under no circumstances is to be imagined as a shade below paper white with a pink v , ofc nothing wrong w that , they proceed to say ...ofc member xyz's type would never be anyone of condemned shade which is kind of off putting bc i fear invading spaces yk like i just be enjoying reading a fic and constant reminder like that make me wonder if my kind are lowkey not welcome to read the fic ofc again there is nothing wrong with targeting your work towards a certain demographic or specifying race n character traits , I would still enjoy a good fic just what's with the lowkey wierdness
someone said in thier fic , ''I won't eat brocolli it is gross and ugly like afros''😭😭i feel like thwere should be a no ____ allowed notice on some writers blogs
thanks for listening pookie 💜😘you're so hot for not discriminating!
I actually have seen this happen and I feel so bad because all of us are very unique in our own way OK? Also another thing I would like to point out is that we’re all different from each other. There’s a lot of people with different skin tones, different body types, hair type, different eyecolor, different races, different ethnicities…
I actually feel more comfortable with the reading in third or second point of you as well because I find the first point of view really cringe.
And not everyone is gonna be pink and white or any of that you know? Even though I have a lighter skin tone I don’t think that every single one of my readers are gonna be like me and that’s just completely OK because I’m writing for you guys I don’t imagine a particular type of yn, I just think of their personalities, right?
Oh, and another thing that is that I write for you guys OK I base my characters on you so yn is basically you, to me she’s me because I imagine myself but to you she’s you because you imagine yourself.
I want you guys to always be comfortable enough to read my mediocre writing and feel happy. I am so sorry that you had to go through that. Some of these writers are actually weirdos.
Discrimination is not OK and it will never be OK. We are all made from the same color palette and we’re all made to be loved and love.

Would clothes would the Ericsons wear in a modern au like clothing styles
Ooo, this is a fun ask!
Clementine: Casual athletic wear sort of vibes. Either jeans or sweatpants, cute baseball jerseys, sports bras, etc.
Louis: He wears designer brands and enjoys some jewelry here and there. He alternates between classy understated looks and flashier prints.
Marlon: Honestly not that different from his canon look. He wears a lot of casual clothes and owns maybe one suit (passed down to him from his dad).
Violet: She wears t-shirts and jeans. Hoodies are a must for her and she has a couple of those. As for shoes, it would be some basic sneakers. She also has some nice sundresses but she wears dresses more for special occasions than every day.
Mitch: V-neck shirts and muscle t-shirts. He also vibes with wearing jeans and only wears suits during special dates or events. Had a snapback era but eventually stopped.
Brody: She wears a lot of bright colors. Mom jeans and pastel tops are what she vibes with and cute flower jewelry.
Ruby: Classic southern style clothing. She wears a lot of flannel and jeans. She also loves wearing dresses and dressing up when given the chance.
Aasim: Has cardigan vests and nice dress shirts. For a more casual look, he wears plain colored t-shirts and maybe some fire-inspired fashion too.
Omar: Pretty basic look overall. Tends to stick to purple, greens, and earth tones.
Sophie: Snapback caps, ripped jeans, loose short-sleeved t-shirts with a jacket around her waist. Chill vibes all around.
Minnie: Plain white t-shirts, leather jackets, black pants. Likes wearing multiple rings sometimes. Also sometimes has music-themed clothes.
Tenn: He would probably wear Science Dog shirts, really vibes with dark blue shirts. He wears whatever his parents and sisters buy him and looks good in everything.
AJ: He wears Disco Brocolli merch clothing all the time. Also wears jackets to look even cooler. Sometimes he steals Clem's jackets and wears them even though they're way too big on him.
Willy: He has shirts that are all about his favorite shows, videogames, and random mascots. He has some silly hats too and pants with lots of pockets.
James: He would have a lot of really interesting shirts. All of them have their own flavor of weirdness and fashion to them. Very artistic.

Last week at work we were visited by:
two babies, on two separate days. one was 5 months and a grumpy lil chonk who was very interested in my glasses until she had a poopy diaper and then was Just Not Having It Anymore, and the other was 8 months and also a lil chonk who was super interested in EVERYTHING in my shop
one bichon frise doggy who was the Best Behaved and smiled at me and gave me kisses and is best friends with her owner’s roommate’s hedgehog, whose name is Carl, which is objectively a FANTASTIC name for a hedgehog
one v smol black 2 year old boy. How does racism exist alongside black toddlers? They empirically make the best faces. Have you ever seen a tiny black toddler boy? Especially one who is basically bald and has giant eyes and is grumpy because he had to wake up from his nap to come try on his ringbearer outfit for a wedding? The purest thing. He had a little white tux WITH TAILS and a red bowtie and cumberbund and he hated all of it but he looked SO STINKIN CUTE. And his mom was like “Everybody wants him to be the ringbearer in their weddings, and I don’t know why; he gets halfway down the aisle and throws the pillow.” and we were like “THAT is why they want him to be in their weddings. That is ADORABLE.”
Also this particular little boy reminded me so much of a little boy at the daycare I volunteered at in high school. They were both so teeny tiny for their ages and had the most enormous beautiful dark eyes. It’s been a decade and I still remember that kid. He was such a sweetheart and loved brocolli and milk and would have happily swung on the swings for all of recess every single day. He’d be 12 now and I still wonder how he is and hope and pray that he is having a good life. (Again, how does racism exist when babies and toddlers exist?)
So there was lots of adorable and it was the best

Tonight I made pasta.
And do you know what I did? I made a giant pot, enough for a few meals, instead of portioning out just enough for tonight to know exactly the amount of each thing in my serving.
And do you know what else I did? I added butter. And then I added parmesan cheese.
And guess what? It tasted fucking great.
And guess what else? Now my cooking is done for the next few days.
Being with my boyfriend last week made me realize how much energy I put into micromanaging making my own food and knowing the little details of anything aka whenever I need to cook/eat for extended periods of time with other people my anxiety is through the roOoOof and I am completely in my head and not present whatsoever.
At first I was excited to go back to school and be alone because it meant returning to my safe routine where I have the mental space and physical space to make and eat what I’m comfortable with.
But that’s no way to go through life. And it means that when other people are around suddenly my anxiety has increased.
I am trying to learn to eat by feel rather than numbers, and it’s hard, really fucking hard, when that’s all you’ve known for years.
But if you aren’t challenging yourself you aren’t changing yourself and I need to push myself more. So here’s to my first night back in chapel hill, my first push.
(((also details on the pasta because v good: added shrimp, mushrooms, onion, kale, brocolli, tomatoes, garlic, top w desired butter + parm ;) )))

 10 REASONS TO GO V E G A N
1. FOR THE ANIMALS. Whether you start off going vegan to lose weight or as a dare– veganism ultimately turns to peace for the animals. The cruelty behind mass production of meat and animal byproducts is something that I’ll never be able to fully wrap my head around because it’s just so inhumane and heartbreaking. There is no need to force animals into incessant cycles of pregnancy and birth for years and years, only to have their offspring be immediately taken from them. There is no need to inflict pain upon other beings just for your wellbeing. There are so many other sources of nutrients on this beautiful planet we call Earth for you to be inflicting pain on something just for the heck of it. It doesn’t make sense to eat something that’s dead for you to be/feel alive. You are what you eat.
2. FOR YOUR BODY. When you stop eating super processed foods treated with carcinogens, preservatives, and so many other toxic chemicals– your body will thank you. You will start to feel and look lighter. Your skin will glow and hair will grow. Your body is a goddamn temple and you should treat it like it is. McDonald’s and Burger King are not your friends. If you want fast food, go for a banana or for a plate of strawberries and pineapple chunks. A vegan diet is usually low in trans and saturated fats, which reduces the risk of heart diseases and complications. It improves your blood pressure and reduces the risk of type 2 diabetes. Dont believe me? Here are some facts: Vegans have a 95% lower risk of type 2 diabetes than nonvegetarians/nonvegans (readmorehere). “They reduce the risks of metabolic diseases, coronaropathies, arterial hypertension, colon cancer, diverticular disease of the colon, kidney and gallstones” (here and here). Google scholars has a countless amount of articles on the effects of veganism on diseases and the body, if you’re interested about learning more!
3. FOR YOUR MIND. When I first went vegan, I didn’t believe that the lifestyle would affect me as much as it has. I felt great when I ate vegetables and fruits as a standard consumer, but I felt magnificent when I ditched the meat and dairy. I got this huge load of energy and clarity that made me feel good about myself. I don’t know if it was because I was at peace in my mind that I wasn’t contributing to murder and violence or because after years of physical education, I was finally reaching my vegetable and fruit daily portions so I felt good which led to a positive outlook on life. Almost 6 months later, I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s probably because I’m meeting all my vitamin and mineral requirements. Fortified soy milk is rich with vitamin B12 and vitamin D, essential nutrients for a clear and vibrant mind. Fruits and vegetables are pockets full of sunshine– they do so much good for brain health and development.
4. FOR YOUR SOUL. I think this is one of those reasons that becomes visible throughout your journey of veganism, because it’s harder to explain to someone who hasn’t experienced the happiness that comes with it. It’s not just a diet, it’s a lifestyle. Your soul just feels so much lighter and brighter. For me, it resulted in a spiritual awakening. It’s allowed me to see that we’re not much different than animals– we are all connected through the thread of life. Eating plant-based has risen my vibrations positively and I just feel like I can accomplish more good in this world because of it. There’s just so much love within this lifestyle– I can’t quite put it into words. Or perhaps I could: namaste.
5. FOR YOUR POCKET. I can’t help but giggle at those who downright deny the concept of ever turning plant-based because they think it’ll be this huge investment when in reality it’s the opposite. You’re already buying vegetables and fruits, all you’re doing is saving money on the meat you would be buying. Numbers work great on this one so take my experience as an example: My family spends over $300 buying produce and meat every time they have to stock up their kitchen. Out of those $300, $200 are spent on beef and chicken and pork. Two. Hundred. Dollars. You are saving two hundred dollars that can be used for anything else. Okay, wait. Soymilk is one dollar more than regular milk and you might need to buy more vegetables to maintain your body happy so that might be $20 more. This just means you’re saving $179. That is incredible.
6. FOR THE WORLD. This one is pretty much a given because you’re no longer playing a part in the violence that goes neglected every single year because it’s not targeted towards the same species as you.
7. FOR YOUR HAPPINESS. Clean body = clear mind = positive vibrations = happiness! Also, No Moo! Rocky Road ice cream is cruelty-free and full of deliciousness so whenever you’re not feeling too happy, there’s that.
8. FOR TIME EFFICIENCY. Cooking can be a hassle for meat eaters because they have to season the meat and then cook it well. I’m not saying that all vegan recipes are quick to make, but I am saying that making a salad or cutting up vegetables and fruits is much quicker and time efficient than doing the whole meat thing. Just saying.
9. FOR THE ADVENTURES. Eating salad can get boring. But honestly, salad is the last thing that ends up on my plate. Ever since I went vegan, my taste buds have changed and I’ve begun my quest to find new fruits and vegetables and some processed foods (like veggie burgers, chips, etc.) I LOVE farmer’s markets and they’re my favorite place to find new foods. Personally, I’ve been in love with purple potatoes. They make really interesting and colorful french fries.
10. FOR THAT NEW TASTE BUD PALETTE. I used to HATE brocolli, beets, tomatoes, celery, etc, etc. Let’s face it, they’re just not for everyone. But somehow, my taste buds have changed and now I love brocolli in any way cooked. Beet chips taste so much better than potato chips (maybe the same). Tomatoes are GREAT with lime. I’m still getting used to celery, but nonetheless it’s an improvement to my hatred towards it before.
